Steps to making an injury claimSubmitted by Jack Walters Wed, 5 Aug 2009
If you've been recently hurt in an accident and you were not at fault, you may consider making a claim for compensation for your injury. Making an injury claim for compensation is very easy, and shouldn't cost you a penny if you go down the no win no fee route.
The first step is to make sure there is someone to blame, as the saying goes ‘where there's blame, there's a claim'. This is important as liability has to be established in order for you to be successful with any injury claim. To improve your chances of being successful you should visit the hospital straight after you have had your accident. Whether you have been to the hospital or not is important when injury claims are decided. You should then contact an injury claim specialist such as a personal injury lawyer, and tell them everything you can remember about the accident. Give your details and the details of the person liable, including any insurance details and contact information for the hospital that you attended. The injury claim specialist will probably make an appointment for you to see their doctor so that they can diagnose any injuries that you may be able to claim for. Everything else is then in the hands of the personally injury lawyer.
