The One in Between Divorce and Annulment

Submitted by exregalo

Divorces are now very common among the many civilized and developed countries such as United States, Canada, and members of the European Union. Apart from divorce, there is also a law called annulment. The only difference between them is that annulment is a legal procedure for declaring a marriage null and void. Unlike divorce, it is retroactive: an annulled marriage is considered never to have existed.
Divorce or dissolution of marriage is the ending of a marriage before the death of either spouse. It can be contrasted with an annulment, which is a declaration that a marriage is void, though the effects of marriage may be recognized in such unions, such as spousal support or alimony, child custody, child support, and distribution of property.
The only thing that stays the same between the two is that they both can lead to a lawsuit.
A lawsuit is a civil action brought before a court in which the party commencing the action, the plaintiff, seeks a legal remedy. If the plaintiff is successful, judgment will be given in the plaintiff's favor, and a range of court orders may be issued to enforce a right, award damages, or impose an injunction to prevent an act or compel an act. The conduct of a lawsuit is called litigation.
The reason why divorce can lead to litigation is that often the spouses disagree about the terms of the divorce, which can lead to a stressful and expensive lawsuit. But less adversarial approaches to divorce settlements have recently emerged, such as mediation and collaborative divorce, which negotiate mutually acceptable resolution to conflicts. The Austin divorce attorney is able to provide these divorce settlements.
To be the most effective advocates, the Austin divorce attorney gives personal attention, listens carefully, and focuses on the nuances of each client's case, trying their best to make the process of divorce to have as little stress and trauma as possible.
