This checklist for making a will was produced by the website www.onlinewill. co.uk which offers a simple an economic system for making a will on the web.

Here is a checklist for you to use as a guide of what you will require before you start the process of making a will.

Are you making a Will that is for yourself - a single will?
Are you making a will for you and your a partner - a joint or Mirror will?
Do you know what an executor is and what there role is?
This is a review of the information you will need prior to making a will
The names and addresses of your executors
The full names of any people you want to benefit in your will
The percentages in which you would like the beneficiaries to receive the remainder (or residue) of your estate/assets (check they add up to 100%)
Details of any specific gifts you want when making a will
The full names of people you want to appoint as guardians for infant children
Your credit card to pay for making a will
Your email address
Remember:
Your executors can also benefit under your will
Your executors must be over 18 and people you trust
You don't have to appoint guardians for children when making a will
You don't have to ask Executors/guardians permission before appointing them, although you should always inform them after making a will

Making a will is something that most people put off and, in fact up to 70% of people die without making a will.

I have a blog which highlights the importance of Will writing and covers the reasons as to why one should write a Will. It was stated that over 70% of the UK population do not have a Will, therefore i set out to create a source of information online to assist those that do not have a Will and point the reasons as to why you should write a Will.
