Gardening in and of itself is an art form. And the art of fine gardening is just that, an art. Fine gardening may mean many things to many people, but to me fine gardening means more than just a garden. It encompasses all that’s good and graceful in gardening and combines them to make one garden that is the epitome of all your dreams.

My enjoyment of fine gardening comes not only from the finished garden but from the endless hours that I spend designing and planning the actual garden, from the moment I first have the germ of an idea, to the moment I place the last sapling, and plant the last flower. All I want, all that I can be, should show through when first a person steps into this land of fine gardening, a place of peace and calm where a person can meditate on the finer things in life.

Therefore, a water feature, ideally one that will make a continuously soothing gurgle, with a small stepping-type of waterfall-cum-pond, placed on lovely slabs of flat rock with a hint of moss growing on it. A nice water lily or lotus to give off a contrasting color, and perhaps a fish or two. A few ferns and leafy rain-forest type plants placed around the pond, and I’m finished with this stage of my fine gardening.

Ideally I would love a big tree to stand in a corner of the garden, with a luscious velvety dark brown trunk that I can just about span with my arms, overflowing with vibrant green leaves spilling onto the ground in heedless abandon. Since I might not always get what I want, I’ll settle instead for a few saplings that will one day fulfil my wish.

Since green is my target for the moment, I’d also see about laying a lovely shady lawn that you can sink your bare feet into when taking a turn about your garden.

I love the idea of a Zen garden, but prefer colors and lots of plants, so I would incorporate this feature into my fine gardening efforts by placing a path, naturally made out of rough hewn stone, zigzagging in a leisurely course through the garden.

And to finish it all off I’d have a little alcove, unseen from afar, that afforded the curious visitor a wide-angled view of the whole garden, with a sun shade, and a low-lying bench with a few plump cushions strewn carelessly about, and all of it surrounded by a profusion of welcoming flowers.

In the distance I would set about placing a few boulders, pleasing in stature and color to the eye, surrounded perhaps by a few flowers.

And amidst all this fine splendor I would walk amongst my heartfelt efforts of fine gardening and sigh in satisfaction and peace. For what more is there to gardening, than the art of fine gardening.

--
This article has been written about Fine Gardening by Ali Pahlavani.<

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Acid disorder reflux
Heartburn is a common problem in today’s world. Acid reflux, gastric reflux, GERD, (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) are the many names heartburn has been given. Even though they all share many of the same traits, there are specific medical conditions that can be found in each. Acid reflux or acid disorder reflux is a disorder of the digestive tract.

Acid disorder reflux gives the unfortunate sufferer a burning sensation in their chest and stomach. This painful inflammation is the result of hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid is used by the stomach to digest food. When the stomach and the esophagus canal is not separated by a mechanism known as the Lower Esophageal Sphincter, then the stomach acids backup into the esophagus. This refluxing motion causes an irritation to the sensitive tissues in the lower esophagus area.

Generally the esophageal sphincter muscle functions normally. It contracts and closes the esophagus area after you have had a meal. This closure prevents the stomach acid from rising up into the esophagus during the digestion process. However there are times when the Lower Esophageal Sphincter does not operate properly, then acid from the stomach reflux into the esophagus. This results in the condition that is medically known as gastroesophageal reflux disorder or acid disorder reflux.

The reasons for acid disorder reflux are varied. However they often occur with other health issues like allergies, enzyme deficiencies, gallbladder problems, hiatal hernia, stress and heartburn ulcers.

Food and beverage consumption is another possible cause. It is recommended that you avoid consumption of alcohol, chocolate, citrus fruits and drinks as these are known to relax the Lower Esophageal Sphincter or LES as it is called. Coffee, Tea and colas which contain caffeine must be eliminated from your diet as well. These beverages contain a substance called theobromine.

Fried and fatty foods have a tendency to slow down the digestion process. Eating large amounts of food at any time of the day can put a lot of pressure on your stomach muscles. When the food is kept in your stomach for a long period, there is increased pressure to the stomach muscles. This pressure build-up can weaken the LES.

As this is the valve that protects your esophagus from the stomach you need to take care that this weakened conditioned does not allow the digested food acids to pass into your esophagus. Therefore you should eat small meals throughout the day. By consuming large amounts of food, you cause the LES to relax and reflux food into the esophagus leading to acid disorder reflux.

Tomatoes and tomato-based products like sauces and tomato juice will also cause the LES to relax. These tomato-based products lead to an increase in the production of stomach acid. When they reflux into the esophagus, the acidity levels cause acid disorder reflux.

By watching what you eat and taking care of your health, you stand a better chance of avoiding acid disorder reflux from entering your life and causing you pain, and its’ always better in the long to eat healthy anyway.

--
This article has been written about Acid disorder reflux by Ali Pahlavani.

You can visit my website aboutHearburnin www.pahlavani.net/heartburn.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Acid reflux is a disorder that can affect the digestive tract. Many of us have experienced the burning sensation that takes place just behind the breastbone. This burning sensation has many different names, with heartburn being the more commonly known name. It is always best when stopping the rising acid cure reflux symptoms as soon as possible as well.

Acid reflux happens when the acids from digesting foods comes back into the lower esophagus area. This occurs when the LES or lower esophageal sphincter muscle gets weakened or functions improperly. The burning sensation is due to the fact that the esophageal lining is unable to withstand the rising acidic levels. This is acid reflux.

There are many different ways that you can cure or ease the acid reflux pain. The treatments range from medical therapy to surgical methods. These medical treatments and surgery are all designed with the hope of completely eliminating acid reflux from our lives altogether.

The medical ‘acid cure reflux’ is usually antacids. Generally, antacids should be taken and used more often. Many people have a preference for liquid antacids rather than the tablet variety. Antacids should be taken at least 30 to 60 minutes after you eat.

There are also two Alginic Acid and Antacids that place a layer of foam over the stomach acidic juices to prevent reflux. These tablets need to be chewed well so that the chemicals within them may be activated and the healing properties get released.

There are some medications that can be taken that have the ability to reduce acid reflux pain and eliminate the possibility of the stomach acid refluxing into the esophagus by strengthening the LES muscle. You should be aware that these medications can have side effects to them. You will need to talk to your doctor before you begin a course of treatment using those medications.

Reglan which is known as metoclopramide and Urecholine which is known as bethanecol both directly increase the strength of the LES muscle. They both are known to have side effects occurring from them. The medication called Propulsid otherwise known as Cisapride has been taken off the market due to its cardiac side effects.

Then there are prescription medications that can be taken for relief from acid reflux. However, you will need to check with your physician regarding their side effects. Some of these drugs actually lower the strength of the LES muscle. These include the anti-spasmotics like Levsin, Librax, and Bentyl. Then there are the drugs that block the calcium intake. These are Procardia, Cardizem, Calan, and Isoptin.

Another type of 'acid cure reflux is Endoscopic Surgery. Here the surgery is accomplished by a laparoscopic technique where the surgery is accomplished through tiny holes in the belly button and upper abdomen. Recovery is quicker with this technique. There are as you see a number of these ‘acid cure reflux’ methods, just waiting for you to try them out, and get cured from your acid reflux.

--
This article has been written about acid cure reflux by Ali Pahlavani.

You can visit my website aboutHearburnin www.pahlavani.net/heartburn.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com
