Can people under 18 years old ride a mobility scooter? Is there an age restriction?
People who are disabled or cannot walk or cannot walk very far are allowed to use mobility scooter just as they are allowed to use a manual and power wheelchair. This is a mobility aid that we're talking about so anyone who needs it has the right to use it regardless of their age. The only thing that matters is whether you can sit on it and have the ability to operate it properly and responsibly.

Is riding a mobility scooter on public roads allowed by the law?
No it is not. You can ride the scooter on the sidewalks or pavements but not the road. If you need to cross the road like any other pedestrian then you are obviously allowed to go on the road but that's it.

Are 4 wheels better than 3 wheels?
It depends on your needs. If you need a scooter for outdoor activities a 4 wheeled mobility scooter is preferable but for indoors a 3 wheeled scooter is better since it has better maneuverability and smaller turning radius.

My scooter won't speed up when going downhill. Is it broken?

First, check the cables on the battery. Tighten any loose ones in clean them too. Dirty cables might be the main cause for the "battery power loss". If that doesn't help check the battery charger. If it's broken then it would not charge the battery fully. If the charger is still in good condition then you should find a technician to check it out. The battery could be broken and could no hold the power charge.

You can either get a truck or a van. There are many vans big enough to transport mobility scooters and power wheelchairs. Some examples are Chevy Uplander, Ford Windstar, Ford Galaxy, Dodge Grand Caravan, Toyota Tundra, etc. When you do buy one remember to add a mobility scooter lift/ramp so it would be easier for you to transport it in one piece.

Is insurance for handicap scooters required?
It depends on your local law but an electric mobility scooter is usually not required to have insurance. However it is highly recommended to have one just in case you broke it or it gets stolen or you hit someone/something and need to pay for the damages. Most of the times when bad things happen a simple sorry won't do and digging your pocket is the only solution. The good thing about having mobility scooter insurance is that you won't have to dig very deep.

In air transport a mobility scooter is considered as extra baggage so if you're willing to pay the extra charges then they will carry the scooter. Looking for a solution Ryan browsed the web. Finally he discovered about DLNA or Digital Living Network Alliance. It's an alliance of 250 famous brands of electronic manufacturers. It is said that DLNA will enable the TV, computers and all other digital gadgets in people's home to communicate with each other. Ignoring all the technicalities he stumbled upon one sentence which caught his eye "With DLNA, you can just use your TV's remote to call up the video on your TV". He finally found what he was looking for. Now Ryan only has just one more problem, to get a TV which is DLNA compatible.

Next thing he did is searching the net to find which TV would be the perfect choice to display his collection of vacation videos and pictures. After a couple of days researching he finally decided on a Samsung LCD HDTV more specifically a Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV. Actually, Ryan has some other models he like but they are smaller than this 52-incher. Thinking that bigger is better to show off his videos he finally decided on this model. Let's take a peek at the list he made about the pros and cons of this TV. He compiled this list after reading lots of user reviews around the internet.

Pros:

Cons:

Here is a short list containing eight stuff that you need to consider when you're buying a new LCD TV. I put the non-technical stuff first on purpose because they are often overlooked.

Space
Everybody wants the biggest TV they can afford but where will you going to put that TV? If you intend to put your LCD tv in the bedroom even a 40" will look pretty big. Whatever size you choose make sure it will not add a clutter to your room.

Location
Some TV screen gets a glossy look and glare problem when put in a bright room. So if "TV room" gets allot of sunlight check the reviews online just in case it gets any of these problems. If you buy it on an brick and mortar store it's even easier to check. Stare at the TV from different angles and see if it glares back at you.

Shipping
If you decided to buy online. Shipping can sometime be a problem, sometimes big problems. But i'm not talking about delayed shipping or something like that but the damages that might occurred when you're TV is being shipped. A good shipping company will inspect you're TV once it arrived at your door. If the delivery guy doesn't bother to check the TV after you sign the receipt make sure he stays there while you do the inspection for any possible damages. Hook up the cable, turn it on and see if the picture is perfectly acceptable.

Style
Some look great some look dull. Even though your LCD TV provide excellent pictures but if it looks just like a glass wrapped in a plastic frame you'll be embarrassed when you're neighbor decided to watch the ball game with you. Another problem is the TV frame/enclosure. If it's too glossy it will certainly reflects some of the lights which might distract your from that movie you're watching. Also consider your interior to see if the TV will stand out too much or blend perfectly. Personally i prefer to change my room interior to match the TV than vice versa. But that just me.

Speakers
Built-in speakers are mostly average quality but for me it's okay since my ears can't understand the difference between average and high quality sound ( especially during regular tv programs ). You, on the other hand, may need to get some quality speakers if you're one of those who have super sensitive ears (which i envy btw)

Picture
When you're buying an LCD TV on a brick and mortar store it's easy to compare the pictures because the TVs are placed side by side. But when you're only seeing their pictures online your best bet is the reviews. Buyers that disappointed with bad quality pictures will definitely scream their heart out online.

Price
Bigger screen, bigger price. It's really as simple as that. But when you're comparing two TVs with the same screen size a more expensive one doesn't necessarily better. And since you will need to dig thousand of dollars to buy an LCD Television you really should be picky on your selection.

High Definition?
Definitely get the HD one. It is THE future of television. If you don't get a full high definition TV you'll be missing allot of fun experience with your tv.

6. Clear and understandable menu and control layout
A point-and-shoot camera should be just that. Anyone should be able to take pictures by simply pointing the camera to the desired object then click a single button. My five year old niece can operate a digital camera easily. Taking pictures, movies, view the taken pictures, deleting undesirable pictures and many more. Now, that's what i call a camera with understandable menu and control layout.

7. Effective image stabilization
Sadly some cameras with claim to have image stabilization feature are making false claim so when you're recording a movie they record every shake and move you make. One camera that does have working image stabilization is Canon PowerShot A570 IS.
