The very first task that I work on with my clients is defining a target market (or niche) for their business. We do this first because everything you will need to do to make your business successful, including creating an effective web site, starting an ezine, and creating online marketing plan depends on what the target market is.

Same is true for your coaching business. Whether it is a life coaching business, business coaching business, career coaching business or any other coaching business, it does not matter. If you do not define your target market first, you can't market to it. If you can't market, you can't get any coaching clients, it's just that simple.

I have worked with coaches who have owned their own business for a few years and who still haven't decided on what their target markets are going to be. As a result, these coaches are not able to market their business well and don't have too many clients.

Don't make the mistake that these coaches are making. If you don't know who the target market is for your coaching business, spend some time on this and decide on your target market in the next month. Once you define a target market for your coaching business, you will see that it gets much easier to market your business online and get clients.

Here is a plan to help you use the information about your target market to market your business better:

- Talk about your target market on your coaching web site. Use your web site content to create a message that really speaks to your target customers. Tell them what you do and how you can help them. When your target customers know that you specialize in working with people just like them, they are more likely to hire you.

- Include the information about your target market into your introduction when networking, both online and offline. When you tell others who your target market is, they are more likely to refer your target market to you.

- Find out where your target market networks. Once you know who your target customers are, find out where they network. Now join these networking groups and promote your expertise there. Doing this will help you become known to your target market.

There are lots more benefits that result from defining an effective target market for your coaching business. One of the best benefits is that it will become much simpler and easier to get more coaching clients and newsletter subscribers once you define your target market. If you still don't have a target market for your coaching business, act now and define it.

--
Need help defining your target market?
Here is an exercise I do with many coaches, when I start teaching them about marketing their coaching business online. I say: "Let's say you meet me somewhere, and I am in your target market. How are you going to try to turn me into a coaching client?"

I have heard many different answers to this question:

From a life coach who helps people improve their lives: "I offer great life coaching services. My life coaching services will improve your whole outlook on life! How about I give you my brochure about my services and the coaching industry and you can call me if you are interested?"

From a career coach who specializes in helping people find their dream job: "I am a career coach. I specialize in helping you find a career that you will enjoy more. Here is how I work with my clients....."

From a life and business coach: "Do you know what business coaching is? I can help you and your business achieve results...."

As you can see, these coaches are going to tell me about their services, their business and how they work. They do not discuss how they can help me, their potential client. Instead, they talk about their coaching services and their coaching industry.

Your potential clients are not really interested in buying your services. They are also not interested in your industry or in how you run your business.

All that your potential clients want to know is how you are going to help them solve their problems. Therefore, when you are marketing to your potential clients, you should concentrate on how you help your clients solve problems. You need to discuss the benefits that your clients will receive when they hire you.

If you want to get more clients, stop selling your services and start marketing the benefits of your services. To do that, you have to create an effective marketing message for your coaching business.

Here what your marketing message should include:

- Your marketing message should include information about who your target market is. Since you want your target customers to see themselves in your marketing message and decide they want to hire you, you need to include the information on who they are in your marketing message. To do that, name your target customers in your marketing message.

- Include the benefits of buying your services in your marketing message. Once you know who your target market is, you need to research your target market to find out what their needs are. Once you know what they need, use this information in your marketing message.

- How can you help them? People want to know how you can help them, so let them know what you do to help.

Your whole marketing message should be all about your customers and how you can help them solve their problems. Create an effective marketing message and start getting more clients for your business!

--
Biana Babinsky is the online business expert who teaches coaches, consultants and other service professionals how to create an effective marketing message.
Service Professionals, Work Less And Make More Money

Do you want to work less while making more money?

Why did you start your business? Did you start your business to work with clients, make a good living and spend time with your friends and family? Instead, many service professionals work very long hours and don't have any time to spend time with their friends and family.

Why does this happen to business owners? When you are just starting your business, you have very few clients. So you start looking for more clients to work with.

In the very beginning business owners spend a lot of time promoting their business, so that they can get clients. They spend a lot of time on promotion, but the business owners think this is only temporary. They think that once they have enough clients, they will not have to spend a lot of time on marketing their business.

This is wrong thinking. Even if you have a full client roster, you should still spend time on promoting your business!

As your business grows more and more, it gains more clients. But business owners quickly find out that they still have to work long days. They need to perform client work. They still need to do marketing and networking. I have met many successful business owners with many clients, who are not able to work shorter hours. They still work really long days, and when they are not working with clients, they are out promoting their business.

The only way to get out of working 12 hour days is to create multiple streams of income. Apply the Multiple Streams Of Income Business Model to your business, so that you do not have to work with your clients non-stop. When you have multiple streams of income you can work with clients a few hours a day and bring in the rest of the revenue from other streams of income.

Your multiple streams of income are information products that you create using your knowledge. These streams are passive. Once you create these products you can post them on your web site and sell them. These products can be e-books, books, audio recordings, special reports and more.

When you sell information products in your business, your business changes. When you sell products you do not have to work long hours with your one-on-one clients. With information products you can spend less time working and more time with your family, while still having enough revenue.

When you sell information products, your customers will buy your products without your involvement. You can be on vacation skiing or you can go to the beach, but your customers are still going to be buying your products. Just imagine checking your email and finding out that you sold lots of products while on vacation!

Start learning how to create information products for your business. When you sell information products, you will be able to work fewer hours and take vacations. And while you are on vacation, your web site will still be selling your information products and making you money!

--
Discover how to start creating and selling information products!
Your Web Site Is Losing You Clients

As you are reading this article, many potential clients visit service professionals' web sites. These potential clients are ready to buy products and services. However, they look around professionals' web sites and just leave without making a purchase.

This is happening on millions of Internet web sites every single day including today. Chances are this is happening on your web site as you are reading this article. Your potential clients come to your web site and leave without buying from you.

I have reviewed thousands of web sites that belong to coaches, consultants and other service professionals. I have found many different reasons why their potential clients are leaving their web sites instead of buying. Here are some of the reasons and how to correct them:

- Make Your Web Site Easy To Use. I have visited many web sites owned by coaches, consultants and other service professionals and they are very confusing. It is difficult to ask for more information, find out more about the web site owner or request more information about a product that I may want to buy.

If the purpose of your web site is to get more service clients, make sure that your web site simple to use for your potential clients.

- Write Web Copy That Makes Your Web Site Visitors Buy. I have seen many web sites that were designed well, but their web copy was not very compelling. If your web copy is not compelling, your potential clients will go elsewhere to buy.

Make the offers on your web site more compelling by improving your web copy and buy offering a bonus gift to your visitors. For example, you can offer a free report or a free audio to everyone who subscribers to your newsletter.

- Give Your Potential Clients Very Few Choices. The best way to sell a product is to create a special page just for that product and for nothing else. You need to do this to focus your clients' attention and to convince them to buy that particular product.

Don't sell more than one product per page. Make each page on your web site sell only one service or product.

Use the above online marketing ideas to get more clients for your business!

--
Discover how to get more clients online!
How To Market Your Expertise Online By Leading Teleseminars

One things that many experts do is that they teach. Teaching a teleseminar in a subject that you know is one of the best ways to demonstrate your expertise to your potential clients and promote your business at the same time. Leading a teleseminar is a great marketing technique because it is very easy to use to promote your expertise.

There are many different types of teleseminars that you can teach. For example, there is a one time teleseminar, a series of classes, or create a very long teleseminar series to teach. You can charge for each teleseminar or offer a teleseminar at no charge to upsell your other products and services at the end of the teleseminar. You can use your teleseminars to promote your expertise in many different ways.

I have created a plan for you to help you use teleseminars to promote your expertise

- Decide how you are going to set it up. First, you will need to figure out whether you want to teach a class in your local area or teach teleseminars. I recommend starting out by teaching teleseminars, because when you teach over the phone, you can promote your teleseminar to a much larger group of customers, and, thus, get many more participants.

Also, when you teach teleseminars people from all over the world can attend them. Every time when I teach a teleseminar, people from the US, as well as people from other countries join me on the calls.

- Are you going to charge for the teleseminar or offer it for free? If you are just starting out teaching teleseminars, you may want to offer your very first teleseminar free. If you do that, you will get many participants, and this will be a good training session for you to learn how to setup and teach teleseminars.

You will derive a lot of benefits from this teleseminar, even if you do offer it free of charge. You can use the teleseminar as a free gift for people who subscribe to your newsletter. You should also upsell during your free teleseminar by making a special offer on a product or service to people who attended the free teleseminar.

- Do research, find an effective teleseminar topic and create materials for your teleseminar. It is very important to find the right topic for your teleseminar. A good topic will pack dozens or even hundreds of people on your call. But you will not be able to get anyone to sign up for your teleseminar if your topic is not of interest to them.

Once you have come up with a good topic, create materials for your teleseminar. Once you have the topic and materials for your teleseminar, pick a date and time for your teleseminar and start promoting it to get teleseminar participants.

Remember, leading teleseminars is an extremely effective technique to demonstrate your expertise and become better known to your target market. Start teaching teleseminars today and you will get more newsletter subscribers and clients in no time!

--
Start teaching teleseminars!
Why Your Ebooks Are Not Selling

Have you written an ebook recently? Do you want to make more money with it? The best way to make more money with your ebook is by selling more copies of your ebook!

If your ebook is not selling as well as you would like (or if it is not selling at all), you are not alone. Every week solopreneurs contact me to ask for help with marketing their ebooks. Here are two of the most common stories of ebooks not selling:

- A service professional has spent hundreds of hours writing an interesting e-book, had a copywriter create a sales letter for the e-book and put the e-book up for sale on the web site. It has been a year since the e-book was released, and the service professional has sold a grand total of two copies. He has invested a lot of time and money into the e-book and wants to get some return on that investment. What should he do now?

- A coach has seen many of her colleagues release e-books. She decided to do the same thing. She has created an e-book put it up on her web site. She has posted information about the ebook on a few coaching lists, but no one is coming to check out the e-book on her web site. How can she get people to at least come to check out the e-book on her web site?

Does this sound familiar? If your ebooks are not selling, you are not alone. Many service professionals have told me that they have spent many hours creating an ebook, only to post it on their web site and find out that it is not selling.

Do you want to know why this is happening and how to prevent this from happening to your ebook? Here is how:

- Your target market may not even be interested in the ebook. Sometimes service professionals are too excited about the idea that they create an ebook without finding out if their target market is interested in buying it.

Remember, your target market must want to buy your ebook in order for the ebook to sell and make you money. Before you invest time and money into an idea, survey your target market and make sure that the topic for your product resonates with your target audience.

- Your ebook is not priced for the target market. This is a common mistake that I see service professionals make. Many service professionals underprice their ebooks, thinking that they will get more sales by doing this.

Unfortunately, this is not true. Since the ebook has many benefits and a low price, your potential customers doubt that what you are promising them is true. Great benefits and a low price usually sound too good to be true. Therefore, many people just pass on your great offer. Instead, these people buy from someone else who sells their ebooks at a higher price.

Many times I have seen that sales of ebooks have gone up once the price was increased. Spend some time on researching your product pricing; this is a very crucial part of your overall ebook marketing plan.

- You do not market your product effectively. Many solopreneurs put up a product on their web site and expect it to sell. The truth is that a product will not sell on its own. To have consistent product sales you need to drive web site traffic to your product page every single day.

If you want to earn money with your e-books and teleseminars, make sure that your target market is interested in buying them, price your products correctly and market them effectively.

--
Sell thousands of copies of your ebook! Biana Babinsky, the online business expert, shows you how to make thousands of dollars with your ebook in her Make Thousands Of Dollars With E-books Home Study Guide at http://www.avocadoconsulting.com/rlinks/zebookt

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Are you looking for more clients for your coaching, consulting or other service business? How much easier would your life be if your service customers were seeking you out instead of you looking for them? What if prospective service customers were contacting you every day, wanting to work with you or buy your products?

The best way to achieve all of this is by being seen as an expert in your field. Your potential customers want to work with an expert. They are much more likely to ask you for help when they know that you are an expert in your field.

So, how do you become an expert in your field? You can become a known expert in your coaching or consulting field by following the techniques below. Of course, you will not become an expert overnight. However, you will start increasing your online visibility as soon as you start promoting your expertise:

- Start Your Own Blog. Having a blog is one of the best and most effective ways to share your expertise and communicate with your target market.

You should publish a blog that shares information and news in your expertise. Watch the recognition of your expert status soar as you blog consistently.

- Publish A Newsletter For Your Business. Did you know the first thing that every person does when they connect to the Internet? The first thing they do is read their e-mail every time they connect the Internet.

Therefore, the best way to connect with the target market for your coaching, consulting or other service business is publishing a newsletter.

You should use your newsletter to share useful ideas, tips and resources with your target market - doing this helps you promote your expertise.

- Create Your Own Information Products. Many of the experts I know have created their own products. You should create your own products and use them to promote your expertise.

What kind of products can you create? You can create e-books, books, special reports, CDs, teleseminars and more. Creating products lends you more credibility and expert status.

Get customers to your business web site by showing your expertise! Use the advice above to increase your online visibility and promote your expertise.

--
Biana Babinsky is the online business expert who teaches coaches, consultants and other service business owners how to use their expertise to get clients!
I have seen this happen time and time again. Coaches, consultants and other service business owners spend a lot of time and effort on getting traffic to their business web sites.

They perform effective search engine optimization by researching online keywords, modifying their web copy and getting links to their web sites. Coaches, consultants and other service business owners also use article marketing by writing interesting articles and submitting them to targeted articles directories, web sites and blogs.

In short, coaches, consultants and other service business owners spend a lot of time on learning and implementing various online marketing techniques. And they are rewarded -- their web sites take off and they start getting considerable amount of good, targeted traffic to their web sites. However, despite all of the increased traffic, these business owners are not seeing any increase in sales of their products and services. It seems that their target customers come to their web sites, browse for a bit and leave without actually hiring them or buying their products.

So, what is wrong? What is wrong is that coaches, consultants and other service business owners do not have a working process to talk to their web site visitors. They have created a useful web site and generated a ton of web site traffic, but they stopped there.

What they should done is they should have created a process to be able to capture the e-mail addresses of their web site visitors and continue talking and marketing to them on a regular basis. This can be done by starting and publishing a regular newsletter.

Many coaches, consultants and other service business owners are afraid of publishing a newsletter -- they think that publishing a newsletter will take away too much time from their other business tasks. They want to start publishing a newsletter sometime in the future, sometime when they get a lot of web site traffic and become better known.

However, you should start your newsletter first, before you start working on getting web site traffic and before you become known. This is because your newsletter will help you build your traffic, and it will help you become known.

Here is a plan to help you start and publish your newsletter:

- Get A Service To Publish Your Newsletter. Research a few different services and pick the one that will best serve your needs.

- Decide How Often To Publish. If the idea of publishing weekly or every two weeks scares you, start by publishing your newsletter once a month. You can always switch to publishing more often, once you get used to it.

- Offer A Gift In Exchange For An E-mail Address. Make your potential newsletter subscribers a great offer! Give them an audio recording or a special report on a topic that interests them in exchange for subscribing to your newsletter.

- Market Your Newsletter Every Chance You Get. In order to have a successful newsletter, you need to have many newsletter subscribers. To get more subscribers you need to market your newsletter everywhere. This includes your web site, your e-mail signature, online networking groups and more.

Stop throwing away your targeted potential customers! The first thing that you need to do if you run an online business is to start and publish your newsletter. It will help you promote your expertise and connect with your potential customers on a regular basis.

--
Biana Babinsky is the online business coach, expert and author who teaches coaches, consultants and other service business owners how to build their e-mail list and get many newsletter subscribers.
Many coaches, consultants and other service business owners know that teaching teleseminars brings a lot of rewards to them and to their business. Their teleseminars bring in more clients, promote their expertise and help them differentiate themselves from others in their field.

Unfortunately, many coaches, consultants and other service business owners feel that their teleseminar is a one-time event. Once they get paid for their teleseminar and teach it to the people attending the teleseminar, they don't use it to generate any more business revenues. What many coaches, consultants and other service business owners don't realize is that they can turn their teleseminar into many more information products that can generate profits for their business over and over again.

Here is how you can create a complete information product empire from each one of your teleseminars:

- Make sure to record every teleseminar you teach. This is a mistake that I see many coaches, consultants and other service business owners make every time they teach teleseminars - they do not record them.

Make sure that you record all of your teleseminars. Each teleseminar recordings is a new product that can be used in many ways. One of them is selling the audio recording on your web site.

- Put the audio recording of the teleseminar on a CD and create a whole new product, a CD.

- Use the audio recording as a gift or special bonus that you give away when someone buys your other products. Doing this provides additional value to people who decide to buy your products, which is good for both you and your customers.

- Use the recording as materials for your clients. When you need to teach your one-on-one clients the same information that you shared during the teleseminar, let them listen to the audio recording. Doing this will help you provide additional value for your clients.

- Use the information on the audio to create a special report.
Is your current business goal to get more one-on-one service clients for your business? Do you want to be able to have your perfect clients coming to you every single day?

Many of my past and current one-on-one clients have bought my reports or listened to my audio recordings before hiring me as their business coach. This is the best way to get clients - once they have sampled your products, they are more aware of who you are and how you work.

In this case you already know that your style and approach resonate with your clients. If this weren't true, they would not have hired you after using your products. The people who hire you in this case are your perfect customers - not only are they in your target market, but your approach matches their expectations.

Here is how to use your information products to get perfect one-on-one clients:

- Brand your information products. Every time people use your products, every time someone listens to your audio recordings, attends your teleseminars or reads one of your e-books, you want them to see your brand.

To do that, you need to make sure that all of your products contain information about you, your business and your web site address. You should always introduce yourself during your teleseminars and when you create your audio recording. Use this opportunity to tell your listeners who you are.

There is even more freedom when branding your e-books and your special reports. Use your logo, your web site address and contact information in your e-book.

- When is the best time to let your information products buyers know about your one-on-one services? The best time to let your customers know about your one-on-one services is when they finish reading your e-book or listening to your audio recording. Include information about your one-on-one services at the end of each one of your products. This way, if your customers enjoyed your products, they will be able to hire you.

- Keep in contact with your past customers. Not everyone is going to hire you for one-on-one services on the spot. Some people will want to hire you at a later date. This is why you should publish a regular newsletter that helps you keep in touch with your potential customers.

Creating information products helps you get clients!
