Schedule
Season Showdown is patterned after the actual schedule of the regular college football season. There is, however, a month's interval between the release of the game and the start of NCAA football in the real world. Think of this as the Season Showdown pre-season and you can cool your heels by earning extra credits for your school. The more credits your school has, the easier it will be for your school to reach the championship.

Upon commencement of the regular season, your school shall face a different opponent every week. Whichever team your school's facing in the real world should be your virtual opponent as well.

Those who win in their respective divisions will then battle for the conference title. The top 32 schools still have a chance though, as they fight it out in a single elimination tournament.

How to Win a Match-Up
There are five categories that determine a school's win over their weekly match-up. The school that tops any three of those five categories shall be declared the victor. The categories are listed below.

Games vs. CPU
If you're not ready to face a live or online opponent then no worries because you can just go head to head against a CPU opponent and your win will still contribute credits to your school.

Games vs. Showdown Opponemt
Look up which team your school is squaring off for the week and find a player that represents the said team.

Games Online vs. the Nation
Winning a game against any team that isn't listed as your showdown opponent for the week will be credited to this category.

NCAA Trivia Challenge
This challenge is available during the pre-season and allows you to earn extra credits for your school. For regular season, questions pertaining to the current season will also be included. Your goal is to help your school make it to the top 50 for the week. NCAA Trivia Challenge may be accessed even by individuals who don't own the game.

Allies and Rivals
Finally, you have a category where networking comes to play. Who's your ally and who's your rival? Each player is given five votes every week and even if your school didn't make it far in the season, you still have those votes to look forward to every week.

This means you'll be able to create up to a dozen teams and save them to your hard drive. Earning Extra Credits during the Pre-Season

One feature that most NCAA fans will appreciate is the "Create a School" feature. Fans will surely enjoy creating their own schools which will keep them asking for more. First up are the recruits. In NCAA Football 10, recruits have had an overhaul at Dynasty Mode. Recruits this year aren't just reloaded freshmen. The freshmen will be allowed to grow into juniors or seniors. The recruits won't have ratings that are too high but ratings which are balanced. Only a handful of recruits will have high rating, and the rest will have lower ratings. The quality of the school will also be emphasized. Smaller schools this time will grow at a slower pace when CPU-controlled. This will make the Dynasty Mode for this game will be a whole lot more realistic.

Next up, we take a look at scheduling. Compared to last year, this year's scheduling has gotten way better with its major updates. One issue fixed is that if you win Big East Champ, you no longer have to play in the Orange Bowl, not unless you're going for the National Title. The schedule of Big 12 has been changed into a two-year cycle. First play everyone in your division then play three other teams from the other division. There will no longer be night games on November for the Big 10. The issue where Arizona State plays California and Oregon State on the road has been fixed. Scheduling has gotten better this year.

Poll Logic has also gotten an overhaul. It can now take on season movement at an earlier stage. They also keep an eye out for your opponents' rankings. Another big change is the ranking system. Unranked teams can take on high ranked teams, and if they beat them, they will gain a rank.

CPU Logic also has its upgrades, from how they recruit to how they handle their rosters and how their games are simulated. AI will begin to target exact positions once they've filled all their needs.

Finally, since players now have lower ratings, they will progress at faster rates this time. Your school's quality also has a major role in player progression. The better your school is, the faster your players will progress and gain attributes.

These changes in Dynasty mode will bring the game to a whole new level. All fans old and new will definitely enjoy the Dynasty Mode of NCAA Football 10.

The upcoming video game has great features like "create a school" where a gamer can skillfully create his own team. The new added feature was briefly shown during EA Sports' New York City press event. Everyone present was clearly impressed. Its entirely different from games made in the past where gamers are given the option to create their own players. This NCAA 10 feature is entirely separate from the actual game. Create-a-School first came out in NCAA Football 2000 and was available for the PS2 version in the NCAA Football 2003. Year after year, fans waited for the feature to get better and better. Finally, with the 2010 version, fans can get what they want with the feature called TeamBuilder.
