I don't refuse because I may want to do that MLM also, or at least give it a run with a certain group of people to see how it goes.

OR

I may join because I want to do business with that person in the future. Especially with people that have a large list of MLMers that are offline or who know people who have such lists. In Japan it's called "Giri Ninjyo". A bit like giving chocolates to the boss on Valentines day. Even though there is no love involved the thought is there.

Sometimes I'll join a friend’s MLM if I want the products. Products are normally cheaper that way. Then if I like one of the products I may promote it to product orientated groups or companies that can promote it within their cliental without breaking the MLM rules.

I ask for a downline if I can't see advantages in joining the new MLM. This way the products are free and if the group moves then I'll train and increase the group. If the pay plan is a binary then the request will be to have people on both left and right legs to put me in profit from the start.

The idea is not to have someone give me a big downline, just enough to cover the monthly costs of joining their MLM. The benefit for them is that they will have someone who knows a lot of big players with big lists plus someone who can train that group.

Perhaps this all gets back to whether a person should stick with just one MLM or not. I just happen to be a person who likes to put their eggs in more than one basket if it happens to suit me. I have my main MLM (a binary) but my job is sometimes to "Fit the MLM to the person and not the person to the MLM" so it's advantageous to have more than one screw driver in the tool box.

My main MLM has online tools for online MLMers, but this will not cover my neighbors weight problem or excite a person with a huge offline list of prospects. So I'm always open to listening to MLM presentations from friends and if I can help them and me, a win win situation, then I'll join their MLM.

If it's not a win win situation then I give them real reasons, ones that they can fix if they really want me.

Some people treat their MLM like a religion, one thought, one God etc or a place just to make friends. That?s fine !?

Some MLMers who love the phone and an answering machine call 100 prospects a day, day in day out. You can be assured that their presentation is short.

A great one hour presentation tells a prospect that they will have to give a great one hour presentation to do what you are doing. Is this what you want?

Whereas a business card presentation takes about 3 seconds. Very easy to duplicate. Everytime I get a receipt for something I give them my business card. After all, if they are happy for me to do business with them they they may be happy to do business with me. Get a receipt, give a card. Get a receipt, give a card. Get a receipt, give a card.

With some one-on-one presentations I prefer to just answer questions instead of giving a lecture. The length of this presentation will depend on the prospects degree of interest. In this situation even skeptical types often end up talking themselves into joining. It also shows that I'm not hungry for them to join. A busy MLMer is a good MLMer, ?Are you in or out??

Presenting your opportunity in the shortest amount of time and allowing the prospect the opportunity to take the second step is what I like to do. I prefer a quick ?NO? to a long ?YES?.

Most people want the chance to make more money, they are just not sure if they can do what you are doing to get it. A quick easy presentation will help their decision making processes. Read on:

Of all the business opportunities I've been presented with, I've wanted them the most just after the presenter had left. On occasions the opportunity wasn't for me or was it?


I may have felt they they just wanted to sign me up and get me off and running for them. Kind of like being shown a shovel and pointed in a very general direction of the gold diggings.

Perhaps the hardest part of working any MLM is deciding to pick up the shovel and making a start.

How can you help people make a decision to join you?

How can you get people to join once they've already decided not to?

How can you get prospects off the fence of indecision?

How can you turn a turn-down into a turn-up for the books? Read on:

As with any sales, every sales person gets a "YES" after a certain amount of "NO's, When the "YES" arrives fill out the membership form but leave the sponsor part blank.

Take the newly signed application and go back to one of the people who didn't sign up. Show them the signed application form. Tell them that you have to get the application in quickly and that if they join you'll place that person under them. "Are you in or out?"

Assuming that they or the next person signed up, take the now two applications to the next person and offer those two members as an incentive for them to join. "I'll put these two under you if you can join now, I have to get the applications in today. Are you in or out?"

Then take the three applications to the next person and so on. Waving those applications is probable just the right amount of justification that they need to get off the fence and join your team. If they don't join they will lose those members and all the members they bring in.

The last few people you go to with the applications are the people you want the most. The people who can bring lots of people and or the people you would just like to help the most. You know who they are.

With this method timing is important, people won't wait forever and you need to get the
applications in.

1. With your MLM company, how long does a new member order take to arrive at their doorstep after the application is faxed or sent in?

Let's say it takes three (3) days.

2. Let's say you want to use this recruiting method for four (4) days from the day you signed up that first application.

3. Add the above and you have one week.

4. Tell all your new members that their products will arrive within 10 days.

If you use this method for four days, get the applications in, then the products should be delivered to all within one week and the new members will be happy to have received their orders so early. They all thought it was going to take 10 days.

Once you have used this method successfully, keep doing it, and more importantly teach it to your new people. It makes the tough work to get the first person a whole lot sweeter

After you get the first person, go flat out, the clock is running!

Remember, "If at first you don't succeed, avoid skydiving".

Most people who fail in MLM fail by only walking halfway down the road of success, only to return to the starting line of a different MLM or sadly never to start again. They lack the vision and in most cases a simple knowledge of the beauty and power of MLM. Similar to seeing a glorious brick home, but failing to see the individual bricks it took to build that home.

A beautiful brick home does not appear over night. It all starts with a person with a vision. He moves that vision into action to form its reality. The land must first be cleared of all mistaken beliefs. The foundations formed from consistent determination and perspiration.

Brick homes are built one brick at a time. The more brick layers you can find the quicker the structure is built. Building your MLM is no different. After awhile you'll see the building grow by itself, sell itself and make you lots of life changing options forged in financial success. You are the builder. Every building needs a plan. A written plan that is branded with incremented deadlines.

Each construction needs a boss, a leader, you. You are your own boss. Look again at those five words: "You are your own boss". There is you the worker and you the boss. You've contracted to work your way to success, and the boss is with you every second of the day. You form an agreement for the success you crave. You state the days you will work, the exact time and hours of work that you will put into building your empire. When you take a little time off to drive to the pub, bang, there he is, staring you in the mirror screaming breach of contract. You are your own boss, so be strict and stick to your own agreement.

Earning $10,000 a month in Multi Level Marketing is extremely easy! The hardest part of making $10,000 per month is the first $1,000. Read this paragraph again, it's a need to know!

Are you familiar with Geometric Progression?

There are interesting points to be noted about the above 12 month plan.

A) How many members did you personally sponsor each month?
The answer is one.

B) How many did each member sponsor each month?
The answer is one.


If you can stick at MLM for 12 months, bring in one new member per month and have them do the same then the above results are practical.

Unfortunately most people can't wait to be rich. They can't wait for pay day. They give Network Marketing six months and finish. Why? Because they feel things aren't moving quick enough and the grass on the other side of the river is starting to look greener and greener.

In the above example the new member after six months of hard work has only 63 members. If he sticks things out to December he will have 65 times as many members as he has in June. Let me just repeat that. Come December he will have sixty five times more members than he had in June. That is the beauty and the power of MLM, Network Marketing.

So my question is, "How much time have you decided to give your MLM, Network Marketing Business to work for you?" If you're only going to give any MLM six months worth of time and effort then your result will be minimal.

Remember, the only place were money comes before work is in the dictionary.

Firstly you have to work for your MLM and work real hard. Then your MLM will work hard for you.


If someone was willing to pay you $4000 a month for 12 months to recruit just one person a month, would you? Do you think you could?

If after the first 12 moths they offered to pay you $10,000 a month would you continue to get one person a month for the Network Marketing Business?

Have your ever heard MLMers brag about the 1000s of members they have in their downline, or in the upline's downline? Just remember, they didn't do it all by themselves. They may have only brought in a handful of those total members.

The difference between success and failure in MLM is basically a time factor and your level of consistency in working your plan. The more people you sift through the more success you'll have.

I'm sure that you'd love to have 4000+ members after only twelve months. You know that the formula for everyone, including yourself, is to bring in only one member per month and have that member do the same.

The problem is, how do you give yourself a better than average chance of this working for you? The answer is: recruit more than one member per month. Personally I bring in 5 to 10 per month. If you want 4000+ members in your downline then work on everyone bringing in two new members per month just to make sure.

If you like playing " What if " to get you motivated, just go back and see how many members you would have if everyone brought in just two members per month over 12 months.

How do you ensure that your downline will recruit for you? Well, the answer is you can't. You can only ensure that they can recruit. Can meaning that they have befor them the means to recruit.

The team needs to be fed, on a monthly basis, a combination of online and offline leads. Leads that have been pre-qualified as being people interested in Network Marketing or business opportunity. If your team has leads that they can work each month then the chances that they will work are in your favor.

Importantly they need the training on how to turn those leads into members. The training could be by telephone. Not everyone is online, and not many people want to travel to and pay for meetings. In this day and age of Fax On Demand, Voice Systems, the Internet, there is no reason why a home business can't be just that: A home business.

Most of you reading this are probably in America. I'm an Australian living in Japan. I run my American MLM and mostly American team from Japan. With the systems that my MLM company have in place for me I do not suffer "The Tyranny Of Distance". I work an American MLM using mostly American Leads from the comfort of my home here in Japan.

There is definitely a combination of factors that will lead anyone to financial success in MLM. They are:

1. Good Primary MLM.

A sound debt free company that you can rely on to be around the next few years.

2. Member Retention.

It's no use shoveling lots of members into a business opportunity if they are just going to drop out. Great products or services and a great company does not build most of your retention factor. Good downline communication helps greatly but the key factor to retention is usually profit. For example, my internet business costs $29 a month. So I knew from the start, that the most members I needed to get was three.

Most people will not retail unless they have had a great result with the product or service. Profit in the form of commissions over and above monthly commitments is what is important and will keep your members recruiting new members into their team. Teaching your members how to get new members will put both you and them into profit.

Members are a bit like Pelicans, if you feed them fish they keep coming back for more fish. Don't feed them fish, teach them how to fish. You teach them everything you know, then they add their know-how onto that and you have a better member than yourself.

3. Prospects.

It's no use having the best company, the best product or service, the best pay plan if you haven't got people to introduce it all to. You need a constant source of people to talk to or to put into your lead capture funnel etc. People who give up on Network Marketing and give it a bad name to boot are people who were not prepared to work the business. It's no use being on the road to success if you don't walk it a little everyday!

4. Consistency & Time.

To be successful, to obtain your MLM, Network Marketing, dreams, you need to add consistency and time to the formula. You need to be consistent in the numbers of people that you contact over a set period of time. If you don't have clear cut goals every little bump in the road will become a mountain to climb over. You only lose your way when you take your eyes of your goal.

The hardest part of making $10,000 a month in Network Marketing is the first $1000.

5. Goals and Plans.

You need immediate, short term and long term goals. Your immediate goal should be to get into profit. If you need to get X amount of people to be in residual profit, then you need to get them now. You may have to get them all yourself, but normally new members will bring in new members so you may not have to get them all yourself. Never rely on others to do your work, get them yourself for you will be better for it.

Be serious. As serious as a heart attack. Members that are not in profit blame their failure on broken promises, the company, the products, you name it. So take care of yourself first. Your business is YOUR business. Your failures are YOUR failures.

There are only two people that are responsible for your success in MLM, Network Marketing. They are you and yourself. You need to plan how you are going to get new people!

When I was in the the Victoria Police Force, Detective Training School in Melbourne, Australia, my old Sergeant said, "Failure to Plan is Planning to Fail". You need to know where your prospects are going to be coming from.


6. Understand your Compensation Plan.

Grab your calculator and have a real good look at your compensation plan. Your first goal is to be in profit. In some plans strategically placing members will give you the quickest profits.

Money is not everything, unless you don't have it. We don't work our MLM, Network Marketing business for the money. We work it for the options that money can buy and the people we can help on the way. Think of what you could do with $10,000 per month. You may like to give it to your parents, buy a car or two, a house or two. Give it to your favorite charity. The options are only limited to your imagination and goals.

Time will work for you as you work for your MLM. Consistency will prove you a winner. Your goals will be your stepping stones on the way to the winning line. You will have your school of fish and a whale of a time swimming the oceans of options that MLM, Network Marketing has provided so simply for you. Read on:

There are some great web site tools out there that you'll want to use! This article will give you things to look for when deciding on a host, domain or getting a better one than you have now.

1. Try them out q(^.^)p

A good hosting service will allow you to use their services for free for a limited time or at least a demo. If they don't have either, hah, get out of there. You need to check out the graphics, templates etc. Do you like them?

If you don't like what they have you'll find yourself spending time searching and finally buying templates and graphics from someone else. Try them out first.

Do they offer one of those fancy splash or flash pages? Not a real necessity but hey, I want one. Some are great and some not. Do they suit the real me :) Check out their collection of bells and whistles. Good for impressing your friends and visitors.

Those templates, graphics, splash pages, bells and whistles let your site give you professionalism, but can you completely change the look of your site with one or two clicks?

2. Ask dumb questions (@_@)

When you consider joining any web hosting service that allows you to use their state of the art web page building services, you are going to have questions!

There is nothing more frustrating than being in a hungry hurry to get your web site together and not being able to do it. This, will waste your late nights and weekends in a big way.

Make sure the service is quick and friendly to answer your questions, no matter how silly they may seem.

As easy as user friendly software is, it's sometimes difficult to understand at first, (bit like, "Where's the salt? "In front of you・. For example I wanted to upload an .exe file and the software told me I couldn't (like most free hosting services do). I questioned my host and found that I was uploading in the wrong place :)

If you are like me, you are going to have great questions and some real hah hah funny ones. You need a hosting service that will treat each question equally and give you the exact easy steps to follow. You don't want high tech jargon or inadequacy to add to the problem.

Until you get a good hold of how every great thing works you will have a lot of questions I'm sure. Good customer service is a must. Try them by asking a question, even a silly one :)

3. Traffic to your site (^^ゞ (^^ゞ

Without traffic to your great site, especially a business site, you won't have much joy. A bit like wetting your self in a wet suit, feels nice and warm to you but nobody notices :)

Does the web hosting service offer ways to get traffic to your website? Or are they letting you wonder off in search of paying some other service to provide you with traffic? It's easier to have everything in the same place.

4. Get a good domain -(^.^)/

What's in a name?

The shorter the domain name the more valuable. A domain name that is easy to remember is easy to find. A domain name that won't be misspelled helps. A good domain name should reflect the contents of the site or be of a general non restricting nature.

Domain names are property. You may want to sell it one day.

Some domain name registering services only register domain names and don't have a hosting service. This means you will have to move your domain to a domain hosting service. This takes time and is a waste of your time. You are better off buying your domain name from your hosting service.

According to a new report from Verisign, 4.6 million new domain names were registered in the second quarter of 2004, representing a 2.5 percent growth over the first quarter, 2004. In all, worldwide domain name registrations reached a peak of 64.5 million domain names, a 7 percent increase over end of year 2003.

The domain name rush is on.

5. What's in a host (?_?)

Choosing a hosting service is like getting a present, the wrapping and the size are not often much of an indication of what's inside. Which would you prefer: (A) Giving someone $100 to buy you a present or (B) Taking $100 and choosing your own present?

I prefer to know what I'm getting! This is why I recommend getting a hosting service that will give you a no obligation trial period. A trial period that gives you full use of their service without any tool, template etc, limitations.

6. How to get your monthly hosting for free ($_$)

You may also be surprised to hear that I don't pay my hosting service!

They pay me, each month. I prefer it that way and I'm sure you will too.

If possible, I only use services that have an affiliate program. This meaning that if I introduce a couple of friends to the service I can get it for free or eventually have the hosting service send me money each month. I'm sure you'd also like that possibility.

In conclusion, there are many places to where you can buy a domain name, let's get a good short one. Building your website can be heaven or hell so go with a company that has the tools to let you do it easily and with customer service to answer all your questions quickly. Be sure they have a system to supply your site with traffic, lots of visitors. Be sure to try their web site building tools before they bill you.

If you enjoy your hosting service and feel them worthy of introduction to your friends then the hosting service may become your bank accounts best friend. Read on:

1. OK, let me explain

Free classified ad sites are easy enough to find, simply go to any search engine and put in "free classifieds" and place your ad in as many sites as you like.

Most classifieds ask you to put in your email address for responses. Don't use your normal address, get an auto-responder.

Use the auto-responder address in your ad. Your auto-responder instantly sends out your pre-imputed message to those requiring more information.

2. But what else happens to your ad?

Basically two things; responses from interested persons and spam from spammers. The advantage of an auto-responder is this: From your free classified ads your auto-responder address will most likely be harvested onto spam lists by email gathering software. Which is a good thing!?

Now every time someone spams your auto-responder address they will get your auto-responder message advertising your website, opportunity etc. Spam lists in turn get on other spam lists that eventually get sold to real people using real addresses believing them to be opt in lists.

If you get sick of the spam mail being redirected to you by your auto-responder, you can have your auto-responder messages directed to a dead address.

3. Dealing with classifieds

Now let's say you've decided to put in five classifieds a day. What I recommend you do is; each time you get to the page where you enter your ad details that you copy the URL to that page and keep it filed on your desktop. After one month of doing this you will have about 150 URLS that take you directly to the ADD YOUR POST page of 150 classified sites. This will also give you a speedy advertising system.

Simply cut and paste the ADD POST URLS you collected to an email and send it to yourself. Then all you have to do is click on the URLS and you'll be taken directly to the ADD POST of each classified. With this system you may now add your ad to 10 sites per day as things are a whole heap faster.

4. Bring in the robot

You'll soon be sick of typing or pasting your name into each classified so to cure that there is a free form filling robot that you should use. By clicking or pasting in the following URL and hitting enter you can now download the form filling, password protecting robot.

Your personal password will stop others from accessing this great little robot. You'll never have to remember passwords etc again.

5. Tracking outstanding classifieds

If you want to know which classified sites are pulling the most prospects you can key each ad with a number. E.g. "Website Hosting Now MLM, for more information put "Free 22" in the Subject". Just remember to put the same number next to the URL you saved from that web page so you can tell which site is attracting the most people. You can probably think of other ways to track ad responses. Tracking is important because you'll be able to concentrate on the more responsive classifieds and discard the rest.

Also make sure your ad title stands out amongst the crowd e.g.

******$$$$ MLM HOSTING $$$$******

Also put in a few key words at the end of your ads as some sights run like a search engine. e.g. mlm, money, etc.

Now when you see spam in your inbox and notice that they sent it to your auto-responder address you'll appreciate it. It also saves you time sending your message back to them as they already have it. Those high tech spamming robots now work for you, free of charge. Read on:

Register at auto surf websites using the information from step 1. To see which sites I recommend pop along to my website.

Step 4

Register Banner Exchanges: To see which sites I recommend pop along to my website.

Step 5

Join banner exchanges and place their banner HTML (banners) on your new banner page.

Step 6

Before you go to bed open up the auto surf websites and leave your computer on over night. This will give you auto surf points.

Step 7
In the morning log into each auto surf site and move the points you earned to your banner URL.

Your banner website URL will now rotate on the auto surf sites earning you points at the banner exchanges.
The banner exchanges will then be showing your banners on hundreds of different sites around the web bringing you MLM Leads.

If you love what you are doing and it is improving your business then it's not work and you will not feel the need to give up.

For those who are having trouble doing things due to a lack of anything then there are at least two immediate things you can do:

1. Is to measure your results. If you can see your results and see that you are improving then that in itself will help you to continue.

2. Sometimes putting a deadline on activities will help because you can see an end in sight. E.g. If you have issues with talking to people about your business or cold calling on the phone etc then decide to do it for a limited time. "I'm going to talk to one person every weekday for 3 months!"

Doing this you have a daily obtainable goal and a deadline to stop the activity and re-evaluate the results. You may find that you have a passion for what you thought you wouldn't like to do.

Can we be persistent without passion? I don't think we can.

Perhaps passion is just a very big "Why" that fuels persistency as the big "Whys" are normally emotionally based like anger over poverty. Where a person gets to a stage of "poverty" that makes them so angry that they decide that they never ever want to return there.

The feeling of disgust over their situation drives them to be financially successful. In this case the vehicle is MLM.

Or their "Why" may be a passion of love. Love to help another get over physical, mental or financial problems.

Perhaps to be successful you need a "Why" so big that it becomes a passion with enough emotion to keep you persistent to the end.

Most people have a "Why" for doing MLM but perhaps the size of your "Why" and its degree of emotion dictate results.

How can conversion rates build your downline?

How many people can you convert from being a prospect to an MLM partner, a member of your downline and onto being an MLM Star? What are your conversion rates of prospects to being your MLM downline partner. A lot of MLM members may say 10% 20% or 30% yet some will say 50%. What is the difference?

Conversion is difficult. Like people wanting to loose weight. A LOT of people need to loose weight, but how many actually do? Many people want to make an extra income but how many actually do? Kids in school love to think that they may one day be a sports star. They play their sport in Elementary School, Junior High School. Some go onto play it in Senior High School. A few of those go onto play it in University and very few of them go onto become stars of their sport. Many become to treat the sport as a hobby.

Don't be disappointed if your conversation rate is low. Helping people is sometimes a difficult thing, even when they know it's better for them! If you spoke to 10 smokers how many could you get to stop smoking? If you spoke to 10 overweight people how many could you get to lose weight? Alcoholics? Convert to a religion? Buy a certain car?

What is your conversion rate?

Most MLM members don't even take statistics on their conversion rate.

Have your members keep records of how many prospects they talk to over the month.

Have your members keep records of how many members they then get over the month.

What is good about this is that they will have their own personal conversion rate using their current recruiting techniques. Why is this good? Let's take a simple conversion rate of 10%. So you have a guy in your downline prepared to note his conversion rate and he says that his conversion rate is 10%. He know knows that if he talks to 10 prospects that atleast one of them will join his downline.

One new member out of 10 prospects may or may not sound good, but actually it doesn't matter. What this new guy now knows is that if he wants 10 new members this month that he must present his MLM to 100 people this month. Sounds like a lot? Is it?

Conversion rate is 10% ( one out of 10 people will join his MLM ).

He wants 10 new members this month.

To get 10 new members this month he must talk to 100 prospects this month.

A month has 30 days.

100 prospects divided by 30 days.

To get his goal of recruiting 10 new downline members this month he needs to talk to three (3.3) prospects a day.

If he makes $100 per new member sign up, then he makes $1000 a month.

If you divide the $1000 by the 100 people he spoke to he is averaging $10 per person he speaks to. He now knows that he is getting paid $10 for every NO he gets and $10 for every YES he gets. Now your new member doesn't care if the person says YES or NO.

Now knowing that he'll be paid the same for a YES or a NO stops him from appearing hungry to sign up the prospect. This will in fact increase his conversion rate! He is now looking for a quick Yes and a quick NO. He doesn't care which he gets. He knows his conversion rate! He shows the prospect the business opportunity and then takes it away from them. Not what the prospect expected. The prospect now sees that the opportunity is not for the guy to sign him up but for the prospect to get into the MLM business.

The term "Paper Downline" was first made by Michael Brymer the owner of www.mlmbuff.com and can be used as a system to build a huge downline.

The paper downline can be used in the country you are in or in the country you intend to build a downline in but due to your MLM restrictions are unable to currently build a paying downline in.

Let's take the example of situation where your company is going to open in let's say Japan next year. Your MLM doesn't currently allow members to sign up
members in Japan until the official opening of your MLM in Japan.

Let's also say that the company's name is Super MLM Success Millionaires. Now you can't go to Japan and sign up Super MLM Success Millionaire members now or your company will more than likely cancel your membership and give your downline to your upline.

So step one is not to use the company name. Think of a different name such as Friends Of SMSM. Step two is to make an application form for Friends Of SMSM

On the application form you will need a few basic things.

1. Name of applicant.

2. Name of sponsor.

3. I.D. number ( usually the applicant's full phone number - cell phone is best )

4. Home address.

5. Email address ( 2 if possible )

You could do this on the internet but not everyone is on the net.

Going to Japan may not be an option for you at this stage. So the best thing for you is find an English speaking person, whether Japanese or not, but someone who speaks the local language.

The SMSM application forms will also have to be in the local language which means a translation.

OK, let's assume that you have a contact in the country and the application form is in the local language. It's now up to you to work with you contact to get things going. All people in the country really have to know is that a big new MLM is coming and they have the chance to build a downline before it arrives.

The overseas contact then starts recruiting as in any normal MLM but should target MLMers in that country first. Signing up people should not be too hard as it is not costing them anything and they have the prospect of gaining a huge downline in a new MLM business opportunity in their country.

You could use a paper downline system in your country, build a large downline and then hold meetings and decide what MLM is best for the group. The meetings could discuss possible MLMs that the group may consider. It doesn't really matter what MLM the group joins as you'll be at the top anyway.
