Husqvarna Motorcycles are a world renown company that has been around since the beginning of the 1900's. In the mid-1900's, Husqvarna motorcycles were untouchable and dominate in every division until a change in ownership made it difficult to keep up with the high demand for production. Since then, Husqvarna has been slowly working its way back into the racing scene but with little success until now. The Husqvarna motorcycle company was sold once again in July of 2007. Will this new change in ownership be enough to bring Husqvarna motorcycles back into the #1 position?

The legend of Husqvarna motorcycles started back when Husqvarna rolled out its first production motorcycle in 1903 from their factory located in Huskvarna, Sweden. Husqvarna has always been known for producing world-class motocross and enduro bikes with unbelievable sling-shot power bands. Husqvarna won many world championships back in the 60's and 70's in both motocross and enduro classes. Husqvarna was winning championships in all of the 125, 250, 350, and 500cc divisions with some years winning multiple championships.

Husqvarna absolutely dominated the competition for decades until 1987 when an Italian company named Cagiva purchased the Husqvarna motorcycle division and moved production to Varese, Italy. Cagiva introduced some new 2-stroke models and did away with the old 2-stoke models which already had numerous championship titles but still kept the same 4-stroke models. The new 2-stroke bikes had difficulty competing with the Japanese made bikes and Cagiva couldn't produce enough bikes and parts to supply the high demand. This change in ownership is why Husqvarna motorcycles and parts became so hard to find causing them to be known more as a rare and exotic motorcycle.

It has been 2 decades now that Husqvarna motorcycles have been struggling to get back into the competition field only taking a world championship here and there, but with a new change in ownership may prove to be the end of the struggle. In July of 2007, the BMW Motor Company decided to purchase the Husqvarna motorcycle company for the sole intention of marketing Husqvarna motorcycles to help market BMW's line of motorcycles. You see, BMW makes large-engine motorcycles and they want to market Husqvarna's small-engine motorcycles to help bring the young crowd’s attention to BMW’s large-engine motorcycles. BMW plans on running Husqvarna just as it is with the same factory and staff.

Now Husqvarna has exactly what it needs with all the financial support of BMW, the world renown car and large motorcycle manufacturer, to help bring Husqvarna back on top of the competition. With 2 world renown companies bringing their ideas together they can start producing larger production factories, more dealerships, new technologies, and millions of dollars in advertisement to let it be known of the new change. This potent mix is going to cause a revolution in motorcycle designs of the future and it is just around the corner!

--

For more information and updates on Husqvarna Motorcycles or Husqvarna Parts, check out HusqvarnaOutlet.com - your World-Wide supplier of New, Used, and Vintage Husqvarna motorcycles and parts!

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

There are always hazards when working with or around power tools. Power tools are very powerful devices that when not used with care, they will cause some serious damage to you and anyone else around the work area. Preventing accidents in the shop or out on the job site should be your number one priority.

Before attempting to use any power tools, I recommend first reading the power tool operator’s manual for any precautions involving the specific power tool being used. Every power tool is different and has its own purpose on the job site. Different safety gear is required for different power tool use. Make sure you have the proper safety gear on before using any power tools.

The most common and important piece of safety gear is shatter resistant safety glasses. Safety glasses are a must have in every work area because their will always be flying debris. Whether it is from your power tool or someone else’s power tool from across the room. Power tools can fling debris into the air at very high speeds that can cause serious injury or even death.

Once you have glasses protecting your eyes, now you must protect your ears from any loud noises in the work area. When working with power tools, especially metal working power tools, the work area can become very noisy and can cause damage to your ear drums over time. By simply wearing ear muffs or using ear plugs will help prevent loud noises from damaging your ear drums.

Now that you have your proper eye protection and ear protection in place, it is time to roll your sleeves up and go to work. Make sure that you remove any loose clothing or jewelry before operating power tools. By properly using power tools in a safe environment, you not only protect yourself but you protect everyone else that is in the same work area.

--

Written by Chris Nicholas- Owner and Webmaster of <a target="_new"href="http://www.handypowertools.com">www.HandyPowerTools.com - Supplier of dependable, high quality <a target="_new"href="http://handypowertools.com/cordless_power_tools.html">Cordless Power Tools and <a target="_new"href="http://handypowertools.com/electric_power_tools.html">Electric Power Tools with 100% Satisfaction Guarantee!

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Power tools in general are a great designed tool that have a lot of uses and are relatively cheap. But when you decide to buy a power tool, how do you know whether to buy cordless or electric? They are both great power tools and it all depends on where and how you will be using your power tools that will determine what kind you should invest your money in.

Cordless power tools are relatively new compared to electric power tools. They have a light weight, compact design for less user fatigue and ease of use. They can go anywhere because they are battery operated and only require an outlet for charging purposes only. Most Cordless power tools range from 12 to 24 volts and have an average battery life of 2 hours.

Even though cordless power tool batteries have made leaps and bounds in technology for larger capacity batteries with longer lifetimes, electric power tools have far more power than any cordless tools of the same style. Cordless power tools have to keep their batteries small and compact for a lightweight design. Cordless power tools are not able to produce the same amount of torque and speeds compared to electric power tools.

Electric power tools have revolutionized our way of life since the turn of the century. Since then, every building in our country has had some kind of help from power tools in the building process. They are a simple designed tool that only requires a power outlet to plug into for operation. Electric power tools have an incredible amount of torque and can run at amazingly high speeds up to 14,000 RPM’s and more. Electric power tools are always ready to be used as long as there is a nearby outlet for a power source.

Even though electric power tools have massive amounts of power, they still require a live power outlet to operate. But sometimes you might be a distance away from an outlet or have no outlet. That’s alright because you can run extension cords to your work area from a nearby outlet or generator. But then you have extra safety hazards when you have live power running through your work area that must be taken into consideration. Always properly check all of your extension cords before using them.

Cordless and Electric power tools are great to have around but do have their limitations just like all tools have. It depends on the style of work that you do and where you do your work that you should consider before making your next power tool purchase. Either way that you decide to buy, you will always get a great power tool that will last you for years to come.

--

Written by Chris Nicholas- Owner and Webmaster of <a target="_new"href="http://www.HandyPowerTools.com">www.HandyPowerTools.com - Supplier of dependable, high quality <a target="_new"href="http://handypowertools.com/cordless_power_tools.html">Cordless Power Tools and <a target="_new"href="http://handypowertools.com/electric_power_tools.html">Electric Power Tools with 100% Satisfaction Guarantee!

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Stop straining yourself using those old tire irons to loosen lug nuts and buy yourself an impact wrench that will finish the job in half the time with half the effort. Imagine using a cordless impact wrench that could loosen and tighten all of your lug nuts in seconds with a push of a button and stores neatly anywhere. You’ll be back on the road with no time lost when using impact wrenches.

Have you ever got a flat tire on your way to work and the delay made you late? When you use impact wrenches and not tire irons you can, with practice, change a flat tire in as little as five minutes and be back on the road. Your boss will never even know you got a flat.

Flat tires are a common daily occurrence on the road and most of us have experienced what it is like to change a flat tire on the side of a road. It can be very dangerous and if the conditions are bad it could even be life threatening.

Everyone should be prepared for next time they get a flat. Hopefully it is not on your way to work or an important meeting but it will happen to you sooner or later so please be prepared.

A good idea to prepare yourself for your next flat tire is to carry some important supplies in every vehicle that you drive. I would recommend carrying the basics like safety markers, spare tire, car jack, gloves, fix-a-flat for those small holes, tow rope, etc. because you never know what will happen on the open road.

Most importantly I would recommend carrying either a Cordless Impact Wrench or a 12 Volt Impact Wrench that you can plug into your cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle. Carrying either one of these will enable you to loosen and tighten all of your lug nuts in seconds so you spend less time on the side of the road changing a flat tire and less time in the danger zone.

Everyone that owns their own vehicle knows what it is like to change a flat tire. Some of us have done it in the middle of a snow storm and know how dangerous the side of the road can be. Using the mechanical advantages of impact wrenches will help you finish the job in half the time with half the effort to help get you back on the road as quickly and safely as possible.

--
Written by Chris Nicholas- Owner and Webmaster of Handy Power Tools.com - Supplier of dependable, high quality <a target="_new"href="http://handypowertools.com/impact_wrenches.html">Impact Wrenches from <a target="_new"href="http://handypowertools.com/pro941334.html">Cordless Impact Wrenches to <a target="_new"href="http://handypowertools.com/pro941338.html">Electric Impact Wrenches with 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed!

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

There is a lot to benefit from when using air tools that will save you a lot of time and money. Air tools are very powerful tools that are full of torque that will make any job easier. They have more power than most electric power tools and they are far more durable due to their rugged design. Very cost efficient and long lasting makes it the tool to buy.

Air tools, also known as pneumatic tools, are great for working on cars or in the shop. They are very quick and very powerful tools that will finish jobs much quicker and easier compared to using hand tools.

Air tools come in a variety of styles from air drills to air sanders to air polishers and much more. Just plug them into an air hose and your ready to go. With very little maintenance they will last for a life time.

You just can’t beat the durability of air tools.
Do you ever feel like you’re tied to the power outlet when using electric (corded) power tools? Does it always seem as if you could only have 2 more inches of power cord for that last spot but you just can’t reach? Well then unplug that electric power tool and quit dragging around that tangled mess of extension cords. Buy yourself a variety of Cordless Power Tools and feel the freedom to go anywhere and work anywhere you want to. Long lasting batteries and high torque motors with a lightweight design make them perfect for every household and jobsite.

Cordless power tools are a great, all around tool for using on the job or around your house. Cordless power tools are small and compact but pack a lot of power and with today’s battery technologies, they can run longer than they ever have. Some cordless tools come with 1 hour battery charger so Buy yourself 2 batteries and run all day, one in the power tool and the other on the charger. Buy yourself a selection of cordless power tools like cordless drills, cordless circular saws, cordless sanders, cordless sawzalls, cordless hammer drills, and much more. The possibilities are endless and no job is too big to handle.

When ever I have any work to do on the roof of a house, I always prefer using cordless power tools because I hate having to drag around extension cords that are always in a tangled mess. Extension cords are always falling off the roof and snagging on everything they touch. So when I work on the roof I try using cordless drills, cordless saws, cordless nail guns, and everything else that is cordless because it just makes it so much easier to work and I can get more done without having to stop to pull on an extension cord.

Extension cords are very dangerous in the worksite because of high voltage current passing through them with very thin insulation to protect you. This could cause electrical shock if working around water or metal. Extension cords are always getting in the way and may cause a person to trip over them which could cause injury or could be fatal if working in high places so please be careful.

Cordless power tools are taking over the tool industry with their long lasting batteries and high torque motors. Most cordless power tools come with a convenient carry case for storage and protection which easily stores anywhere in your house or in your work truck. You can use them to build a house or just use them around your house. Try buying cordless power tool kits and get all of the tools in one package to get started right away.

--
Written by Chris Nicholas, Webmaster of www.HandyPowerTools.com - Supplier of a wide variety of Cordless Drills, Cordless Saws, and Cordless Tool Kits.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Power Tools vs. Hand Tools

Stop wasting your time with using hand tools when you could be using power tools that are faster and more efficient. Hand tools have been around for centuries and are simple but slow. Today we still have hand tools but they are old technology and out dated. Hand tools were all that we had until power tools were introduced to the public. Power tools are what built the United States and all of the cities in it were all constructed with the help of some kind power tool.

Power tools revolutionized how we did our everyday tasks. Power tools enabled us to get more work done with less user fatigue than compared to using hand tools. Power Tools allowed a person to get the job done 2 to 3 times faster than compared to using hand tools which allows more time to do what you want and not chores or work. Why pound nails with a hammer when you can use a nail gun. Why turn wrenches and ratchets when you can use air tools and finish in half the time and half the effort. I even know people that only take their cars to mechanics that use power tools because power tools will get the job done in half the time saving you money.

Then Power Tools went to the next level by going cordless. Cordless power tools allowed a person to go anywhere and everywhere with no cords attached. No more dragging around extension cords or being limited to working next to an outlet. Today’s technologies have made power tool batteries with 2 times more capacity and only 1 hour charge times. With 2 batteries and a charger, a person could work all day without running out of battery power. Cordless power tools work great for working on roofs because extension cords tend to want to slide off the roof or they are not long enough and won’t reach your work area. Little things like this take up a lot of time and will slow your productivity down.

So when are you going to put down the screw driver and pick a power drill. If you’re looking to use power tools on the job I recommend Name Brands such as DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee, or Skil. If you want a power tool to use around the house I recommend Non-Name Brands because their a third of the price of name brands and still are just as good. Our whole community depends on power tools anywhere from cordless drills to impact wrenches we all depend on them and most of us use them everyday.

--
Written by Chris Nicholas, Webmaster of Handy Power Tools.com - Supplier of a wide variety of Name Brand Power Tools and Non-Name Brand Power Tools.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Why does name brand power tools, such as DeWALT or Makita, cost so much more than the non-name brand power tools from foreign countries? What are you really paying all the extra money for when buying name brands? Whether you buy name brand or not, both power tools can do the same job but which one will work best for you? It is you who needs to decide what fits your lifestyle and your budget. Are Name Brand Power Tools Worth the Extra Money?

If you are looking for a power tool to use on the job site then name brand and only name brand is what you should buy. In this case, that power tool is helping you make an income. When it fails your production stops along with your income. That is why it is a good idea to buy name brands because they are less likely to fail. Name brand power tools are better built with higher quality materials. They can take more abuse in harder working conditions than non-name brands. Name Brand cordless power tools have batteries with a longer life span and more capacity. Their batteries can run longer with fewer charges. Name brand power tools also have better ergonomics which increases user productivity and decreases user fatigue. On top of that name brand power tools come with awesome warranties that are good sometimes for years. Non name brand warranties expire the day you use them.

On the other hand if you are looking for a power tool to use every once in a while then non-name brand power tools would be best for you. Non-name brand power tools are usually imported from foreign countries such as China or Japan. Their not as high quality as name brands but they are a third of the price. Non-name brands are great for home owners who only need a power tool for “around the house” projects where they are only used 20 or 30 times a year. If they are accidentally dropped or lost then it isn’t that big of a deal because they are so cheap you can just buy a new one and finish the task later. A home owner could buy three non-name brand power tools for the price of one name brand power tool. Foreign power tools still get the job done and if taken care of they will last for years.

Name Brand power tools are worth the extra money if you are using them to make some money but if you’re just looking build a bird house then non-name brand would be best. Personally I choose non-name brands because I only use them once in a while around the house and since they are so cheap I can buy more of a variety of power tools to make my garage that much more versatile. Whether you decide to buy name brand or non-name brand, in the end you always get what you pay for and it is you who determines whether it is worth the extra money.

--
Written by Chris Nicholas-- Owner and Webmaster of
<ahref=http://www.HandyPowerTools.com>Handy Power Tools --Supplier of a wide variety of Name Brand and Non-Name Brand Power Tools.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

An electricity arc of an arc welder is so hot that it melts metal into a liquid form instantly. Harnessing the power of electricity is what made America what it is today.

The basic operation of an arc welding unit, also known as a stick welder, involves electricity directed through a steel rod, known as an electrode, through the material that is being welded. To ensure a clean weld the electrode is coated in a material called flux which keeps contaminates from penetrating the electricity arc or the metal. Contaminates come from working with wet, dirty, or rusted metal or even the atmosphere contaminates such as oxygen or carbon dioxide. The only expenses on an arc welder is the electricity and the desired electrodes depending on the task at hand.

Depending on the unit’s size an arc welder can cost anywhere from two hundred to five hundred dollars per unit. Arc welders are known for being able to weld very thick metals. To get a mig welder that welds the same thickness of metal as an arc welder a person would have to buy one of the more expensive higher class mig welders ranging all the way up to two thousand dollars. This cost seems high but is reasonable because then a person would have the same penetration of an arc welder but with a much cleaner weld than an arc welder.

Arc welding is great for welding in the outdoors or on dirty and rusted metal. Although to ensure a good weld one must clean and dry metal to be worked on and have a proper welding environment to work in for best results.

Understanding how an arc welder works is only a small portion to welding. It is the person who understands how to harness the power of electricity who will get great returns on what they create.

--

Written by Chris Nicholas- Owner and Webmaster of <ahref=http://handypowertools.com>HandyPowerTools
Supplier of a wide range of name brand & non-name brand power tools ranging from metal and wood fabrication power tools to automotive maintenance and repair power tools.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com
