A player is like an addict when on tilt because you never want to admit it and continue to play until you lose your entire stack. Everyone thinks they must optimize their sites for the most searched for words. This is so untrue and has resulted in many disappointed entrepreneurs. The key to making money from your websites whether it be via PPC or SEO is in choosing keywords that are not in high competition but yet still attract a fair number of searches. Forget the one word and two word keywords. You may still be lucky to find some three word gems but the real action is to be found in keywords of 4 or more words.

If you are doing PPC then the one and two word phrases will be too expensive to compete on if your budget is small. And let's face it 95% of the persons trying make a living online are living on very tight budgets. If you are doing search engine optimization then you must optimize for the longer phrases. If you try for the very competitive ones first it may take you months, even years to get high rankings at all.

High rankings on Google require a tremendous amount of backlinks for the highly competitive terms and on a small budget this takes a long time. The smart thing to do is optimize for the 3 words and longer phrases and be sure to use these phrases in your title tags. Some people argue that Google is not the only search engine and so backlinks should not be that important but with 70% of the search market I would say Google comes pretty close to being the only search engine.

Furthermore, studies have shown that the #1 ranking gets 70% of the clicks, the #2 ranking gets 20% and the #3 gets 10% with the next 7 positions in to the top 10 sharing the balance. So where do you want to be? #1 of course. But to achieve this for a highly competitive keyword involves a tremendous amount of link building and money. However it is not very difficult to get top 10 positions on Google when you optimize for 4, 5 and 6 word phrases.

Where do you find these words? The most popular and respected tool is wordtracker which is a paid service. There are some free keyword research tools available with which you can start with but eventually if you are serious about making money online you will need to make use of wordtracker. Another commonly asked question is what is considered a "reasonable number of searches". Well one rule of thumb I use and which has worked pretty well over the years is the 30 or more per day phrase. If you find 100 such phrases this will give you 3000 unique searches per day. If you have a #1 ranking on Google you get 70% of the clicks, that’s 2100. If 10% click on your product or adsense ads that represents 210 clicks per day that can bring you money. That is not something to balk at.

Bottom line is if you want traffic to your website via the two major methods, PPC and SEO, then you need to mine for 3 and longer word keywords. Eventually as you get ranked for these secondary phrases and as you build page rank and trust rank with Google you will find Google will release some love your way with respect to the primary keywords. The options available to these players are if they should call a bet there is no chance that someone will raise them. The players in late position can play a larger range of starting hands knowing how many players they will be contending with. They can bluff by driving a big bet and running the entire table or they can play possum and just call whilst sitting on a "big kahuna".

So in the final analysis, you must play tightly when you are in an early position, staying with only the best starting hand. Middle position players should stick to good starting hands. The late position players can play much more loosely. As your playing improves you can try different poker strategies in early position, one of which is to be very aggressive early in a game in order to build a table reputation in preparation for later betting. Poker after all is a game of the mind, its psychological warfare at its best.

One last word, you can improve your game no matter where you sit, as long you as you pay careful attention to the game and having some good strategies is not a bad idea either. Online craps is the one of the few online casino games where if you bet precisely and accurately you can even the odds between player and casino and thus be able to win.

Ok, so how does one reduce the odds to even? It involves the passline bet of course because this is the bet with the best odds in online craps. Never forget that each throw of the dice is unique and the outcome has no bearing on the previous throw, hence to reduce the odds in our favor we must start with the bet giving the best odds.

The passline bet is placed or can be placed before the dice is rolled. Then we place what is called an "odds" bet. You will not find this bet written or explained on the table, it's generally regarded as a secret bet in craps jargon. This bet is placed immediately behind the passline bet. If the casino makes its point when the dice is rolled we get paid even odds on the passline bet but we get odds payment on the odds bet.

Depending on what point the casino makes the payment varies from 2:1 for a four and 10 point to 6:5 when a six or eight is rolled. Always check the rules of the online craps game at every new online casino you play at as some of them allow you to double your odds bet after the passline bet. Those of you who are into numbers will appreciate that the passline bet favors the casino by 1.41%, but by placing an odds bet you are able to lower these odds to 0.85%. However if you are allowed to place double odds it comes down even further to 0.61% which is like even odds.

Bottom line is whenever you are playing online craps, read the rules first and once you are allowed to double your odds bet or play multiples in your odds bet, do it! This always reduces the house odds thus increasing your chances of winning and remember to play accurately at all times. Online craps has over 42 different bets that can be placed but if I were you I would ignore over 95% of them as they are all heavily in favor of the house.
