If you are a little confused about what a third party Logistics company is then listen closely as I elucidate it simply. A third party logistics company or 3pl as they are referred to is a organization that acts as a negotiator between a manufacturer that does a lot of LTL with the trucking carriers. Why would you entertain talking to them? It is as uncomplicated as this, experience, better pricing and service. A 3pl gives the opportunity to the little guy that ordinarily would not get very good shipping discounts from the LTL shippers to now be able to go up against with some of its bigger competitors. Here’s a simple analogy, think of it as "Sams Club" pricing for shipping and transportation costs.

Now that we comprehend what a 3PL is... should your business partner with an asset based or a non asset based 3pl? Let's talk about these one at a time so that you feel comfortable moving forward.

Asset Based 3PL

An asset based service owns many transportation management “assets”. Its assets may include anything that is pertaining with supply chain management, including technology systems, fleets of trucks, vehicles, aircraft, warehouses, warehousing equipment, forklifts etc. As you can see a client would be limited to using the assets that this third party logistics company suggests. True their suggestions will save you money, but here is ultimate question to meditate on: How will I really know I am getting the best value available out there?

This conflict of interests raises another issue when it comes to handling claims resolution if they are using their own trucks and equipment. Can you imagine if you had a claim on damaged freight, would you feel all comfy knowing that your claim would be fixed in the shortest time and reimbursed for the highest value possible?

Non Asset Based 3PL

This 3PL handles all of the services of a third party logistics team such as quoting freight, scheduling pickups and deliveries, routing, and auditing, but doesn't tie up all of its cash all of the transportation assets that an asset based 3PL would own. Instead, this type of 3PL usually possesses only desks, computers, and freight industry expertise. Now you can see why they are referred to as “transportation consultants”.

I want you think about this for a moment, since a non asset based 3pl is not limited to using any particular warehouse or carrier and usually have no ties to carriers, they are now in the best position to use their experience to negotiate the best deal for their clients. Negotiations will be done with the best value oriented carriers that meet your expectations and then you get to choose which carriers to partner with.

Since there is no conflict of interests here, there is also no concern about handling any claims that you might have either. Now you can see why many companies resolve to team up with a non-asset based 3pl. They value that they now have the unlimited freedom to partner with the service providers that best meet their needs.

--

Learn how a freight logistics company can help your business compete against the competition.
FREE report on how to choose a logistics company:

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

So you are thinking about getting a large screen TV to install in your great room. It can get pretty confusing with all of the TV manufacturers, model numbers, features and kinds to pick from. As we consider at this together you will notice that there is no such thing as the perfect TV here, as you will find that it depends on each individuals specific situation. In this article we will discuss the most commonly asked question.

So Should I Get An Plasma or LCD TV?

1) What size of a screen will you be selecting?
Believe it or not both the LCD and plasma TV's are available in up to 65” now. Are you thinking about a TV larger than 50"? If price matters most to you...then you will find the plamsa are less expensive than the 50"+ LCD. But don't give up yet…LCD’s are becoming less expensive every day.

2) Lets now discuss the rooms lighting.
The reason I mention this to you is that the amount of direct sun light will play a role when selecting your flat panelwall mount TV set. The reason I bring this up is that the plasma’s glass screen can reflect plenty of natural. If you have a room filled with natural sunlight, can you see how this might effect your being able to watch TV comfortably? Did you know-- direct sunlight can also contribute to a washout of color. Even indirect or ambient lighting can cause a contrast ratio reduction, especially in black colors produced on the screen.

Now we'll talk about the benefits of the LCD, because the LCD is equipped with a plastic matte screen that reflects less light. So if you have a very bright room-- the LCD is probably your best choice. So score a point for the LCD here.

3) Lets talk about your furniture layout.
The reason I ask is that unfortunately, when you sit at a funny angle from the screen you will get a faded LCD picture. So this may be an important thing to consider when arranging your furniture in your TV room. Sometimes based on the rooms design…You really don’t have much of an option. So think carefully about the trade off here. You tend to see some brightness and color shift when you're on too much of an angle with LCD’s. (The good news is that LCD companies are working day and night experimenting with solutions to this problem. On the other hand, a plasma can be viewed with a fairly solid picture from almost an angle. So score a point for plasma's here. Since technology is changing almost overnight and quality varies from manufacturer to manufacturer (and model to model) I would suggest a side-by-side comparison with several flat screens you are toying with. Try to make believe where your favorite comfy chair would be so you can watch it from the estimate angle you will be using at home--and simply see for yourself.

These are just a few concerns to think about when choosing a flat screen for your media room.

Would you like to learn more about the differences between a plasma and LCD?

--
Learn more about LCD TV Atlanta

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

So you have a conventional type of business Maybe it is a brick and mortar business like a showroom. On the other hand maybe you have a professional service that you offer to local home owners. You’ve succeeded so far without the aid of Internet marketing strategies and promotions.

So why now should you look into looking for a local Internet marketing Organization?

I’ll give you 3 good reasons why you should consider adding online marketing to your arsenalof marketing strategies.

1) Finding an Internet marketing service to work with means to fix a marketing promotion that is not working-- immediately. Up until now you may have invested in offlineadvertising such as yellow page, flyers, magazines, newspapers, radio or val-pak. And you may or may not be satisfied with the results. This type of advertising is a one shot deal. In other words…you went ahead and spent the money and didn’t know if it was a success or not until it was too late.Think about that for a second. You invest $1,500 a month for a yellow pages ad—not knowing if this ad will even work Once the ad is placed, you have to wait 365 days & $18,000.00 later to redesign your marketing message.

What if you had a internet marketing service that could show you how to change your online marketing message at a moments notice? That’s right, if it doesn’t seem to generate inquiries you can change your website design or website promotion or sales letter just like that. In other words you do not have to wait a year to see a change in your results. That leads us into the next point.

2) Finding a local internet marketing firm means being able to test and quantify your marketing message immediately and then being able to adjust your message for maximum results. Can you imagine trying a internet marketing promotion sales letter, sales price or new service on line and know within an hour or two if it is worth rolling out a new marketing promotion or advertising campaign? Think of your last ad that bombed. How much would this have saved you? All of this can be accomplished with online marketing tools like Google Adwords Even better then that such online marketing tools allow you to tweak and refine your marketing message to improve your conversions. Who would ever think that by changing just a few keywords you could skyrocket your results up to 1700%? Can you see how this could make a huge difference in your bottom line?

3) Finding the right Internet marketing SEO firm means knowing exactly what the specific keywordsyour potential clients are searching for on the internet. Many times these keywords are not the ones you would have chosen. What if you designed your website around all of the wrong keyword phrases? Sad to say we see this all the time when websites talk over our head using industry phrases that we have never heard of before. Can you see how optimizing your internet marketing message using the most popular keywords that are researched in your industry could make a difference?

--
Learn about more benefits to working with a atlanta internet marketing service

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

While everyone has heard of a massage before...Neuromuscular massage or NMT is another specialized form of massage techniques available to you that addresses pain.

You must remember that your nervous system controls everything in your body, including muscle tension and as well as the amount of pain you can bear.

Whereas a standard "relaxation" massage will work on the general areas of your back...NMT is a deep tissue massage that is applied directly to individual specific muscles, ligaments, connective tissue & tendons that are often in a standard relaxation type of massage.

The patient will sit in a specialized massage chair. The therapist will be using their thumbs, finger tips and even the elbows to explore every fiber tissue looking for bands of muscle fibers that are tighter than the rest of them. Such excess tension in your body's muscles can result in restriction of your bodies blood flow in that area.

These areas will be treated until they "release". NMT will improve blood flow, reduce their pain and truly release pressure on nerves caused by prior soft tissue and muscle injuries.

People often wonder why a neuromuscular massage therapist will be working on one area when it hurts them somewhere else. The reason is Neuromuscular massage assists to release trigger points and intense knots of tense muscle that release pain in other areas of the body that are linked by the same muscle. This is known as "Referred Pain". For example: Relieving a tense trigger point in your back...could help ease pain in your shoulder or even reduce headaches.

What Does This Have To Say About Your Massage Therapist?

This means that your NMT therapist is educated in:

a) The physiology of your nervous system

b) Its effect on the muscular and skeletal systems.

c) Is educated in kinesiology

d) Is Educated in biomechanics of the body

e) Is educated in how to work in a clinical or medical environment

What Are The Benefits Of Neuromuscular Massage?
Neuromuscular Therapy will be used to address each of the five elements that cause pain in every one of us:

The lack of blood supply to soft tissue: This results in extra hypersensitivity when touched.

Trigger Points: These highly irritated points in muscles, which refer pain to other parts of the body. Do you remember we spoke about how releasing a trigger point in your left shoulder could release or stop those terrible headaches? That's right, two areas that do not seem to have anything to do with each other...are actually connected by muscle.

Nerve Compression: This is simply pressure on a nerve caused by any of the following:

1) Bone

2) Soft tissue

3) Cartilage

Postural Distortion: This is a fancy way of saying your body needs a muscle alignment every now and then just like your car needs realignment after hitting too many potholes!

Biomechanical Dysfunction: This refers to the imbalance of the muscular skeletal system resulting in faulty movement patterns such as:

1) Poor lifting habits

2) Terrible golf swing

3) Lousy tennis stroke

4) Incorrect typing posture

If you are living with constant pain and think that you may benefit from neuromuscular massage therapy, give your local therapist a call and ask if they specialize in this form of massage therapy.
It is a sad but true realization that in today’s world that we live in…it takes both parents working to provide an income to support the family.

Where does that leave our children?
Unfortunately—just like the movie says… “Home Alone”.

Only 25 years ago, it was the norm for a family could live on a single income.

But what about today’s world?

Between the rise of inflation, the cost of housing and Americas desperate attempt to live above and beyond its means to “keep up with the Jones”, its no wonder that the number of latch key children is growing. Then add the ever-growing number of broken families and single parent families into the mix and its no wonder that many of our youngsters are at home by themselves between the hours of 3PM until Mom or Dad gets home.

In the past concerned parents would call their children at home to see where they were and what they were doing. Today, parents use modern technology like affordable cell phones and pagers to track their kids. Unfortunately though, a cell phone, while it will allow you to stay in contact with your children…doesn’t necessarily tell you WHERE the kids are. This often leads youngsters into trouble knowing they can always talk to Mom & “fib” about there whereabouts.

What if there was a way to tell when the kids got home from school…and when they decided to leave the house without your permission.

Today’s home automation technology allows you to keep an eye on the kids while you are still at the office.

Imagine receiving an email alert when your children get home via your home automation system. Then lets go one step further… imagine being able to monitor your children when ever an unauthorized door or window opens in the home.

Lets take an example. Young Johnny gets home a t 3:15 every day. But today he gets home at 4 PM because of staying late with the wrong crowd at school. Mom knows the minute he gets home via an Internet email. In the past The young man could have lied to his folks…after all, how would they ever know what time he got home. But no longer is that an option with a home automation system that is tied into your security system. Mom can now ask with confidence, “Where have you been & why are you 45 minutes late!”

The same goes for punished children who are on restrictions that are not allowed to go outside to play after school. An Internet email will notify the dad the moment a door or window is opened with a youngster trying to sneak out.

Why not learn more about home automation and how it can help you with your latchkey children?

--
Learn more about Home Automation Atlanta

Looking for a Atlanta Home Automation Company?

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

This will get you penalized by the search engine)

b) Invisible Text: (This technique tries to cheat the system by putting lists of keywords in white text on a white This is a definite no-no!)

c) Doorway Pages: (Imagine having an invisible web page that only an Internet spyder can see. This page has all of your keywords on it and is designed to trick the spyders into considering your website as important)

d) Any other technique that is designed to "trick" the search engines:
(Heres a tip...If they talk about tricking or fooling the search engines then run for the hills.)

2) How long will it take to see results?

· Run and hide from any SEO company that promises results in 24-72 hours. Remember black hat techniques may work temporarily...but you will eventually pay the real price when Google bans you.

· Expect results to begin to organically occur anywhere between 60-90 days of continuous honest SEO activity.

3) Do they promise to blast your website out to thousands of directories overnight?

· This is a signal to keep on looking for another SEO organization. Such directory submission services that offer immediate gratification may get you short-term results...but will definitely register a warning signal with Google.

· Directory submission is one way to get your website indexed...however it needs to be submitted by hand (not by automatic software) and it needs to be done slowly and steadily over several weeks and months to be effective.

4) Do they have a website of their own?

· You would be surprised how many so-called SEO experts do not even have a website of their own.

· Make sure they have a real website, with real references & with a real phone number so you can check them out!

5) Do They Guarantee Your Site Ranking # 1 on Google?

· No one can guarantee the #1 spot on Google. Go to GOOGLE and type in your city and your businesses service. How many pages do you have to scroll through to find your website?

Here's the important question then. If you can't find it…how can you expect a potential customer to find it?

Most people when searching never go past page 2 or 3.

Now wouldn't it be nice to be found easily on page # 1 of Google, Yahoo and MSN?

Contact a local SEO company.
HD, HDTV and High Def, what do these terms mean when I am looking to buy a TV?

Unfortunately asking for help at Best Buys or Circuit City only confuses the issue as they explain things in technical jargon that is not easily understood.

So lets try to explain things in a simple manner so that anyone can understand it. This way you won't unnecessarily spend more than you need to on your next TV.

So Then What Exactly Is HDTV?

Simply put, HD stands for High Definition. It describes the quality of the broadcast signal as well as the quality of the picture on your plasma or LCD TV.

Next, Did You Know That There Are Different Levels Of HD Quality?

As of right now the 3 levels of HD available are.

A) 720p

B) 1080i

c) 1080p

So What Do These Numbers Mean?

The numbers correspond to the lines of resolution on your TV screen.

First lets discuss a standard TV, which only shows a 480i picture. This means there are 640 vertical pixels x 480 horizontal pixels that make up your Televisions picture.

It only makes sense then that the more pixels or lines of resolution you have…the better your picture quality is going to be.

Are you following me so far?

So Then How Many Pixels Does An HD Plasma or LCD Have?

As discussed befor, there are different grades of HDTV broadcasting available.

A) 720 p has 720 vertical pixels and 1,280 horizontal pixels

B) Both 1080i and 1080p have a resolution of 1,920 vertical pixels x 1,080 horizontal pixels

It only makes sense then that a 720p has a better picture than a typical 480 TV, and a 1080i TV or 1080p TV has a clearer picture than a 720p plasma tv.

Does that make sense?

So What Does The "p" And The "i" Represent?

The "p" or the "i" refers to how the picture is refreshed on your tv screen.
The "p" stands for "progressive", while the "i" stands for "interlaced".

Now what does this mean?

Imagine taking a paintbrush covering your entire TV screen with one stroke. That's what happens with a "Progressive" broadcast signal. When you have a 720p or 1080p television all 720 or 1080 lines of resolution are refreshed on your TV at the same time.

On the other hand when it comes to a 1080i or "interlaced" TV, you would take that same paintbrush and just pain in every other line. First all of the even lines of resolution are pained in. Then 1/30 of a second later all of the odd lines are painted in, etc, etc.

Can you see how a 1080p picture would provide a crisper picture then a 1080i?

But there is something you need to know before spending the extra money on a 1080p… All cable and satellite channels are currently broadcasted in 1080i picture. That's right…even if you had a 1080p TV-It would offer no better picture then a 1080i.

When Might You Consider Buying A 1080P:

A) You are the type that MUST HAVE the latest and greatest technology

B) You are willing to wait for the cable companies to start broadcasting in a 1080p signal

C) You are setting up a home theater room and either own or are planning to buy a Blueray or HD DVD player since they are the only equipment that can produce a 1080p signal that you can see on a 1080p TV.

--
F.Cheshire is an Atlanta Home Theater
Automation Consultant

Visit his Home Theater Blog for helpful tips in easy to understand english.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

You are buying a resale home. It has a new coat of paint on it & so it looks OK to you -- so why bother with a home inspection?

A Home Inspection Is Cheap Insurance?

Where else can you get the value from a $300 -$400 home inspection?

Think about all of the hidden things that an untrained eye can miss?

You would be surprised how many times a few hundred dollar investment has saved a potential buyer from getting stuck with a lemon of a house with major structural problems. If they had bought the place they would be stuck with a home that couldn't be sold.

Fore example, a few years ago my son bought his first home. It was a nice little foreclosure...a handyman special. Best of all the price was just right.

In fact...the price was a little too good if you know what I mean.

Wanting to do everything on his own...he made a common mistake that many first homebuyers make. He bought it without having it inspected.

First he noticed little things like how the doors and windows didn't close properly.

Then there were the drafts that could not be sealed.

Finally there was the old marble on the counter top test. You would not believe how fast it rolled down to the other end.

It turns out that the builder was not such a nice fellow. Instead of dumping all of the construction debris...he merely buried it under the front corner of the house.
After a few years the garbage began to decompose & the house began to settle.

Upon closer examination I found that I could stick my entire head under the foundation at one place.

Unfortunately for him it was a very expensive lesson. A lesson that cost him over $30,000 of lost equity when it came time to sell. For you see, the home had major structural problems. Problems...that could only be fixed by driving (4) posts into the ground 80 feet deep and jacking up the entire house.

The estimates came in at about $10,000--
Not including all of the repairs that would be needed to the drywall & hardwood floors when the house was leveled.

Worse of all, the law now states that you would have to disclose such information to any new home buyers. Now think about it...even after the problem was fixed-- would you buy this house?

My son decided to not repair it & had to sell the house for the same price he paid for it 7 years earlier.
It cost him $30,000 or more in equity that it had appreciated over the years.

If he only would have asked for a little help. An Atlanta Home Inspection would have turned up all of these concerns BEFORE he signed on the dotted line.
How many of you would have invested $350 to avoid losing $30,000 or more?

I can assure you he will never make that mistake again.

The question is...will you?

--

F.Cheshire is an <A HREF="http://www.

homeinspectionatlanta.frank-marketing.com">

Atlanta Home Inspector

Did you know that by adding a little curb appeal

with an <A HREF="http://www.homeinspectionatlanta.

frank-marketing.com">Atlanta Handyman Service

you can sell your home quicker and for more

money?

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

So your thinking about investing in home automation for your new home or remodel. Here are a few interesting things that you may not know about Control4 Atlanta Home automation equipment.

1) Control4 allows you to start small. I don't know about you but just the idea of a $50,000 price tag for home technology can be overwhelming to many people. Now while it is very easy to spend that and more on a true home automation system... it is not necessary with the Control4 system. Many homeowners start off with using the control4 system as a smart remote control for their home theater system. They invest in a Home theater controller and then they add on additional home automation modules as they see fit and can afford to. Down the road a few light switches can be added in to the system. Even further down the road you can tie in your security system & thermostats. Some people even add music throughout their home with this system. Just remember that you can start off your home automation with one project at a time-- yet still have a system that integrates everything seamlessly.

2) The Control4 system allows you to turn on your television and see a copy of every DVD movie that you own. When you combine the Control4 system with the Sony 400 disc DVD player, the system accesses the Internet and automatically searches for the DVD jackets cover art. Now you no longer have to look for your movies or worry about them getting scratched by the kids. The Movies stay in the DVD player all of the time. All you have to do is turn on the TV and with your Control4 Atlanta Home Theater Controller-- simply click on the "video" button. Instantly you will see a picture of every DVD movie you own. Choose a movie by clicking on it & the system does everything else. No more wrestling with 6 remote controls.

3) Control 4 uses Wi-fi, Ethernet and a relatively unheard of technology called...Zigbee 802.15.4 mesh networking standard. Believe it or not the name "ZigBee" is comes from zig- zag patterns made by bees when they go flower to flower to collect pollen. This is similar to the invisible webs of connections existing in a fully wireless Zigbee system. So what that means in simple English is that the more Zigbee devices you add to the system...the stronger the connection will be since each device will feed off of the next. All of the Control4 lighting dimmers are Zigbee based. The LCD keypads may be Zigbee based or hard wired via Ethernet.

4) What does this mean for you? Zigbee technology means that if you live in an existing home that does not give you access to run wires for home automation technology...you still can use Control4. By taking advantage of the Zigbee protocol and Wi-fi, you can add complete home automation to your house including your lighting, thermostats, security and movies. In fact, if you want to add zones of distributed audio (music in other rooms) there is even something called the Control4 Speaker Point. This allows you to deliver remote audio throughout the home without running any wires back to your audio source.

5) The Control4 system is very user friendly. You do not have to have an engineering degree to use it. In fact... I have had clients choose it instead of some of the more expensive systems just for its simplicity and ease of use.

Home automation and smart home technology are here to stay. Why not look for an affordable home automation system that can grow with you, add value to your home and give you pleasure at the same time.

--

F.Cheshire is an Atlanta Home Automation Consultant In GA.

Learn more about <A HREF="http://www.

affordablehometheater.frank-marketing.com/Atlanta-

Control4-Home-Automation.html"> Control4 Atlanta</

a> at his website.

FREE Report: Avoid the <A HREF="http://www.

affordablehometheater.frank-marketing.com/Home-

Theatre-Mistakes.html">Top 10 Home Automation

Design Mistakes

Source: http://www.articletrader.com
