There are a variety of different foot problems that are very common in people today, and often they can make wearing shoes both painful and difficult. If you are having pain in your feet when you are wearing shoes, you could have a type of foot problem that is causing that pain. Some of the most common foot problems that people have include bunions, hammertoes, corns, and plantar warts. It is important to understand these various foot conditions so you can seek medical attention for your feet if you are showing symptoms.

Bunions
Bunions are one of the most common foot problems that people suffer from today, and they can be very painful. When the bone of the big toe moves and gets out of place, often the joint that connects the big toe to the foot will become enlarged and can cause the big toe bone to turn towards the other toes. This causes a large, painful lump on the side of the foot. This can make it extremely difficult to walk and to wear shoes, as well. Some of the symptoms of a bunion can include: bump at the base of your big toe on the outside of your foot, swelling and pain of the joint, overlap of big toe and your second toe, corns at the area of overlap, and pain when moving the big toe. There are various things that can cause bunions, such as the type of your foot, the way you walk, or even the shoes that you wear.

Hammertoes
Hammertoes are another painful and common foot problem that many have to deal with. Hammertoes occur when a toe becomes contracted at one of the joints in the toe. The rest of the toe ends up going down due to the ligaments and tendons that tighten up when this occurs. Any toe, except for the big toe, can be affected by a hammertoe. There are two different types of hammertoes that can occur. A flexible hammertoe can be moved manually without much pain. However, a rigid hammertoe cannot move and if it is forced to move it can be extremely painful. Hammertoes can make it very difficult to wear shoes comfortable and can also put a great deal of strain on other parts of your foot as well. If you suffer from a hammertoe, you can help it by purchasing shoes that offer adequate room or by purchasing special foot products to help cushion and protect your hammertoe.

Corns
Another very common foot problem today that can be quite painful is corns. Corns are somewhat like calluses that can occur on the feet, but they have essential differences as well. Corns develop from dead skin that develop into thick hard areas of skin, but unlike calluses, corns have a core that is shaped like a cone and can actually press down on a nerve in your foot causing pain. As a general rule, corns occur on the sides, the tips, and the tops of the toes, but in some cases, they can occur in between the toes as well. At times, corns can even become inflamed, which makes them even more painful. Usually, corns actually develop as a result of the shoes a person is wearing. Shoes that are too tight, high heeled shoes, and even shoes that are too loose can cause corns to develop. Choosing footwear that fits your foot properly and that has plenty of room for the toes can help you prevent corns from developing on your feet.

Plantar Warts
Plantar warts, another common foot problem, are a type of wart that occurs on the very bottom of the feet. Plantar warts are actually caused by a virus that can get into your body through the skin, and this type of a virus will grow in an environment that is moist and warm, such as your shoes or a locker room. It can be difficult to tell if you have plantar warts because they look very much like a callus. However, a plantar wart will usually have black dots that you can see, which are actually blood vessels. Usually, plantar warts can become quite tender and may make walking painful as the foot presses down on the wart. Usually, plantar warts will disappear on their own, but if you have them for a prolonged period of time or it is very painful to walk, you may want to consult your physician.

Disclaimer:
It is important to realize that this article should never be used to diagnose foot problems, but is only a collection of experience that comes from being in the retail shoe business for many years.
Both men and women need more than one pair of shoes that works for everything. Ladies and gentlemen need a variety of shoes that are appropriate for various occasions, including work, working out, evenings out, and for casual days. While men probably will not need quite as many shoes as women, both sexes need to be sure that they have the appropriate shoes for every occasion.

Working Out
Whether you enjoy working out on a regular basis, or you occasionally get out to get the metabolism pumping, every person, both men and women need to have the appropriate shoes for working out. Sneakers are great shoes for working out, no matter what activity you are involved in, and you should purchase sneakers that are made for the specific activity that you enjoy the most. If you play basketball most of the time, you may want to get a sneaker specifically designed for playing basketball, or running shoes if you frequently run. For those who make walking part of their daily workout routine, a great pair of walking sneakers can help you make sure that you are walking in both style and comfort.

Work Shoes
Work shoes that you choose will be highly dependent on what kind of job that you do. For men, many times, they work in highly physical jobs that may include heavy work and intense working conditions. For men that work in outdoor jobs like construction, or other jobs that include hard manual labor, you may want to consider purchasing sturdy work boots. If you are purchasing work boots, make sure that they will be comfortable on your feet since you have to wear them all day, and steel toes may be a great option if you are in danger of having something dropped on your feet.

For women, work shoes can be quite a bit different. Some women do work in places that require them to be on their feet a great deal, so, in this case, comfort may be the key. Finding low heeled shoes that look great, but that have great comfort as well is a great idea for women on their feet at work all day. Women that work in a businesslike atmosphere may want to invest in some moderate pumps that go with their business attire and are comfortable as well.

Going Casual
For casual days that do not involve work and have you spending time out as a family or doing some simple shopping, you may want to have a great pair of casual shoes on hand. For men, they can often choose shoes that look classy, or something that has a simple rugged appeal to go with casual clothing. Just make sure that you go for comfort because you may be doing quite a bit of walking in these shoes.

Women have a variety of choices in casual shoes. The most important part about casual shoes for women is that they are comfortable. You want to purchase casual shoes that let you shop until you drop in comfort. If it is warm, a comfortable sandal may be a great choice, and if it is colder, a great leather loafer style shoe may be what you want for those casual days out.

Getting Dressed Up
Both men and women need to have shoes for those occasions for getting all dressed up. Whether you are going to a funeral, a wedding, or just having a classy night out on the town, the right shoes are very important. Men can get away with having just one or two styles of dress shoes. Most men will want to have a pair of both brown and black dress shoes and you will want to choose the style that feels the best on your foot. Usually, dress shoes for men come in both slip-ons and lace ups, so choose the shoe that you are most comfortable with.

The shoes that women choose for dressy occasions can be a bit more difficult to choose. For dressy occasions that are low key, you might want to stick to a pair of pumps that look elegant and classy. If you need to look really dressy, it may be time to bring out high-heeled dress shoes, such as sling backs, or even high-heeled sandals. The type of dress shoe, of course, will depend on the occasion, the time of year, and the style and color of the clothing you are wearing. Usually, having dress shoes in white, navy, brown, and black are absolutely essential to a woman’s wardrobe

With Sincere Pleasure

Glenda

Subscribe to "Tips for the Perfect Shoe" a Newsletter Go Here: http://www.heavenlyshoes-bags.com

Shop For Shoes Here:
heavenlyshoeshopper.com
For opinions or suggestions Go Here:
glenda@heavenlyshoeshopper.com

--
I have been in the retail shoe business many years and now will try the net.
Tell Me How to Care for My Shoes!

Make your Shoes Look Great Every Day:

Everyone knows that special feeling of finding the perfect pair of shoes. When you spend so much time on your feet, both the comfort and the style comes into play when you are looking for the perfect pair of shoes. Once you find a great pair of shoes that look great and feel good on your feet, you will want to take measures to care for your shoes properly to ensure that they last as long as possible. Shoe care is important to the life of your shoe, so the following are tips for taking care of your shoes so you can enjoy that special pair a bit longer.

Leather Shoes
Shoes that are made of leather are going to take a special kind of care if you are going to keep them looking their best. When you are caring for your leather shoes, the first thing you want to do after wearing them is to clean them with a special leather cleaner to clean away the dust and grime that has accumulated. To keep the leather soft and supple, you should then apply a leather conditioner to the shoe as well. After conditioning, you can then go on to polish the shoe, preferably with a cream polish, since it usually lasts awhile and is easy to apply too. After you give them the final polish, you should apply a weatherproofing substance to help protect your shoes in any weather.

Nubuck and Suede Shoes
Suede and nubuck shoes look great, but it can be hard to keep them looking good because of the materials. If you want these shoes to stay looking as good as the day you bought them, you need to make sure you use a special stain and water repellent on your shoes that is made especially for these materials. This should help repel the water, but if you notice that the water is not running off or beading on the shoes, it is time to reapply. You should also carefully brush these materials to get rid of dirt and keep the material in good condition. After brushing, it is important to use a special conditioner to keep the materials soft and pliable.

Athletic Shoes
One of the most common problems with athletic shoes is that they begin to look dirty very quickly. You can keep these shoes looking new by using a special shoe shampoo to get rid of dirt and stains. Scuffs are another common problem with athletic shoes, but you can get rid of these scuffs by using scuff removers or special products designed to whiten your shoes. There is even a whitening spray dye that can be used to cover unsightly scuffs on your shoes. Many times, the laces on athletic shoes start looking very dirty and grungy but you can improve the entire look of your shoes by purchasing new shoe laces for the shoes.

Avoiding or Curing Odor in Shoes
Since, many times, you are wearing shoes for hours at a time, having smelly shoes is a common problem. One way you can avoid stinky shoes is by never wearing nylon socks with them. It is best to wear only cotton socks with your shoes if you want to avoid a nasty odor. You can also prevent odor in your shoes by alternating the shoes you wear. Never wear the same pair of shoes more than one or two days in a row so they have a chance to air out and dry out. If your shoes are already smelly, you may want to consider sprinkling some baking soda in your shoes and letting them sit overnight. The baking soda will absorb the moisture and help your shoes smell better. Sometimes it is the insoles of the shoes that are causing the shoes to smell. If this is the problem, you can purchase special insoles to go in your shoes that fight odor and keep your shoes smelling fresh.

Taking the proper measures to care for your shoes can keep them looking and smelling great. It may take you weeks to find the perfect pair of shoes, but taking a few short minutes to care for them from time to time can allow you to enjoy them for years to come.

With Sincere Pleasure
Glenda
Shop For Shoes Here: heavenlyshoeshopper.com

"Tips For the Perfect Shoe" Go Here:
http://www.heavenlyshoes-bags.com

--
Glenda has many years experience in the shoes business and recently sold her retail business.
Importance of Choosing the Correct Bridal Shoe

Wedding shoes are the second most important choice a bride will have to make for her attire, her gown being the first. It is important that her shoes compliment her gown and, like her dress, are perfect in every way. In order to choose the right bridal shoe for the wedding day, the modern bride has many things to consider.

Comfort Comes First
The most important thing that a bride must consider when choosing the right pair of shoes for her big day is comfort. The wedding is quite a long process that will require the bride to be on her feet and looking lively for the whole time. It is not a pretty sight to see a bride limping up the isle, wincing in pain on her big day. This will mean that a pair of comfortable shoes is a must. The bride should also make sure to break her shoes in a short while before the wedding to avoid any chance of discomfort.

Heel Types
All wedding shoes have heels, but the bride should pay special attention to the type of heel the shoes have that she is trying on. Ideally, slightly wider heels will provide more comfort and stability; stiletto type bridal shoes do look very elegant, but can be murder when walking in them all day, especially if the bride is not accustomed to wearing them.

About Materials
The material that the shoe is made from is also very important. It was once very popular to wear satin shoes. Not all brides like satin, especially if they are wearing a shorter type of dress. The bride will need to consider what she is wearing, as well as the type of material that she likes. Remember that the bride’s shoes are an accessory to the perfect outfit and should be chosen to match and compliment the entire ensemble.

What About Colors?
Another trend that is being seen more often with brides are dyed shoes. Many brides no longer want traditional white. Brides often choose their wedding shoes in their favorite colors or to the themed colors of the wedding party. If dyed shoes are a preference, the bride should make sure to have the shoes professionally dyed to avoid the risk of the shoes looking uneven or being ruined.

Shoes For The Groom
Weddings are becoming less traditional and more relaxed as time goes by. One thing that will never change is the color of the shoes worn by the groom and his groomsmen. The most common color and style preference for the men in the wedding party are black formal shoes. Different styles and materials can be chosen to suit the theme of the wedding, whether it is traditional or ultra modern. Soft leather will usually provide the most comfort and stylish looks.

The Bridal Party
The bride’s maids and matron of honor will usually have a style and color shoe to compliment the dresses that they are wearing. Often, the same color theme is used for everyone in the bridal party, as well as the same style. This can be a difficult task for the bride to find the same style and color shoe in different sizes. The bride must also consider the comfort of her bridal party. Beautiful shoes will compliment the outfits worn, but like the bride the bridesmaids and matron of honor will be on their feet for the whole day, so shoes that are as comfortable as possible must be considered.

The Mother Of The Bride
As one of the extinguished guests of honor at the wedding the mother of the bride will need to look her part. A set of stylish shoes and matching handbag will compliment her outfit. Ideally, the mother of the bride should look for a shoe with a small heel for maximum comfort for the long day ahead.

Before purchasing shoes for others, the bride will need to get those in the bridal party to come along and have fittings and comment on the different choices. The best time to try on shoes is at the end of the day. It is recommended that shoes be tried on when the feet are at their largest, that way there will be plenty of room in the shoes after a long day on your feet.

There are so many quality bridal shoes to choose from and the bride will have a difficult choice finding the perfect shoes to suit everyone, including herself. Since shoes are such a personal choice, the bride may find that not everyone will be able to agree. Ultimately, the choice of what shoes will be worn on the day is up to the bride and what she wants for her special day.

With Sincere Pleasure,
Glenda Ward

Website Go Here: http://www.heavenlyshoeshopper.com

Our News Letter Go Here:
"Tips For the Perfect Shoe" Go Here: http://www.heavenlyshoes-bags.com

--
I have been in the retail shoe busineess many years and recently decided to try the web.
A persons shoes say a lot about them, so it is important to have the right pair for the right occasion, women completely understand this concept, that is why you will find no less than 38 pairs of shoes in the average women’s wardrobe.

There is a difference between the way a woman feels toward her shoes, and the way a man does, as well as a difference in the way that men and women choose their shoes.

Men’s Shoes
Most men take a more conservative approach to shoe choices, they choose shoes that will serve the purpose, and be comfortable, while still looking sleek and smart. This would explain why the most sought after color shoe in the industry is black. This does not mean that men don’t love shoes; it means that they choose shoes as an extension of what they are wearing.

What’s Hot This Season For Men?
This season we can expect to see or men in fine form with leather round toes evening shoes in colors black, gray, brown, and cappuccino for formal occasions,

Casual men’s shoes for this season are likely to be comfortable stylish boots in a range of styles, with traditional colors. Not forgetting the men’s all time favorite the running shoe, which will be favored in the less bitter climates this season.

Women’s Shoes
Women see shoes completely different, because they are often chosen for an accessory to an outfit rather than an extension. Because shoes are considered to be an accessory for women, they need a pair of shoes for almost every outfit in their wardrobe.

Women also need matching accessories that go with their shoes, such as handbags, and belts were necessary to make an outfit come to life, and look personalized. Women dread the thought of going to an event to find there are other women in the same outfit as them, with dressy accessories; the same outfit can look entirely different.

What’s Hot This Season For The Girls?
This season pumps are still hot, although pointy toes are definitely in. The pointy toe rage has also spilled over to the casual footwear and boots as well. Colors this season is deep, such as purples, blues, and dark reds. Gold and black are still as popular as ever, especially in the winter months.

Textured shoes are huge this winter, with the introduction of velvet, suede, and faux furs, which can be found in all shoe types from casual, to dressy, and everything in between. Women should also keep in mind that this season’s footwear is all about femininity; look for styles that are curvy, with girly accents. If you venture toward harsher lines make sure to accent them with a few soft edges this season.

--
With Sincere Pleasure, Glenda Ward http://www.heavenlyshoeshopper.com
"Tips For the Perfect Shoe" Go Here: http://www.heavenlyshoes-bags.com
I have long been in the shoe business.
The first rule to buy a new pair of shoes is: Never buy a pair of shoes without having both your feet measured. It is not uncommon for your feet to be two different sizes. If there is too much difference, you may have to decide if you need to buy two different sizes. Yes I have known of several people needing to do this every time he or she bought a pair of new shoes. Expensive, you bet, but we need our shoes to fit to avoid foot problems. I have a good friend who always has to buy two pair. He wears 2 sizes difference.

Not only should we measure, but all shoes do not run the same. We must always try on both shoes. Our feet are not usually exactly alike. You must buy to accommodate the foot that is a little larger. I wear a C width on one foot and a D+ on the other. Therefore I need to buy an extra wide or a D width. I can always put a pad in the other shoe. Be sure you have toe room, very important.

All retail shoe stores have measuring devices; even in the self service discount stores. If you do not know how to measure your feet, get the store personnel to assist you. They are usually very good about making suggestions if you need help. This is according to the medical association

. This causes many types of foot problems. Many young adults do not measure. Later in life their feet may end up with all types of problems such as bunions, hammer toes, fallen arches ,or corns. All of these problems plus other can cause a great deal of misery.

Always buy your shoes late in the day, when your feet are swollen and are very tired. you will get a better fit. Wear the socks or hosiery you intend to wear with this pair of shoes. Doing these minor steps, you will always have a more comfortable fit. Never buy a pair of shoes thinking I can break them in. This usually does not work and we have another pair in our closet. Leather shoes do give some but synthetics do not.

Always try on both shoes. Many times we do this if we are in a hurry. They need to be comfortable immediately if they are not don't buy them. Go to a different style or larger size.

Walk around the store several minutes, just to see if they are comfortable. Don't just buy the size you purchased before, and they may fit fine. Your feet might not have changed. Especially as we age our feet tend to change and get more sensitive. We usually have more foot problems. Comfort is everything. Wear your shoes on the carpet when you get home and be sure they are right for you.

One big mistake we all make is buying shoes on sale whether they are a great fit or not, after all they are a great price. Women are very inclined to do this. Sometime at sales we tend to buy several pair of the same size and don't try all of them on for a good fit. We just assume they all fit alike. Most of the time they do not. Next spring when we get ready to start wearing them, we discover one is too narrow, one is short etc. Buying this way is just another pair or two in our closet. After all these are last years sale shoes, not returnable. Even if they fit last season, they may not fit next year. Usually going from work to retirement is the time our feet change. Why? we wear different type shoes, we go without shoes more or wear our house slippers more. Just something to keep in mind.

There are many items to consider when buying shoes. This is any shoe, you may be considering. The toe box should be deep and wide enough with about 1/2 in. at the end of the toe area. Does the arch of the shoes hit your arch correctly? This is most important. You do not want an aching arch. If your arch has fallen you may need an arch support. A podiatrist would need to fit you for a support. If you have a flat foot you may need to see a podiatrist for an arch support. You will certainly be more comfortable.

The heel should also fit properly. Your heel should never slip up and down. If it does you may need a narrow heel or a shorter shoe. The heel of the shoe should fit snugly around the your heel, no slippage, no rubbing, just a good snug fit. If the heel stretches, you may need to get a heel wrap to put in the shoe heel. Sold at most drug or shoe stores.

One more thing to watch for is this. When buying especially at self serve store, be sure you get 2 shoes of the same size and a right and left shoe. This happens very often. Yes you can return them, but it takes your time to get it done.

In my experiences with selling shoes and owning a store, these are some of the problems to check for. Only you can choose your comfort level and can determine if this the shoes for you. Don't let a sales person make the judgment for you. Ill fitting shoes can turn into many foot problems.

Any foot problems should be diagnosed by your physician or a podiatrist, They can recommend the proper foot treatment and recommend a good shoe for your problem.

--
Glenda has been in the shoe business 0ver 12 years in retail in Oklahoma.
