You will need the following raid composition in order to kill Bear Lord Nalorakk: 2 tanks, 3-4 healers, 4-5 DPS. You cannot beat this boss with only one tank! Both tanks will need to be well-geared for the raid to successfully defeat him.

Boss Abilities:

Brutal Swipe: This ability hits for around 30,000 damage but will be divided among two targets (7,000 + damage per well-geared tank). Both tanks will have to stand in close proximity of each other and be facing Nalorakk.

Surge: Nalorakk will randomly charge one player and inflict approximately 3,000 points of damage along with performing a knock-back. Any nearby players will also receive the knock-back. This ability is used only during Phase 1.

Mangle: This is a debuff that increases damage taken from bleed effects. It will last for 60 seconds and will be cast on the main tank during Phase 1.

Rend Flesh: This is a bleed effect that causes an instant 6,000 points of damage on Nalorakk's target at the moment Phase 2 begins. An additional 10,000+ points of damage will be inflicted over a 5 second span. If you fail to switch tanks at the precise moment Nalorakk switches to Phase 2, your main tank will have Mangle + Rend Flesh and that will most likely result in a wipe.

Lacerating Slash: This is a bleed effect that causes 15,000+ damage over 18 seconds. Nalorakk will use this ability on his target the moment Phase 2 begins. If you fail to switch tanks, your main tank will have Mangle + Rend Flesh + Lacerating Slash and that will definitely result in a wipe.

Roar: This is a two-second silence AOE that also inflicts 1,300 damage per player. Because of Roar, it is imperative that your healers keep HOTS up on the appropriate tank throughout the fight. Outside of failing to switch tanks from phase to phase, the AOE silence from Roar is usually what wipes a raid.

Raid Positioning: Both tanks must stand next to each other and face Nalorakk. Melee should be positioned behind the boss. Ranged DPS and healers should surround the boss and be spaced apart from each other to avoid multiple players getting hit by his Surge ability.

Basic Strategy: Dual tank the boss and switch tanks when he switches to his bear form in Phase 2. Your second tank will need to taunt him for Phase 2 and your main tank needs to taunt him back when he switches again to his Phase 1 humanoid form. That's the fight in a nutshell. If you can manage to switch his target at the precise moment he switches phases, you've accomplished the hard part.

If you cannot switch tanks back and forth between phases, Nalorakk is going to cast Mangle along with his bleed effects (Rend Flesh and Lacerating Slash) onto one tank, and that combination will most likely kill your tank in a matter of seconds.

Dwarf tanks are useful here because of Stone Form; it will remove the bleed effects. Blessing of Protection will also remove them.

Heal over time spells are particularly important due to Nalorakk's silencing Roar. If you use a druid as one of the tanks, have him or her shift form and cast HOTs onto the other tank to assist the main healers. Be careful not to get caught by a Brutal Swipe while out of bear form!

Blessing of Protection can be used to force-switch Nalorakk to another tank. Cast it onto the main tank and Nalorakk will immediately switch to the off tank (or vice versa). If both tanks get Mangle during the first phase, you will need to remove Mangle from the secondary tank before Nalorakk switches to Phase 2 form.

This boss can be reset. If you lose a tank or otherwise do something detrimental to the raid, players can run down the steps and Nalorakk will reset.

--
For other ZA bosses, visit: Malacrass, Zul’jin.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

How to Kill Hexlord Malacrass - World of Warcraft

Required Raid Composition: 2 tanks, 3-4 healers, 5-6 DPS. Your second tank can be a DPS tank.

Malacrass's Boss Abilities are as follows:

Spirit Bolts: Malacrass will periodically shoot Spirit Bolts at the entire raid. Each Spirit Bolt does 450 points of shadow damage. When he uses this ability, he will shoot twenty Spirit Bolts at each raid member over a period of ten seconds. Line of sight will not hinder the Spirit Bolts. Dampen or Amplifiy Magic will not have any effect on the spell. The Spirit Bolts can be resisted.

Soul Drain: Malacrass will randomly target one player and perform Soul Drain. When this occurs, Malacrass will acquire several abilities from the player and begin using them. He will use these abilities against the raid until the next Soul Drain when he acquires new abilities from the next player. Some of the abilities he may use from various classes are as follows:

Druid - Lifebloom, Thorns, Moonfire

Mage - Frost Nova, Fireball, Frost Bolt

Rogue - Slice and Dice, Blind, Wound Poison

Warlock - Unstable Affliction, Rain of Fire, Curse of Doom

Shaman - Fire Nova Totem, Healing Wave, Chain Lightning

Priest - Heal, Mind Control, Psychic Scream

Hunter - Various traps

Warrior - Spell Reflection, Mortal Strike, Whirlwind

Paladin - Avenging Wrath, Consecration, Holy Light

Drain Power - At one minute intervals Malacross will drain 1% power from raid members and give it to himself, thereby increasing his size and damage. He will not begin to use this ability until his health reaches 80%.

Adds: Malacrass has four random mobs with him. Below is a list of mob types along with their antidote in parentheses:

Thurg - Melee Ogre (Polymorph)

Gazakroth - Imp that spams fireballs at random targets (Banish)

Lord Raadan - Dragonkin with Thundercap and flame breath (Sleep)

Darkheart - Undead wraith with instant-cast AOE fear (Shackle)

Alyson Antille - Healer (Polymorph)

Slither - Serpent that casts Poison bolts (Sleep)

Fenstalker - Elemental that will cast Volatile Infection on random players (Banish)

Koragg - Melee Undead (Shackle)

Basic Strategy: Similar to Moroes in Karazhan, you will need to kill at least 1 add before you should focus all DPS on Malacrass. It is advisable to kill the healers first for two reasons: they heal and because they die quicker. If you are going to leave adds up, it's best to leave the ones alive that are the most time-consuming to kill.

If you are going to chain shackle, your Priests should setup a macro to /target and /cast shackle undead. This will help them immensely as they can focus healing on the tank, cast two or three heals and then one-click their shackle macro. They should never wait for a shackle to break before they recast Shackle. Any other class who is asked to perform Crowd Control should follow this advice.

Depending on which character class Malacrass performs Soul Drain on, you will want to be conscious of the following:

Hunter - Malacrass will drop traps which are clearly visible to the raid. Your tank must be aware of the traps when they appear and immediately move Malacrass to a new position. Freeze traps will freeze multiple targets.

Mage - He will randomly cast Fireballs and Frostbolts. They can be interrupted.

Paladin - Consecreate will hit for 2,500. Tank and melee DPS should move out of range as quick as possible. You will need to dispel Avenging Wrath immediately should it be used. Interrupt Holy Light whenever he attempts to cast it.

Priest - Dispel the Mind Controls or CC them. Interrupt any heals he attempts to cast.

Rogue - You will need to increase healing due to the attack speed increase from Slice and Dice. Blind cannot be avoided and is mostly a non-issue.

Shaman - Kill any Fire Nova Totems ASAP. Interrupt his Chain Lightning and Healing Wave whenever he attempts to cast either spell.

Druid - Melee DPS should stop attacking because of Thorns. Dispel Lifebloom.

Warlock - Decurse Curse of Doom. Rain of Fire will tick for 3,000+ points of damage so players will need to move away from its area of effect as soon as they see it.

Warrior - Healers need to be ready to spam heals if the tank gets hit with Mortal Strike. Casters should watch out for Spell Reflect. Melee DPS will need to be cautious of Whirlwind as it hits for 7,500+ points of damage.

--
For other ZA bosses, visit: Zul’jin, and Jan’alai.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide

This Gold Guide will teach you a great way to make gold within World of Warcraft. Follow the instructions and very soon your pockets will be overflowing with gold.

Prior to earning vast amounts of gold in game, you will need to do the following:

1) Create an auction house toon. You should create a new toon that is strictly for managing and selling your auction items. My auction house toon is named "Zauction". With that name, it's much easier to mail things to it because its name starts with "z". After you create your auction house toon, make sure you add that toon to the friends list of your other toons.

2) (skip this part if you are on a PVP server) Create another auction house toon on the opposing faction's side. If you are a Horde player, you will need to setup an Alliance toon and park it next to the auction house in Ironforge, Stormwind, or Darnassus. Same goes if you are an Alliance player.

3) (skip this part if you are on a PVP server) Create a new toon and move it to the neutral auction house in Winterspring, Gadzetzan, or Booty Bay. Do this for Alliance and Horde.

4) Do a web search for this site: Allakhazam. Go to that site and bookmark it. When you search for items at that website, you will notice that you get a "median AH price" with every search result. This price will be your gauge for determining the resale value of your items. Become familiar with using this website before you start selling items on the Auction House.

5) Analyze your toon. What are its natural strengths? For example, a hunter's strongest asset is nature resistance. Any hunter can build a pet with the highest level of nature resistance and then turn on his Aspect of Nature. That will give his pet around 240 nature resist. What does this mean? It means that a hunter can kill mobs that do nature damage better than any other player class in game. Each player class has its own strength. You must determine what your strengths are before you can start earning large amounts of gold.

You will need approx. 1,000 gold before you can start earning larger sums. Hopefully you followed the first five steps and you have now determined what your toon's greatest strengths are.

As a hunter, my greatest strength is nature resist. I can build a pet with the highest level of nature resist and when I activate Aspect of Nature, my pet will have approx. 240 NR. This makes my hunter very strong against any mobs that do nature damage.

For a level 70 hunter, the easiest mob to kill that drops a high priced item is an Air Elemental. You will find these primarily in Nagrand. You can turn on Aspect of Nature, let your pet tank, and kill three or four Air Elementals before you need to rest and/or heal your pet.

If you aren't a hunter, you will need to find mobs that you can kill with ease. Are you strong against undead? Then you should be farming undead for netherweave cloth. Are you strong against casters? Then you should be farming caster-type mobs that drop valuable loot.

The lesson in this tutorial mirrors real life: in order to be successful, you must focus on your strengths.

What exactly does that mean? It means if you are weak against fire damage, do not waste your time farming Fire Elementals or any other mob that does fire damage. Instead, focus on mobs that you can kill with ease and then sell the items they drop on the auction house.

For gatherers:

If you are a flower-picker (herbalist) or a miner, you will find that materials found in areas with mob levels of 50-60 can be quite profitable to farm. The reason why flowers and ore found in those areas are more valuable is because the bulk of players are not playing at that character level (50-60). That means less farmers. And that makes those items hard to find on the auction house.

Now that you have a basic understanding of how to earn gold within game by actually working for it (aka farming), get to work! Farm items, mail them to your auction house toon, and then sell them on the AH. Save your gold until you have acquired approx. 1,000 gold cash.

After you have acquired a 1,000 gold cash, give yourself a nice pat on the back before continuing.

What do you think is the most profitable item to sell on the auction house? Motes? Primals? Cloth? Herbs? If you answered with any of those, you are wrong.

Here are the two, best selling items on the AH: BOEs (bind-on-equip items) and recipes!

In order to make large sums of gold in World of Warcraft, you need to sell BOEs and recipes.

The reason why BOEs and recipes are the best selling items is because they are in limited supply. They must drop from a mob in order to be found. Not only are they the best selling items, they also make it far easier for you to get rich.

How many gaming hours did it take to farm your 1,000 gold? 10 hours? 20 hours? Twenty hours is probably an accurate number to farm 1,000 gold in loot. (By the way, I commend you for completing this necessary task.)

By comparison, how long do you think it would take to farm a BOE item or recipe? Since the drop rate on both is an extremely low percentage, let's just say it takes 100 gaming hours for every BOE that drops. And that is probably a modest estimate considering that I have seen only THREE epic BOEs drop in my entire World of Warcraft gaming experience.

But wait! Who said you have to actually farm BOEs and recipes to get them? That would be a precious waste of your game time! Wouldn't you rather be running Karazhan or Gruul's lair instead of killing mobs and hoping a BOE item or a recipe drops? Of course you would!

How do you acquire BOEs and recipes? You buy them on the trade channel or the AH.

A typical scenario might go like this: Another player is selling an epic BOE sword on the trade channel for 500 gold. Before you send him a whisper, you go to Allakhazam and do a search for the sword. You discover the sword is indeed worth 500g. Apparently this player has done his homework and is asking the correct price for the sword. Send him a whisper and say, "I'll buy it, but it's only worth 100 gold to me". Most likely he will proceed to promptly cuss you out. But 8 times out of 10 he is desperate for cash (otherwise why is he selling the item on the trade channel?) and he will take your offer. This person will complain and try to get you to pay more, but your answer is always NO. If he doesn't sell it to you, fine. If he does, then you turn around and put the sword on the AH with a 24-hour auction and a buyout of 500 gold or more.

I made at least 20,000 gold by using this exact strategy, and I had fun doing it! You will quickly develop a reputation of being a "reseller". This is both good and bad. The bad is that people will get angry with you, mostly because they are envious of your ability to barter and make gold. The good part is that very soon players will come to you with BOEs and recipes because they know you have the cash to purchase whatever you want.

You should limit your purchase price to 20% to 30% of the "median AH price" found on the Allakhazam website. This leaves a safe margin in case you need to resell something at a much lower price than the listed median price.

You now have knowledge very few wow players possess. But do you have the skills to implement? Only you can answer that.

--
For more wow gold tips, quick reference charts, power leveling guides, and boss instructional videos, please visit World of Warcraft.
This essay will explain how to kill Murmur; the final boss in Shadow Labyrinth. If you follow the strategy described below, you will find him to be a fairly easy encounter.

For those that are just working on Karazhan attunement, you do not need to kill Murmur to acquire the quest item. Simply move left along the wall and you will be able to reach the fragment without having to engage Murmur. Make sure that all party members are nearby before you summon the elite. If a player is too far away, they will not be able to loot the quest item and that can be extremely frustrating as that player will have to complete the entire instance again.

Prior to engaging Murmur, everyone should know this boss’s special abilities. They are as follows:

Sonic Boom. This is an AOE attack that takes a few seconds for him to cast. If you have “view targets spell casting bar” turned on in your interface settings, you will see when he begins to cast this spell and that should allow you enough time to move away from him and avoid taking damage. If you get hit with Sonic Boom, it will do damage equal to approx. 75% of your maximum health and will reduce your movement speed by 90%.

Touch of Murmur. This is a debuff that is placed on a single, random party member. After ten seconds, it will explode and launch the affected player into the air. Everyone within the blast radius will be silenced for a few seconds along with taking approx. 4,000 points of damage. Touch of Murmur is unavoidable. It’s best to either have the affected player immediately move away from the party or simply position everyone so they won’t effect any other player if they happen to get the debuff.

Resonance. Murmur will cast resonance if you fail to keep at least one player within melee range. If he casts resonance, it’s a wipe. The debuff does nature damage and increases nature damage taken.

Party positioning

Your healer should stand alone, and be positioned to either the left or to the right of Murmur. The tank will stand directly in front of Murmur. Ranged DPS should position themselves on the opposite side of your Healer. Melee DPS should stand behind Murmur throughout the fight. It’s very important that the area directly in front of Murmur be left open. Only your tank should be standing there, and nobody should be standing behind the tank. The reasoning behind these positions will become clear in a moment.

Step by Step for engaging Murmur

1. Your tank engages Murmur where he stands. By the way, Murmur is fixed in position. He will not move throughout the entire fight.

2. The moment your tank engages Murmur, the rest of the party should begin DPS. You do not need to wait for aggro to be established.

3. When Murmur begins to cast Sonic Boom, your melee DPS (who is positioned directly behind Murmur), should run straight forward and try their best to avoid getting hit by it. Your tank should not move and will need to be healed through each Sonic Boom.

4. Depending on your player class, when you get Touch of Murmur, do the following:

If your tank gets Touch of Murmur, he should not move. Your healer should heal your tank through it. However, all other melee DPS will need to run straight forward to the area in front of Murmur and get away from the Tank to avoid taking damage.

If your healer gets Touch of Murmur, she should just keep healing the tank and stay right where she is standing. If your healer is properly positioned by herself, it should not affect other party members. She will need to heal herself after the explosion.

If ranged DPS gets Touch of Murmur, they need to keep shooting/spell casting. They must keep their DPS maxed at all times. Do not run, it won’t do any good. It’s more important that you continue to DPS. After the explosion, they will need to bandage and/or take health potions. If they are properly positioned, they should not harm anyone else.

If melee DPS gets Touch of Murmur, they need to immediately run forward to the clear area in front of Murmur. If they are not fast enough, they will wipe your party by killing the tank.

If you follow the above strategy, Murmur is a very easy kill. The less melee DPS you have in the party, the easier he gets because nobody has to move when they get Touch of Murmur, and the overall DPS will be constant throughout the fight.

--
For more wow gold tips, quick reference charts, power leveling guides, and boss instructional videos, please visit World of Warcraft.
How to Kill Pandemonius - First Boss in Mana Tombs - World of Warcraft

Pandemonius - a 66 elite Demon, is the first boss in the Auchindoun instance called Mana Tombs. This article will discuss how to defeat this Demon.

Auchindoun is located in the middle of the Bone Wastes, which is just south east of Shattrath city. You will need to travel East out of Shattrath city and then turn right - or head south, at the first road. Keep following that road until you enter The Bone Wastes.

Travel to the middle of the Bone Wastes and you will find a large, dilapidated stone structure. Auchindoun is located inside these ruins. You will need to work your way through a series of stone corridors before you reach the Summoning Stone for the Auchindoun instances. The Summoning Stone serves the following instances: Mana Tombs, Sethekk Halls, Shadow Labyrinth, and Auchenai Crypts. Mana Tombs can be found by heading directly north from the Summoning Stone.

When you get near the Mana Tombs entrance, you will see many Consortium NPCs where you can acquire several different quests. I recommend you skip all available Consortium quests until you have earned at least Honored Reputation with Consortium by repeatedly completing the Mana Tombs instance.

After you enter Mana Tombs, you will need to successfully pull five or six groups of mobs before you can actually engage the first boss, which is Pandemonius.

Pandemonius has two abilities that all party members should know about:

Void Blast - He will cast a series of five shadow-damage blasts that will also produce a knock-back effect. Since your tank will be positioned with his or her back against a wall or other solid object throughout this entire fight, your tank is going to get hit multiple times in rapid succession from this ability. Your healers must be able to heal him or her through these blasts. For Heroic mode encounters, it is imperative that your tank wear considerable shadow resist gear. Other party members should have 100+ shadow resist gear each (for Heroic mode).

Dark Shell - When this ability is active, you will see a small, green shield (look closely while fighting him; it is difficult to spot). The party leader should immediately tell everyone to stop all DPS when Pandemonius uses Dark Shell. This includes your tank. Spells will be reflected during this time, and melee attackers will take about 1,000 points of damage for every successful hit on Pandemonius. Any damage-over-time-spells (DOTS) cast prior to his casting of Dark Shell will continue to damage him.

Proper positioning:

Near the stone tablet is a mound of dirt that is piled-up against a wall. This mound is one of two spots for tanking the boss. The other position is against the large stone table. Your tank should fight Pandemonius either on top of the mound or with his/her back against the tablet. Melee should position themselves behind the boss throughout this fight and be prepared to move away (if necessary) when he casts Void Blast.

Casters, hunters, and healers should stand near the large, stone tablet and place their back against it. Or, if the tank is positioned against the tablet, the ranged dps/healers should stand on top of the mound. By keeping your backs against the wall or the tablet, you will avoid getting knocked back from Void Blast and avoid missed heals or slowed DPS.

Most newcomers make the mistake of continuing to attack Pandemonius while Dark Shell is in effect. You'll spot these players immediately because they are the first to die, and they will die very quickly. If you're the party leader, it's up to you to let everyone know exactly when to stop DPS.

A simple method to notify everyone to stop DPS is to setup a macro that says, "STOP DPS". You could set it up as a yell or as a warning message that flashes in the middle of the screen. Either way, it's up to the party leader to notify everyone exactly when they should stop attacking Pandemonius. The key to defeating Pandemonius revolves around stopping DPS during Dark Shell. Good luck!

--
For more wow gold tips, quick reference charts, power leveling guides, and boss instructional videos, please visit World of Warcraft.
How To Kill Nexus-Prince Shaffar - Last Boss in Mana Tombs - World of Warcraft

Nexus-Prince Shaffar is the final boss in the Mana Tombs instance. This essay will discuss the proper method to defeat Prince Shaffar.

You will find Mana Tombs in Auchindoun, which is located in the center of the Bone Wastes zone. To reach Mana Tombs from Shattrath city, you will need to travel east out of town until you reach the first road. Follow that road south until you enter the Bone Wastes, and then keep heading south. You will eventually enter an area of structural ruins called Auchindoun. Work your way to the interior of Auchindoun and you will find the Summoning Stone for the Auchindoun instances. From the Summoning Stone, head directly north and you will find the entrance to Mana Tombs. (Tip: Mana Tombs has many Consortium NPCs outside of the instance-entrance. If you don’t see these NPCs, you may be at the wrong entrance!)

Before your party engages Prince Shaffar, every player should be well aware of the following:

Ethereal Beacons – These are what kill you and will no doubt wipe your party repeatedly until everyone figures out that they must die first. The Prince will have three of these floating near him at the start of the fight. The Ethereal Beacons will transform into casters if your party does not destroy them fast enough. If the Beacons are allowed to transform into casters, they will proceed to blast your party to pieces. It is important to focus on the Ethereal Beacons at the start of the fight, and then DPS the Prince once the Beacons are dead. Additionally, party members should immediately switch their targeting to any Ethereal Beacon should one spawn and destroy it before continuing to DPS the Prince.

The basic strategy for Nexus-Prince Shaffar:

1. Only your tank should engage the Prince at the start. Everyone else should pre-target each of the three Ethereal Beacons before your tank pulls Prince Shaffar. Assign targets to party members to ensure everyone knows which Ethereal Beacon they are killing. (TIP: There is always one Ethereal Beacon located directly behind the Prince. The easiest way to target that Beacon is to click directly above the Prince’s head.)

2. When you tank pulls, all other party members must focus their attention on the three Beacons and destroy them as fast as possible. Killing the Beacons first is critical to winning this fight. When the Beacons are destroyed, party members may begin to DPS the Prince.

3. Occasionally, the Prince will Blink and teleport a short distance away. Normally this does not reset the aggro list. Your tank should be able to immediately move to the Prince after every Blink. Also, your healers must be prepared to move in case there are line-of-sight issues for healing the tank.

4. Approximately every ten seconds, Prince Shaffar will spawn another Ethereal Beacon somewhere nearby. All party members (except your tank and healer) should immediately focus their DPS onto the new Ethereal Beacon until it is destroyed. Do not let the Beacon transform into a caster! Once the Beacon is dead, resume DPS on Prince Shaffar.

5. If you’ve reached this stage, then you’ve got the Ethereal Beacons under control. Now you should DPS the Prince as you would any other boss, and then divvy up the loot.

Nexus-Prince Shaffar does not hit very hard (melee-wise), so your tank should not be taking considerable physical-damage throughout the fight. However, the Prince does cast magic damage, specifically: frost, shadow, fire, and arcane damage. If you have any auras or resistance-spells that can be cast, they will be helpful. It is not necessary to switch to resistance gear for this fight; DPS gear is far more important than any kind of resistance gear that you might have.

If you’re the leader of the party, it is imperative that you stress to your fellow party-members to kill the Ethereal Beacons immediately. The Beacons are the critical element to this fight. Control them and you will defeat Nexus-Prince Shaffar without difficulty.

Good luck!

--
For more wow gold tips, quick reference charts, power leveling guides, and boss instructional videos, please visit World of Warcraft.
Within the Terokkar Forest zone and in the center of The Bone Wastes, you will find an area called Auchindoun. When you are at the Ring of Observance and standing besides the Meeting Stone, Mana Tombs will be located directly to your North. You will see many Consortium NPCs standing outside the front door to this instance. Inside is where you will find Tavarok; the second boss of Mana Tombs.

Tavarok has two abilities that every party member should be aware of before engaging him:

Earthquake - This ability has a range of about 35 yards. It inflicts approx. 800 points of damage to anyone within its range and an additional 2,000 points of damage over the next few seconds. Players that are caught within the range of Earthquake will also get stunned for approx. 5 seconds. Healers, casters, and hunters should stay at maximum distance from Tavarok throughout the entire fight and do their best not to pull aggro from the tank. If you pull aggro, Tavarok will charge you and other players will most likely get hit by his next Earthquake. This may lead to a wipe, especially if one of the stunned players is your healer.

Crystal Prison - This is a random debuff that deals 50% of your total health in damage over a period of five seconds. This can’t be avoided, so your healer will have to take care of any player who gets this debuff, or players should bring along their own healing potions and bandages for this fight.

There is nothing tricky about this fight. In fact, it is commonly refereed to as a simple “tank and spank”. Avoid the Earthquakes. Keep your tank healed. Don’t pull aggro. Accomplish those three things and you will find this encounter to be extremely easy. Good luck!

Copyright 2007, Glen Meyers.
How to Kill Maiden of Virtue - The Third Boss in Karazhan - World of Warcraft

Maiden of Virtue is the third boss in Karazhan and is an optional boss; you do not need to kill her to progress further into Karazhan. This essay will discuss how to defeat her.

She has four abilities worth noting:

Holy Ground – AOE waves that continuously spread out from her. These waves do minimal damage to their targets. However, if you get hit by them, you will get silenced for approx. 2 seconds. If players remember to stand directly on top of either of the two dark gray steps leading up to her, they will easily avoid getting hit by this constant AOE.

Holy Fire – Random DOT that inflicts around 3,000 points of damage initially and an additional 2,000 every 2 seconds. This must be dispelled immediately. It’s usually best to assign one full-time healer to remove this DOT.

Holy Wrath – AOE, instant-cast chain spell. The damage increases with each target that it jumps to. For this reason, everyone must stay clear of Maiden except your tank. It is advisable not to have any melee DPS for this fight; all-ranged players is the easiest way to defeat her.

Repentance – Stuns all players for 10-12 seconds or until they take damage. When she casts Repentance, everyone will be stunned. Since your tank will take almost immediate damage from Holy Ground, your tank will break free from Repentance and can resume tanking.

Primary roles:

Paladin – full time removal of Holy Fire. This DOT must be removed from party members as quickly as possible as it does a lot of damage. Your paladin should also keep Blessing of Sacrifice on the main tank at all times. When Maiden casts Repentance, your paladin will take damage along with your tank (from Blessing of Sacrifice) and they will both break from the stun. The paladin then assumes the role of primary healer for your tank while the rest of the party waits for the Repentance stun to wear off. If your paladin fails to break free from repentance, he or she must bubble and heal the main tank. You can only do this once, of course, so Blessing of Sacrifice must be kept on the tank at all times. Without Blessing of Sacrifice she is extremely difficult to defeat.

Priests/Druids – must keep HOTS on the main tank at all times along with healing the rest of the party throughout the fight. Additionally, priests should create a one-click macro to target maiden and cast PAIN onto her (this extra DOT will help with the overall damage done to her).

To start the fight, everyone should spread-out around her. Be careful not to aggro her while you are getting into position! One of your priests should stand directly opposite the tank; this healer will be responsible for healing your main tank while everyone else moves in close to her. Prior to your tank charging in, your other healers should cast HOTS onto him or her.

Your tank should charge straight to the center of the area and tank her there. The rest of the party should form a circle around her and stand directly on top of the dark gray steps that lead up to her. The first step is usually close enough to allow your paladin to remove Holy Fire from everyone without having out-of-range issues.

Keep HOTS on your tank, keep blessing of sacrifice up at all times, remember to stand on the dark gray, and keep your paladin alive! Follow these suggested tips and you should kill Maiden of Virtue within a few attempts.

Copyright 2007, Glen Meyers.
Bladefist can be a tough encounter, even for experienced players. You will need mana potions, healing potions, and bandages. It is a long fight. You must come prepared. The problems involved with killing Bladefist are as follows:

Blade Dance – Kargath will ping-pong around his cage every thirty seconds and do a high amount of damage to anyone in his path. For this reason, it is best for everyone to stand apart from each other. The fewer players who get hit by Blade Dance the better chance you will have to win.

Elite Assassins – These will spawn periodically from the hallway. They will come up the stairs, enter the arena, and typically go straight for your healer.

Assignments:

Your tank needs to engage Bladefist and keep him in the exact center of the arena. Your tank will remain in that spot throughout the fight, and focus on maintaining Kargath’s aggro.

Your healer should position herself in an opposite corner from the stairs. She should get as far into the corner as possible and stay there throughout the fight. Also, she should use a mana potion as early as possible; the fight is long, and she will be able to use a second potion.

Ranged DPS should position themselves in the immediate left and right corners as you enter the arena. They should each get into their own corner and stay there throughout the fight.

You will need one melee DPS or AOE DPS positioned between Kargath and the stairs. This player will focus on the ads when they arrive from the hallway.

Ranged DPS should stay focused on Kargath until an Assassin enters the arena. At that point, both ranged DPS and the melee/AOE DPS should focus on the Assassin and kill it as quick as possible. As soon as the Assassin is dead, all DPS should resume on Kargath.

Your healer should be allowed to focus only on herself and the tank. Everyone else needs to bring bandages and/or healing potions.

This is a proven strategy for killing Kargath Bladefist. It may take you a few attempts before everyone understands their roles, but you will eventually beat him. Good luck!

--
For more wow gold tips, quick reference charts, power leveling guides, and boss instructional videos, please visit World of Warcraft.
How To Kill Warbringer O'mrogg - The Second Boss in Shattered Halls - World of Warcraft

This essay will explain how to kill Warbringer O’mrogg; the second boss in Shattered Halls. This fight can be more frustrating than difficult. If you get unlucky, your healer can be dead almost immediately.

O’mrogg’s abilities:

Two aggro lists – It is believed that each head (he’s a two-headed Ogre) maintains its own aggro list. You can tell which head you are attacking by his emotes. When he speaks in a new voice, you are most likely establishing aggro on a new list.

Immune to taunt abilities – Damage/healing is the only way to gain aggro on him.

AOE fear – You have two options with this: either make your tank immune to fear, or make sure everyone gets feared. He will charge any player who does not get feared.

Thunderclap – This does AOE nature damage and slows your movement speed.

Burning weapon – When you see his weapon glow, his next attack will hit for fire damage. This will be immediately followed by two AOE fire waves. Melee DPS should try to avoid the fire waves by moving away from him.

Helpful tips:

One player should announce whenever he switches targets, and your healer should start healing that player immediately.

Using two tanks works extremely well for this fight. We typically let my pet engage the boss initially, and then our warrior steps in after Warbringer speaks in a new voice for the first time. Using two tanks makes this fight almost trivial since our healer never gets targeted. However, my pet does have high shadow resistance (240 when buffed). When O’mrogg casts fear, at least one of our tanks avoids the fear which prevents anyone else from getting targeted.

Paladins are great healers for this fight. Since they are wearing plate, they can take several hits from O’mrogg without much cause for concern. Cloth wearers will usually die in two or three hits.

Very important! You must find and kill the assassin in this room before you engage Warbringer O’mrogg. He is usually lurking in a corner to the right. If you don’t find and kill this assassin, you will most likely aggro him during the fight and he will cause a wipe.

--
For more wow gold tips, quick reference charts, power leveling guides, and boss instructional videos, please visit World of Warcraft.
