<description><![CDATA[ If you want to get back into shape it does not have to be all gym, gym, gym, why dont you lose weight by doing activities you enjoy. Most types of sports envolve some type of physical activity and is a great way to shed some pounds. If you want to lose weight you must burn off more energy than you consume on a day to day basis. This is why doing sports is good for losing some weight as it uses a lot of energy. Tennis, football, rugby, hockey, or any type of sport where you can burn off some energy and work up a sweat is all good for weight loss. It is important to enjoy the sport because if you do not enjoy it you are unlikley to keep doing it. You must do the sport at least 3 -4 times a week for a hour or two per session. It may take a month or so before you start seeing the benfits of it, but if you are enjoying yourself the time will fly by.<br /><br />Obviously it is important to eat the right foods, doing 2 hours of physical activity then going home and pigging out on bad foods is not going to help you much. Try to set yourself a program each week where you might do 2 hours on a monday, wednesday and friday and have a break on saturday and sunday. Try to make time for this and fit it around your lifestyle.<br /><br />Swimming is another energy burning way to lose weight. Its great as it works all the muscles in your body at the same time, i bet you have never seen an overweight swimmer. However it is not considered the best form of weight loss as it increases your appetite more than other methods. Experts are not sure why but put it down to the cool water people swim in. As their research seems to indicate, by swimming in cold water people consume more calories afterwords than by swimming in nutural water.<br /><br />The bottom line is any type of exercise, be it swimming, walking, sports activites, or any other method where you can burn off some energy is all good for you. <description><![CDATA[ There are mny types of exercise routines out there that can help you to lose weight, but if you dont have the will power to stick to an exercise plan then you are unlikley to lose much weight. Your age and lifestyle will also determine if you are serious about exercise but at the end of the day if you are really determined to lose weight then these factors will not matter.<br /><br />If you have been inactive for a long time then it is really important that you start slowly. Doing to much, too soon, you increase the chance of injury, but your more likley to burn out and give up alltogether. To start with, an hour of moderate activity most days of the week is a good place to start. You want to set a goal of 30 - 60 minute workouts, at least three days a week. After you feel comfortable doing that you can increase your duration intensity of your workouts, this will condition your body to regular exercise. Experts say you should exercise 60 - 90 minutes a day, but if that sounds excessive, doing 10 minutes here and 5 minutes there during a day, it all mounts up. In the main it is best to do a longer workout as this benefits the body more.<br /><br />Cardio and aerobic exercises are two forms mainly used for toning the body which will help you to lose weight. Aerobic means oxygen is delivered to the tissues of your body, it helps to remove waste when done over a long period. Cardio and aerobic will help you burn fat and get the weight to start peeling away.<br /><br /><br />Aerobic exercise can include - walking, running or jogging, dancing and exercise classes.<br /><br />Cardio exercise can include - rowing machine, step machine, elliptical trainer, bike riding and treadmill.<br /><br />It is best to set yourself goals, try to lose a few pounds a week to start. If you set yourself goals you are more likley to stick to an exercise routine.
