My son Jack and I took some time out from playing with the educational toys he received for Christmas and went to a hockey game over the holidays. What I notice when kids play with science toys is the enthusiasm, the team work, the competitiveness that exudes.  <br><br>It is important that the toys maintain a fun level and always keep in mind that the toys should be unbreakable, free of small pieces and sharp edges, and non-toxic.<br><br>The best guide for buying toys for children is to see what they enjoy playing with, and be sure to keep an eye on the manufacturers recommended age.  We find that many retailers across Britain, like the Early Learning Centre, sell a variety of toys and activities to aid a child's development, including toy gardening tools and cooking implements.  <br><br>Finally, children’s educational toys come from varied sources but please be sure that whatever you may pick, that your child will actually want to play with the toy.
