In the current climate of business closings and employee layoffs, many marketers are finding it increasingly difficult to get their advertisements to resonate with consumers. Especially online, where the consumer must read the sales pitch rather than just listen to it or watch it.

Reading a sales pitch requires both interest and patience on the part of the consumer. But often times the consumer’s patience is only maximized once interest is established and a consumer’s interest only perks up once something in the copy grabs their attention.

Here’s the problem. When an economically strained consumer begins understanding that they are just reading a sales pitch, they stop reading. They figure that the copy is leading them down a road that wants them to spend money and much like the choice between driving on the freeway or taking the toll road, they will avoid the toll road unless it is absolutely necessary. Most products aren’t absolutely necessary or must haves. They are options.

Gasoline is a must have. Consumer’s lives are intertwined with the use of it. They need it to get to work, to travel to buy their food, pick up their kids, etc. A new couch, on the other hand, is an option. Consumers have the option of just sticking with their old couch or sitting on the floor Japanese style.

Being successful at advertising in today’s climate of plummeting consumer confidence requires an approach that helps minimize the consumer’s negative feelings about being hit with a sales pitch asking them to spend money, while they are simultaneously concerned about their personal finances. There is a way to do it. I’ll write more about this later.

Remember these: Confidence, Interest Patience, Reading, Purchase

We have all figured out by now that high gas prices aren’t going anywhere, any time soon. Due to increased demand on dwindling reserves, inflation directly affects the consumer’s state of well being. Marketers must adjust to this new reality as seen through the eyes of consumers or fail at their attempts to reach them.

You must understand that the heart of a successful advertising and marketing campaign is “confidence”. Really…think about it. The purpose of saying all of the good stuff about a particular product is to instill confidence in the consumer of your product’s ability to solve their problem. Some marketers think that gaining that confidence is all that it takes, but guess what.

Not anymore. In today’s economy, simply raising consumer’s impression of the quality of your products can actually be a moot point. That timeless marketing approach has its highest rate of success in good economic times but looses much of its power once tough economic times hit. Consumers can have a very high level of confidence that the widget you are selling will do what they want done. But if their overall confidence of their financial well being is low, advertisements tend to fall on deaf ears.

Remember, your ultimate goal is to sell your products, not to simply brag about them.

Today, plummeting consumer confidence means that many consumers are more focused on saving money wherever possible. Remember, they must look past job losses, a shaken housing market and a weak dollar to see your product. Getting them to do that is no easy task. However, you need to make this as easy as possible for them.

The New Tactic
A new online advertising tactic is proving to be effective at eliciting the Confidence, Interest, Patience, Reading, and Purchasing Decision that has eluded many marketers recently.

The tactic will seem strange at first but read past the point that you ask the question “what?” and you will see why this works.

The tactic consists of offering the consumers a monetary reward for locating errors on in your website’s copy and reporting them to you first or in other words, allowing your customers to become a loyal part of a group that makes you better by pointing out things that your website could be doing better.

This is probably where you just asked the what question. Remember, open your mind and read on.

Remember, Confidence, Interest, Patience, Reading, and Purchasing Decision. Through web communities like TypoBounty dot com, advertisers offer millions of consumers the opportunity to locate and earn money for reporting valuable information to the marketer. THERE IS A LIMITED NUMBER OF ERRORS ON ANY WEB PROPERTY. Just because millions of consumers come and read all of your copy does not mean that you will pay millions of dollars. It just means that millions of consumers willingly read every word of your sales pitch with Confidence, Interest, and Patience, and your sales pitch has the opportunity to cause a Purchasing Decision.

Through sites like TypoBounty dot com, you choose the help you want, decide how much you will pay consumers for valid reports, you choose what is valid and what is not and how many payments you are willing to pay per month. You keep total control while gaining unprecedented consumer attention and website services.

To the consumer, it is a game that allows them to earn money. They are in many cases unaware that they are being marketed to. They read the entire sales pitch looking for an opportunity and simultaneously being convinced of their need for your product as your sales pitch copy side steps the reluctance that sales pitches conjures up in the consumer’s mind. TypoBounty dot com gets the consumer to pay attention to every word you have to say to them. What you say to them is totally up to you.

It costs less than conventional advertising. Ad spaces cost much less to provide budget room for paying for reports should they occur.

This marketing tactic costs less, provides more bangs for the buck in consumers’ undivided attention and is a great public relations move. Consumers begin to see your brand as a fun brand and as a brand that is helping them cope with their economic difficulties. At the same time, the consumer learns about why your product is worthy of their limited resources.

--
The author, John Reed, has 15 years business marketing experience and has had the opportunity to use and review multiple online businesses and strategies.
Everyone knows that investing in ventures that make one’s money grow is an excellent means of securing one’s future. What escapes many investors is the understanding that powerful opportunities exist online which have the ability to greatly increase returns. Many of which have the ability to greatly outperform investments touted by the big firms.
Knowing they exist but not knowing quite how to find them is the reason for much frustration for investors seeking such opportunities.
However today, it is easier than ever. When you know where to look.

In this Internet age, search engines have been tools utilized to locate all types of information. So I thought, why not use search engines to look for viable investment opportunities as well. I was really surprised at what I found in my exploration of this concept. Sure, I know readers of this article are thinking. The Internet has been used for investment information from the beginning. I know that.

On this journey, however, I avoided searching for the investing related terms millions of other investors search for. I essentially tried to get off of the beaten path. I avoided terms such as; AMERITRADE, Ameritrade, TDAMERITRADE, TD Waterhouse, Online Trading, Online Stock Trading, Online Investing, Online Trading Services, Stock Trading, Buy Stock, Trade Stock, Stocks, Stock Market Trading, Online Trades, Investing, Investment, Investments, Online Investment, Stock Investing, Mutual Funds, IRA, Roth IRA, Online Trading Tools, Option Trading, Broker Services, Online Broker, Online Stock Broker, Online Brokerage, Stock Market, Active Investing, Active Trading, and Online Stock Research.

I attempted to look for those investment opportunities that I knew had to be slipping under investor radar. I searched words like “Invention needs manufacturer”, “invention needs investors”, “Invention needs funds” and “Invention seeks funding”. Initially, I thought it strange that the results I was finding existed on sites like YouTube.com, PrWeb.com and a less known website called GoBigNetwork.com. Thinking that this was too easy, I investigated it further to determine whether this was just some quacks with an “underwater basket weaving gadget” or whether they were legitimate investment opportunities that had merit.

I was actually pleasantly surprised to find that the opportunities were legitimate ventures that if funded and managed well could easily become the next big thing. Two opportunities that really stick out in my opinion are two investment opportunities that I found clearly listed on PrWeb.com. The inventor makes a compelling case.

Investment Opportunity 1 http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/05/prweb972694.htm

Investment Opportunity 1 (investment info) http://www.gobignetwork.com/classified/active/patented-recession-proof-product-needs-funding-for-contract-manufacturing-see-on-youtube/253136/index.aspx

Investment Opportunity 2 http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/05/prweb917964.htm

There is a diverse assortment of investment opportunities but I chose to highlight these two because they clearly represent an extraordinary range of investment opportunities that exist online.

The name of the investing game is “high returns”. Excellent opportunities exist for those investors that would like to add powerful additions to their portfolios. Angel investors looking for the next big thing need only change the keywords they use to search for it.

--
The author, John Reed, has 15 years business experience and has had the opportunity to use and review multiple businesses and strategies.
Making Your Dog Happy, Saving Them From Pet Depression

There is a common thread between a dog owner and his/her dog. When there is an interruption in the happiness of the pet, the owner can usually tell something is wrong.
One of the most common impacts on a dog’s happiness is boredom.
Many owners love their pets but loose sight of the impact boredom can have on an otherwise healthy dog.

Whether the dog is a housedog or a yard dog is insignificant. Dogs are living, breathing beings with emotions not unlike our own.
Prior to domestication, dogs were wild, free roaming animals that were able to enact their rights for the pursuit of happiness. They could run as far as they liked, learn by investigating their world as it peaked their interest and find as much adventure as they pleased. Fast-forward to today’s world and you can see how that has changed.

These days, dogs are kept animals. Often confined to a home or yard for 23 hours of the day, adventure and exploration have been taken from their daily experiences as they can only be excited about a room or furniture arrangement for a limited amount of time. This induces boredom and something as close to depression as a dog can feel.

Remember, just because they can’t talk and say the word depression doesn’t mean that they can’t feel it.
Think about it. It is obvious that they can feel fear, pain, sadness, and joy. Why wouldn’t they be able to feel depression? The other feelings are just more noticeable because owners know what to look for as indicators.

When a dog begins whimpering, what do you think that means? Sadness right?
When the dog runs from you after breaking something in the home, what is that? Fear Right?
Well when a dog is continually low-key in its personality, even when you play with him/her, consider whether the animal is depressed.

Depression in humans has the same effect. Irrespective of how wonderful life is around them, they can’t see it. Don’t accept that your dog’s low-key persona is just the way he/she is.

If you were unable to explore and had to look at the same walls or fenced in area 23 hours a day, every day, wouldn’t that depress you? Doesn’t that sound like what prisoners endure in the federal prison system. Remember, a dog has very little appreciation for how much your couch costs or the elegance of your decorating skills. They just understand that they have to look at the same things every day and that there is very little adventure.

Ever notice that when you walk your dog, he/she almost pulls your arm out of the socket as he/she drags you down the street, seemingly intent on going as far as possible before being locked up again? Or have you ever accidentally left the door open a little too long and had to go looking for your dog? Know why? Adventure is calling.

It is important to regularly take your dog out for walks and to places where they have never been before. This will consistently create anticipation in the dogs mind and help snap the bands of boredom and stave off depression.

Also, there are pet toys and products that can be purchased to add adventure to your dogs life even when they are kept in the house. When looking to buy products remember that the product should provide a mental and adventurous challenge to the dog and should appeal to the dog, not you.

The toys should be changed out regularly. Dogs are like children. Once they are bored of a particular toy, it serves no further purpose. This can become a little expensive but websites like TypoBounty dot com provide a way for dog owners to afford the items. On TypoBounty dot com, dog owners can earn thousands of dollars per year for buying adventure toys for their dog by reporting typographical errors that they see online.

The owner saves the pocket book and the dog receives the adventurous existence he/she needs.

--
The author, John Reed, has 15 years business experience and has had the opportunity to use and review multiple businesses and strategies.
When you first start your website, you have the hopes and dreams that once you build it, the flocks of web surfers will somehow come to it.

It’s not that simple, but there are a few steps that a tiny budget website can do to give itself the most powerful chance at growing fast and being a success.

Before we get into the moves you need to make, you must understand why you must make them.
Advertising is a fun thing to do when done correctly but can be a pain in the rump if approached incorrectly. Most people will tell you that their initial experience with advertising was a frustrating one but it doesn’t have to be that way. Advertising can be a rewarding and successful experience if one does not get dragged into the foolishness of following the crowd.

You see, in advertising, the only crowd that you should be interested in, is the crowd that can help you reach your goals. That would be the crowds of web surfers. If you follow the crowd of your competitors, you are playing right into the hands of the “foolishness” that I mentioned earlier. That is because when crowds of advertisers show up in a certain place or begin using a certain marketing tactic, THE PRICE OF GOOD SPOTS GO UP CONSIDERABLY and THE VISITORS THAT YOU WANT CAN’T FIND YOU DUE TO YOUR ADS BEING PRICED OUT OF POSITION.

As a small business, only targeting the spaces that the big guys do is the same as throwing money away. Often times your ad is pushed so far out in left field that the clicks are minimal due to no one actually seeing it.

The best thing that a small website with a small budget can do is take the time to focus the money inward in the early stages. What I mean is, if your website has the features that warrant their attention it does much of the attracting itself. I don’t mean that you should not advertise, just embark on this journey using good sense. It will save you so much money in the long run.

If you advertise a website that is not up to par, your chances of success is very limited. You will simply throw money at the problem and have none of that financial investment come back to you. Is that what you want? I don’t think so. Most website owners are attempting to accomplish something with their websites. Coming shy of accomplishing their goal is not something that appeals to them. Don’t set yourself up for frustration.

In times past, focusing the money inward meant not doing any advertising but that has changed with advertising websites like TypoBounty.com. I would suggest that every new website begin advertising in a location that allows the money to contribute back to the effectiveness of the website. Such a low cost venue that provides so many website services for the same money is optimum for websites that are just starting out.

When you advertise on TypoBounty.com visitors look for ways that your website can be better and report it to you. If they see misspelled words they tell you, if your punctuation is off the let you know. There are so many other benefits but you will jus have to visit their advertising page to understand how it works. There is too much to list here.

Getting more for your money when you don’t have very much money to begin with is the key to growing a website into a powerful player on the world stage of the Internet.

--
The author, John Reed, has 15 years business marketing experience and has had the opportunity to use and review multiple online businesses and strategies.
Gas Price Tips That Help

Heard the latest? Gas prices went up again. Yeah, I know. That was a poorly designed intro. With gas prices steadily on the rise, we all are feeling the pain.

One thing is for sure, the high prices that we are seeing now will be around for a while and although they may change, the change probably won’t be any good for our wallets.

So, where do we go from here? We know the usual tips for lowering the effect of this money drain such as driving less, keeping tires properly inflated, and driving at slower speeds. Those all work and provide a substantial benefit to the budget but they must be accompanied by additional measures to help the budget further.

1. Use tools like the Gas Money Toolbar or the TypoBounty.com toolbar at GasMoneyToolbar.com. This toolbar allows its users earn money online to pay for gas. Through the popular website TypoBounty.com, the toolbar really helps offset the costs.

2. Use websites like GasBuddy.com to find the lowest gas prices in your area.

3. If your vehicle can run on lower grades of fuel, use it. Check your vehicles manual to determine if your vehicle really needs the higher grades of gas. It really amazes me that so many people use the higher grades of gas when they really don’t need to. Check it out. You may be spending additional money for naught.

4. Take freeways and roads with fewer lights when possible. Stopping and starting is the enemy of fuel economy. When at all possible maintain the momentum that your vehicle burned fuel to provide you. Listen, the average car is over 2000 pounds. It takes an enormous amount of power to move that load from a dead stop. However, it is quite easy for the engine to maintain the load momentum once load is already moving. If you encounter street lights do your best to time them to minimize their effects on your vehicle’s gas mileage.

5. When driving and desiring to accelerate, do it on the down side of a hill if you can find one. Allow gravity to ease your vehicle’s need for propulsion.

Remember, gas prices may rise but using extra techniques and tools to combat the money drain can help a lot.

--
The author, John Reed, has 15 years business marketing experience and has had the opportunity to use and review multiple online businesses and strategies.
Online Advertising, Making Customers Buy

If there is one thing that has become evident to both professional marketers and amateurs alike, it is that getting your message truly heard and comprehended by potential customers is essential to selling your products.
In fact, the term “advertise” means nothing without that distinction. However, many have allowed this all important word to lose its meaning in their own minds.

To some, the term “advertise” has some how become synonymous with “place a banner ad online”. This is one of the biggest mistakes any small are large organization can make, as it tends to lead to poor sales results and frustration. Why not skip all of that?

Look. You have to understand why many advertising campaigns fail in order not to fall into the same money drain trap. You should aim to benefit from every dollar you spend… Seriously. Lets look at it.

First: The Problem

As any true marketer will tell you, increasingly, banners go days and sometimes months without ever being clicked as more and more web surfers succumb to ad blindness. That’s why in the advertising world many settle for click through rates of less than 2 percent. If you are running an impression based advertising campaign, that is a failure rate of 98 percent. That means 98 percent of the people that visited the site where your banner ad was displayed either didn’t notice it at all due to ad blindness, or flat out rejected your ad’s attempt to coerce them into giving you their time which would have allowed your website to explain why your product is so great. That’s entirely too high of a failure rate.

If you are one of those misinformed marketers that think click through rates of 2 percent are acceptable, consider this.
Lets analyze the quality of the visits by the 2 percent of people that saw your ad and thought it interesting enough to click on it. If you’ll check your website logs, you will see that over 50 percent of people that come to your website, stay less than 2 minutes. These are the people I affectionately call the “looky loos”. They basically are interested but have no intensions of giving you the time necessary to convince them to buy. They just like, for whatever reason, to keep abreast of what is going on in their particular area of interest.

Then you have those that stay on your website for less than 30 seconds. I affectionately call these individuals the “skimmers”. They simply scroll down the page looking to see if anything extraordinary stands out and stops them in their tracks. Most times it doesn’t and they are gone.
Then you have the small percentage that actually thinks your banner ad is perfect. They have a little time on their hands to read and comprehend what you are selling. They read your website and allow it to convince them to buy.

So what you end up with is 80 to 90 percent of the individuals that actually make it to your website via the banner ad that you paid for don’t provide you a legitimate opportunity to sell your product. That 2 percent doesn’t look so good now. Does it?

Lets get something straight. Explanations of products and services are sometimes lengthy and time consuming to read but the text of a website is often the convincer in the selling process. You can have the greatest sales pitch in the world on your website but if no one truly reads and comprehends it, your low sales figures will reflect it. Are you beginning to see the true source of your advertising frustration?

The Solution:

The solution to the problem of low click-through totals and poor sales totals is to change the way you advertise. Stop focusing so much on click-thoughs and start cherishing read-throughs.
Remember, it is your text that convinces visitors to buy. So, you need to give visitors incentive to read what you have written and ensure that what you have written is powerfully sharpened and takes advantage of the opportunity the visitor gives you.

Advertising in online games is the answer. One of the hottest places for your banner ad is sites like TypoBounty.com.
Using low cost subliminal advertising and unbelievable amount of website services like that available on http://www.TypoBounty.com can make all of the difference, raising the number of quality visitors that will read your entire sales pitch and give you a legitimate chance to sell them on your product. More visitors come, more visitors stay longer, more visitors read all website content giving unprecedented opportunities to make sells.

--
The author, John Reed, has 15 years business marketing experience and has had the opportunity to use and review multiple online businesses and strategies.
I don’t intend to make this article a long one. It really doesn’t take long to express to you the reason why advertising doesn’t have to be the money drain that it has always been.
OK, lets get to work. Look. If you are a small player in the advertising game, you need to use your money wisely.

Face the fact that you can’t compete on the financial level of the larger organizations in the advertising game. Trying to do so will result in frustration and loss of good money that could be put to better use at this stage of the game.
I guess you may be wondering what I mean by small player and large player. Well let me see if I can add a little clarity. If you must watch your advertising budget closely to avoid cutting into your household budget, you are a small player when it comes to advertising. If the thought of spending 500 bucks to put your banner on a website, for a week or two, you are a small player.

There is nothing wrong with being a small player. The problem comes when due to pride and for lack of better terms “ignorance”, a small player refuses to recognize his/her status as it relates to competing with larger, better-funded competitors.

Larger players are able to spend thousands and millions of dollars per month to be in the hottest spots on the Internet.
Advertising is basically a gamble and a numbers game. You never know what will pay off and what will be counted as a loss. Much like those individuals that go to Las Vegas and loose more money than they can afford. It is plain lunacy to take a budget that is better geared for keeping the lights on at one’s home and sitting at the big boys advertising table.

Loosing 500 dollars 100 times per month is nothing to a major corporation. They won’t feel it. However, when your budget is small, taking a 500 dollar hit once, can devastate not only the present financial situation of the small business, but such a loss can ripple through the organization for months, as the owner tries to recoup financially.

Listen, only sit at the big boys table, when, and only when, you can afford it. You will save yourself a lot of frustration and succeed a lot faster than if you ignore this suggestion.

Some think that it is best to play it all on a roll of the dice. I disagree. The internet is a great tool but it has proven to be a very cruel mistress when its power is misused or misunderstood. For every success that occurred due to a single roll of the dice mentality, there are thousands that lost their shirts. Calm down and think before you leap.

I know that you want to succeed and you will if you humbly conquer the small battles before risking your hard earned cash in advertising arenas where you are at a disadvantage. Hone your skills at advertising on websites that look to give you more in order to attract you, not those websites that treat your small dollar as a nuisance, not to be tolerated.
One website that I have found presents an amazing advertising opportunity and so much more to small budget websites, is TypoBounty dot com. These guys provide an avenue for small players to advertise and perfect their website for less money than you spend buying a burger.

As a small advertiser, you owe it to yourself to get the benefits that this site brings to what you are trying to accomplish with your website. Don’t take my word for it, read all about what TypoBounty dot com offers to small budget websites and see why they can help you reach your goals faster.

Remember, your goal should not be to pay for advertising. It should be to get your website noticed for as little money as possible. That is the attitude that will allow you to grow large enough to one day sit at the big boys table and look them squarely in the eye.

--
The author, John Reed, has 15 years business marketing experience and has had the opportunity to use and review multiple online businesses and strategies. Using a popular search engine, we found that if you misspell the word “receive” as “recieve” in a popular search engine and search it. You find that the misspelled word “recieve” is found on 14,800,000 web pages. If you make it past tense by adding “ed”, you see an additional 15,300,000 web pages are found. If you add the suffix “ing” to get “recieving” you find an additional 2,990,000 web pages with that flaw. If you add the suffix “er” you are given an additional 224,000 web pages with errors. If each of the site owners were told by you of TypoBounty.com and offered a $2.00 bounty on the errors on their website, that would total $66,628,000 that is up for grabs, for paying your bills.
It’s time that someone does straight talk about making a website successful and I am going to try and to that today. Hold on to your socks and pay attention because if you get this you’ve got it.

OK, lets get started.
We all know about people out there claiming they can help make your website a success. There are the “marketing” experts that say you have to focus on keywords and optimize your website for those keywords. However, what they don’t say is that a half million people are using the same tactic for the same keyword and if you use that key word in search engine marketing campaigns, the price of getting noticed goes up substantially.
Now, I’m no math genius, but if a half million people are trying the same tactic for the same keyword, and only 10 listings can be at the top of a search engine listing, I estimate that there are going to be a lot of people left frustrated with the results of their hard work and marketing expenditures. Putting in money, time and work and getting very little benefit is difficult to swallow and discouraging.

Sure, the search engines tend to juggle the listings around now and then. But for the most part, the amount of work done doesn’t yield the desired result for most. Website owner’s start to feel like they are all alone and that no one cares about their website and what they are trying to accomplish. Am I right so far?

Truth be told, it’s true. No one cares. That is the whole reason that marketing is necessary. They don’t care about your website or product. What they care about most is the problem they have in their life. It doesn’t have to be a dramatic problem like a police officer banging on their door after finding out they have done something illegal. It can be something as simple as a clogged sink. But the fact is that you need to look for their problem and cater to solving it. Making yourself useful however isn’t as simple as that. Sometimes they don’t know they have a problem or they aren’t bothered by the problem enough to search out a solution. That is where you come in. You should always inform the user of the problem before attempting to sell them anything. The reason for this is that if they are aware of the problem, you have identified with them and they have identified with your website. If they weren’t previously aware of the problem, they get educated about it and the first solution they know for what bothers them is what you are selling.

Now that we have covered that, we can get to the meat of what this article is about. If you are looking for the same old marketing rhetoric and cliché-laden commentary you are in the wrong place. If you are looking to make your website a success, keep reading. I’m not pulling any punches today.

OK, have you ever heard the term “click through”? Sure you have. So-called marketing experts have bombarded website owners with this term for years. In many cases, website owners adopt terminology that they hear without properly processing it’s meaning or benefit. Click thoughs should not be the standard by which you measure your website’s performance. So, stop it right now. Remember the statement that no one cares about your website? You have to make them care. You should change your standard of measurement to Read-Throughs. (I’ll show you how to get read - throughs further on) Click Thoughs and Read Throughs are not the same thing.
You can easily have a million click throughs and still not make one sell. However, it is highly unlikely that you can have a million read throughs and not make a sell.

Why is this you ask? A click through is a very non-committal thing. If you will check your website logs you will find that many click thoughs last only 5 seconds or less. In these instances, what have you gained from the transaction? What can you explain in 5 seconds? Not much. If you don’t get the opportunity to explain why your site or product is so great or why they need to consider your site as one of their online hangouts to be revisited, what have you gained? You gain nothing but frustration as you consistently watch your goals go unmet.

Remember, the statement no one cares about your website. Again, it remains true. However, Read Thoughs have the power to change the whole equation. Irrespective of why a person arrives at your website, if you get a read though, you have the powerful opportunity to shape their thinking. Think I am kidding? Consider this.

I was recently in the market for a new cell phone. Being a businessman and having heard glowing reports about the Black Berry phone I went to buy the phone at a store. When I got there, I was fascinated with the sleek lightweight device I had heard so much about. I talked to a sales person and noticed that he had a black berry on his hip. The manager came over, and guess what? He had a black berry on his hip as well. I thought wow; those phones must be the very best. Now here comes the shocker. As I spoke with them about all that I wanted to do with the phone. They began to explain to me that the BB could not create Word documents, PowerPoint documents and Excel spread sheets, it could only view them if someone sent you one. He explained to me that if I wanted to have that type of in-depth use of the phone, I needed to go with the ATT Tilt cell phone which I had barely heard anything about. I asked why they carried a BB and I got two answers “I don’t know” and “I just like it”. That wasn’t enough for me. I bought the Tilt and I love it.

Millions of dollars went into the advertising of the Black Berry; I saw examples of people using it and these were people that had the choice of carrying any phone they wanted. Yet, when they conveyed to me the benefits of the ATT Tilt my mind was changed. I made the purchase and haven’t looked back.

I said all of that to say this. Your website is your 24 hour convincer. It should be designed and written to capture the curious and lead them to a purchase. However, without true communication, the ability to do that is lost. A click through is the equivalent of getting the customer through the door. A read through is getting the customer through the door and speaking with him about why your product is so great and why he/she needs it.
I was in the market for a particular product and because of communicated benefits, I ended up buying a totally different product which cost $40 more.

Your competition is the BB. Whether your product is the best or not is debatable but as you can see, it is often enough just to get the potential buyer to know more about your product than the competitions. I had heard about the BB I was ready to buy. I later heard about the Tilt and the sale was made. I submit to you that the more one learns about a product and how it fits their need or problem, the more likely they are to buy it. Or the more a person learns about a website and how it meets their need, the more likely they are to revisit it over and over again. Look in your own bookmarks, and you will find website’s that truly communicated with you. What percentage of websites that you have visited got placed in your bookmarks? A very small percentage I’m sure. The ones in your bookmarks provided something that you needed or wanted and the only way they could have shown you that is by true communication/Read Through.

OK, how do you convert your click throughs to read throughs? It is quite simple actually. You have to make your potential visitors care enough about your text to read every word of it.
To do this you simply use a tactic called error marketing. Error marketing is the method of drawing web surfer’s to your web properties by offering a small monetary reward to them for help in locating certain types of errors on your website. You can do this really easily by listing your website on low cost advertising websites like TypoBounty dot com.
Web surfers come to your website and read every word offered on your website for an opportunity to find an error. That’s how you make them care about your text. In the mean time they read more of what you have to offer and consider your entire sales pitch. The best part is that because they spend more time on your website, reading every word, they remember your website and products. This increases the likelihood of increased product sells.
The benefit of advertising for less than 10 dollars and causing web surfers to catch the full impact of your sales pitch as they read everything you have to offer, while perfecting your website simultaneously is invaluable to website owners.

Make them care about your text and let your text convince them to buy. Using Error Marketing techniques through sites like TypoBounty dot com accomplishes this. You basically put your website’s success on auto-pilot.

--
The author, John Reed, has 15 years business marketing experience and has had the opportunity to use and review multiple online businesses and strategies.
