Nutritional typing is a new trend of losing weight and the best way to achieve optimal health. With the use of nutritional typing analysis, you can determine your nutritional type and you will find out why you are not losing weight even if you tried different types of weight loss programs.

One of the basic principles of Nutritional Typing is that protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals, which are transported by the blood, are best absorbed and utilized by the cells in your body at the ideal blood pH level of 7.46. The second principle of Nutritional Typing is that any nutrient can be acidifying or alkalizing, stimulating or inhibiting, depending on your nutritional type.
Nutritional typing is not just a weight loss program; it is also appropriate for every chronic health disorder. Nutritional typing relies on your unique body metabolism, that’s why you need to know your nutritional type.

Nutritional Type – Why you need to know?
Nutritional type is the most important thing to know in nutritional typing. This determines your specific nutritional requirements. There are three major nutritional types; the protein type, carb type, and the mixed type. It is important for each type to eat their primary food first.
Protein types have strong appetite and they like those fatty and salty foods. Carb types need small amount of protein on their diet because too much protein can make them feel irritable. Mixed types usually have variable appetite and minimal cravings for sweets.

One Man’s Food is Another Man’s Poison
Have you ever asked yourself why other people who try a certain type of diet can be successful in their diet plan while you cannot? They can be slim with a certain diet but you, no matter how hard you try, you cannot achieve your ideal weight and in fact you cannot lose weight.

The main reason here is that every one of us has our own unique metabolism. This means that every one of us has our own way of processing foods and nutrients in our body. One person’s diet may not work with another; for example, your own diet process can make you slim and healthy but it may not work with the other person. Without nutritional typing, there is no other way to know if a food is a medicine or poison for an individual.

--
Dr. Joseph Mercola is the founder of Mercola.com , one of the world's most visited and trusted health websites, and publisher of the FREE Mercola.com e-newsletter , -- your source of natural health information.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Cholesterol is a combination of steroid and alcohol known as sterol. This sterol is a lipid found in the cell membranes of all body tissues and transported in the blood plasma.
The term “bad cholesterol” also known as LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) is thought to have harmful effects in the body. And the “good cholesterol” HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) thought to have good effects.

What does your cholesterol level means?
In order to determine your cholesterol level, a blood sample must be taken and analyze it for your total cholesterol level. Your total cholesterol level can tell if you have high risk of cardiovascular disease and other diseases. Your test report will show your cholesterol levels in milligrams per deciliter of blood (mg/dL). There are also some factors to consider like your age, family history, high blood pressure, smoking and alcohol intake.
Desirable Level: Less than 200 mg/dl:
The desirable cholesterol level is less than 200 mg/dl. If your LDL and HDL are at the desirable level, this means that have no risk factors for heart disease.
Average – High Risk: 200-239 mg/dl:
If your total cholesterol is between 200-239 mg/dl, your doctor will evaluate your LDL and HDL and also the triglycerides. Depending on your bad cholesterol levels and other risk factors, you may also need medication. Consult your doctor before taking any medicine and also ask your doctor how often you should check your cholesterol level.
High Risk: 240 mg/dl and above:
If you have a cholesterol level of 240 mg/dl and above, you typically have twofold risk of coronary heart disease compared to those people who have desirable level. You may have to change your lifestyle and you should coordinate with your doctor for the prevention and treatment of possible coronary disease.

Too high cholesterol levels
If you have high cholesterol levels, you have a greater chance of getting heart disease and having a heart attack. We all know that heart attack is the top 1 cause of death of adult men and women in the United States.
Too much cholesterol in the blood causes hardening of the arteries. Since blood carries oxygen to the heart, slowing that flow can cause chest pain, and a blockage to part of the heart will cause a heart attack.
Most people do not know that they have high cholesterol level because there are no symptoms for high cholesterol. Lowering your cholesterol will reduce your risk of heart disease but too low cholesterol levels can give you higher risk of cancer. So it’s better to have cholesterol at the desirable level.

Too low cholesterol levels
If your cholesterol level got too low, you may have a risk of cancer. People who take statin drugs to lower their cholesterol may have a higher risk of cancer. This is according to a meta-analysis of over 41,000 patient records from statin trials. The analysis included records from patients taking statins such as Lipitor and Zocor, but did not include newer statins such as Crestor and Vytorin.
Past studies have found an increased risk of Parkinson’s disease among people with extra-low cholesterol. Meanwhile, statin drugs may cause damage to the liver and muscles.
It is important that we know out cholesterol levels for the sake of our health. Have your cholesterol levels checked every five years or as your doctor recommends.

--
Dr. Joseph Mercola is the founder of Mercola.com , one of the world's most visited and trusted health websites, and publisher of the FREE Mercola.com e-newsletter , -- your source of natural health information.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Infant Formula – An Alternative for Breast Milk

Infant formula is an artificial substitute for breast milk if the mother doesn’t prefer breast feeding. The decision to breastfeed or formula feed babies should be based on the mother’s comfort level with breastfeeding as well as their lifestyle. Some parents choose formula-feeding either because of personal preference or because medical conditions of either the mother or the infant make breastfeeding risky.

Besides breast milk, infant formula is the only other infant milk which the medical community considers nutritionally acceptable for infants under the age of one year. Cow's milk is not recommended because of its high protein and electrolyte (salt) content which may put a strain on an infant's immature kidneys. Evaporated milk, although perhaps easier to digest due to the processing of the protein, is still nutritionally inadequate.

The article Infant Formula Fortification Protocol advised that; soy milk, almond milk, or carrot juice are absolutely not acceptable substitutes for breast milk or even for formula. It is also advisable for breastfeeding moms to be much careful of what they eat because this can affect their baby and also their health. Breastfed mothers are advised to avoid foods that contain Trans fats and anything with hydrogenated or even partially hydrogenated oils.

Many scientists believe that non-breastfed infants suffer significantly from ear infection, intestinal and other bacterial infection. In addition, bottle feeding can be less successful than breastfeeding in promoting the natural bonding process of mother and child. Infant formulas, like other processed food products, are the subject of occasional reviews, usually due to bacterial or foreign object contamination. Since all infant formulas are regulated by Infant Formula Act, they are all nutritious, just make sure that you prepare the formula carefully and store them safely.

Keep in mind that there’s no perfect substitute for breast milk, its nature’s gift to mankind. Besides, research found that breastfed babies have lower rate of medical problems and most major medical and heath organizations recommend breastfeeding than formula feeding. Breastfeeding is particularly beneficial for premature babies and may also protect children against allergies, asthma, diabetes and sudden infant death syndrome. So still, breast milk is the perfect food for babies, but for mothers who are unable to breastfeed or who decide not to, infant formula is good enough as an alternative.

--
Dr. Joseph Mercola is the founder of Mercola.com , one of the world's most visited and trusted health websites, and publisher of the FREE Mercola.com e-newsletter , -- your source of natural health information.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Soy has become popular on health and nutrition magazines as a cure-all for women’s health, cancer prevention, and other problems. There are so many people who are consuming soy because they want to become healthy. But there are so many misconceptions that surround us. One of these is the belief that soy is healthy food. Well, the fact is, soy advertisements were just a matter of business and marketing rather than health stuff.

In Asian countries like Japan and China, soy is very popular. It also became popular in the U.S. There are many researches about the dangers of soy in the U.S. but why Asian countries still like soy?
On October 26, 1999, the FDA authorized the use of a health claim for soy protein. The regulations specify that 25 grams of soy proteins a day may reduce the risk of heart disease. The justification for this regulation is that Asians consume about 25 grams of soy proteins per day and they also have low rates of heart disease. The amount recommended by the FDA provides about 75 mg or more of isoflavones. A 1996 study found that consumption of isoflavones in Japan was considerably less, averaging about 10 mg per day. These are a class of organic compounds, which act as phytoestrogens in mammals and are also known as strong antioxidants. Isoflavones increase the incidence of epithelial hyperplasia; they can also cause goiter and hyperthyroidism. Phytoestrogens may actually promote cancer.
Soy in Infant Diets

The most serious problem with soy may be its use in infant formulas. Parents happen to use soy formula because of the belief that it is healthier than infant formula based on cow’s milk. And because of the fact that there are so many articles and advertisements written on health magazines saying that soy is universal health stuff, people were driven to try using soy.
Research discovered that babies who had received soy formula have a high risk to hypothyroidism. In addition, the anti-thyroid components in soy were the isoflavones that the industry promotes as a universal remedy for osteoporosis, heart disease and problems associated with menopause. Low thyroid function can contribute to osteoporosis, heart disease and problems associated with menopause.
Soy formula fed to premature babies caused an increase in digestive enzymes compared to milk-fed babies, indicating low digestibility of soy formula. Another study found that twice as many soy-fed children developed diabetes as those in a control group that was breast fed or received milk-based formula.
FDA's Soy Experts Speak Out Against Soy

"there is abundant evidence that some of the isoflavones found in soy, including genistein and equol, a metabolize of daidzen, demonstrate toxicity in estrogen sensitive tissues and in the thyroid. This is true for a number of species, including humans.

Additionally, isoflavones are inhibitors of the thyroid peroxidase which makes T3 and T4. Inhibition can be expected to generate thyroid abnormalities, including goiter and autoimmune thyroiditis. There exists a significant body of animal data that demonstrates goitrogenic and even carcinogenic effects of soy products. Moreover, there are significant reports of goitrogenic effects from soy consumption in human infants and adults."

Protest from researchers Daniel Doerge and Daniel Sheehan, two of the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) key experts on soy, to the FDA, protesting the health claims approved by the FDA on soy products.
While many claims have been made about the health benefits of these estrogen-like compounds, animal studies indicate that they are powerful endocrine disrupters that alter growth patterns and cause sterility. Toxicologists estimate that an infant exclusively fed soy formula receives the estrogenic equivalent of at least five birth control pills per day.
Concerns about the dangers of soy have prompted consumer groups in some countries like Canada to call for a ban on the sale of soy infant formula. They recommended the milk-based formula because it contains better protein, does not promote infant with anti-nutrients and female hormones. Still, breast feeding is best if the mother has consumed a healthy diet throughout her pregnancy and continues to do while nursing her baby. Mothers who are unable to do breast feeding can prepare formula based on whole milk.

--
Dr. Joseph Mercola is the founder of Mercola.com , one of the world's most visited and trusted health websites, and publisher of the FREE Mercola.com e-newsletter , -- your source of natural health information.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Facts about Luxurious Replica Watches

A replica watch is a watch made similar to that of the real brand ones, except, at a much lower cost. A real Rolex can go up to hundreds of thousands of dollars, but you can get a replica similar to that one, for only a few hundred dollars. This allows the normal everyday person to be able to look and feel classy, without having to actually spend such ridiculous amounts of money on it.
The reason why replica watches are so popular is because you can look classy and professional, yet not have to spend tens of thousands of dollars doing it. These watches look identical to the ones you will find at the jewelry store selling for prices most people would not be able to afford. Rolex replica watches, and other luxury watch replicas have become economical and most important of all a high quality substitution for original watches. Hence, it is very important to choose the right replica retailer that offers high quality products, warranty, and good customer service.

What is meant by automatic, chronograph, and quartz?
Automatic, or self-winding, means the watch has a self-winding mechanism which allows it to run on its own without batteries. The advantage is; batteries are not required. The disadvantage is; they should be serviced every few years to make sure they run smoothly.
Chronographs are the little dials (or 'clocks') which appear within the watches themselves and are always fully functional on our watches. They are normally used as stopwatch timers. Quartz means the watch runs on a battery. One disadvantage is, they normally have fewer markings and details than self-winding watches, and you have to change the battery every so often.
Why does automatic replica stop ticking and losing time?
When you first receive your automatic replica, you need to wind it for 3 minutes straight before wearing it. If you wear it everyday, it will continue to wind itself on your wrist when you move around and walk. If you stop wearing it for more than approximately 2 days, the watch will need to be reset, but will then automatically wind it once you start wearing it again. The disadvantage to this is pretty clear.
Your watch doesn't keep time if you don't wear it constantly. The advantages are that you don't ever have to replace a battery, the watch keeps great time when it's running, and most of all, and this type of movement is exactly what the originals use! If your Automatic is losing or gaining time in a 24 hour period the watch needs to be adjusted. All of our automatics have an adjustment screw on the movement just like the originals. Any local jeweler can service these watches.

To set time, you need to turn button in anti-clockwise direction if you have a screw-in lock watch. You need to softly pull the button out a little bit. The best way to do this is to use first and second finger and use finger knuckle as a lever in order to pull the button out with as little force as possible. You can feel a little "click"! Now you can set the time by turning it anti-clockwise. This would turn the minute-hour hands forward until you set the right time. When time is set, push the button back and turning the button clockwise for a few rounds.

--
Read more about Swiss Rolex Replica Watch for more information

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Infant Formula Fortification Protocol

A mother's breast milk is nature's perfect and complete food for babies and can't even come close to being reproduced. With so many substances known to be present in breast milk, but unable to be replicated in breast milk substitutes (formula), plus all of the as-yet unidentified constituent, it should come as no great surprise that children today are suffering from a vast myriad of illnesses and disorders.

The human brain is infinitely more sophisticated than the world's fastest computer, yet many people naively think that this wondrous organ can be perfectly constructed without any regard to the "raw materials" required. Building a properly functioning brain requires the right materials, just as building a computer would. Imagine trying to build a computer from scratch, without any microchips, or trying to build a house without any lumber, bricks, steel, or other materials.

However, while there is no way to create a formula equal to breast milk, there are steps that can be taken to improve somewhat upon the standard formulas that are available.

One of the nutritional areas that are woefully inadequate with formulas is in regards to their fatty acid content. With all of the anti-fat propaganda going on these days, most people don't realize the critical importance of fat, especially with infants. Not only is the quantity important, but the quality and breakdown of the types of fat supplied as well. After all, the brain is 60% lipid (fat). Of this fat, approximately 12 % is arachidonic acid (AA) and 17% is docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Many people have heard about the benefits and importance of the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, found primarily in fish. The importance of DHA in the infants' diet recently prompted many countries (not including the US) to allow formula producers to fortify their products with DHA, as well as AA. Currently, DHA/AA enhanced formulas are available, although not mandatory, throughout most of Europe. Unfortunately, this small step still does not provide infants the nutrients they desperately require, due to several problems.

First of all, the DHA added to the formulas, obtained from microalgae, is highly oxidized (approximately 30%). Additionally, DHA and AA are not the sole fat constituents of breast milk. Fortifying with them is a step in the right direction, but still leaves out plenty of important substances.

In an effort to help people provide their infants with the best possible nutrition, we often instruct mothers to "create" fortified formulas. But of course we insist that mothers breastfeed if at all possible or even obtain fresh breast milk from a lactating friend or relative, if they have adopted a baby, or can't breastfeed for some reason.

For the infant to remain as healthy as possible, he must obtain a proper balance of all the essential fats, which is difficult to impossible, especially when you are changing Mother Nature and trying to create a formula.

However, below is a basic fat fortification protocol, which attempts to come as close as possible to "the real thing":
•#Carlson's Cod Liver Oil - one cc per ten pounds of body weight
•#Organic egg yolk - 1 yolk daily added at four months of age
•#Organic cream ideally non-pasteurized and non-
•#Omega Nutrition pure sesame, walnut, safflower, sunflower, oils (rotate with above) - 1 teaspoon daily
•#One teaspoon high quality coconut oil. This oil needs to be heated to 76 degrees to become a liquid.

Supplemental oils like fish oils can't be added to bottles because they will adhere to the sides, so it is necessary to administer directly into the mouth. But base oils as safflower, sunflower and sesame can be blended into the formula.

It is important, if not breastfeeding, to use one of the commercially available formulas as a "base" from which to fortify the infant's diet. Although some people might be tempted to create their own homemade formula, I don't recommend this approach, as it is just too dangerous that something could be inadvertently left out or added in too great a quantity. A mistake could cost an infant his life.

Nutramagen or Alimentum can be used as a base infant formula and 'doctored up' with nutritional perks. Both of these formulas are acceptable in regard to the 'allergic' aspect, and are the ones usually used when children cannot tolerate anything. Of course, they are also the most expensive.
If your baby is premature, one additional area of fortification is in the area of free amino acids, most notably taurine. This nutrient is also critical for infant development and is found in human milk but not in cow's milk. Although many formulas add some taurine, it has been shown that formula-fed infants have lower levels of taurine in their blood than breastfed infants do, even when the formula has added taurine.

Contrary to the advice given by some, soy milk, almond milk, or carrot juice, even if organic and homemade, are most definitely NOT ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTES FOR BREAST MILK, or even for formula.

For those mothers who are breastfeeding, it is important to realize that the essential fatty acid content of her breast milk coincides with what she eats. Therefore, her diet is very important for the health of her baby. One of the most important things that a breastfed mother can do is to avoid foods containing trans fats, such as margarine and anything with hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils.

While one can't guarantee that taking the steps outlined above will completely eliminate problems such as ADD/ADHD and other behavioral problems, developmental problems, autism, visual difficulties, and others, I believe it is a strong possibility that it could help to reduce their incidence, although it is important to always remember that BREAST IS BEST.

--
Dr. Joseph Mercola is the founder of Mercola.com , one of the world's most visited and trusted health websites, and publisher of the FREE Mercola.com e-newsletter , -- your source of natural health information.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

You know that old paradox about bums not feeling well about themselves because they don't have a job? And then once they land a job, they still don't feel well precisely because they have a job. Well, it doesn't really take a genius to figure it out. Jobs can be stressful, but not every one of us is a millionaire. So whether we like it or not, we'll just have to put up with our jobs to keep us from going hungry. That is, until we hit the jackpot in the lottery.

But here's the thing. You CAN like your job. If you can't love it, at least learn to like it and see its bright side. Let's admit it, most jobs are crappy anyway, and this writer thinks that the only noble professions to have survived the twenty-first century are teacher, doctor, nurse, firefighter, janitor, dog-walker, and baker. (Of course, there are more), but the point here is that most jobs in this world are, um, well, just excuses for laptops and neckties; no offense.

So, if you happen to be stuck in that other category of not so-noble job, take heart. If you have a crappy job, that doesn't mean you should put in a crappy effort at it. Have healthy relationships with your workmates. And then do your job the best way possible.

Remember, it's just a job. Now, you just upload your résumé, at the click of the mouse. But when you think about the fact that hundreds of other hopeful job seekers are also taking advantage of the Internet, you can’t help but worry how your résumé is doing out there.

Make your résumé stand out then! When you apply for a job, you are basically marketing yourself, so you would want your résumé to present you in your best light. This doesn’t mean that you should pad or embellish your résumé with untrue details or non-existent achievements just to make it stand out. Companies do not appreciate liars. What you need is to keep your résumé as short and simple as possible. Employers sift through dozens of résumés everyday; they want to be able to see at a glance the important facts about you.

Of course, pay attention to spelling and punctuation. The tiniest typographical can be held against you. If at the start they see that you don’t bother with the details of your résumé, they’d assume you won’t with the details of your work either.

Also, stay away from too-stylish outlines for your résumé. If it’s a creative job you’re applying for, then it’s all right, but it’s still best to stick to something professional and not garish.

Finally, don’t send the same generic résumé to every company. A résumé tailored according to the requirements of the specific job you’re applying for will get you more chances of nailing that interview.

--
Neoli Lancel Marcos writes articles and press releases for Oz Free Online- this piece he made served as an article exclusive for Oz Free Online Jobs - which offers job search listing opportunities in Australia

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Looking for a job can feel like a job itself. It often takes time and effort because it’s really hard to find a job that matches your qualifications and desires. There are lots of considerations to take; you have to be patient and hardworking. Have some dedications on your job hunting and have a positive attitude.

Research and study your desired job. Although some companies provide training for their employees, it would be better if you really know the job. Remember that most employers are looking at your work experience. You must be competent enough so you can find the most appropriate job for you. You must also know the career path you are taking to be more successful.

Know What You Want
Before you apply for a certain job, you must ask yourself if you really like that job. You must enjoy what you are doing when it comes to your work. If you just force yourself to do something you do not like, that would be stressful and it can obviously affect your work. If you cannot find a job you want, for the meantime, you must at least learn to like the job you’re settling for.

Fortify your Resume
Dedicate time and exert effort on writing your resume; employers can have a snap judgment on your resume. If they see unrelated skills or job titles on your resume, there would be a great possibility that you may not get the job you are applying for. Another thing is that employers don’t have much time to read through each of your job descriptions. That’s why it always pays to refine your resume before you apply for a job.

Prepare for the Job Interview
A job interview is your chance to show the employers that you are the one they have been looking for. Prepare yourself, dress up suitably for the interview and be relaxed while answering questions. The best thing to do is research about the company. Your answers must always be related to the position you are applying for. Remember that there is no correct answer to any interview question. Be creative and spontaneous in your responses that will make you stand out among your rival-applicants. Every company has its own standards with regards to your answers. They want to determine if you can offer something to their goals.

Have a Positive Attitude
The more negative you are about your own capabilities, the less possibility for you to find a good job. Most employers are looking for positive people to be part of their team. Have self-confidence and know yourself more.

--
Joi Hernaez is a Search Engine Optimization Specialist and an Internet Marketer.
