Generating Traffic to Your Site

The onset of the Internet Age has compelled large corporations and small businesses alike to jump on the bandwagon and take full advantage of the financial benefits of an online presence. While it's true that the internet has been around for more than a decade now, it is only recently that companies have recognized the potential of internet marketing and advertising.

However, there have been companies that folded eventually because of the false notion that their mere presence on the web is enough to increase sales.

IT'S ALL IN THE SITE

The first thing you have to carefully study is what you want to convey to your niche market through your website. From your core focus stems out the look, the feel and the overall impact of your site. In addition, targeting the right and most profitable niche is paramount. When people use the internet, they are very specific in their search terms and expectations. Placing your website in front of the right people at the right time will ensure your success.

1. Touch on the aesthetic sense of your audience. Let's face it, the first thing a surfer will notice is not your tagline, it's the way your website looks. Is it pleasing to the eyes? Are the colors coordinated in such a way that anyone who looks at it will not get a headache or be repulsed taking in all the clashing colors? Is the text easy to read and do you funnel the users through your website in a way that will help them better understand what the website is about?

2. Content. Make your content in such a way that anyone who reads it will understand right away what you're trying to tell him. Make your tags catchy and informative. Be sure to write your tagline in a way that just by reading one sentence, the surfer will already have an idea what you're all about.

3. About Us. I know this is part of the content but emphasis should be given since without it, people aren't going to trust you. You have to tell them who you are, where you started, how you work and possibly, the entire team that promises to deliver.

4. Navigation. No matter how good your site looks and how you believe that people really need your products/services, they're not going to stick around to find out about it if you don't know how to lead them in the right direction without getting them confused. Have you tried navigating a site that lets you click on different links to get one question answered? Don't be like that to you site visitors. Providing good service is naturally first on your list; and remember to keep your navigation as simple as possible, your look pleasing to the eyes and your content informative.

5. Search Engine Optimization. Use search engines such as Google, Lycos and Yahoo to lead surfers to your site. There is a plethora of information about search optimization available on the internet and a few small changes to your site can mean the difference between 100 visitors a month and 10,000 visitors a month.

Regardless of what you are selling or what information you are providing, doing it in the correct manner will always put you a step ahead of your competition.

--
Joshua Watson is the author of Viatical Settlements, Positive Business Thinking and promotional product .
Building Bigger and Stronger Arms

Building Bigger and Stronger Arms

Big arms have been much sought after by many people who work out in the gym, and for good reason. For one, the arms are one of the most visible parts of the body. In fact, inferior arms are hard to hide, even with long sleeves shirts or polos. On the other hand, poorly built thighs can be hidden with loose pants, while an average chest can still be compensated by a "chest out" posture. A back lacking in development can also be hidden by looses shirts.

Fortunately, like the shoulder, the arms also get a good amount of workout when doing the traditional "compound" exercises of a weightlifting program. Let' make a rundown:
Bench-press and overhead presses work the triceps
Bent over rows give the biceps a workout.

Nonetheless, since the arms have larger, longer and more muscles than the shoulder, it can take direct workouts with the following exercises:
Curls - work the biceps.
Triceps extensions - work the triceps.

Other weight and bodyweight training exercises that work the arms are:
Close grip bench-press - works the triceps (as well as the middle of the chest).
Pull-ups -work the biceps (as well as the upper back)
Push-ups - work the triceps (as well as the chest).

When building or strengthening the arms, some trainees make the mistake of putting more emphasis on the development of the biceps. This may be due to the fact that bodybuilders who make the traditional bodybuilding pose (standing up with arms flexed hard) emphasize the size of the biceps.

What must be made known to trainees is the biceps are actually the smaller muscle of the arms, having two muscle components (that's why it is called biceps). The triceps actually are the larger part of the arms, because it has three muscle heads (that's why it is called triceps).

Likewise, it is large triceps that makes the arms look large when your arms are just "dangling" from your body. On the other hand, you have to curl your arms to emphasize the size of your biceps.

The triceps also has "martial" value, since it is one of the muscles that help generate punching power (aside from the shoulders, back and legs).

So the message is clear here: emphasize the development of the triceps as much as the biceps. Or you might even have to increase the volume of triceps training if your biceps looks "overdeveloped" compared to the triceps.

Although a well-rounded weight training program can help build big and strong arms, there may be a need to go into a "specialization" phase for the arms in case that body part is lagging behind in development (due to some reasons like genetics). Let's face it there are some people who can build their arms faster than us. But that is no reason to cry or despair.

In a specialization phase, the trainee increases the number and volume of exercises needed for a body part that is lagging behind, like the arms. The secret here is to lessen (or even drop) the other exercises that also work out that body part. In the case of the arms, reduce the volume you do for exercises like the bench-press, bent over rows, pull-ups and push-ups.

Then increase the volume you do for curls, triceps extension and add other exercises like partial curls (with a really heavy weight), triceps kick down (using a cable machine) and close grip bench presses. Since the biceps usually thrive on curls, vary your curls workout by using a dumbbell and barbell. Dumbbell presses also give the triceps a good workout, not to mention the shoulders.

You can also do supersets alternating between a triceps and biceps exercise. In a superset, two exercises are done immediately one after the other. Examples of supersets are: dumbbell curls-kick downs; close grip bench-press-barbell curls.

One thing good about training the arms under the specialization phase is you can really feel a "good burn" or "pump" after a grueling workout.

And once your arms reach the size and power you desire, there's no stopping you from wearing that sleeveless shirt or tank top.

--
Joshua Watson is the author of Promotional Branding Products, Make Money Online and Viatical Settlements .
This article is intended to explain how and why you need to start and use your own eBay store. After reading this article you should be able to easily understand the importance of having an eBay store and know how to set one up.

According to eBay, "over 75% of eBay store owners say that opening an eBay store has significantly increased their sales" (eBay, 2007). Quite simply, if you buy and sell on eBay, either as a hobby or full time job, you are falling behind if you don't have your own eBay store.

Of course eBay charges a nominal fee of $15.95 a month however, the tools as resources you get access to can more than justify the cost. In fact, many of the tools can be used to help your non-eBay store related sales!

Build Your Store: The entire process is done through an easy to use interface that allows you to customize your store with very little effort. You can categorize your products and manage your inventory, all with the click of a button. In addition your store design will assist in your branding efforts. eBay offers great customer assistance, should you run into any difficulties.

Control Sales: Another benefit to starting your own eBay store is having access to the eBay sales management tools. You can easily adjust prices on the fly and offer limited time only sales. It’s all about marketing your products and if you have an easy way to get new information to your customers, you will be one step ahead of the competition.

A Complete Package: In addition to the features listed above, an eBay store comes with a host of in-house marketing tools. Each tool is designed to help you drive traffic and increase your sales. Add that to the built in tracking system and you are looking at a set of resources that you would be crazy not to make use of.

There are a host of testimonials available on eBay to "entice" you into opening your own eBay store. Unlike most added features on other products, starting your own eBay store is actually a good idea and in the end you are only out 15 dollars. Opening your eBay store cannot hurt or decrease your sales in any way.

If you have not tried to have your own eBay store, it’s never too late to begin. The process is simple and user friendly. If you are serious about starting an eBay store, click on “Sellers,” then “Open a Store” once you are on your eBay home page. There are 8 basic steps in setting up your store:

1.	Choose a color theme.
2.	Click continue.
3.	Enter your store’s name
4.	Give a description of your store.
5.	Choose a few graphics to help the appearance of your store.
6.	Click Continue.
7.	Sign up for the basic store ($15.95 a month).
8.
