While there is no cure for acne, there are plenty of treatments and many ways to reduce the risk of an acne break out, here are some tips.

While you can’t 100% prevent an acne breakout, you can in many cases reduce the risk of a break out. In order to prevent an acne breakout, you should recognize how many acne breakouts occur.

Acne breakouts occur usually due to sebum which is oil in the pores of the skin becoming clogged and infected with P. Acnes bacteria. P. Acnes bacteria feed off of sebum and are usually the main cause of acne. You can help prevent acne breakouts by reducing the amount of sebum being created in the skin’s pores, unclogging pores and removing sebum and P. Acne bacteria from the skin.

Wash Your Face Twice Each Day

You should wash your face twice each day, once in the morning and once before going to bed. When washing your face, use warm water, a soft cloth and soap that is sensitive and won’t harm your skin. Some people use anti bacterial soap to better fight P. acnes bacteria.

Never Pop a Pimple Carelessly

If you have a pimple on your face, do not rub it or pop it carelessly. Popping a pimple can actually cause an acne breakout, because you are releasing sebum, P. acnes bacteria and other cellular material all over your face. Make sure you pop your pimple carefully and remove all the contents from the pimple so they do not stay on your face.

Consult with a Pharmacist or Dermatologist

Many people that suffer from acne should consult with their pharmacist or dermatologist to create a plan of action to reduce their acne breakouts. Most people need to experiment with different products before finding one that is right for their acne and skin type. Your dermatologist or pharmacist can help you find the right products that can not only help you fight your current acne, but also prevent a larger number of acne breakouts in the future.

--
For more information on how to prevent acne please visit Accutane and Acne

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

If you are suffering from acne, you should consider the many facial cleansers on the market.

Facial cleansers are usually broken down into two major categories, over the counter products, which are available without a prescription at most drug stores and facial cleansers that include medication that require a prescription from your dermatologist.

Over the counter facial cleansers is a great place to start, especially if your acne is slight to moderate. One of the most effective types of facial cleansing products are those that include active ingredients such as Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide gently dries the skin out and kills P. acne bacteria. One of the products that feature Benzoyl Peroxide as its active ingredients is Oxy.

Salicylic acid is also another type of over the counter facial cleanser that can help remove sebum and kill P. acne bacteria. Many people may be aware of the brand Stridex, which makes small facial pads to clean and clear away sebum and bacteria.

Besides these two highly effective acne facial cleansers, you can also reduce your acne breakouts by washing your face daily with warm water and a soft cloth using anti bacterial soaps. There are plenty of soaps on the market that will help unclog pores and kill bacteria that are present on your face. One brand is Dial.

Regarding facial cleansers that require a prescription, there are many products that include antibiotics, as well as acids that dry out the face, removing sebum and killing bacteria. You should consult with your dermatologist on products that are right for you skin type and level of acne breakouts. Many prescription facial cleansers can be too strong for certain types of skin types that are especially sensitive. Usually, you will need to experiment with a few types of products before finding the right product that fits your skin and acne breakout level the best.

--
For more information on how to prevent acne please visit Accutane and Acne

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Acne affects millions of people each year. There are many types of acne, but the most common type is called Acne Vulgaris. Mild to moderate types of Acne Vulgaris include whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, and papules. Serious forms of Acne Vulgaris include nodules and cysts.

Whiteheads

Whiteheads are pimples that have a white head or tip to them. The whitehead forms on the face when a pore is completely blocked with sebum (oil), cellular material and P. acnes bacteria.

Blackheads

Blackheads are similar to whiteheads, except that the pimple is only partially blocked. The black material is not dirt as some believe, but melanin (pigment of the skin). Blackheads may last a long time on the face, because they take time to drain.

Pustules

Pustules are commonly referred to as zits. They have a white head in the middle and red enflamed skin surrounding it. Pustules are usually infected with bacteria and can also be yellow or green at the head.

Papules

Papules are skin lesions or pimples that do not have a head. They are simply red in color. Be careful with papules, as squeezing them can cause scarring.

Nodules

Nodules are usually referred to as severe forms of Acne Vulgaris. A nodule is a thick lesion that is usually underneath the skin’s surface. They can cause scarring and be extremely uncomfortable. Many times nodules can take several months to heal. You should never try to pop a nodule. If you notice nodules under your skin, you should seek the advice and treatment from a dermatologist.

Cysts

Cysts are similar to a nodule, but are filled with infected pus. Cysts are usually 5mm or more in size and can sometimes be painful. You should never squeeze a cyst, since you can cause and internal infection. If you notice you have a cyst, you should consult with your dermatologist.

--
For more information on the different types of acne and acne treatments please visit http://www.accutaneandacne.com

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Accutane is a medication that is prescribed by a physician for serious types of acne. Accutane is extremely effective at fighting serious forms of acne, because it targets the main causes of acne; that being sebum production pores becoming clogged with sebum and killing the P. acnes bacteria that infects the skin causing pimples.

Accutane is the trade name for the drug name Isotretinoin. There are many different names used for this medicine, however Accutane is most popular name used in the USA for this medication. Since Accutane is a commercial product, you can also use the generic form of Isotretinoin called Claravis.

Accutane treatment usually lasts from two to six months and usually includes a treatment of .50 to 200 mg per day. Usually an Accutane treatment can cost $150 to over $200 per month. The more mg. per day of Accutane usually the higher the cost. It should be noted that most health insurance companies do not reimburse or pay for Accutane. It most cases health insurance companies consider Accutane a cosmetic medication, however if you require Accutane to fight cysts or nodules, many health insurance companies will cover you due to the fact they don’t consider this use to be cosmetic in practice.

Because there are many side effects associated with Accutane, in order to receive a prescription, you will need to sign up with the FDA program called iPledge. iPledge was mainly started to prevent pregnant women on Accutane from having children with birth defects. Besides signing up for iPledge, females that would like to receive an Accutane prescription must take two pregnancy exams, both showing negative and continue to take a pregnancy exam each month while taking the medication. In addition, women who are sexually active must either abstain from sex or use two forms of birth control.

While there are serious side effects, for those that suffer from serious forms of acne, Accutane (Isotretinoin) is one of the only practical ways to rid the face of acne breakouts.

--
For more information on accutane and other acne treatments please visit http://www.accutaneandacne.com

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Also known as conflict diamonds, A Blood Diamond is a diamond that was mined in a war zone that is sold most of the time to benefit war-torn areas especially in Central and Western Africa. United Nations defines a blood diamond as "...diamonds that originate from areas controlled by forces or factions opposed to legitimate and internationally recognized governments, and are used to fund military action in opposition to those governments, or in contravention of the decisions of the Security Council.”

Blood diamonds are mined on war sites, where many men where killed. Many people are trying to stop the sale of blood diamonds. Blood Diamond sales became big in the 1990's with the conflict of Sierra Leone. During this time frame in the 1990's the blood diamond sales made up an estimated 4% of all diamond sales around the world. Today due to sales being banned in some areas, and the Kimberley Process, these diamonds take up around an estimated 1% of the worlds diamond sales. This majority of this small percentage is made up of sales in the Republic of Congo who was suspended from the Kimberley Process, and Liberia and the Ivory coast who are under the United Nations Security Council Resolutions in hopes to stop the extraction and trading of these diamonds.

During July of 2000, the global diamond industry made their disposition of blood diamonds blatantly known all over the world. Highly concerned with abolishing the problem, they began to work very closely with the United Nations and other organizations in efforts stop the extraction and trading of blood diamonds. In 2003 in order to get closer to stopping sales and extraction of the diamonds, the Kimberley Process Certification was created. This system protects against blood diamonds entering the sanctioned diamond supply chain.

--
For more information on blood diamond and diamond mines please visit The Diamond Blog

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

You would be surprised how many people do not know anything about the different cuts of diamonds that are out there, and the benefits of each. Most people if you ask what kind of diamond will give you a color and shape, not knowing it is much more than that. Here we are going to look at the various cuts of diamonds, which ones are most popular, and the terms used to describe them.
The most common cut for a diamond engagement ring is a round cut. However, there are more than one type of round cuts. The number one ranking round cut is called a Brilliant cut, but a brilliant cut is only one out of the three main round cuts. A brilliant cut is known best for its many faces, most commonly seen in shapes like triangles and kites. The most spectacular thing about this diamond is that the faces (or facets) are all pointed outwards, which greatly enhances the way the light radiates through the diamond itself.
A step cut, has four-sided facets that are cut beneath the table of the diamond. The table, is the flat edge cut at the top of a diamond. The four facets are parallel to the diamonds girdle. Where the top or the crown of the diamond and the bottom or the pavilion of the diamond meet. In other words, it's the point in between the coned and and the top of the diamond that is visible from an aerial view. There are less facets in this diamond than in a brilliant cut diamond.
An emerald cut is the same type of cut as a step cut, only with the corners removed. They are mostly rectangular shaped but size varies, they can be anything from a lean thin rectangle to a wide bulk square. A mixed cut diamond is cut with techniques from both a step and a brilliant cut. A mixed cut diamond is cut with techniques from both a step and a brilliant cut and are most popular in colored gems.

Please visit http://www.buyingaloosediamond.com for additional information on different diamond cuts.

--
Kevin Chang has been in the jewelry for industry for over 15 years.
Engagement Ring Advice For The Groom To Be

Although the best way to get your sweetheart a diamond engagement ring she will love, is to let her pick one herself, most guys find it harder to propose this way. However, sometimes it takes the trying on of many rings before she finds the one that makes her feel perfect in her own way, which after all, is part of the point, isn't it? Its not a bad idea to pick it out though, and chances are if you put effort into it you can get one that she would love the same as if she picked it out, if not more! But if you aren't letting her pick her own ring you must keep in mind while you are doing your shopping that she will have to wear and look at this ring every day for many years to come. You want the ring you buy her to be something that you know she will love and appreciate and the amount of effort you put into choosing one shows in the ring and the results.
First thing's first, Pay attention to what she likes! If you plan on marrying this woman it will definitely come in handy knowing her jewelery likes and dislikes. There are more than one ways to do this, a good way, without saying to much is watching what she wears. If she's the type of girl who always wears accessories with her outfits, you should start to develop a sense of what she has a taste for. If she's not that kind of girl, Don't fear! There are other options. Next time you're flipping through a magazine or watching a movie, ask her opinion on the jewelry some other women are wearing, this way you should get an idea of her opinions. Watch carefully for her styles like does she wear bold jewelery, classic or vintage? This will give you some good information to point out to the sales representative while you're shopping.
Also consider what will look most flattering on her hands. Would she prefer a cluster of gems, or a solitaire diamond sitting alone on a plan wedding band? What colors does she look best in? Another important thing to factor in is her lifestyle. You need to ask yourself things like, Will a big bulky ring get in her way at work? Does she need something small and professional looking? There are also fancy extras to think about, what shape does she want? A round or a square, or maybe something more unique like a heart. Maybe you should think about getting it engraved. Over time, if you pay attention you will be able to answer most of these questions, if you're still unsure, swear a family member to secrecy and ask their opinion, you'll most likely need to contact one of them for her size anyway. So Don't worry, think about these things, ask for peoples advice, and most importantly, think long and hard about what kind of ring to get your partner.

--
Kevin Chang has been in the jewelry for industry for over 15 years.
Most people will agree that a diamond says a thousand words. Most guys however, have no idea where to even begin when buying a diamond engagement ring, there are just so many stresses involved! Will she like it? What if she thinks its too cheap? What will look best on her hand? What will her friends think? Well, choosing a diamond is a little like choosing an outfit, you want to find something nice, affordable, well fitting, and appealing. Hopefully you will be more prepared after reading what I've come up with.
If you start your quest for an engagement ring unprepared for all the turns it can take, you may as well scream disaster now. There are many things to consider when purchasing an engagement ring. One thing to remember is that this ring is not for you, it is for your finance to cherish for years to come so you will want something suitable for your partner.
One term that will pop up all over the place when you're searching for your engagement ring is ideal cut. When you hear this term it basically means that this diamond was cut specifically to highlight the diamond's positives and make the negatives less prominent, even if it took more work and money to do so.
More people than you would think Don't know the differences between diamond cuts. A diamond's shape or cut is also an important aspect to your shopping. The most popular shape for wedding rings these days are round cut diamonds, but they also come in square or rectangle cuts, oval cuts, pear shaped cuts, and heart shape cuts. Of the round diamonds the most well known and best one to buy is the brilliant cut, but we'll have to touch base more on the different types of cuts another time. The main thing you need to know is that the reason brilliant cuts are so popular are because of their many faces.
The main things to know about finding the perfect ring for your sweet heart is one, know your information. There is nothing worse then going shopping for something all day, and coming home empty handed. Do your research and have a budget. Know a rough estimate of how much each kind of ring costs and how much you can spend. Get your partners ring size, one of the most common mistakes a groom to be can make is getting the wrong ring size. Ask a family member or snag one of her other rings (preferably one she doesn't wear often but you know fits her) and find out her ring size. Most importantly, buy from your heart. A diamond is only worth as much as the feelings behind it, and when in doubt, ask a sales representative they can be pretty helpful.

--
Kevin Chang has been in the jewelry for industry for over 15 years.
When De Beers first started actively mining in the late 1800's, they had heavy competition. By forming the De Beers cartel, they were able to control the release of diamonds into circulation. De Beers began to use the controlled scarcity of its diamonds as the center of its advertising campaigns.
De Beers has been extremely successful in its marketing strategies. The center of their marketing strategy is linking diamonds with long term romantic love. Engagement rings have been present in many cultures since the 1400's, but they typically did not contain diamonds. De Beers is considered to be responsible for making the diamond engagement ring the standard in the United States and elsewhere. They also have used their own marketing skills to establish a standard amount that future grooms should spend on a diamond ring. It is typically considered socially correct for a man to spend the equivalent of one to two months salary on the diamond ring he purchases. De Beers even includes this spending guideline on their website.
The De Beers slogan, "A diamond is forever" has continued to be one of the most successful catch phrases in advertising history. De Beers worked diligently to connect their diamond rings with the idea of everlasting love. The slogan is also intended to establish the idea that a diamond is something that should be kept by the recipient and not resold. De Beers hopes this will encourage the purchase of new diamonds rather than purchases through the secondary market.
Because of De Beers, the diamond has continued to increase in value as people around the world make a connection between purchasing a diamond and their long term love relationships.

--
Kevin Chang is has been in the jewelry business for 15 years.
