Jealousy typically refers to the feelings, thoughts and behaviors that occur when a person believes that a valued relationship is being threatened by a rival. The word jealousy comes from the French jalousie, formed from jaloux. Feelings of jealousy always appear to stem from one's sense that something about their life is not secure e.g., in danger or is uncertain. Jealousy is the eruption of attachment and it can be transcended only through awareness. As we move with awareness into the center of this phenomenon, we pass through ungrounded expectations and beliefs, projections and delusions, guilt, envy, the loss of self-esteem, and the threat to security. The core is an existential problem and it has to do with illusion and the effectively fearful nature of the ego. When we come to know and accept the nothingness at the core, jealousy and the pain of fanatical attachment cease.

Jealousy is a common experience in human relationships and it has been reported in every culture and in many forms where researchers have looked .It has been observed in infants as young as 5 to 6 months old and in adults over 65 years old. The complexity of jealousy allows people to describe it in different ways. Definitions of jealousy normally share basic themes. These shared themes indicate jealousy is a meaningful concept and it can also be distinguished from concepts such as envy. In simple terms, jealousy is a feeling of protective resentment towards one who threatens a value or relationship.

People who have experienced pathological jealousy and for whom jealousy triggers violence may advantage from professional counseling. People who experience usual jealousy have at least nine strategies for coping with jealousy. The problem-solving strategies include: improving the primary relationship, interfering with the rival relationship, self-assessment and demanding commitment. The emotion-focused strategies include: derogation of partner or rival, denial/avoidance, developing alternatives, support/catharsis, and appraisal challenge. These strategies are related to emotion regulation, cognitive change, conflict management, and ground rules for managing jealous competition. The most important thing to do about any feelings of jealousy is to first confess them, and then attempt to overcome them.

While mainstream psychology considers sexual arousal through jealousy a paraphilia (categorized as zelophilia), some authors on sexuality (Serge Kreutz, Instrumental Jealousy) have argued that jealousy in manageable dimensions can have a definite positive effect on sexual satisfaction and sexual function. Jealousy sometimes heightens passion towards partners and increases the strength of passionate sex. Jealousy varies across cultures, cultural learning can manipulate the situations that trigger jealousy and the manner in which jealousy is expressed and attitudes toward jealousy can also change within a culture over time. Jealousy is the powerful complex of emotions experienced at the loss, real or imagined, of someone or something you believe is yours, whereas envy concerns what you do not have and would like to possess Jealousy in religion examines how the scriptures and teachings of different religions deal with the topic of jealousy. Religions may be compared and contrasted on how they deal with two issues: rules and concepts of divine jealousy about the aggravation and expression of human jealousy.

--
Michael Teo is an expert on the Human Psychology and Behavior.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

An individual’s personality is an aggregate conglomeration of decisions we have made throughout our lives. There are inherent natural, genetic, and environmental factors, which contribute to the development of our personality in the pursuit of a more defined person, many individuals enroll in courses offered in colleges to further or enhance the image they intend to project to others. These classes help in identifying your conscious traits and contrasting them with what you intend to exhibit. Hereditary factors that contribute to personality development do so as a result of interactions with the specific social environment in which people live. In other words, personality is the sum total of what a person is - behaviors, thoughts and feelings- that endure throughout life.

Personality Development Concepts

Drives: The two basic drives- sex and aggression- motivate all our thoughts and behaviors. They are referred as eros (love) and Thanatos. Eros represents the life instinct where sex being the major driving force. Thanatos represents the death instinct; this allowed the human race to procreate, whilst at the same time eliminating our enemies.

The structure of personality: It is believed that the mind as only having a fixed amount of psychic energy (libido). The outcome of the dynamic interaction between the id, ego and the superego determines our adult personality.

The tripartite personality: Personality has three basic things - the id, ego, and superego- referring to this as the tripartite personality. The id allows us to get our basic wants met. It is believed that the id is based on the pleasure principles ie it wants immediate satisfaction, with no consideration for the reality of the condition. As the child interacts more with the world, the ego begins to develop. The ego's job is to meet the needs of the id, while taking into account the constraints of reality. The ego acknowledges that being impulsive or selfish can sometimes hurt us, so the id must be constrained. The superego develops during the phallic stage consequent to the moral constraints placed on us by our parents.

Defense Mechanisms: The ego has a very difficult time trying to satisfy both the needs of id and the superego and so, it employs defense mechanisms. Repression is the most powerful of these. Repression is the act by which unacceptable id impulses are "pushed" out of awareness and into the unconscious mind.

Psychosexual Stages: It is believed that at particular points in the child’s development, a single part of the body is particularly sensitive to sexual stimulation. These erogenous zones are the mouth, anus and the genital region. At any given time, the child's libido is focused on the primary erogenous zone for that age. As a result the child has certain needs and demands that are related to the erogenous zones for that stage. Frustration occurs if these needs are not met, but, a child may also become overindulged, and so may be unwilling to progress beyond the stage. Both frustration and overindulgence may lead to fixation- some of the child’s libido remains locked into that particular stage. If a child is fixated at a particular stage, the method of obtaining satisfaction that characterized that stage will dominate his adult personality.

--
Michael Teo is an expert on the Human Psychology and Behavior.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

In today’s competitive world everybody wants to look better and smarter than others so for that, they can get a total makeover for themselves. In this process sunglasses play a major role. At the moment, stylish and protective sunglasses are important fashion statements. If we go back a few years, earlier sunglasses were only used as fashion accessories but now they have become useful, by protecting our eyes from harmful UV rays. Many of the retailers have started purchasing bulk stocks of sunglasses from wholesalers. Some people know that wholesale sunglasses are less expensive than what is available in the retail market. Usually, wholesalers purchase an array of sunglasses of various brands and styles in bulk, and then they sell them to retailers. Basically, wholesalers act as middlemen between the actual shopkeepers and manufacturers who sell sunglasses. In short, a wholesaler’s basic role is to guide shopkeepers and retailers regarding brands and fashions prevailing in the market.

Wholesale sunglasses are available for all genders and age. Now days, most sunglasses are unisex so that anyone can wear them, whether they are male or female. You also get the chance to shop around, or see the latest trendy sunglasses worn by celebrities or models. But what should be kept in mind is that when purchasing wholesale sunglasses you should check the quality, not just the price. Always make sure that you purchase sunglasses with a quality perfect frame and lenses. Plastic lenses give maximum durability. Wholesalers stock products and sell them to retailers in large quantities, who then sell them to consumers. Retailers purchase products from wholesalers at discounts and sell them to consumers at a profit. Every company has their own fixed wholesalers. It is always cheaper to purchase sunglasses from wholesalers directly than from retailers. It makes a variation in the prices, as the retailer profit gets deducted. But for big name brands, buying from a wholesaler or a retailer doesn’t make much of a difference.

The yellow pages list the names of wholesalers in each area throughout the country. One can even find out their location through the Internet as well. But these wholesalers are cautious of selling sunglasses to consumers, as they are contractually bound to their retailers. Wholesalers won’t sell a single pair of sunglasses to a person if they realize that the buyer is a mere consumer who has come to save a few dollars. Some sunglasses wholesalers have a surplus of goods in their warehouses, but no retailers to sell them to. Such wholesalers invite retailers via the Internet. People with capitalist skills but no finance for investment accept such invitations and retail the excess sunglasses from the wholesalers. Buying sunglasses wholesale is not a bad idea and also we can save money. The buyer can be more assured of the quality of the product and discount in price since the middleman is cut out, the only catch is that a person must have a fairly good contact with some wholesalers. Picking up a dozen or so sunglasses from a wholesaler is also sensible, provided one manages to sell them off to friends and family to make the money back.

--
Kirk Bachelder is the President of CTS Wholesale LLC. which offers wholesale sunglasses and a full range of Sunglass Displays at wholesale prices. Some of the newer items include new rhinestone styles, sports, fashion, clip ons, and much more.
Treasure hunts have proven to be an exciting opportunity for any corporate or retail team. Many corporations, restaurants, retail stores, and more have participated in these fun and educational events.

A treasure hunt game usually includes a variety of elements. For instance, clues may need to be deciphered in order to pinpoint a location. Another activity that may take place during a treasure hunt is that of answering some quiz or trivia questions. Right answers will score more points for any team.

Another activity that sometimes takes place during a treasure hunt is the completion of a photo assignment. This is one thing that will further help a team score points and solve the treasure mystery.

It may also be necessary for a team to decide what it needs to help them better complete the treasure hunt tasks set before them. Therefore, they will often need to complete a shopping list.

Treasure hunts are easy to plan and they can take place almost anywhere. In fact, some organizations may prefer just to have these events take place right on the premises (the employer’s property). Professional activity planners can help an employer set up this event.

Usually some of the items needed for a treasure hunt activity include a local survey map, instant camera, clues written out, and trivia questions. These can be made-up or they can be derived from any activity book or board game.

A typical day for a group participating in treasure hunts usually starts with an event briefing. This is during when the rules and regulations as well as game play instructions are given. Then, the treasure hunt would usually start.

There may then be a break for lunch. Sometimes prizes are given out before or during lunch to the winners of each completed treasure hunt mission-or to the team with the most points.

After lunch there may be an evening treasure hunt briefing if a new game is played. During this briefing may include tips on how to improve each team’s overall play. This will further help each team succeed.

The prizes for winning a treasure event do not have to be very extravagant. Sample prizes that could be given to a winning team (or individual winners) usually are a bottle of champagne, dinner gift certificates, or a small amount of cash.

Treasure hunt days are probably one of the most economical of all events to place, as well as the most versatile. Likewise, these games can be played by a group of any size. Also, these events generally do not cost that much money.

Treasure hunts are ideal for many corporate or employer occasions. For instance, they could take place during an employee picnic, Christmas party, or incentive trip. These particular activity days sometimes occur during motivational conferences for managers as well.

The purpose of treasure hunt games is to foster communication and togetherness amongst a group of employees. Furthermore, this type of game also helps draw out the strengths of individual employees. This will allow management of a particular place of employment to see who is the most organized, the most creative, the most articulate, and who is the best listener.

--
Bio for Treasure Hunts: John Tarr is a copywriter for Stag Party Weekend across Europe.
There are a number of web hosting for small businesses. This type of plan will depend on the type of site you have. You may need a small business web hosting option that includes e-commerce. You may require something that will keep track of your customer list. Your site may be simple and only include company and product information. Whatever your situation, there is a small business web hosting plan out there that is right for you. To find a small business web-hosting plan that is right for your company, you’ll first need to decide exactly what your site will be used for. Do you want it to be very helpful and content driven? Do you want to sell your product items online? Do you want to maintain a database? Do you just need a web hosting plan that will accommodate an only designed website? If your site is already designed and ready to go live, it will be fairly simple finding a web-hosting plan that will lodge your small business. All you’ll need to do is collect a list of companies that offer small business web hosting plans and then see if they accommodate the features that you need.

You’ll need to research carefully, because web-hosting companies do not always disclose the finer details on their main pages. The better way to find a reputable web hosting company is to find current customers and ask them some questions. In order to truly understand how their customer service and consistency measure up, you’ll need to get past their website and see what other people have to say. For example, if you select a company based solely on its price, you could be losing money in the long run if the server is constantly down. By renting servers and memory allocation, the small business saves on time and resources. It also frees the small business from the trouble of dealing with maintenance protocols and securing the network.

If you are interested in acquiring the services of a web-hosting agency, ask for quotations, the products and a list of services that go along with them. Compare offers and always choose one that gives extensive after-sales support, as free technical support really benefits small businesses. Most Web hosting solutions providers feature are highly reliable, high performance platforms. The web host’s mainframes are usually located in areas least visited by tornadoes, earthquakes, and other calamities to decrease the risk of system failure. Servers and Mainframes are, of course, automatically backed up by emergency power supply. Web hosts also provide junk mail filtering, standard virus protection, and most importantly, a domain name for your Web site.

--
Lou Perri is a writer and entrepreneur with 15 years of home business and marketing experience.Site Web Hosting.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com
