Search engines are a great way to get your website noticed and provide additional income. There are many search engines on the web but the one that comes standard on every Windows PC in MSN. All over the world Microsoft Internet explorer will come packaged on every new Windows computer. By ranking highly on the MSN search engine you can increase the visitors to your website which will means more customers will see your products or services. By performing a few simple online tasks you can increase your web exposure easily. MSN is one of the easiest websites to rank highly on. You can increase your rankings on MSN by following three basic website fundamentals. MSN favors websites that contain constant fresh updates, new incoming links, and good webpage optimization.

The first area we will focus on is fresh content. We will use a vacuum cleaner site that wants to be ranked for the keywords "vacuum cleaner reviews" as our example. MSN loves sites that are constantly updated with fresh and unique content. The best way to accomplish this is to set a content update schedule. On our vacuum cleaner site example we would schedule one day per week to add three pages to our website. On these web pages we would include two simple paragraphs that review a vacuum cleaner. The text should be fresh information and not copied, and also be unique to your site. After we create our web pages we would create a new updates area on our main page and link the words vacuum cleaner reviews in text links to the pages that have been created. By creating 3 pages a week we would be in turn creating 12 pages a month or 144 pages in a year.

Another import factor in ranking highly on MSN is the amount of new incoming links that you generate. MSN will favor your site when it comes upon new fresh links to your site from other websites. These links have to be constantly generated and must link in from quality websites that have relevant information to yours. A great way to generate these links is to join forums that have relevance to your website. In our example we would join vacuum cleaner forums and try to discuss vacuum reviews and add links back to our site. Another great link building method is to create a blog on vacuums cleaners and create links back to your website.

Good webpage optimization is important on all the search engines. Good webpage optimization rules are as follows. Don't overstuff your webpage with repetitive words. In our case we would not want to repeat the words vacuum cleaners constantly within the webpage. Keep your META title and description simple and also keep the page in focus to what the title is. In our example do not include content about cars if you are reviewing vacuum cleaners. Keep the information solely about vacuums and do not get off subject. Place your more relevant information in the top left portion of your page and end at the bottom of the page with a unique fresh summary of the page. Make sure to optimize your images so that they load quickly, and fill in the ALT tags on all images.

With most search engines change is an on going thing. In fact in the time it took me took write this article, MSN has changed its web search name to Bing. As well as the occasional name change search engines also update their algorithms. An algorithm is a set of instructions or equation that search engines follow when ranking websites. So as the search engines change people must adjust their strategy for ranking highly. Although these algorithms change these fundamentals should remain as a basis for high search rankings on Bing. Remember that it is easier to get the highest ranking if you have the best site for your keywords or phrases. So create a solid foundation and build on it until you reach the top spot.

--
Detailed and comprehensive information about vacuum cleaners and how to create successful websites.
You're right in the middle of vacuuming your living room and smoke starts pouring out the side of your vacuum cleaner. The next day you visit the vacuum repair shop and the technician tells you that that the repair of your antiquated vacuum is going to cost you two hundred dollars. At this point you decide to buy new, but which vacuum is the best buy for the money? The two most popular brands of vacuum cleaners on the market are Dyson and Hoover, but which is better. Three variables to consider when buying a vacuum cleaner are cost, capabilities, performance and durability.

The main difference between Hoover and Dyson vacuum cleaners is price point. Dyson vacuum cleaners have always been known to be higher priced than Hoover claiming that you get more vacuum and higher performance for the money. The current Dyson price point for a vacuum cleaner ranges from just under four hundred dollars to the just under six hundred dollars with seven different models to choose from.

Hoover on the other hand has over thirty five upright units ranging from sixty dollars to just under four hundred dollars for the top of the line Hoover platinum series upright. When considering what to pay for a vacuum I always look at the warranty. The warranty is usually a good indication of how firmly the manufacturer believes in the vacuum cleaner it is selling. With Hoover's new Platinum line Hoover has increased their warranty to six years giving the platinum line of vacuums an extra year over Dyson. In the area of warranty and price Hoover beats out Dyson hands down.

The capability of a vacuum cleaner should be matched to the tasks it has to perform and the environment the vacuum cleaner is going to be used in. For people with multi level homes a lighter vacuum cleaner should be used for ease of carrying it from level to level. People that use a vacuum cleaner for cleaning drapery or baseboard areas should look at a vacuum cleaner that has a plethora of vacuum tools, extended wand length and lots of accessory tools. In Dyson's case all of their upright vacuums come with a detachable wand and tools designed for other cleaning tasks. In Hoover's case they the Platinum Lightweight bagged upright does not have a detachable wand, but do come with an extra small canister vacuum to compliment the upright.

Although Hoover gives you an upright and a canister vacuum all the in the same box I found that having to use two vacuums instead of one unit took not only extra time but also extra storage space. Hoover recently introduced their version of a cyclonic upright called the UH70015. This vacuum cleaner comes with an aluminum lightweight wand, stretchable eight foot hose and dusting brush. Both manufactures products do a great job in fulfilling all the tasks that a vacuum cleaner has to perform but for ease of use Dyson makes cleaning a pleasurable experience. Dyson Vacuum cleaners seem be one step ahead of Hoover for maneuverability and the refinement in both looks and engineering.

In the vacuum world cyclonic technology seems to be a synonym for increased performance, but how much better is the cyclonic vacuum over its predecessors. Having professionally reviewed over forty different vacuum cleaners and working in the wholesale cleaning industry for over 15 years I do see that the cyclonic vacuum does have its advantages. A cyclonic vacuum seems to suck up more debris from baseboard areas and has more retention of dirt around the brush area on hard surface floors. On the other hand the power of a cyclonic vacuum can cause havoc on delicate materials such as cotton. Rug edges also seem to pose a problem by getting more easily sucked up by a cyclonic over conventional vacuums cleaner. When looking at performance be careful to look at the areas that you are vacuuming and match its power to the types of materials you are going to clean.

When you're thinking of paying a high price for a vacuum cleaner, durability is always a concern. If you look at the life of a vacuum cleaner versus the price you're paying, the top end Dyson would cost you one hundred and twenty dollars a year if the vacuum cleaner lasts five years or the life of its warranty. In Hoover's case, if the Platinum Cyclonic were to last you six years, or the life of its warranty you would be paying sixty seven dollars a year. Looking at the durability of higher end retail vacuums I would base its life expectancy on the warranty of the unit. Most higher priced vacuums cost more to repair, and in the case of catastrophic failure you would be better to discard the vacuum than to have it repaired. For this reason I would always base the life expectancy of a higher end vacuum of the length of the warranty. With the exception of the vacuum cleaner being broken by owner neglect the vacuum cleaner should cost very little to fix with the assistance of the warranty covering most of the bill.

Overall if you're looking to save some money and get a new vacuum cleaner every five or six years the Hoover Platinum Cyclonic seems to be the better buy. With just under two hundred dollars in savings the Hoover unit has a better warranty and will perform the same tasks as Dyson's most expensive vacuum. Dyson does have some other features such as ball technology which enables the user to maneuver the vacuum for efficiently. If you're looking for these types of features Dyson's lineup might be better suited to your needs.

--
Detailed and comprehensive information about vacuum cleaners and manufacturers.
Review of the Dyson DC14 All Floors Vacuum Cleaner

The Dyson DC14 Vacuum Cleaner is a powerful vacuum with a 17' extendable hose and a brush roller that can be turned on and off depending on the application required. The suction can prove almost too powerful for some-especially those with delicate or wool oriental carpeting as the fibers can be literally ripped out of the backing, even with the brush roller turned to an off position. The cleaning capability of this particular unit isn't the question, it is whether this machine over-cleans to the detriment of flooring and property.

The Dyson DC14 is equipped with a 17' extension hose (14' of flexible hose attached to a 3' wand) hat allows the cleaner to reach cobwebs as well as dust-bunnies and the suction and power of the vacuum is well-matched to this feature. The main drawback to this unit is the over-suction that results when the brush roller on the floor is used. Great suction is usually a good feature in a vacuum cleaner, however, here it is simply overkill and has resulted in expensive damage to various types of flooring.

On precious antiques, wool and oriental-type rugs and carpeting, many of the Dyson models have been known to literally tear the fibers right out of the backing, resulting in at best, a ragged-looking mess where patterns are forever blurred and thinned out portions of the material. Annoying balls of wool accumulate like cottonwood or dandelion seeds in spring across expanses of very expensive carpeting. The key in anything is balance. The Dyson DC14 fall short because this vacuum cleaner has to make up for finesse, it doubles up on the power, knowing that the average consumer looking to clean an investment in flooring will be swayed by what they think is a good vacuum based only on cleaning suction capability.

Other features on the Dyson DC14 include a 1/5-gallon bin that empties with the press of a button. The extra size is appreciated in this model, but it is a little bit of overkill again and results in vacuum cleaner that is on the heavy side and a bit bulky-too bulky to fit underneath beds like a Rubbermaid vacuum can and too heavy to be able to carry it easily from level to level. Another feature, the lifetime HEPA filter, is able to filter out 150 times the airborne mildew and allergy-causing particles than is found in an average air sample.

There is also an automatic carpet height adjustment and a 35 foot cord that allows access to more than one cleaning area with only one plug-in. The 14" cleaning path is thin enough to fit between most chair legs and small enough for residential use, but registers on the small side when it comes to any area that needs to be cleaned that is of any size. Property owners with large areas of carpeting or hard wood flooring that is delicate like wood-flooring and some laminates may experience scratching even with the brush-roller on the "off" position. A better machine for hard-flooring is the Proteam Super Coachvac with the special soft-foot attachment that is designed to leave hard flooring scratch-free.

The best thing about the Dyson DC14 is the generous warranty that extends to 5 years. While the Dyson DC14 is a very good vacuum cleaner and the warranty is generous, major problems don't usually crop up until after the warranty is expired. The problem with this Dyson and others is that they are extremely expensive to fix and require more expensive parts that are not as readily available as other prevalent brands. There are accounts of repair bills equaling the cost of the machine. While the Dyson DC14 is a machine with a lot of suction and a generous extension hose, some of its capability is negatively balanced by the amount it may cost to maintain in the long run.

--
Detailed and comprehensive information about vacuum cleaners and manufacturers.
The Dyson DC17 Absolute Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner is a machine with the advanced Dyson Cyclone technology that is intended to ensure that the unit never loses suction power throughout the lifetime of the vacuum cleaner. It includes many of the features found on most of Dyson's models including a washable lifetime HEPA filter, hygienic bin emptying system and fingertip brush-bar control. This Dyson model was manufactured with the pet owner in mind and also includes a quick-draw telescopic reach wand and is meant for all floor cleaning applications.

One of the nice things about this machine is the 51 foot reach that is achieved with a 35 foot power cord and the generous hose and telescopic wand. There are also 3 tools that store onboard for easy retrieval when needed. The 2/3 of a gallon refuse bin is able to tackle a lot of extra dirt and can handle a fair amount of pet hair. The bin is released with the press of a finger and is a fairly hygienic system, but not as absolutely dirt free as Dyson advertises. With any bagless system, the cleaner can't help but produce a small cloud of dust when emptying the bin. Bagged systems are the only virtually dust-free method for disposing of collected debris.

The Dyson DC17 Absolute Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner is intended especially for people who are pet owners and need a machine that is geared toward a variety of applications. Pet hair has a tendency to become interwoven with carpet fibers, fabric upholstery and draperies. The pet dander that is produced and accumulates in the air and on surfaces can create allergies and intensify asthma for some people. The washable lifetime HEPA filter is able to filter out virtually all airborne dust, mold and dander to the degree that it has been certified as asthma and allergy friendly.

The Dyson D17 is a good vacuum cleaner but it is a bit on the pricey side for some, retailing for around $450. The price would be justified if there were some features that truly made this unit stand out, but there really weren't any. The tools for the telescopic wand were on the flimsy side and are held on with friction by pushing them on. This makes it difficult to secure tightly without having to hassle with prying them back off and can be hard for people who lack the strength or wrist-twisting capability that is required. The motorized upholstery tool is okay, but the brush slows down considerably if it is used on anything with a pile to it like velvet, brocade or carpeting. This makes the claim that it is intended for pet owners misleading because this tool isn't any better than a static brush tool when it comes to lifting pet hair off of surfaces like stairs or furniture.

The 5-year warranty on the Dyson DC17 Absolute Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner is a generous warranty, but the parts for Dyson's are expensive and can be difficult to locate readily. The suction on this machine is wonderful but the price is awfully steep for a model that has such cheap extra parts. The additional carpet kit with absorbent powder is a nice touch, but ended up being something that was never used and took up extra storage space. It would have been better to make the attachments clip into the wand rather than hold by friction and the special motor brush tool could have been better designed in order to be more effective on pet hair. A decent machine overall, but there are vacuum cleaners on the market that cost less and have the exact same power and better features.

--
Detailed and comprehensive information about vacuum cleaners and manufacturers.
The Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner is a machine that utilizes Dyson Ball technology for smooth maneuvering and comes with Root Cyclone technology to ensure that there is no clogging or loss of power. Outfitted with a telescopic wand, motorized brush-bar, lifetime HEPA filter, and on-board tool kit, the Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner is a good value at $499. A 5-year warranty on parts and labor is also included.

The Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright is a machine that has terrific suction and a lot of features. The telescopic wand extends the reach of the cleaner to about 16 feet, allowing access to ceilings as well as baseboards. The brush-bar has a switch that the operator can turn off when the hose attachment is in use. This is a nice feature because it prevents the brush-bar from over-beating the floor material underneath the vacuum. The motorized brush-bar is made with stiff bristles that agitate the carpet and bounce dirt straight into the vacuum cleaner.

The lifetime HEPA filter is washable and reduces the particles let back into the air by 150 times the ratio that went in. The 1/3 gallon hygienic collection bin empties by pressing a button and is meant to be a less messy way to empty a bin but experiences with some Dyson models have had a less than satisfactory rating with many cleaners reporting jamming and floating dust particles that seem to defy the effectiveness of the HEPA filter.

At a little over 16 lbs, the Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright is on the moderate side for weight. The 24 ft power cord is a bit short for anything other than small residential use and doesn't allow the operator enough distance to be able to go from area to area without having to unplug and replug the unit, wasting a lot of time and increasing the hassle of unplugging other electronic appliances. The reach of the vacuum cleaner extends to about 40 feet if the length of the extension wand and hose are taken into consideration with the length of the power cord.

The ball technology utilized in this model allows for more maneuverability, but can be hard to get used to. The ball glides over the flooring easily, but the motion tends to be very different from traditional vacuuming and can be too awkward for some cleaners to get used to. The proper vacuuming technique for a Dyson vacuum cleaner tends to be more like a side-to-side motion instead of the regular back and forth direction used by the majority of machines available on the market today. Some cleaners are comfortable with Dyson's ball technology and can get used to the difference while other consumers have been annoyed by its novel design and find little difference in the ergonomic switch in direction.

Overall, the Dyson DC25 is a powerful vacuum but it is not recommended for use on wool carpeting, oriental-type rugs or wood flooring because the suction can cause the machine to scratch across surfaces, damaging them in the process. The powerful suction has been known to rip individual fibers out from the carpet backing and can leaving bare spots and worn areas, especially on fine rugs and carpets made with wool.

--
Detailed and comprehensive information about vacuum cleaners and manufacturers.
Cat urine is one of the most difficult stains to remove. The resulting odor is ammonia-like and lingers forever if the stained area is not dealt with properly. There are news stories that are devoted to the damage that cats can do to a property when things get out of hand. Tales of cat hoarders who have taken in too many animals and have become overwhelmed dot the headlines almost monthly. In some of the worst cases, properties have been condemned and have needed to be literally demolished. Even the most responsible cat owners have experienced problems from time to time and are at a loss as to how to remedy the situation. The best way to avoid a situation that is out of control is to prevent it from happening in the first place, if at all possible.

The first step in preventing cat urine problems begins with the health of your pet. Regular veterinary check-ups and vaccines go a long way toward ensuring that your cat is healthy and can off-set diseases and parasites that contribute to urination issues. A cat that is unhealthy is much more prone to accidents and other destructive behaviors than one that is physically fit. Your veterinarian is also the person who can give you expert advice on behavior problems that may arise and offer solutions that are specific to your cat and any extenuating circumstances.

Another contributing factor toward the overall health of your cat is what your cat eats. As a whole, pet foods found in the supermarket have come a long way, but without reading labels and ingredients, the average consumer is more likely to be swayed by advertising than nutrition. It is important to read the ingredients in order to make sure that your cat is getting the right amount of protein and other essential nutrients. As cats are carnivores, it is important to check to see if the first ingredient in their food is meat, poultry or fish. Many pet foods, even wet foods, list some type of grain as the first ingredient and as ingredients are listed in descending order, this means that the food is comprised of mostly grain. Various grains including corn and rice may fill up your cat but have little nutritive value for a carnivore.

In addition to making sure that the food has meat, poultry or fish as the first ingredient, make sure that the cat's diet also includes canned or wet food. A diet made up of only dry food prevents the cat from benefiting from a more natural diet. Natural carnivores like cats get a majority of the water in their diet from the animals they eat. By providing a canned or wet food, a cat owner is allowing the cat to absorb moisture in a more natural way that really supplements the amount of water the cat drinks. Finally, always provide fresh, clean water for your cat. A cat that is dehydrated is more likely to develop painful crystals in their urine and can set up a situation where urinary tract infections occur frequently. Urinary tract infections are serious in cats and result in extremely painful and frequent urination and less desire to make it to the litter box.

The last step in prevention is to make sure that the cat's litter box is a desirable place for the cat to eliminate waste. By cleaning feces out daily and changing the litter at least once a week, a cat owner is more likely to have a cat that is all to happy to use its litter box.

--
Cat urine can be impossible to remove from carpets and other surfaces.
The best way to avoid cat urine stains and odor is to properly train your cat. Litter-training comes easily to most kittens and cats, much more so than house-breaking a puppy or dog. There are chapters in books and articles on the internet that are devoted to how to litter-train and the new cat owner is smart to seek them out in order to prevent costly problems down the road. Even more experienced cat owners are advised to buff up on their knowledge as veterinarians and animal behaviorists are continuing to learn more about cat urination issues and are passing on this information to the general public.

The first thing to start with is to maintain the health of your cat with a healthy diet, plenty of fresh water and regular veterinary check-ups. If your kitten or adult cat is healthy, litter-training should be relatively easy and come naturally to your pet. Cats are prone to urinary tract infections if they have a poor diet and limited access to fresh water. A balanced diet with both dry and canned wet food and water that is changed daily are things that are essential to the health of your pet.

The next thing to provide is an environment that is nurturing to your cat. Cats are playful animals and born hunters. Games and play that stimulate your cat are important to its mental health and keep a cat from becoming overweight, bored and unhealthy. Cats that are overweight are also more prone to diseases that can lead to urination problems. Something as simple as playing fetch with a crumpled up piece of foil or paper and playing chase with a string can be loads of fun for your cat. Consider getting a friend for your cat if your time and space allow for it. After an initial phase of minor quarreling, many cats welcome a feline friend and will play together well, providing stimulation that can stave off boredom and other problems.

The most important part of litter-training is the cat box itself. Available in many different sizes, it is essential to get a litter box large enough for your cat. It is also recommended to get one litter box per cat plus an extra one. If you have two cats, there should be a minimum of three boxes and so on. The type of litter you purchase is a personal decision and there are many choices from clay to material that clumps when wet. Don't forget that your cat may have a preference that differs from yours too. It is worth trying a few different products if your cat doesn't seem keen about your first choice. Cats also tend to prefer litters that don't have heavy perfumes, so you may need to examine your options at the store until you find what works for both of you. Finally, make sure that the litter box is kept clean. Feces should be removed daily and the litter should be changed weekly at the very least. Litter-box odor can be kept to a minimum by following these simple steps, even without scented litter.

Cats scratch as a natural part of their urination and defecation ritual. They scratch to clear a spot initially and they scratch matter over the soiled area to cover it. When a kitten is young, it is important to keep showing them the proper place to relieve themselves and in time they will get the hang of it. When a kitten is weaned and is old enough, begin by placing them in the litter box periodically throughout the day. By gently taking a paw, help your kitten scratch in the litter to trigger its natural instinct to scratch. If you are lucky enough to catch a kitten in the middle of an accident, try to pick it up and place it in the litter box to finish the job. If an accident does occur, place the feces or soaked up urine in the litter box and then place your kitten in the box so that it can associate the two together. Always praise your kitten for using the litter box and make it a good experience that your pet will want to recreate. Remember, prevention is the key to reducing many of the problems associated with cat urine stains and odor.

--
Cat urine stains can be difficult if not impossible to remove.
One of the most notoriously resistant stains, cat urine can be almost impossible to remove. There are plenty of tales regarding cat urine stains that end with the removal and disposal of furniture, carpeting and even floorboards. There are many cat owners who are too embarrassed to have guests into their homes because the cat smell has gotten too overwhelming, even if they only own one cat. What is it about cat urine that makes it so difficult to remove?

Cat urine consists of water, trace minerals, salts, creatinine, hormones, urea and ammonia. When the urine saturates any porous material, the water in it eventually evaporates, leaving behind a dry crust of the remaining components. Porous materials are especially prone to capturing smells and stains because the pores of the material are literally holes that fill up and hold the residuals left behind by the evaporated urine.

While the area that was saturated with cat urine is wet, the smell may be more noticeable. This is because the water from the urine evaporates and sends the odor molecules into the air. Once the area is dry, the odor will remain, but won't be as pungent as when it was wet. Humidity due to weather tends to make smells more noticeable, again because of water evaporating out of the affected area.

The best way to reduce cat urine odor is to prevent it. Providing fresh cat litter and changing the litter box often encourages a cat to keep using the box. Cats are fastidious animals and prefer to go in a box that is clean. If there are several cats in a household, the rule of thumb is to provide one litter box per animal plus an extra one. For example, if you have two cats, provide three boxes and so on. Litter-box training comes fairly naturally to most cats as they enjoy scratching in the litter and prefer to go in a designated spot away from the areas where they eat and sleep. Just remember to keep the litter clean!

The first step in reducing and removing cat odor from an object or carpet is to try to physically remove as much cat urine as possible. This reduces the amount of precipitate that causes the odor. Removing the urine from an object begins with washing it out or off of the area covered with urine. For carpeting, it is advisable to blot up or extract as much as possible while the area is still fresh. Blotting can be done by using a dry, disposable cloth to press into the wet area, wicking up as much urine as possible. A better method than blotting is to use a carpet extractor which will suck the urine out without pressing it further into the carpet. If the area that has been affected is already dry, proceed to the next step.

There are a lot of products that will mask odor but by far the best way to remove cat urine is to use enzymes to digest and neutralize it. There are many different formulations and strengths of enzyme products and some work better than others. The most important thing to remember when using these products is to follow the directions listed on the packaging. Many enzyme products require that the area be kept moist for a specified amount of time in order for the enzymes to have enough time to do their job. Some enzymes are also sensitive to temperature, so it may be necessary to seek out a product that will work for a specific situation if temperature is a concern. Most products perform better in a warmer rather than colder environment.

In many cases, particularly with cat urine, an area or object may require more than one treatment with an enzyme-based product. It is advisable to wait until the area dries thoroughly before retreating. This helps reduce the chance for mildew to take hold and can help to cut down on other damage associated with over-saturation.

--
Cat urine stains can be difficult to remove, if not impossible.
