Emotional investing is bad for your health and your purse too. You will be driven to make decisions which you may regret later on. An emotional person can never trade in the stock market for too long. Keep all your emotions and feelings locked in the cupboard before starting trading in the stock market.

Here are a few points jotted down about emotional investors in the stock market.. Just take a look and you can figure out if you are one among the thousands of emotional traders out there who is impatient and weak minded when it comes to the ups and downs of trading.

1.	You are an emotional investor if you find any of the below points to resemble your character:

2.	You quote for a particular stock and are cheer if it even goes up by a single penny.

3.	You are in touch with your broker every single day and enquire about your holdings.

4.	You tend to scratch your head and bite your nails while watching the closing hours of the market.

5.	You get emotional and tend to cry if your stock is showing a 10% decline.

6.	You are exited when you get a tip from your colleague about a big stock which is going to make huge money and you have even not heard about the stock.

7.	You sweat at the drop of a hat and you wear the same clothes till you have a bad day.

8.	You join chat rooms and pay undivided attention to what everyone is buying and selling and then take your decisions.

9.	You tend to stare hard at your portfolio and refresh it every five minutes.

10.	You get mad at everyone and anyone on a bad trading day.

11.	You celebrate when your stocks have made huge profits but you have not realized then as yet.

12.	You want to go to the loo often when your stocks are trading at a very high level, or your stocks are seeing to bite dust.

13.	You place the stop loss order price at a price less than 0.5% below your purchase price because you are really scared of losses.

14.	You cry uncontrollably even after losing 5 dollars.

15.	You yell, scream and insult the stock analysts and experts after a bad session.

16.	You throw a big party and drown all your profits without making a saving.

These may sound silly but they are true with most people who are emotionally involved in the stock market. Try to keep your cool and trade cautiously and carefully and see that you have made enough savings to keep you afloat during bad times

--
The Author of this article is an equity market analyst and provides stock market trading tips on Indian share market.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Imagine that are diagnosed with the HIV virus, the first thing you have to do is to keep your emotions in check: calm down. This is not going to be the death of you yet! There are several millions of people afflicted with this deadly virus but still lead normal and healthy lives due to the abundance of medicines available in the market which may not necessarily cure the disease but will definitely contain the virus. The secret here is self- motivation and that can make you live your life completely.

Your relations and associates are the ones that you should be looking to for support at this juncture and they will definitely help calm you down. Consulting with a social worker or a counselor will keep away depression. There is a wealth of information available online that will get you closer to people suffering from this disease and you can share experiences with each other. Regular health check ups to determine the body's immunity levels should also be done by a qualified doctor. And finally remember that; you should come to terms to the fact that you are infected.

It's important that you understand how the HIV virus multiplies inside your body and its effect on the immune system. The Viral load test tells you how much of the virus you have at present in your body and the CD4 test tells you how strong your protective system is. It's important that you know both of them

Always understand that HIV is NOT infectious. Casual contact like sharing utensils, embracing or shaking hands will not spread the disease and this is what your relations and friends need to understand. HIV spreads only through sex, allotment of infected needles and breastfeeding. Do not work your self up just because you are suffering with the disease rather focus on your health. Regular health check-ups is important as the body's immunity system is gullible to an array of diseases. Avoiding smoking and drinking will also help you handle HIV better. There are many medicines available in the market that can stem the HIV virus starting to increase in your body and your doctor would be the best guide to help you out in this.

Voluntary organizations can also provide you with a wealth of information that will get you closer to people suffering with this disease and this can also be a source of comfort to you. Latest advances in Medicine have actually increased the life span of an HIV patient by ten years or more since the inception of the virus. Some of these individuals, with the help of medicines are leading normal and healthy lives just like any ordinary human being. SO, DON'T give up hope, worrying will never help you, rather learn to accept the situation. Remember that you have to tae care of your own health and no one can do that for you; do visit your doctor regularly. It's your life so don't despair, live it king-sized, you will in all probability outlive your expectation.

--
Diagnosehivsymptoms.com is a health related blog dedicated to provide all the information about HIV and AIDS.
As we all know, AIDS is not a disease to be trifled with. The disease is extremely dangerous and it has killed millions till date and millions more get infected every minute. But has anyone has every imagined what the patients go through! Imagine the same condition on yourself! What would you go through if you had the same diagnosis? There are several infected people who devastated with the diagnosis have attempted suicide in an attempt to escape the eventual fate and social discrimination. But please remember that it does not have to be like that! AIDS is totally controllable and you can get it under control if you use the medications in the market today. But as soon as you get the diagnosis here are a few things that you can do.

Where do I go after a positive test?
It's not going to be easy but you have to deal with it. AIDS is not as scary as it was two decades ago. At that time there was literally nothing in the market to control the drug and half the world didn't really know what it was even though millions had already been infected. The situation is now very different. For half the people who go in for voluntary testing; the result is expected to be positive and that can be devastating. But with newer and better drugs the current condition is such that patients can expect a larger and better lifespan even after being infected. As soon as you get infected or get a positive test, you have to find yourself an experienced doctor who will be monitoring your case closely.

Choosing your doctor!
You will need a doctor who can help you through different times. You have to remember that AIDS is a constantly evolving condition and you need an experienced doctor who can keep a close eye on the disease and its spread inside your body. You will feel scared and tense and pressured. But that is normal. Remember that you should not continue with any doctor that makes you feel like that it was your fault.

Getting information!
You cannot be isolated in your condition. Scientists are continuing with research to find newer and better medications that can control the disease. It is your duty to read up on the information and make sure that you are updated on what you could use to keep your AIDS under control. There are several clinical trials on all through the year where clinicians test newer and better drugs on AIDS patients. It helps to know that the search for a cure is on.

Whom to tell?
No one other than your medical provider and your immediate family need to know! AIDS is not communicable unless by transfer of body fluids. Any one who lives in close contact with you has a right to know about your condition and no one else.

The decision for your life is in your hands.

--
Diagnosehivsymptoms.com is a health related blog dedicated to provide all the information about HIV and AIDS.
Patients who do get confirmed with AIDS just consider this as an extended life sentence. I mean just consider what would have happened if you had got diagnosed with the disease? If you had a family the first concern would be who will take care of them when you are gone, right? Its not a disease that you can expect a cure for very soon. Although researchers are doing their best to find newer and better drugs to control the disease, there are very few chances of that happening soon. But with the newer drug medications, it has now become possible to improve the life span of the patient such that they can survive up to 15 years with proper care and medication. It's also a good idea to get yourself checked regularly if you have more than one sexual partner to ensure that you do not have the disease. But if the test comes out positive, don't despair. Here are a few things you can do-

What to do if you have had a positive test?
As soon as your test comes out positive there are chances that your stress levels will soar. After all, it isn't good news is it? You will feel scared, all alone and worried about a lot of things. But please remember that its not all bad. With greater advances in the field of medicine, antiretroviral therapy has now made several new drugs available to the common person to prolong life. Get in touch with an AIDS support group so that you can find out what to do to make your life a much better experience.

Choose a good doctor!
Getting AIDS is not your fault. You could have got it due to several reasons like blood transfusions, injections or even from a careless partner. But no matter how you got it, no one has the right to judge you. Find a doctor who is considerate enough to care for you and your needs at this sensitive time. If he is critical of your case, your care and your lifestyle, then you need to find another doctor.

Getting information about the disease!
AIDS is undergoing changes by leaps and bounds. There are so many new articles on the disease that it can be confusing. But no matter what happens, you have to keep updated on the disease and the latest medications, preventions and lifestyle changes that other patients have tried. Try joining online support groups to ensure that you have the latest information and news about the disease to ensure a longer life.

Do you need to tell the world you have AIDS?
I personally don't think anyone has a right to find out personal information about anyone unless it is authorized. That means, if you do not want to tell anyone about your disease; it is your legal right to do so. But you do require the support of your family as you struggle through the complications that the disease will bring. Tell your family, they will support you.

--
Diagnosehivsymptoms.com is a health related blog dedicated to provide all the information about HIV and AIDS.
Don't press the panic button in case your HIV reports have just tested positive. The world will not come crashing down. You have to be bold enough to take on the world with a positive mindset. Just remember that you are not the only one infected; and with the improvement in science and technology, the virus can be controlled. Although a permanent cure does not exist you can live normally with a few precautions in mind.

Your friends and family should be taken into confidence. Their support will guide you a long way. Lift your morale and try taking advice or a counselor or a social worker who works in this field. Talking will help you to relieve you of the stress and anxiety you face initially. Education holds the key in keeping yourself updated about the disease and its effects on you. There are several informative websites on the internet which can guide you. Take guidance of your local health department. Your immune system is the worst affected because of this disease so visit the doctor every week or fortnight.

It is the most dreaded disease because it attacks your immune system and makes you susceptible to a lot of other ailments. The Viral Load test and the CD4 test are reliable tests that give the doctor an accurate idea of how much HIV virus is in your bloodstream. It is the viral test that determines the intensity of virus that is present in your bloodstream and the CD4 test that can find out how strong your immune system is at the time of the test.

HIV (human immunodeficiency syndrome) is definitely not a contagious disease and it cannot be spread through hugging, sharing the toilet seat or sharing utensils. Your family should also do a research on this topic so that they are at ease. HIV carrier is transmitted via the sharing of contaminated needles, from an HIV infected mother to baby during birth or due to breastfeeding. The main source of transmission is sex with an infected partner.

The huge variety of medicines available today for controlling this disease can be confusing. Rely on your medical consultant. Century old traditional practices like acupuncture and some herbs are known to cure cancer but it is only a myth. They may give you some relief or benefit but consult a renowned practitioner.

If you are feeling isolated and left alone join some voluntary organization that deals in the uplifted of people affected by HIV/AIDS. These services might also give you the confidence to carry on your life normally. There are a lot of people who carry this deadly virus, who run such organizations and help people in distress.

Prayers can comfort you at this juncture and have faith in God, the almighty

--
Diagnosehivsymptoms.com is a health related blog dedicated to provide all the information about HIV and AIDS.

Website design is what determines the look and feel of your website. It is what forms the first impression of your website for visitors coming to your site. A good website design is one which is easy to use, easy to navigate, easy to understand and read, and also attractive. By attractive we don't mean you need to put in lots of graphics and animations, even a simple site like Google can be termed as attractive. The important point to remember is that the site should not be cluttered with too many things as it can take the focus away from your content which is what you are trying to convey.

Importance of good website design

The debate between website design and content is a never ending one. While some feel that content is the main part of a website, others are of the opinion that it is the design which holds more importance. The answer is that both are required for a successful website. If the design is not good then your visitors will not even look at your content, and if the content is lacking then the visitors will never come back. A good website design is what compels the visitor to read what you have to say and forms the first impression of your site.

Planning before website designing

It is important that you put in time to plan the website design strategy before starting work on it. The website design should be decided keeping in mind the field the website is related to and the target audience. For instance, a site for business executives needs to portray a professional look with an uncluttered, minimal, and attractive design. On the other hand, a site aimed at kids needs to be full of color, graphics, and maybe even music. Accordingly, you need to give proper importance to the browser and settings you are designing your website for. Any site which incorporates horizontal scrolling is difficult to navigate and not liked by many people, thus you may be alienating a large percent of your traffic. Cross browser compatibility is another issue to be looked into during the planning phase. Also remember to keep the design consistent between the different pages of the site.

Use of color and graphics in Website design

One of the most important though not so obvious aspects of your website design is the background color and the color scheme you use for the site. For instance, a white background conveys a more professional look, lets you experiment with different color schemes, and is best suited for professional sites. However, for an artist wanting to display his or her work the color may be too dull and they should try different colors. Black is often chosen by those daring to be different, and if you have say a rock n roll band then it may be a good option for you. Graphics are a great way to make your site look attractive, but remember too many of them on one page can make the page look cluttered apart from increasing the time the page takes to load. The same rule applies to animations as well.

--
John Mahoney is a freelance author who writes about various internet marketing related subjects including website designFor more information about John, visit his website: www.techstore.ie

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Building Insulation

Building insulation is done for a variety of reasons. Primarily we associate it with thermal insulation but the fact is there are other reasons such as for example blocking sound and vibration transmission, fire protection and impact damages etc. why different types of insulations are used. Out of all these, weaknesses in thermal insulation hit everyone harder because it affects their home economy consistently.

What Insulation is best for my home?

All buildings are not the same .Neither are they located in a particular single geographical region. Their needs too may differ, for example whether it's heating or cooling that you require or whether it's both. (In which case which requirement prevails longer). The following information gives a better idea to plan this out.

Climate prevailing at the site

Space temperature you would be happy with.(low temperature setting will cause lesser loss of heat)

Suitability, acceptability (by local regulations etc) and the convenience to insulate.

Life span and durability (some are susceptible to moisture, material may settle soon and loose profile, may deteriorate faster etc.)

Mode of heat transfer (whether conduction , convection or radiation is prevailing more)

Building architectural design, orientation, use of glass in the building envelope etc. (for example whether outsulation is possible, air tightness, vapour permeability, forced or passive ventilation, possibility to use low-e insulated glass etc).

Toxicity of the material (short term or long term)

Sustainability, Carbon foot print, environmental friendliness and ability to recycle.

Insulation options

The types of building insulation may be broadly divided as;

Structural

and, Non-structural

Non Structural building Insulations

The following is a cross section of the types of insulation material available for retrofitters and new builders.

Blankets and rigid boards with or without kraft paper/aluminium foil vapor barriers- (e.g. Fibreglass wool, rock wool, slag wool etc)

Batts of Insulation -(e.g. Fibreglass, mineral wools etc)

Loose Fill insulation – (e.g. Fibreglass wool, slag wool, rock wool, cellulosic material such as recycled paper, cotton wool, vermiculite etc.)

Sprayed foams – (e.g, Polyurethane foams, expanded polystyrene foam etc.)

Reflective Insulation and radiant barriers– (e.g. stand alone kraft paper backed aluminium foil or plain aluminium foil etc.)

Structural Building insulations

Rigid Panels – (e.g. composite Outsulation of EPS with finishes, dry walls etc.)

Structured Panels (e.g. compressed straw panels etc.)

Straw bales (e.g. tightly bundled straw finished with masonry plaster)

When you are thinking of building insulation (whether a new construction or a retrofit job) paying careful attention may not be a wasteful exercise. After all proper building insulation may be the difference of up to 30% of your home heating bill. Avoiding thermal bridges (continuous direct paths for heat transfer from indoor to out door) in the building envelope is equally important. As the currently effective HES scheme of SEI reimburses significant amounts against retrofit thermal insulation expenditure it is best to look in to this as well.

Attic Insulation

If you are told that your attic along with the roof are two of the weakest places in your thermal insulation system it is possible that many may not believe. According to statistics poor (or absent) attic insulation will account for up to 15 % of the total energy loss in your house. Insulating an attic which is generally unheated is vital in the home energy saving process.

What is really the attic in your building?

Attic is defined as the space enclosed by the building wall and is located directly under the roof. As this is an area generally not occupied continuously by anybody (except in special designs and home modifications) it is unheated. Some components of utilities such as water heaters, hot water storages, air conditioning and heating air ducts and also goods storages may be located here depending on the volume of space available. Generally the roof and the floor are insulated though more often than not inadequately.

Areas of heat loss in an attic

Some major points of heat loss have been identified by researchers. For example;

Roof

Attic floor

Air vents

Attic access

Poorly erected hot/cold air distribution ducts

and,

Poor insulation in hot water tanks and plumbing

The silver lining in the whole issue is that of all insulations of an old or new building attic insulation is the easiest to tackle. And in most cases can be carried out by semiskilled amateurs as a DIY project perhaps during a weekend!

Types of attic insulation

Commonly used attic insulations are as follows;

Cellulose Insulation – loose fill

Cellulose Insulation – Stabilized Insulation

Fibreglass and mineral wool Insulation- loose fill

Fibreglass and mineral wool insulation- batts

Expanded Polystyrene or Phenolic foam insulation- rigid boards

Cellular Foam Insulation – sheets of Butyle and Nitrile rubber foam etc.

Tips for DIY enthusiasts

The use of cellulose insulation is currently gaining grounds over fiberglass and mineral wool insulation. The reasons being none other than economy! The thermal resistance value “R” per unit material cost for cellulose fill is the lowest for any attic insulation.

Further the modernized material does not require a vapor barrier (subject to local building codes permitting it)

The cellulose loose fill can be filled in between timber joists. This may raise dust posing a health hazard. Adequate precautions are advised. These fibres may settle about 20 % over the time. An overfill of at least this amount is therefore recommended. On the other hand stabilized cellulose material does not show this weakness and is therefore better suited for the job in spite of the higher price.

On the other hand the EPS, PF and cellular foam slabs can be easily cut to exact size between joist spacing and also can be fitted over them completely eliminating any thermal bridges unlike fiberglass, cellulose material etc.

Handling of Fibreglass or mineral wool insulation should be done with care. Protective clothing and masks need to be worn.

Check all hot water plumbing insulation and renew if necessary. Continuous insulation through out is essential. Check near the storage tanks for weak insulation and rectify as needed.

Hot/cold air ducts are easily neglected items in an unconditioned attic. Poor seals between flanged joints, weak insulation in these places and elsewhere, non continuity in insulation etc. may cause high thermal energy losses.

Another cause of heat loss from conditioned areas to the attic is the recessed light fittings. Caution should be exercised when insulating the fitting as this will also entrap the heat emitted by the lamp leading to disastrous fires. Seeking manufacturer's instruction is therefore essential in this matter.

Vent grilles to and unheated attic is essential for proper ventilation of the occupied areas. Special care need to be taken to prevent obstruction of these grilles (generally located at the periphery of the attic floor).

Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) currently operates two home energy conservation programs where the participant house owners may be reimbursed the total cost they incur while carrying out certain home energy improvements. One such improvement is the cavity wall insulation. Cavity walls provide a convenient structural design to support wall insulation material.

Cavity Walls

Cavity walls are external building walls which incorporate an air gap which may be within the wall structure itself (for e.g. Hollow block walls) or between two solid walls (or between two partitions having a narrow air gap separating them). The latter technique was widely used in houses constructed between 1932 to 1982.

Almost all houses constructed after 1982 adopted the cavity wall technique with or without the use of insulation.

Why do you need insulation in cavity wall?

The wall cavity maintains an air gap which is a good insulation. (In fact it is about the best available conveniently and almost all other manufactured insulation material incorporates air bubbles or spaces in order to gain this advantage). When the cavity width between the two walls exceed a certain critical dimension the air within the gap start moving about due to convection (convection currents) which start assisting heat transfer from the warmer to the colder side rather than blocking it.

Porous insulation fill will restrict the air movement within the cavity providing optimized insulation quality.

How to find out whether your house has cavity walls

All houses built during the last 25 years are almost certain to have cavity walls. It is possible these may be insulated too. Houses built during the 50 years prior to that are also likely to have cavity walls but may not have any insulation.

A sure giveaway sign is the brick pattern of the exterior wall. In general wall bricks are laid in 3 patterns. viz;

Stretcher bond

Flemish bond

And,

English bond

Of these only the stretcher bond patterned brick walls will have a wall cavity. A stretcher bond patterned brick wall will have the bricks laid flat on side and in a linear manner i.e. bricks laid end to end.

Another tell tale sign is the width of the total wall. Due to the incorporated cavity the width is in excess of the normal 300 mm width you would expect it to have.

It is always better to get a skilled person with proper tools to give advice on these matters. Normally they drill holes in the wall and collect data to find out the details of the air gap, insulation material (if any), and the present condition of it.

Types of insulation for cavity walls

The commonly used materials are;

Fibreglass or mineral wool with short strands

Cellulose loose fill or stabilized cellulose

Phenolic and other Synthetic foam cavity board –(Used in new constructions only).

Cavity wall insulation if it is a retrofit in an existing house will not take more than 3 or 4 hours. Of course it has to be handled by a skilled person with specialized tools. They would drill holes in the existing external wall at regular intervals, insert a special nozzle and blow short strands of insulation material in to the wall cavity. If the house is being constructed anew phenolic foam rigid board or expanded polystyrene foam boards too may be used.

Under floor Heating (UFH) is a highly efficient comfort conditioning system because:

• The distribution of warmth (the heat energy) is from the floor level upwards

• The wall or ceiling mounted heat emitters are eliminated

• The heat distribution is uniform through out the space and cold pockets are thus eliminated

Types of UFH systems

There are two main types of under floor heating technologies depending on the source of heat. i.e.

• Electrical heater element type (in cable or mat form)

And,

• Warm water circulating pipe type (hydronic)

Under different situations and requirements each type has its own applications.

Which is suitable for my home?

Examples of situations where electrical heater elements are better suited are;

• When the subfloor is already high to embed a piped system

• In an existing building where the finished floor level does not permit raising further to embed pipes

• When cheap or excess electrical energy is available in the building (say for example through solar PV panels or wind turbines)

• When a high back pressure rated warm water circulating pump (necessary for hydronic systems) cannot be incorporated in the system.

On the other hand the embedded pipe system is better suited for you when:

• Cheap warm water is available from your existing or retrofitted hot water boiler.

• When zoning and a condensing boiler is used in your home heating system.

• In geothermal heat pump installations

• When adequate clearance is available above sub floor to embed the heater piping.

• When solar water heating is available

• When better energy economy is sought

What ever is your choice, under floor heating (UFH) provides you with individual room temperature control, avoid obtrusive and ungainly terminal heating equipment and affords much less maintenance.

Consider these well in advance!

Some important points to keep in your mind when considering a UFH system are;

• A particular product is designed for a specific type of installation and therefore the manufacturers' guidance must be sought and adhered to. For example pipes suited for screed embedded UFH is not suited generally in under wooden floor installations and vise versa.

• Whether it is a solid or wooden floor the under side of the heaters must be well insulated with an adequate layer of insulation and also reflective insulation foil doubling as a vapor barrier to prevent condensation (if a damp proof membrane is not available below subfloor).

• If your building exists and is with solid floors the pipe or the mat is generally laid on the floor and finished with timber, laminate or any other type of tiles. The level of the finished floor will be raised .This will in turn necessitate the lifting of the doors, skirting boards etc.

• In the case of electrical heating elements you will find heating mat (which is in effect heater elements attached to a flexible mat) can be laid on the surface rather than embedding in the screed. This has the added advantage of maintaining the element/cable spacing for uniform heat distribution.

• In tiled floors the heater elements or the pipes may be embedded in the adhesive which is generally flexible.

• Suspended wooden floors pose a different situation altogether. Generally the pipes or cables may be mounted between joists (clipped or clamped to under side) with adequate insulation and foil vapor barrier below. All joints must be well sealed with sealant tape. Though views may differ on timber floor insulation, as moisture is detrimental to timber (which is a good insulator but absorbs moisture easily) a vapor sealant and insulation (depending on the floor design “U” value) is prudent. Further it should not be forgotten that the timber floor will be exposed to two different temperatures on either side which may warp the material unless adequately insulated.

• Another technique used to suspend pipes or cables under timber floors is to lay a masonry filling under the timer work embedding the heaters. This is however slow and labor intensive process and accordingly expensive. The masonry filler will be heavy too and unless you are sure of the floor strength this method is not advisable.

• The third method for timber floors is to fix an aluminium plate to support the heater elements from under .This is tedious and costly in terms of material as well as labor.

Evaluation of all pros and cons for the type of installation best suited for your application and the purse is a must prior to finalization. Another aspect you must consider is whether your new under floor heating installation will qualify for any SEI grant aid schemes.
