There are an infinite number of excuses in golf for hitting a bad shot, but few sound more irrational than blaming your clubs. But in some cases, blaming a bad shot on your clubs may not be ridiculous at all. Having your clubs fitted specifically for your own swing can have a massive impact on your game. If your clubs aren’t fitted to your personal specifications, you could well be sacrificing critical elements of your swing to make up for it.

For an example of how big a part clubs play in your game, just take a look back at Phil Mickelson’s win in the Masters this year. He basically had two different drivers in his bag, one which produced a draw and the other which produced a fade. And he didn’t change his swing at all.

Now I can’t really say that there is a set list of benefits to getting your shafts properly fitted, but if you think about it, no two people’s swing is exactly the same. So if you are using equipment that is set up for somebody else, then you are going to be sacrificing your own swing in an effort to make the equipment work.

Obviously this is backwards to the way things are meant to be. In the ideal situation, your equipment should complement your swing. Then any problems associated with your shots can be easily targeted as physical problems and fixed more quickly.

Seeing as club fitting has become so crucial these days, most golfing facilities will be able to help you out with a fitting session, which usually only costs around $100 (depending on where you are).

One of the most important aspects to consider is lie angle, which can relate to the length of the shaft too. It is said that if the lie angle is out by just a few degrees, then your shots could land as far as 40yards either side of where you were aiming.

Other things they will measure are clubhead speed, launch angle, club lie angle, ball contact position and plenty more (again depending on where you get the fitting done).

So if you are looking for a new set of clubs, before you make any quick decisions, it’s definitely best to get yourself fitted to begin with, saving all the hassles later on. Or if there are so many problems with your shots that you really don’t know where to start, then I’d definitely recommend to look at getting some properly fitted clubs first.

--
Matthew Roberts is the creator/author of The Golf Files.

I know that everyone wants to make money online from the comfort of their homes, and there are thousands of sites that all claim to show you how you can do just that. Unfortunately 95% are either scams or just won’t work.

But for anyone interested at looking into all the different ways you can make money online, I have compiled a short list of the main methods people actually use.

Now, these aren’t going to make you instant millionaires, they are just popular ways for you to make a few extra dollars. For all methods, you must usually wait for your earnings to reach a certain amount before you can claim them.

Paid For Clicks

These sites will pay you between 0.02 cents and 1.5 cents each time you click a link on one of their associated web pages. This way you can earn small amounts of money while surfing and reviewing sites. Usually you will also earn more per click after you refer some people to also start using that site.

Paid Email

You are sent 5-10 emails per week, and for each one that you read you will receive 1 or two cents. You will not usually make a lot of money this way, but you can increase the amount you earn by referring others to join.

Lotteries

Enter free lotteries where jackpots can get over $1 million. With this method, you are not guaranteed to win any big money, however you can also earn smaller prizes and vouchers.

Polls/Surveys

Subscribe to take random polls and surveys for companies. Depending on how long the poll or survey is, will depend on how much you are paid. This can range from just a few cents to a few dollars.

Reviews/Rating

Some sites will pay you to write a review or simply rate a product. Good sites that offer this service are hard to come by, and it is unlikely that you will be able to create a constant flow of money.

Affiliate Advertising

(RECOMMENDED)

This is where the big money lies, but you also have to do a bit more work. You join an affiliate site and choose a product to promote. You then advertise on your website (there are many ways to create a website for free), and each time someone clicks on your advertisement and buys the product, you get paid a commission. These commissions can range from one or two dollars to ever one hundred dollars. Some people even make a complete living as an affiliate.

The downside is of course that it requires a bit more work, and you have to know what you are doing. But if you are willing to put in just a little bit of effort (there is not very much work involved at all to make a small income), I have found a FREE resource that will let you in on the secrets to making money as an affiliate. You can CHECK IT OUT HERE, it helped me to take my first steps into affiliate advertising, and I’m sure it will help you.

--
