Dr. Parchment began her medical career with clinical medicine specializing inInternal Medicine for almost fifteen years. Known as a gifted practitioner and diagnostician, Dr. Parchment has received many awards and accolades for her skill, compassion, and her "patient focused" brand of care. In addition to her medical degree, Dr Parchment earned her Masters degree in Public Health and Health Care Administration, which she used to augment her research in the areas of patient care and health care system management. As the former Director of Medical Operations for a leading HMO, Dr. Parchment developed innovations in the areas of Patient Focused Health Care, Medical Review, Utilization Management, and Race and Ethnicity challenges in Health Care. Dr. Parchment's commitment to service and teaching keeps her busy as a lecturer, speaker, and adjunct clinical instructor. Currently, Dr. Parchment is the Director of My Calories Count, a Physician Remedy product. Physician Remedy is a consortium of practicing physicians committed to solving problems and inequities in Health Care. My Calories Count deals specifically with nutrition and weight management issues.
