In one sense, this can be the most important part of your planning because this can determine whether your guests stay at the reception or leave.

You have a variety of options with music and with how it is played, so there are many things to take into consideration. Whatever you decide, here are some tips to choosing just the right music:

The theme of your wedding will decide the music – Having a wedding in Las Vegas is easy. There are plenty of places that already have everything ready for you. For example if you decide to have a western theme for your Las Vegas wedding, you will want to know whether you are doing just a little bit country or having a hoe down. This is important because you want the music to set the mood. But whatever theme you choose, you can be sure that in Las Vegas, you will find it all, that’s because of the countless weddings that they have there each year, wedding season or not.

Decide the type of dancing – The type of music will decide the type of dancing.
One of the most delightful things to get in the mail from your friend is her wedding invitation. When our parents were married they had very few choices as to what their invitations looked like. It was kind of like graduating from high school: you had a few choices of names or how they would look, and they were all white.

Today, you have many more choices when you are designing your Las Vegas wedding invitations and you can start with your theme and follow it through. Many people may not realize how many choices there are in this category.

It may be difficult though with all the other things that you have to plan to really get fancy with your invitations. In order to help you, here is a list of things that you will want to consider:

Your invitation can set the stage for your location-- when you plan your Las Vegas wedding you are going to want to have a unique location. If you have it in a big open-air ground or in a banquet hall, you will want your invitations to reflect that location. There are invitations to reflect any location from the most casual to the most elegant.

Your invitation can complement your wedding party -- when you have chosen the colors for your wedding party, don't skimp on your invitations. Today, there are so many colors that you can directly match or complement your color theme. You can also match colors to the overall theme. As an example, if you are having a spring wedding, you can match spring colors.

Your invitation can continue your wedding theme - if you have a particular theme for your wedding, you can find an invitation to match. You can find everything from spring flowers and symbol designs for your spring Las Vegas wedding invitations.

Your invitation can use a picture that is special to you -- if you have a specific location in Las Vegas, you can get an invitation to reflect that place. This is a unique way to show your guests the flavor of the wedding and get them in the mood.

Your invitation can reflect your budget -- believe it or not, you can get wedding invitations to fit any budget and they can still be elegant. Las Vegas wedding invitations come in a variety of price ranges and styles so you will certainly find one to fit your budget.

You can customize your invitation -- if you can't find just the right invitation, you can also make your own with the help of the card company you choose.

Las Vegas wedding invitations are a great way to give your guests keepsakes and get them ready to attend. On one last note, you can also go to stamps.com and create your own unique wedding stamp. They have several ways to help you with this and this can add the finishing touch to your envelope. Your Las Vegas wedding invitations can be as unique and different as your wedding.

--

http://www.vegaswedlockinvitations.com has beautiful Las Vegas invitations for Las Vegas weddings

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

5 Easy Ways to Update Your Home's Interior

Tired of the same old thing greeting you as you walk through the front door (and we're not talking about your significant other)? Try these five easy steps to liven up your living space for less.

1. Start with a Clean Slate: Truly the first step in revamping an area in your home is to repair and replace anything that needs or calls attention to it. Whether it is that hole left in the wall left from an old nail or a stain in your carpet, this is the time to roll up your sleeves and start checking off the items on your "Honey Do" list. This also includes getting rid of furniture that clutters your space. Consider, as you move things around for replacing and repairing purposes, how you might rearrange the focus of the room by rearranging the furniture.
2. Paint with New Direction: This step appears in all updating lists in the history of interior design. Why? A fresh coat of paint is an inexpensive way to revitalize the walls of your home which, let's face it, comprise the most visible portions of any space. Not sure what color? To have an accent wall or to not have an accent wall? The internet can help you take into account all the factors for choosing the right color (i.e. the size of the room, the color palate of your existing items, etc.). Internet Tip: you can search "images" of remodeled rooms for ideas or even browse paint retailer websites who usually contain their own tips in this important decision.
3. Simpler is Better: If you have busy patterned upholstery, busy patterned drapes, or anything busy for that matter, you need to simplify. Not convinced? Nothing clutters a space more than unnecessary patterns, regardless of the actual clutter piled on the floor and shelves. Quick fixes include slip covers and switching to rugs made from simple solid colors.
4. Accessorize: Now that the area is repaired, painted, and de-cluttered, the fun can now begin. Like accessorizing a good outfit, your home also needs the little details that make all the difference. For example, framed pictures and throw pillows can really spruce up the place, but beware of these tips—discard frames that hold multiple pictures (giving each picture a separate frame draws more attention and importance to the image) and stick with pillows in accent colors, devoid of ruffles. Other accessories include plants, fresh flowers (no dried arrangements, please), and mirrors (a well-placed mirror can optically widen a space).
5. Fix You Fixtures: Even if you can't afford a total revamping of your light, faucet, and handle fixtures, a humble start will get you going in the right direction. Choose one, say the large sphere over the light in your hallway, and upgrade it to something new like a cover made of stain glass.

Now that you've got what you need to really start making a welcome difference in your home, why stop there? Think of what people see as they approach your door and spread the influences your new direction to the doorstep of your home.

--
Go to http://www.sadiejanecontemporaryfurniture.com to find the best contemporary furniture, modern furniture

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Feeding Your Couch a Dose of Microfiber

If you've been inside a furniture store within the past decade, you may have noticed a growing trend in sofa upholstery called Microfiber. This newcomer to couch coverings has made appearances on couches all across America, but what is Microfiber, how do you clean it, and is it really better? This article will help you understand what the big hubbub is all about.

Microfiber material was invented and developed as early as the 1970's. Since then, the material has been commonly made into four types of synthetics—acrylic, nylon, polyester and rayon. What makes it "micro" is that the material's yarn thickness is equal to or less than 1/60th the thickness of an average human hair. This man-made fiber is popular in both the fashion industry and the scientific world because it can be adapted to serve many purposes. Being two times finer than silk, three times finer than cotton, and eight times finer than wool, Microfiber has been created to serve as such things like simple sunglass cloths, scrubbers and mops, and also general cleaning cloths. It is no wonder that this non-abrasive, lint-free material allows optimal success for a variety of purposes.

As a couch covering, Microfiber offers a few appealing features to consumers. For one, the material is highly recommended for allergy sufferers since the fibers leave little to no lint or dust. A sticky roller, the kind used for shirts, can easily remove the little amounts of lint that may stay on the Microfiber. Secondly, Microfiber, in tandem with polyester, absorbs and keeps the original color of the couch better than other materials. In addition, the need for chemicals in its natural stain resistant state is minimal thus decreasing cleaning costs.

If spills and accidents occur, cleaning a Microfiber couch should not be a great task (if it is, you may not have purchased furniture with true Microfiber). A simple solution of soap (a drop of two of mild detergent like dish soap or laundry detergent) and water is what is usually recommended, should the necessity present itself. If the material is holding odors like pet urine and other such things, blotting the area with a mixture of white vinegar and distilled water with an application of baking soda before vacuuming it up should do the trick.

Like any product you purchase, it is a good idea to conduct your own online research about what consumers of Microfiber furniture are saying. Many consumers enjoy the comfort of the Microfiber and find it easily manageable while some, on the other hand, have concerns about the product. For instance, oil deposits, whether from the skin of the human body or drippings from greasy foods, are difficult for many consumers to clean out of the Microfiber fabric. It is fairly safe to have the material steam cleaned if this is the case. Another concern is in regards to water spots left from cleaning an area. An answer to this is to clean the whole surface surrounding the stain thus eliminating the appearance of an isolated water spot.

Though there are many consumers that are happy with the product, these concerns might lead you to purchase a stain guard treatment from the salesperson at the time of purchase. These offers vary, but stain guards are capable of protecting the fabric for 5-10 years with some offers starting as low as $75. There are even some offers that will guarantee stain resistance you can manage or the company will come out and have it cleaned professionally or have the fabric replaced free of charge.

Whatever you decide, whether to go Microfiber or leather, make sure you take the time to make an informed decision.

--
Go to http://www.sadiejanecontemporaryfurniture.com to find the best contemporary furniture, modern furniture

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Mattress Sizes Exposed

Ever wonder what the difference was between a twin and a full-sized mattress? Or how about a king and a California king? This article explores the differences between the most common varieties of mattresses on the market, from smallest to largest.
Twin mattresses, also known as single beds, measure 39" x 75." These are the variety of mattress that is commonly found on daybeds, trundle beds, hideaways, and even most children's beds. However, if you are looking to fit a sheet over a twin bed in a student dormitory, it will likely be slightly longer measuring at 39" x 80." This lengthened twin mattress (named long twin mattress) is primarily used to occupy taller teens and adults and may prove harder to find the appropriate bedding for—just one more reason to get those scholarships to pay for college tuition.
Full twin mattresses, also known as double beds, measure 54" x 75." Though sheets are easier to find than long twin mattresses and are cheaper than most queen and king sheet covers, full twin mattresses are unfortunately too small for many couples to use. Sleeping two adults in one of these will leave each individual with a whole foot less elbowroom than if one where to sleep on a single twin mattress. Also, if the sleeper happens to be taller than the average person, he/she may find that his/her feet hang awkwardly over the edge of the bed being susceptible to various pranks and fierce tickling wars.
Queen size mattresses, celebrating their 50th year since they were introduced by the Simmons Company in 1958, measure 60" x 80." Being both wider and longer than a double bed, queen mattresses are more accommodating to the common marital couple. If your sleeping partner likes to roll outside his/her 30" of respected space, then you may, perhaps, want to upgrade to the king. A lesser-known variety of queen is the California queen, being primarily used for wood framed beds that were formerly used for waterbeds (remember those?). Since waterbeds are gracefully fading into mattress history, so is the necessity for the California queen.
King size mattresses, also celebrating their 50th year since they were introduced by the Simmons Company in 1958, measure 76" x 80." King size mattresses, also known as the Eastern king, is wider than the queen by 16." In order to get an idea about how wide a king is, try pushing your two Desi and Lucy twin beds together (this should equal the 76" in width) giving you a good representation of the king's supremacy. If you have a hard time remembering that a king is wider than a queen, just think of King Henry VIII—have you ever seen that guy's portrait? As for height, however, the king and queen reign equally at an even 80."
The California King, sometimes referred to as the Western king, measures 72" x 84," lying somewhere in the middle of the queen and king sized mattresses. Though it is not as wide as a regular king, it is still 12" wider than the queen and as for length, this champion outweighs the competition beating the regular king by 4."
Whether you want to outfit that extra guest room with a twin bed or two or to simply upgrade your mattress to the next size up, Sadie Jane Furniture hopes that your back will find sufficient rest on the mattress you most desire.

--
Go to http://www.sadiejanecontemporaryfurniture.com to find the best contemporary furniture, modern furniture

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

You've got the popcorn, the remote, and your favorite pair of slippers on your feet. What else do you need? The proper resting place for your posterior, that's what! Here are 10 reasons why theater seats are the way to go.

Reasons to Invest in Theater Seating:

1. Recline-ability: Put your feet up with the sweet reclining feature attached to most home theater seat designs. Compliment your reclined position with a lowered hat and you've got the best disguise for sleeping through the next boring chick flick that comes your way.
2. Cup Holder: Coasters and coffee tables are becoming a thing of the past—no more worrying about those water rings left by thirst-quenching containers.
3. Comfort: Whether you prefer the hard wood seat, the slightly padded cushioning, or the plush-stuffed-to-da-max leather upholstery, you will be able to find the right firmness for your posterior and back.
4. Stylish Designs: Looking for the classic red cushioned theater chairs from the golden years of Hollywood or are you looking for something that has that certain sort of modern flare? Set the right look for your room by determining the right furniture for you.
5. Stylish Upholstery: Leather has made its mark on theater seats. Do you like brown or black? How about burgundy? Would you prefer white or cream-colored leather? Not into leather? That's alright—there is an assortment of materials to choose from.
6. Individual Seating: Have you ever bumped thighs with someone you were sitting next to and then had that awkward standoff where you are both waiting to see who scoots away first? No more compromising your comfort for the sake of congeniality. Theater seating provides a safe haven for your personal space. Everyone's happy. Is there a special someone you wouldn't mind bumping thighs with? No problem. Doublewide theater seats are also available.
7. Adding: Let's say you purchase a row of three, but you find that another chair or two would be perfect. No worries—there are quite a few models that can add onto themselves.
8. Subtracting: Want to downsize? Just eliminate the second row or unhook a chair or two (must have that feature—buyer beware). Just think of all the possibilities you have with theater seats that you don't have with your typical couch set.
9. Vacation in Any Location: You don't need to have a separate room devoted to all things theater like certain celebrities in those crib shows on cable television (i.e. projector and screen with a retro popcorn machine chilling in the corner). Theater seats can go in your living room or even in your game room for that matter. You decide.
10. Party On: For all the reasons listed above and more, theater seats are one main ingredient to a happening get together with friends or even a savvy sweet sixteen birthday party sleepover.

Be the first to get it in your group. Set the trend. You already have theater seating? Then invite your friends over and have a great night indoors. What? No friends? Umm. That's a whole other article…

--
Go to http://www.sadiejanecontemporaryfurniture.com to find the best contemporary furniture, modern furniture

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Ottomans: Thinking Outside the Box

Ottoman, that square'ish box that you often use to rest your tired feet, has expanded its use in the common family living room. From its modest start nearly 300 years ago, this piece of furniture has made the journey from conventional classicism to fresh modernism. You may be surprised to find what an ottoman can do now-a-days.

This small piece of furniture had its humble beginnings in early18th century from Turkish influence, but was only named the "ottoman" nearly a century later. The name of the footrest is believed to have been coined after the French invaded Egypt in the late 18th century, then part of the Ottoman Empire. To rest the weary feet of the Ottomans being forced to walk for large amounts of time, a footrest was supposedly made. The name stuck and the footrest fetish soon spread to other parts of Europe. After becoming wildly popular in Europe, the footrest's fame traveled across the Atlantic to hit furniture makers and stores in the United States.

Manufacturing a typical ottoman involves a combination of style, shape, and function. The construction of a classic ottoman consists of a padded and upholstered low-rise bench or seat with no arms, back, or armrest. Shapes range from rectangular and square-shaped to circular and rounded. If an ottoman is multi-functional, that usually means that the ottoman has a space used for storage, normally made accessible by a either a floating or flip-top lid. Many ottomans also serve as a coffee table for magazines, television remotes, and coffee mugs.

What has changed in the nearly 300 years of ottoman history? Full match leather material has made its mark on the footrest's upholstery. Many consumers enjoy ottomans that boast of at least some compliment of leather, whether it is made light, white, dark brown, or black. Concerning shapes, newer contemporary designs don't deviate much from these forms, but rather reinvent the conception of the shape itself. For example, there is an ottoman that takes the general form of a square, put once you pull out a corner, the footrest expands to reveal segments of triangles. Perhaps the most intriguing modern alterations to the ottoman don't deal greatly with the outward footrest appearance. Like your mama always said, it's what's on the inside that counts.

Ottomans have gone beyond resting the weary travelers' feet and providing enticing storage space options for meticulous homemakers. Ottomans have expanded their role from a chair or sofa accessory to a stand-alone piece of furniture that rivals its other living room contemporaries. Meet the new standard of rollaway beds—accept they don't roll away for storage, rather they sit in the middle of your room all year long in the form of an unimposing ottoman. Ottomans now have the capability of hiding a bed for extended company. The ottoman folds out to reveal a sleeping space with some providing bigger beds than others.

The next time you come into a friend's home and see their sofa set, you may wonder what secrets their ottoman may be hiding just below the surface.

--
Go to http://www.sadiejanecontemporaryfurniture.com to find the best contemporary furniture, modern furniture

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

The Evolution of a Barstool

Over the years, barstools have taken an expanding role in furniture. No longer are the days of the common household, run-of-the-mill barstool. Designers have reinvented this piece of furniture to what some may call a work of art.

If you look at a barstool, what are some things you may notice? For one, you may see it made out of either wood or metal. For another, it may have a backrest, though most do not. You may also notice a footrest. But what sets the stool apart from other common seating furniture? The answer, put simply, is its height. A barstool's seat height can range from anywhere from 26" to 36, " the most common measurement being 30".

Why are barstools popping up in homes across the nation? Barstools, like any other piece of furniture, can say a lot about a person's home or business establishment. Unlike any other piece of furniture, stools are relatively small in size allowing owners to say what they want to say even if given a small amount of space.

Before we take a look at what's new and exciting in the world of stool design, let's flash back to stool designs that are better left alone. Retro stools are popular and wonderful, but we're not talking about those kinds of stools. No. We're talking about the kind you find at Grandma's house- you know, the ones with the plastic wrap still on them? They seem to come in a standard form with little varying. Namely, they are made out of wood and they have neutral-colored cotton fabric upholstery. This used to be the norm in homes across America. What did those stools say about their owners? Not much, at least, not much of anything good.

Moving on to the positive, let's look at some of the designs currently available on the market and what they might say about the person who purchases them. Take the LEM piston stool, for example. This stool is simple in design and is flexible in its height. The LEM Piston Stool can tell the viewer that its owner values simplicity and multi-functionality. Now lets take a look at another design, called the Bertoia Wire Barstool. Like it says in its name, this stool's main feature boasts of an interconnected lattice of silver metal. A wide pillow placed on the seat provides the stool's padding. This stool emanates its roots in the modern movement. Though it doesn't have a piston to adjust its height, this stool may still fit the owner just right. One may derive that whoever purchases this stool values the finer things in life with a zest for freshness.

Want to spice up a room? Well, if you've been reading this far, you should know by now that barstools are the new way to go.

Which stool is right for me? Think of the things that you want said about you. Do you like things simple or do you have a taste for flare? Do you want to tap into the modern world of furniture or do you want to rock it out with retro?

Whatever you decide, know that even the most unassuming piece of furniture can leave a lasting impression.

--
Go to http://www.sadiejanecontemporaryfurniture.com to find the best contemporary furniture, modern furniture

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Tiffany Lamps, Ahead of Their Time

Tiffany lamps are unique and generally sought after. They represent a movement in history as well as a history of an American business. Tiffany lamps have been around for over one hundred years. Its originator, Louis Comfort Tiffany, helped coin it's distinct design. Tiffany lampshades are typically constructed of various bits of stained glass bonded together by copper foil. Unlike many other types of furniture, these lamps are handmade by skilled craftsman.
Since Tiffany products are distinct in design, many forgers have tried to replicate the famous lamps. It is no wonder that these forgers want their work to pass for an original with a value of over $10,000. Many aging techniques are used to make the replicas appear as close to an original early 20th century lamp as possible. Such aging techniques include spraying on forms of dust, soil, or grime.
Unfortunately, these replicas of the Tiffany lamps often fool collectors of fine craftsmanship. Collectors going to get their "Tiffany" lamps appraised expect upwards of $10,000, but leave with an appraisal of less than $300. Today’s collectors of Tiffany lamps need to be well-informed about the product they are considering for purchase. For example, collectors should ask themselves if the lamp in question looks new or, rather, less worn than an original would be had it been over 80 years old. Collectors should not be discourage in their enterprises, but cautioned still the same. After all, a Tiffany lamp was once sold for more than a whopping $8,000,000.
You may ask, what is so appealing about a Tiffany lamp? Sure, there's its fine handmade craftsmanship to consider and the rarity of coveting an original, but what else?
Perhaps the Tiffany lamp best embodies the Art Noveau Movement that began in the late 19th century. Louis Comfort Tiffany was considered by many to be a leader in this "new art" movement. As movements are usually either an extension or reaction of the previous movement, Art Noveau was the latter. In a departure from the academic art that preceded it, Art Noveau was characterized by organic and highly stylized, flowing curvilinear forms. Motifs were especially floral and plant-inspired. Art Noveau encompassed everything from architecture to furniture. With this idea in mind, L. C. Tiffany constructed decorative art using such avenues as stained glass windows, lamps, glass mosaics, blown glass, ceramics, jewelry, enamels, and metalwork. With the help of Tiffany & Co., he was able to produce a number of these products to the masses.
Despite popular belief, Tiffany & Co. was not formed by L.C. Tiffany, but rather his father, Charles Louis Tiffany. When it was started in 1837, the company’s primary product was not fine jewelry and glassworks as it is today. The company was quoted to sell as more of a "stationery and fancy goods emporium." The emphasis later turned to fine jewelry and then, with the addition of Tiffany Studios at the beginning of the 20th century, glass-made products became a common staple to the business as well thus creating the famous lampshades.

--
At http://www.sadiejanecontemporaryfurniture.com you can find the best contemporary furniture, modern furniture.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

So you’ve hired a caterer, decided on a suitable band and booked a venue to die for. You’ve checked on everything including the color of flowers and tablecloths that will grace your dinner table. So, what next? Well, you may want to capture the memories and emotions of the best day of your life for all posterity. When it comes to weddings or western weddings, most couples want to remember every color, every word and every gesture to relive it when they get nostalgic. After all, a marriage is not something you do every other day.

The worst part about western weddings as with any wedding, is that after months and months of meticulous planning they dawn too soon and get over even sooner. The couple in question is too pre-occupied to be aware of every incident that takes place on their wedding day. If the entire event is photographed and videographed, they can sit back later and enjoy the show.

Selecting an appropriate photographer and videographer is critical if you want to immortalize your wedding day. But choosing a fitting photographer or even a videographer for that matter is no piece of cake. You may be made offers by eager-to-please nephews and uncles. Unless they’re professionals, resist the temptation to go with them even if you’re dying to save a few bucks. Do you really want your wedding day to be captured by an amateur with a camcorder?

While deciding on a suitable photographer or videographer, take advice from couples who’ve married recently. It’s infinitely more feasible to choose a company that offers both services (photography and videography) as a combined package. Don’t choose a photographer or a videographer unless you’ve examined samples of his previous work.

There are numerous skilled photographers and videographers, but you have to make sure that they specialize in wedding ceremonies. A photographer may be accomplished at snapping portfolios, doesn’t mean he’s just as good at clicking wedding ceremonies.

Meet up and have a discussion with your prospective videographer and photographer. Keep him in the loop about what events need to be covered and how you want him to go about it. For example, you may want to capture a close-up of your first waltz as a married couple. You may also want pictures taken of particular family members and friends, maybe even of your pets. You may be squeamish about capturing people stuffing their faces at the dinner table. Everybody has different preferences. So, don’t assume that just because the photographer/videographer is a professional he can read your mind. You’ll have to spell it out for him if you don’t want your wedding album or video turned into a fiasco.

Most photographers and videographers will make suggestions that’ll get you all excited and animated. Take a moment here to think about how much that suggestion is going to cost you. Try bargaining for discounts and reduction in prices especially if you’re planning to hire the same company for both services.

It’s not uncommon for a photographer or a videographer to have equipment that suddenly gets damaged on D-day. Therefore, back-up equipment is a must. You don’t want any last-minute snags that will prevent your day from being captured in all its glory. Make sure that extra rolls of film are kept handy.

Selecting a suitable photographer and videographer is a delicate matter since he will be with you on your Wedding Day. So, in addition to possessing all the required attributes, he must be someone who you’re comfortable with. Nobody will be impressed with a grouchy photographer who keeps barking orders on your Wedding Day. Moreover, he should be sensitive enough to capture the mood and emotions of your western wedding ceremony. If you find a photographer or videographer who can do all this and more, your wedding album or video will turn out to be a portfolio of wonderful memories and sentiments.

--
At http://www.westernwedlockinvitations.com you can find the best western weddings, western wedding invitations.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com
