Water resistance

Watches may be crafted to become water resistant. These watches are sometimes called diving watches. The International Organization for Standardization issued a standard for water resistant watches which also prohibits the term "waterproof" to be used with watches, which many countries have adopted. Water resistance is achieved by the gaskets which form a watertight seal, used in conjunction with a sealant applied on the case to help keep water out. The material of the case must also be tested in order to pass as water resistant.

The watches are tested in still water, thus a watch with a 50 meter rating will be water resistant if it is stationary and under 50 meters of still water. For normal use, the ratings must then be translated from the pressure the watch can withstand to take into account the extra pressure generated by motion. Watches are classified by its degree of water resistance, which roughly translates to the following:

"	Water resistant - Will tolerate splashes of water or rain

"	50 meter - Usable while showering, bathing, dishwashing, and swimming in shallow water

"	100 meter - Usable while swimming, and snorkeling

"	150 meter - Usable during general water sports

"	200 meter - Usable during general water sports, including free diving

"	Diver's 150 meter - ISO standard for scuba diving

Some watches use bar instead of meters, which may then be multiplied by 10 to be approximately equal to the rating based on meters. Therefore, a 10 bar watch is equivalent to a 100 meter watch. Some watches are rated in atmospheres (atm), which are roughly equivalent to bar.

--

Because I like watches I wanted to make available a nice variety of watches that are affordable, so...

Nice Timing Watches carries brand name men's, ladies and children's watches at discount prices. Casio originally began a calculator company, but once the elctronic watches became the standard, Casio used its extensive electronics expertise to gain a share in the watch making market. Casio watches were first released in 1974, 17 years after they had begun making calculators. The first Casio watch was a chronometer called the Casitron, which was ahead of its time. This watch contained automatic date adjustments for longer and shorter months, and for leap years. Following the release of this original watch, Casio continued to capture a good share in the watc market, releasing more advanced watches each time.

Today Casio's most popular product is the G-Shock and Baby-G line of watches, named for their shock resistance. These watches are aimed at the sports enthusiast, an are known for their sturdy construction. They are available in a wide range of styles for men and women, including one style that boasts a 10-year battery, and others that are powered by sunlight or artificial light. The most redent release of the G-Shock also contains a memory function which allows the user to store email addresses and URL's. The memory function is limited, allowing the storage of only about seven addresses or websites, but is still a sought after feature in the watch market today. All in all, Casio is one of the best choices in the market for the sports minded person who's in search of rugged and affordable timepieces.

--

Because I like watches I wanted to make available a nice variety of watches that are affordable, so...

Nice Timing Watches carries brand name men's, ladies and children's watches at discount prices.

A little bit about my store, Horses, Cowboys and Indians Western Decor. Since I love the western decor theme and being artistically inclined, I needed an outlet for my Gourd Art and Horseshoe Art, so I opened this store. I looked around for other products to stock here since it is a bit difficult to find quality western decor. I think I have succeeded in this as I have a nice selection of reasonably priced items to offer for sale. You can't just visit my store once and say that you have seen everything because I am constantly adding new items from my suppliers, and occasionaly taking some items off because they are no longer available, but I am constantly creating new Gourd and Horseshoe Art too, and no 2 pieces are alike. Most of the horseshoe items we have you can purchase more than one of because we can make more of most of them. But the site is always changing so come back often to see what's new.

The latest thing we have added is a free certificate with every purchase to join a Travel Club that offers discounts on cruises and hotels, two for one airfares. We think it makes a great thank you gift.

So come by and check out the store often for new items and rest assured that your ordering is secure. www.horsescowboysandindians.com

The Real Face Of The American Cowboy

The high time of the American cowboy lasted a bare generation, from the end of the Civil War until the mid-1880's, when bad weather, poor range management and disastrous cattle-market prices forced an end to the old freewheeling ways. In that brief span the number of cowboys who rode the cattle trails across the Great Plains totaled no more than 40,000. As surviving photographs suggest, most cowhands were surprisingly young (their average age was only 24), and despite their steely gaze and the guns they may have put on especially for the camera, they seemed to have a lot of the bumpkin in them.

Yet neither flash impressions nor bare statistics can take the true measure of the cowboys or dim the elemental stage presence and the riveting appeal they generated in their own time and forever afterward. They were men of a particular time and place, living by a code compounded of hardfisted frontier desperation and Victorian-era social values, performing body-punishing and hazardous jobs, and pitting themselves against a land of sweeping grandeur that offered prodigious drafts of misery. For each man these harsh realities of range life manifested themselves in different ways. Yet they also emphasize the enduring quality and the acceptance of his lot that characterized virtually every cowboy.

--

A little about myself; Even though I live in Southern California I am a country girl at heart. I come from a farming family and am proud of my western heritage. I own horses and love to ride, I also love to create artistic pieces of art such as gourd art and horseshoe art. I needed an outlet for all my creations, so that is why I opened this store, Horses, Cowboys & Indians Home Decor

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

A little bit about my store, Horses, Cowboys and Indians Western Decor.

Since I love the western decor theme and being artistically inclined, I

needed an outlet for my Gourd Art and Horseshoe Art, so I opened this store.

I looked around for other products to stock here since it is a bit difficult

to find quality western decor. I think I have done this as I have a nice

selection of reasonably priced items to offer for sale. You can't just visit

my store once and say that you have seen everything because I am constantly

adding new items from my suppliers, but I am creating new Gourd and Horseshoe

Art too. I have found a source for nostalgic tin signs with a rustic

country theme that I think are really nice. Also I have found a line of cast

iron items that are pretty cute and reasonably priced. Now, the Liberty

Bronze Collection of horses, cowboys and indians are great. They are made

from alabastrite or stone resin and finished with a bronze-like finish that

makes them look and feel like real bronze. From a distance you can't tell

that they are really bronze. They are very nice and make great gifts.

The latest thing we have added is a free certificate with every purchase to

join a Travel Club that offers discounts on cruises and hotels, a great thank

you gift.

So come by and check out the store often for new items and rest assured

that your ordering is secure. www.horsescowboysandindians.com

--
A little about myself; Even though I live in Southern California I am a country girl at heart.
