Konami will be maximizing its access to current-gen game technology to make necessary improvements in terms of the gameplay. More than just including some more new additions into the foray, the game will also receive some major visual enhancements that will hopefully create a more realistic overall game.

The most apparent enhancement is the menu system, which is comparably easier to navigate and control. Before even its set release date, Metal Gear Solid 4 is already creating buzz all over the gaming community. The tagline for the game remains to be “No Place to Hide” and that is taken literally as this game will focus around Solid Snake's efforts to hunt down and capture Liquid Snake. Although still working along the tagline “No Place to Hide”, the game maybe taking a turn towards a more gung-ho feel of action.

Sadly though for fans of the series, this could be the last installment of the Metal Gear franchise. But no need to worry, Kojima have learned from previous Metal Gear Solid games and included some useful upgrades and enhancements for what seems to be Metal Gear's final installment. One of the major improvements is in the button set-ups; the developers believe that because the game's action goes in a very fast pace, it cannot afford to have complicated controls. You can be assured that you'll have none of these problems in MGS4 since all you need to press is the triangle button when doing simple tasks. It shouldn't involve complicated button patterns really, even for executing attacks in battle scenes.

Also getting enhancements is the combat mode, which is quite useful in the entire gaming adventure. Following on a few changes made in MGS3, this version is now equipped with a third-person view, which is quite similar to Resident Evil 4's Gamecube users. This new technique does not guarantee a completely flawless aim every single time but with this option at your disposal, it makes life even better for you.

The alert system in previous MGS games can be quite distracting as you have to take your eyes off the action and check on a little radar screen located at the corner. Previously, you had this little radar screen located at the top of the display which shows you Solid Snake's line of vision, but most gamers found this one a bit distracting and can often get in the way of your sight of the game's surrounding environment. Instead of that tiny screen, there is now an “invisible” ring that follows Solid Snake around, so you won't have to take your eyes off of him. This ring will also change in color and become more solid as danger increases.

As if that wasn't enough, there are two new features introduced in the MGS4: the psych and stress meters. What it basically does is to control your level of adrenaline and stress, to make sure that you are at your best when it comes to battling with enemies. The psych mode is pretty exciting, as you gain quicker reflexes and more precise aiming when the adrenaline surge is maxed out. So you need to be able to build a focus instead of pitching yourself in way too many battles. When you notice that these meters start to rise up, take the time to calm yourself down perform more effectively. It gives a more tactical approach to the game, which makes fans look forward to playing the game when it is released for the PS3.

If there is one thing you can expect from a Metal Gear Solid game, it would be that the graphics and animation would be visually beautiful. The blasting and explosive sounds are just the type you need for an action/adventure game of Metal Gear Solid 4's caliber. The only thing that remains uncertain for this game as of now is its online mode. But despite that, fans are just awaiting for the release of the Metal Gear Solid 4 to try out what could be the last of the franchise.

Not forgetting to mention that for this game, you'll be able to play two new character jobs: the Onion Knight and the Dark Knight. With the Onion Knight, you will be able to add to your strength while also compromising some of your other abilities. With the Dark Knight, however, you can smash your opponents, take their magic points from them and incorporate it into yours so you can be a real asset to the game. Isn't that a nice little touch?

Aside from these two, you'd have various other Jobs in the game that you will need to take the time to learn their abilities. The trailer scenes, who has had a seemingly hand drawn effect to it, looked quite astonishing and also making the game look more credible.

Also, the trailer scenes in Final Fantasy Tactics looked pretty impressive with the hand painted look in them, supporting the games' credibility. To add more thrill to your gaming, you'll have more character jobs which will take you various of levels to master; but in the end, it should pay off knowing that you have 60 battle maps to explore. Aside from the two mentioned above, you'd have more character jobs available in FF Tactics.

Some characters from previous Final Fantasy games are returning to partake in an unbridled adventure for Final Fantasy Tactics: Wars of the Lions. You might recognize some of the characters in this game as some of them are returning for War of the Lions, such as Balthier from Final Fantasy XII and Luso from FF Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire.

Indeed, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions challenges RPG gamers to an adventure unlike any other with this latest from the beloved classic game series. And fans shouldn't despair even though War of the Lions serve mainly as an expansion, other than an entirely new installment. This makes things even more interesting as it has taken its leap from the basic premises of the game and infusing more flavor to it. Final Fantasy has earned a reputation of continually delivering the kind of excitement you can expect from the franchise and this latest one is no different.

Still using the same proven and reliable approach that was used on previous versions, Ratchet & Clank Future on the PS3 is everything that fans can expect from the game, only now it promises to be even better. Whatever it is that can be said about this new Ratchet & Clank, one thing is for sure and that is it is indeed graphically superior. Also, there's been rumors spreading around that this isn't really an entirely new game but an refurnished version of the PS2 game. We'll get to see that once it's officially released. Pretty promising, huh?

One thing that should be owed for Ratchet & Clank's success is its sticking to the formula that has endeared many of its fans. Aside from that, it has also been added with some new gameplay elements with a next-gen polish.

You will need to settle a few things first before you get started on your adventure in Monster Hunter Freedom. From there, you can choose the exact details of your character's physical appearance from the face, skin color, hair type, etc.

Then, as an RPG, you will take your character around the village and scoping out the scene of this small village. While doing this, you should be able to find shops there and you can check them out as well. The camera angle for this game definitely makes it doubly hard to maintain a close sight range on those monsters. And if that is not frustrating enough, you'd even have to deal with the controls while in combat with these monsters. You will have to make the most of your quickness to help remedy problems such as this.

To begin with, you'd have access to four kinds of weapons: a crossbow, a sword, a hammer and a lance. Eventually, as you move up higher through your missions, you'll be able to use better weapons and your combat skills will also have been improved greatly.

The three types of cars that you will be using in Need for Speed are Tuner, Muscle, and Exotic. No matter which of these types of cars you choose as your starter, later on you will be able to unlock other types of cars different from what you initially have. This will also enable you to have a nice variety of cars in your collection.

The latest edition of the Need for Speed game series on the PS2, just as the earlier games in the series, it is easy to master and play with the game's controls. It is quite sensitive as you would have expected from a gaming heavyweight like EA. Those parts in the game wherein you have to 'drift' round the Canyon Corners could be quite disappointing as you might end up braking heavily just to keep your car from going over the cliff.

The boost button is one other thing that needs pointing out when you talk about this game. Because the controls of this game are quite similar with the controls for the Burnout games, it is easy to get confused among the two. But you have to remember that the boost button used for Burnout is L1, while that of the Need for Speed is R1.

Need for Speed Carbon features quite a diverse lineup of artists signed up for this edition. And to help achieve the kind of atmosphere it is aiming for, EA has employed the use of songs and sound effects to make every gaming experience as real as it can get. Also the overall feel and mood of the game makes it so much easier for the player to integrate himself into the fantasy world of the game because it feels so real as it is. EA has even gone to as far as recording real-life car models like Porsche's, Lamborghini's, Mitsubishi's, etc. to be used in the game.

For this edition, there are some exciting new Drift races that you can compete in but you can finish up the entire race without having to run a single one. The game is also comparably shorter than Most Wanted because the latter would require you to complete the Blacklist, aside from pitting against 14 bosses (compared to only 4 for Carbon).

The key to getting the best out of every experience while playing this game is always to upgrade your cars. If you want, you can make use of the Autosculpt feature that lets you personalize the look and settings of your car by utilizing any possible combination that your imagination would like to try. That would be a perfect little touch to a game that, although lacks an online feature, has got enough offline activity to keep your gaming time worthwhile.
