ID cards and badges are used to verify the identity of different people such as employees, students, event participants, and more. Utilizing ID cards in your business, school, or special event adds extra security so that you can ensure that only those who should be present are present. It’s very important that you take extra precautions when considering using ID cards to ensure that there is minimum risk of counterfeit or duplicating the badges or cards. This is especially important when dealing with companies that harbor classified information or large amounts of money.

There are many different security features that can be used singly or in combination in order to make your company’s ID cards as secure as possible. Adding custom secure foils to ID cards and badges is one way to make it even easier to verify the authenticity of the cards and card holders just by looking at the card.

Holograms are another way to add an extra punch of security to your ID cards. By creating a custom design to be laminated over your cards, you are making it virtually impossible to duplicate. The holographic images are embedded on the surface of your company’s ID cards. Adding very small text called micro text within the holographic images even further enhances fraud protection. Along these same lines, UV inking is another way to add something unique to your ID cards that cannot easily be duplicated. In fact, UV inking is used by the Federal Government.

One basic way to add security to your ID cards and badges is simply to laminate your company’s cards. This slightly enhances security by having a barrier that discourages card alteration. Laminating cards is also functional, as it adds durability to cards that will be used for a prolonged period of time.

Photo ID cards are much more secure than non-photo ID cards. The fundamental reason for using photo ID cards is so that you can identify the card holder by both name and photograph. One thing to make sure is that you use satisfactory photographs that clearly show the card holder’s face in natural light, in high resolution.

Another way to utilize ID cards is making cards for your children. Giving each of your children their own ID card that includes the child’s photo, height, weight, date of birth, hair color, other identifying features, allergies, and medical information is essential for all children. Child ID cards are the best way for lost children to be identified, as well as a quick and easy way for parents to give information regarding a missing or lost child to the authorities. If you plan on getting child ID cards for each of your children, you may want to consider getting some extras to give to the babysitters, relatives, and other people who take care of your children while you’re away.

Employee ID badges help to make your company safe and secure. Not only will your company feel more supported and secure; by using employee ID badges, you are adding a sense of community to your company, like having nametags on during a party. Your employees will be able to call each other by name instead of referring to each other by position.

School ID badges are also becoming more popular in various school systems throughout the United States. ID badges can be used for much more than simply verifying identification. Students can use their badges at the dining hall, when using computers, or to check books out of the library. Some schools have begun using ID badges to track attendance.

As you can see, there are numerous ways that ID cards and badges can be implemented in your company, school, or other organization. Consider utilizing ID badges in your organization or during a special event to add security and build community. If you need ID cards or badges for a company that protects information or large amounts of money, do be sure to utilize one of the many added security features that can help to make your company more secure.

AlphaCard.com is the premier resource for finding information about ID card systems

--
AlphaCard.com is the premier resource for finding information about ID card systems

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

A lot of you may be wondering if doing your Isagenix cleanse during the holidays would be a waste of time and money.

The answer is definitely No. In fact--just the opposite. How many times has January arrived in your life and your “go to” best work pants are too tight? The buttons on your favorite blouse are gaping? And the very worst of all: those new shoes you got for a steal at the pre-christmas sale at Nordstroms are pinching your feet and you haven’t even left the house yet? Or you get on the scale on January 2 and almost faint. You had a great time at the parties, tasting and nibbling those special homemade goodies made by someone’s Aunt Edna—and even allowed the hostess to send a baggie of them home with you.

It doesn’t have to be that way every January! It’s still 2 ½ weeks until January and you don’t have to start 2008 feeling disgusted with yourself. Think about how would it feel to start the New Year feeling good, feeling great about yourself for a change?!!

The holidays are a great time to cleanse and you will still have fun and feel fantastic on top of everything else!

Everyone else will gain while you lose weight—and since your body will crave healthy foods & snacks if you EAT healthy foods and snacks, it will be effortless on your part because you will have overcome your cravings for unhealthy foods during your cleanse. This is one of the greatest benefits and “side effects” of the Isagenix products. And it happens because the Isagenix Cleansing and Fat-Burning System products are filled with 100% of the body’s nutritional requirements, making cravings become a thing of the past. You need only arrange your schedule so that your “Cleanse Days” do not fall on Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve, and your “Shake Days” do.

For example, start your 9-day cleanse on Wednesday, December 19—making your Cleanse Days Dec. 19 & 20, and Dec. 26 & 27. On your Shake Days (Dec. 21 through 25 and from December 28 on), you’ll be drinking your delicious Isagenix shakes in place of two meals: either breakfast & lunch, or breakfast & dinner. This adjustable Shake Days schedule allows you to eat sensibly in the evening if you’re at a party or if your traditional Christmas dinner is mid-day or mid-afternoon.

Keep in mind that the Isagenix Cleanse for Life Drink is not just as cleanse nor is it a fast–the 4 oz of Cleanse for Life juice with 8 oz of water is wholesome, liquid food! You are not starving yourself, and because you aren’t, you won’t be as tempted by all the goodies around you at parties and holiday get-togethers as you might expect. More likely you’ll find yourself gravitating toward the vegetable platter and feeling happy about it! You’re going to feel great, have more energy, and experience the most restful, peaceful sleep you’ve had in years.

The key words here are “eat sensibly.” You can do it! Have a couple of Aunt Edna’s homemade Hungarian cookies—it’s Christmas and it’s okay! You are going to find that your body will still respond to the cleansing juice, snacks and shakes, and you will be amazed at how the Isagenix Fat-Burning System will help you shed pounds during the cleanse and after. You can eat sensibly during the holidays and still enjoy yourself.

HINT-HINT: You can complete a 9-day cleanse by Christmas if you begin it on December 12, 13, 14 or 15. Enjoy a Christmas in your favorite party clothes and start your New Year feeling on top of the world!

Think about how great you’re going to look and feel!!!

Marcia Lency is a cleansing coach and expert and has helped hundreds of people to cleanse and lose weight with Isagenix.
Did you know....
...that your body stores excess toxins and impurities in fat cells? Your liver is working hard 24/7 to process them all, but it can't keep up.

...that to keep the extra impurities out the bloodstream, your body creates fat cells to store those toxins?

...that fat is metabolically inactive, and that no matter how hard you exercise, your body won't let go of that fat until the impurities are gone?

...that all adults have years of accumulated toxic waste and chemicals (called mucoidal plaques) stored in the lining of our digestive tract, from pesticides, air pollution, food additives, preservatives, chlorine in water, etc, all absorbed from foods we've eaten, drank and absorbed through our skin?

...that these accumulated toxins stored in our body are the main reason that we no longer feel and look our best? That they cause us to often feel we have less energy for daily activities? That they're a big reason we become sick?

...that your liver can cleanse the toxins and impurities from your body if you do not eat solid food for 48 hours?
Why Isagenix Works
The Isagenix cleanse programs aren't diets. They are aptly called fat-burning systems because, along with cleansing the toxins, they cause the fat cells to be cleansed away as well. The Isagenix system is comprised of 4 main products that provide over 240 nutrients, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbs and enzymes.

Additionally, the Cleanse for Life drink doesn't just cleanse--it is a nutrient-rich liquid food consisting of 70 minerals and natural botanicals, all organic, to help you feel nourished and energetic while the cleansing process is underway. The products contain no caffeine, no ma huang, not stimulants--just liquid food that feeds your body and doesn't starve it.

Tips To Make It Work
Both the Isagenix 9-day and 30-day cleanse programs can give your liver that "vacation" it deserves by allowing your liver and digestive system to cleanse itself and regroup. Once that's done, your liver is able to process the stored toxins. The fat cells open, releasing the toxins for the liver to deal with, and once those cells open, the body naturally sheds the fat also. Ridding our bodies of years of accumulated impurities creates many profound effects: We feel revitalized, reenergized, and rejuvenated and are on our way to preventing future disease.
•	drink about 100 ounces of water a day to dilute the impurities your body is flushing out. Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up. Try your first 4 oz of Cleanse for Life drink straight up, over ice. Follow it with a glass of water after each of your 4 Cleanse for Life drinks that day.
•	Try your 4 oz of Cleanse for Life drink blended with 8 oz of water to dilutes the taste. You can add a little organic sweetener called Stevia, if you prefer.
•	Drink water, water, water, all day long.
•	Eat or suck slowly on the 8 fat-burning snacks throughout the day--whether you feel hungry or not--and have a glass of water with each snack. They keep your metabolism working!
•	Take your Accelerator capsules with your first and third Cleanse for Life drinks of the day (8am and 4pm approx.)
•	Take your IsaFlush at night before you go to bed.
Keep in mind that you're doing something entirely new to your body--giving your liver a vacation after years of exhaustive operation--and it will thank you in ways you won't believe.

If you're hungry on your cleanse days, celebrate!! It means your metabolism is healthy and you're going to see great results.

If you're feeling "off" or uncomfortable, that's another reason to feel happy because what you're feeling is the effects of the impurities leaving your system. Drink more water.

If you're feeling light-headed or dizzy, this could indicate low blood sugar, and it is okay to have a few slices of apple, celery sticks, or a few almonds, but keep it to a minimum.

All you have to do is "make it" to day 3 -- your first wonderful shake day! Your shakes contain every nutritional requirement the body needs and are pleasant, filling, and satisfying. Mix them in a blender with exactly 5 ice cubes, it really makes them smooth and frothy-- they're wholesome and taste delicious. [On the 10th day (after your 9-day cleanse) you can toss in 1/2 a banana, a few blueberries, or a couple of strawberries, but try to keep your first 9 days free of solid food so your liver can really get that break it needs.]
DON'T QUIT -- YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!
Marcia Lency is a cleansing coach and expert and has helped hundreds of people to cleanse and lose weight with Isagenix.
How to Choose Siding

Outside of remodeling your kitchen or building an addition, installing siding on the exterior of your home is the single most effective home renovation project that you can under take. You can expect a return on investment in the range of 85-88%, depending on the type of siding material you choose. What should you look for when choosing siding and how best to select the style and color for your home? Let’s examine the many options available to ensure the most successful installation possible.

Gauge the difference

One of the most common reasons for deciding to install siding is to provide superior protection from the elements. In areas where wind and rain can prematurely age a wood paneled exterior, vinyl siding is an excellent way to extend the life of your home and eliminate the need for painting. Vinyl siding comes in a variety of gauges – an increased panel depth equals a greater defense against weather related forces. Finding a balance between price and gauge is an important factor when choosing siding for your home.

Vinyl or Aluminum

If you live in a region frequented by severe weather, especially hail storms, vinyl siding is your best choice, as it is resistant to dings and dents. However, aluminum siding is a popular alternative in a wide range of other climates and is extremely economical. Benefits include its ability to repel water and yet remain relatively rust resistant, as well as its insulating qualities. Unlike vinyl siding, aluminum siding obtains its color from a coat of paint at the factory, so while it will remain relatively maintenance free for years to come, eventually it will need to be repainted.

There have been several recent technological advances in the development of vinyl siding that have served to increase the likelihood that vinyl is your best option. These improvements have created vinyl siding with increased insular properties and improved strength, although they come at an elevated cost. If you can afford to go the high tech route, than you will no doubt reap the long term reward of lower energy costs and above average resale value.

Keeping Up Appearances

Siding was designed with the intent to mimic the look and texture of wood. With this in mind, choose the siding that most reflects the style of your home. There are numerous profiles available to enhance its appearance and create a visually appealing façade. Variations include a traditional clapboard siding, the more decorative dutchlap or an intricate beaded profile. Further options are also available and include the cedar-like “shakes” patterned siding and the ornamental scalloped-edged design.

Of the many choices you expect to make when choosing siding, what color siding you should select will probably be the easiest decision you will have to make. While the color palette offers a wide range of options, most are fairly neutral and up until recently were rarely found in darker shades. Again, technology has pushed the envelope, adding rich red and vibrant yellow tones to the available color spectrum.

ArchitecturalDepot.com is the leading provider of molding on the internet.
When designing a public building or a custom house, an architect is often looking for opportunities to include unique design touches. Since ancient times, one of the more distinctive architectural touches of choice for both public and private buildings has been the column.

Greek Columns

The columns used in construction of ancient Greek buildings that survive today can be divided into three architectural categories: Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. Primarily differentiated by the design of the column's top, Greek columns are also distinguishable by their bases and the relative width of the column's shaft.

Another distinguishing characteristic of Greek columns is that they were often "fluted," meaning that they had channels carved into the shaft running parallel to one another along its length. The aesthetic tradition for fluting called for twenty four channels along each column.

The three styles of Greek columns developed over time from basic to ornate as the Greek civilization grew, prospered and invested in public grandeur.

Doric Columns

Generally speaking, the oldest and simplest design among the Greek columns is the Doric. The Doric column's top, known as the capital, is a simple saucer-shaped design that is wider than the column's shaft and opens upward to support the square top surface which in turn provides the structural support for which the column is designed.

Ionic Columns

The Ionic style of the Greek column has a capital that features a carved scroll curving out from each corner of its square top. These scrolls, also called spirals or helixes, are often connected in the carving - resembling a piece of paper with both ends wrapped and curled downward.

Corinthian Columns

The Corinthian Greek column is the most ornate and the most slender of the three designs. The base of a Greek column was more functional than decorative until the Corinthian style was developed. The capital on a Corinthian design has carved acanthus leaves, often wrapped around carved scrolls and interspersed with carved flowers or other ornamentation.

Roman Columns

The ancient Roman civilization adopted many of the social, cultural and physical characteristics of the Greek era that preceded the Roman Empire. There are many facets of Roman architecture that can be recognized as having originated in Greece and the Roman column is one of them. The Romans adopted the three Greek architectural styles for columns – Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian – and added two of their own: the Tuscan and Composite.

These five design variations are the principal styles found in Roman columns. Very similar in style to Greek columns, the principal differences in Roman column designs are in the bases and the capitals.

Tuscan Columns

The simplest Roman column is the Tuscan, which is an adaptation of the Greek Doric style. But unlike the Doric, the Tuscan has no base, no fluting and a saucer shaped top that supports a flat square area above it.

Roman Doric Columns

The Roman version of the Doric columns have bases and a top similar to the Tuscan; the shafts are fluted but with fewer and shallower channels than the Greek style.

Roman Ionic Columns

Roman columns in the Ionic style have capitals that feature scrolled carvings at the corners of the square top. They are similar but more ornate than their Greek counterpart.

Roman Corinthian Columns

The Corinthian design is the most elaborate of the Greek styles adopted by the Romans. Its capital features detailed carvings of leaves and flowers, often extending down the column.

Composite Columns

The Composite style is a Roman column that combines features of both the Greek Ionic and Corinthian designs. This elaborate and intricate carving style incorporated the acanthus leaves and floral designs with the scrolls or spirals found in Ionic designs.

Architectural columns can be decorative, load bearing, or both no matter which style is chosen and have a number of uses that range from the purely functional to intricately decorative.

Columns.net is the leading provider of interior/exterior architectural columns.
Asylum law is a general term that applies to any person or group who is victimized in their home country and flees to another country or state to escape. Since the Second World War, one of the most prolific admitters of asylum seekers has been the United States. Since 1980, over two million refugees alone have been admitted to the United States.

As one of ten countries accepting asylum seekers and refugees currently in 2006, they have outdone their fellow countries by accepting double the amount of refuges, more than any other participating country to date.

The United States follows international and federal laws regarding asylum, and fully one tenth of asylum seekers have also been refugees admitted into the US. The United State's practices regarding asylum are set out in a convention from 1951 called the 'Convention relating to the Status of Refugees.' Later in 1980, this convention was broadened when congress passed the 'Refugee act of 1980.'

According to its protocols, a person is defined as a refugee if they have fled to the US because of the fear or enactment of persecution on protected ground in their home country or a home state that didn't or couldn't offer protection.

The laws regarding asylum are enforced by the attorney general and are awarded on the basis of the criteria mentioned above; fear of recrimination for gender or sexual prejudice is included as well. The defendant must establish, however, that they are indeed a victim of persecution in their home country to the satisfaction of the grantor.

Each year, the US sets a 'refugee ceiling' which is the number of refugees they'll permit to immigrate into the US for the duration of that year. The number is subject to the discretion of the government and is usually the focus of anti-immigration groups and pro-refugee lobbyists alike, the former seeking to lower the number and the latter seeking to raise it higher.

There are two different applications potential asylum seekers or refugees must complete; one is the 'Application for Resettlement by Refugees Abroad' and the other is the 'Application for Asylum by Refugees in the United States.'

MyAbogado.com is a popular legal directory that helps users locate legal professionals across the country while providing the legal community and litigation support providers with a low cost method to market their services to other professionals and members of the public across the country.
How Do I Find A Good Immigration Lawyer?

Finding a good lawyer is one of the most important things you can do for yourself if you're looking for help with immigration issued. As in any other field of law, a good immigration lawyer who knows the ropes and understands every aspect of immigration law is imperative to winning your case, filing your papers, or any other action you pursue.

However, immigration lawyers are not created equal. There are some who excel and others who are terrible and everything in between. The most important thing to think about before you begin your research is whether or not they specialize in their field.

This is important, as an immigration lawyer who specializes in amnesty law may not be the best person to choose for deportation matters, and vice versa. They should have direct experience in their sector of immigration law. Of course, many immigration lawyers have several specialties, so just make sure that, above all, they have experience with cases similar to yours (as well as decent results).

Another thing to check for is background. You can find out what school they applied to, where they took their bar exam, what professional associations they belong to and much more. This is especially important in knowing who is a professional with the license to help you and who just wants your money.

Make sure the immigration lawyer you choose belongs to the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). While this isn't the only indicator of a lawyer's worth, anyone with legitimate credentials who pays a fee can get in. This weeds out the real fakes and allows you to narrow down your list and focus on reputations.

Reputations, reputations, reputations. This can't be stressed enough. If a lawyer has been in the news a lot for positive cases, serves as a source for newspapers or anything similar, you can bet they're pretty good at what they do.

References and a successful track record are a must. If you can, get your hands on some references and do some research online. Forums, chat rooms and the like are great places to find valuable information about the lawyer you're looking into.
Here are some common terms for people who are pursuing action under US immigration law. These are some definitions of common terms that crop up in the everyday, though most people have only a vague idea about what they actually mean; here is a chance to find out.

Citizen:

A citizen is someone who hold citizenship, which is defined as state wherein a person holds membership in a political community and whose rights, social and political, are defended by the country where they maintain citizenship. A citizen has political rights, such as voting, whereas a non-citizen does not. While similar to the term 'nationality;' citizenship differs because you can have a nationality with having citizenship (this means you are subject to the laws of the country of your nationality, but have no political participation rights). It is also possible to have political rights without being the national of a state as long as you are a citizen.

Native-born citizen:

A native-born citizen is a citizen who was born in their country of citizenship. If a person is born in any country, they are automatically given fully legal citizenship at the moment of birth. A person is considered to be a citizen at birth if they’re jus soli, or born in the country in a certain place, even with non-native parents. They are also considered a citizen at birth via jus sanguinis, which is descent from a citizen of the country in which they were born. Either of these factors or a combination of both constitutes natural citizenship. If a person is both born in the country of citizenship to citizens of that country, they are considered a native-born-citizen. Both positions have all the same legal rights in a country; they're simply different ways of categorizing people.

Naturalized citizen:

A naturalized citizen is a person who chooses to voluntarily apply for citizenship (and gets it) in a country that is not their place of origin. People who apply for naturalization run the gamut from immigrant workers to refugees and aliens. Usually a person must meet certain requirements before becoming a naturalized citizen.

Dual citizen:

A dual citizen is a person who holds citizenship in two countries. An example might be if a child was born to Costa Rican parents in the US. They would hold not only US citizenship, but Costa Rican citizenship as well. Another example would be if a child was born to an American parent and a Costa Rican parent in Costa Rica. The child would be a Costa Rican citizen, but could apply for naturalization in the US. Keep in mind that some countries, like the US and Cuba, don't allow dual citizenship due to unresolved political disputes.

Alien:

Legally, an alien is anyone who is not a natural or native citizen of the country in which they live or work. Legal aliens are those allowed to stay in a country if they meet a specific set of criteria; a resident alien is one who has a permanent or temporary living space; a non-resident alien is what anyone is considered if they legally visit another country other than their own; In law, an alien is a person who is not a native or naturalized citizen of the land where they are found; an illegal alien is a citizen of one country who resides illegally in another country; an enemy alien is a person designated an enemy of the country they're in on.

MyAbogado.com is a popular legal directory that helps users locate legal professionals across the country while providing the legalcommunity and litigation support providers with a low cost method to market their services to other professionals and members of the public across the country.
