Of all breeds of cats, the Siamese cat is the ideal cat for the owner who wants a demonstrative and loving cat. Known to be extroverts, Siamese cats are outgoing and sociable. They know who their owners are and are frequently seen shadowing their owner wherever they go.

Siamese cats depend on human beings for their survival since they do not possess several traits typically seen in cats. The color of their hair may be good to look at but not good as camouflage. They cannot roam around during the night because they cannot see clearly in low lighted areas. And their hearing sense is less sensitive than those of other breeds of cats.

Siamese cats thrive on company. They love to be around people, which is the reason why it is not advisable to have a Siamese cat if you live alone and are often out. If you do plan to have a Siamese cat as a pet, then make sure there is someone to be with the cat. Or better yet, get another Siamese cat to pair up with your pet cat.

If there is no other Siamese cat available, you can get another feline since it there are other breeds that can be matched with your Siamese cat. You can pair your Siamese cat with another cat breed as long as they will get along. You may need to consult your veterinarian or a cat expert on which breed can be put together with a Siamese.

Make sure to provide them with toys or any activity that can occupy their time. It can be a toy mouse, a ball of string, or even a post for scratching. This will provide some entertainment for your Siamese cats as well as prevent them from using and destroying your own furniture for their play.

A woman would probably envy the metabolism of a Siamese cat since they eat big sized portions of food and yet do not grow fat. It is probably because these cats eat just the right amount of food that will make them full. Anything beyond it, they leave on their plates. So if you notice that there is always a bit of food left on their plates, it may mean that you are giving too much food and must be lessened on the subsequent meals. On the other hand, if they seem to be searching for more to eat, they may still be hungry. Try adding another portion of food whenever you give your Siamese cat a meal until you notice that they are quite satiated. And when they are, take note of the portion you need to feed your cat for their every meal.

A Siamese cat matures faster and earlier than the others in the cat family, some even as young as five months. Since spaying of your cat is recommended on the sixth month, you have at least a month to ensure that your cat does not get into trouble and get itself pregnant since it is at this time of the month that they are actively looking for a mate. You have to keep her indoors and check on where she is and what she is doing. If she manages to get out and find a male cat, chances are that you are going to be a grandparent to their kittens.

Siamese cats often are healthy in general, with a life span reaching up to twenty years. However, they are also prone to having tartar problems on their teeth and even gingivitis. If these conditions are not given attention, it may affect the health of your pet Siamese. They should have regular checkups with their veterinarian to be able to get their teeth clean. You can also do the brushing if your cat allows you to do it.

A Siamese cat is the perfect companion cat for those people who know how to handle its character, since their personalities are the ideal complement to the Siamese cat.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs My Lovely Cat - Useful information about cats.
Underneath the fur of your pet feline are fleas, tiny parasites that suck their blood. Most cats found at home are the hosts of these cat fleas although they are also seen to infect other animals like rabbits and dogs. Fleas are a common occurrence in a dog’s or cat’s body although in very few amounts. Make sure that it does not develop into Flea Allergy Dermatitis which is a precursor of more serious problems with regards to the skin. An increase in the number of fleas however may lead to a severe loss of blood, causing the host to be anemic. Fleas are also notorious for being carriers for several other parasites such as tapeworm and other organisms.

What are the signs to check if your pet cat has a flea infection? First and most obvious sign is frequent biting and scratching of their fur as if something is irritating them. Since cats normally scratch their fur, it is also vital that you actually take a closer look at your cat’s skin to check for the presence of dark brown crawling insects. It would be quite hard to see if your cat has dark fur so it is also suggested to inspect their beddings as well.

Whenever cats are scratching their fur, these pesky fleas fall off. Another way of checking of the presence of these blood sucking-insects is to rub the fur lightly while they are standing on a big sheet of white paper. Apply a demister afterwards. The presence of dark brown marks with red stains on the paper is a positive indicator of the existence of fleas on your feline.

Removing the fleas from your cat is not quite easy to do since they are found to react quite sensitively to chemicals. There are some products available on the market to help eradicate this problem and leave you feline flea free.

A flea collar is the most common form of a cat flea removal product. Poison is found on these collars in enough quantities to kill those adult fleas on and in the vicinity of the neck and head region. However, the fleas existing on the lower part of the body are not affected.

Another product is the flea shampoo that contains chemicals that can exterminate the fleas. Extreme care must be used to avoid irritating the skin of the cat and causing them much discomfort.

A chemical free technique to get rid of these cat fleas, especially the adult ones is by using a flea comb. Be prepared with a bowl of water with a bit of detergent mixed into it to put the gathered fleas in to drown. Putting a dollop of petroleum jelly on the flea comb can help catch the fleas by letting them stick on the comb easily.

Flea powders may also be utilized but not frequently to avoid drying and irritating the fur and skin of your pet feline.

Oral medicines may be mixed with their food which will be taken up into the blood. When the fleas feed on the blood, it will act by preventing the maturation of their eggs. This method is best used in combination with another method that effectively kills the adult cat flea.

Application of topical creams and ointments may also be effective, depending on brand and the degree of flea infestation. It is usually applied once every month until the cat is free of fleas.

For a successful management of these cat fleas, the area where the cat usually stays is treated as well. These fleas frequently hide in carpets, curtains, beds, and anywhere conducive to its existence. For a total eradication of these cat fleas, it is a highly suggested to have the whole house cleaned and treated from top to bottom, indoors and outdoors. Other pets are also included in the flea free program.

Lastly, it is always recommended to consult with your neighborhood veterinarian first before using any flea removing product to make sure that both you and your feline is safe and on his way to becoming flea free.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs My Lovely Cat - Useful information about cats.
Every cat owner knows that it is their responsibility to give their cat the right nutrition for them to grow fit and healthy. A well balanced cat diet contains all the necessary nutrients such as carbohydrates, fat, and protein. You can check out the pet food section of your local grocery for the different types of cat food commercially available to the public. Cat food comes in different forms: in cans, dried or dehydrated, and semi-moist.

Another option to consider is making your own cat food. How hard can it be? The preparation of cat food at home may consume a lot of time and be quite difficult to have all the ingredients needed to have a complete meal and complete set of nutrients. There are several cat food recipes available in the Internet which you can easily download. If you are quite adept in cooking, you may try your hand in making it.

Some cat owners prefer making their own cat food to be able to ensure its safety and nutritional value, especially in the light of information that several brands of cat food are being recalled due to the presence of harmful chemicals and harmful bacteria. These substances may make your cats sick and may even lead to its death.

Another advantage of preparing your own cat food is that it costs less expensive that the commercially available ones. Just make sure that you do not sacrifice the nutritional content of the cat food you prepare just for the sake of saving money. Additional research may be needed to find the exact amount of nutrient needed by your cat according to age and size. Also take note that the dietary requirements of a kitten differs greatly from what a full-grown cat needs. Be knowledgeable enough on what ingredients can cause adverse effects on the health of your cat.

Some ingredients that are harmless to humans may be harmful to your cats such as certain root crops like onion and garlic. They contain substances that may harm the cells of the blood of cats. So always be sure that the ingredients of your homemade cat food will not harm your cat.

If your cat was initially introduced to commercially prepared cat food, there might be some resistance when you try to shift to homemade cat food especially if they are quite picky eaters. A lot of patience and time may be needed to get them to try out the food you prepared and have them constantly eat it. Do not get disheartened if your cat doesn’t want to eat the food you prepared for him. It is not your cooking. It is more of them being wary of new things, especially new food. Try to observe the response of your cat to the food, if it is with enthusiasm or with indifference. An effective trick may be to mix the new food with their old food to introduce the new taste to your cat. Once they get to know the taste, they will in time eat the food you prepared for them.

A drawback with home prepared cat food is the complicatedness of its preparation as well as the time needed to prepare it. To reduce these hassles, you can make a month’s supply of cat food and get portions from it for your cat’s daily intake.

Data is also found on which supplements may be mixed with your recipe to make sure that the meal you prepare contains the right proportion of nutrients. It may be easier to just get a commercially prepared cat food but its reliability may be in question since some may have components that may cause an allergic reaction to occur on your cat.

Preparing your own cat food will not only save you money but will ensure the safety of your cat. You can ask your veterinarian or go online for recipes and other information on a well balanced meal for you cat.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs My Lovely Cat - Useful information about cats.
Dogs and cats Friends or Enemies

There is a running misconception about dogs and cats as being mortal enemies to each other. This has become a very popular notion especially because nowadays you can watch on television cartoons where a cat is always being chased by a dog.

What people probably do not know is that dogs and cats share similar characteristic traits where both of them are considered among the predator group of animals. This means that they are preying animals or looking to catch an inferior animal for food. By nature a dog or a cat get very much excited once they sense strange or sudden movements around them. This is the reason why some cats are wont to leap at any moving object, for instance a moving curtain that is being blown by the wind. They get excited by flying objects and swift moving tiny animals like rats which have become their favorite target for food.

Dogs, on the other hand have the preying instinct to catch animals that are smaller in size than themselves, also termed as the prey drive. So then people should always watch out and be careful even if their pet dogs are considered tame because their prey drive is just dormant.

In the meantime, kittens get their training in catching prey when they play around with moving objects, even chase their very own tail. When they grow older, their animal instinct takes over.

Meanwhile dogs are motivated to start a chase when cats disturb the dog’s peace. It would be very wise for the owners to protect these animals from hurting each other by practically putting them away from one another like separate areas in the house.

Nevertheless if you plan to have both the pet dog and pet cat together inside the house and at the same time expect them to coexist peacefully then you better do some good dog training for your pet. There are many ways to train a dog and perhaps the first thing that it has to learn is to get acquainted with a future friend in the house which is the cat.

You shouldn’t forget though that the animal instinct in the dog or the cat may come to play when any of these pets detect each others presence. A fight will of course ensue and expectedly a chase between the two pets will surely follow. There will be chaos all over the house because of this and the peace that you long for is abruptly shattered.

Therefore you better start the training of your pet dog before any untoward disaster occurs in your house. The next step in training the pet dog is to make it familiarize itself with the presence of another predator inside the house. You should be able to show appreciation for the dog’s behavior as it get used to having the cat around. You may give the dog a pat or a treat whenever it is able to ignore the taunting of the cat.

A single cat should never be mingled or brought together in the company of two or more dogs. Remember that there is always the danger that any of the dogs might want to play catch a prey with the cat. Distancing the dog and cat from one another should be brought to mind particularly during feeding time. Their animal instinct is for survival so they really get harsh when their food is being eyed by another animal.

The leave it command should be obeyed by the dog at all times especially when its preying instinct is triggered. You should treat both animals equally with kindness and reward them with their good behavior.

On the part of the owner, patience is required because of the limited means of communication with the pets. Instruction is usually made through body language and done over and over until the dog learns. The prize is worth your while anyways because you will attain a peaceful and harmonious coexistence with your pet dog and cat.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs My Lovely Cat - Useful information about cats.
In layman terms, wheat allergy refers to adverse reactions involving your immune system to one or more protein elements in wheat.

Wheat contains many elements in its total makeup. You are familiar with them already because they give bread dough and bread itself many of its characteristics. Elasticity and stickiness to the dough for instance and the sponginess to a cake and the nice crisp crust to a loaf of french bread. They have names like albumin, gluten, and gliadin. Without them dough would have the consistency of modeling clay and a muffin would look like a hockey puck when it was done baking. The good news is that wheat allergy is considered to be a very uncommon as allergies go. For people who work with, or are in constant contact with wheat flour, statistics have shown that they can be at higher risk for occupational asthma caused by the inhaling of wheat flour.

Wheat flour has been shown to be a substantial contributor to the cause of occupational asthma for people working in the baking industry. However; for the general public there appears to be very little risk in eating wheat based food products. Many processed and snack foods contain wheat derivatives like gluten and albumin. The majority of people allergic to wheat are allergic to the albumin and globulin in the wheat. The most common allergic reactions are stomach cramps and vomiting after eating the food containing a wheat product. They commonly occur in a few minutes but can take up to a few hours to manifest themselves. Other common reactions are skin rash and eczema.

The allergic reactions to breathing wheat flour or flour contain wheat derivatives can be life threatening. It can cause heart complications and extreme breathing problems if they manifest themselves while the person is exercising. In rare instances these complications have been life threatening. Because wheat and other grain products are so common in our diet, wheat allergy can be difficult to diagnose. If the person who is suspected of suffering from wheat allergy eats them occasionally it can make the diagnosis a little easier. If they get sick following the occasions the person eats the food contain wheat then that's a very strong indicator.

For the person who is eating wheat regularly as a part of their daily diet and is constantly sick, it can be more difficult to sort out the cause. Elimination-challenge testing is the most reliable method of allergy diagnosis. The first step in treating wheat allergy is to eliminate it from the diet or from the environment if the allergy is caused by breathing the dust or flour. This can be a difficult regimen to adhere to because wheat and wheat products are so common in our diets. For children it can be particularly difficult because it is in so many snack products. Albumin and gluten can even be found in candies. Children often lack the ability to read the and understand the contents labels of food and snack products. There are alternative food products available in health food stores such as soy based food and snack products.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs Deserved Health - information on health for you and your family.
Everyone at some times in their lives experiences digestion trouble. Your body has natural warning signs to let you know that you should give better consideration to what you are putting in your mouth. If you consume too much of the wrong things your body will let you know by punishing you a little so that you will think it over better before you do it again, these are the kinds of acid reflux symptoms you'll have to experience. Over consuming any kind of liquor can lead to severe punishment like vomiting and a hangover.

Too much liquor is not good for your body and it will let you know this. Too much salt is not good for us and eating too much of it can cause extreme thirst. Many types of foods that are not the best for us health wise can be so very delicious though. Spicy hot links, down at the pub, or hot dogs and oily cheesy pizza at the ball game, are sometimes just too good to pass up and then our bodies will speak to us and let us know that this type of food is not what it likes you to put into it in large amounts.

Heartburn is what it will punish us with and it can be brutal punishment. Heartburn is caused by digestive acid being forced up into our throat, where it causes a severe burning sensation. It can also cause a burning sensation in the upper chest. So heartburn is normal and is a natural function of our body and its digestive system. Under normal circumstances heartburn can be controlled by exercising a little common sense, while we are choosing what to eat.

Slightly problematic heartburn can be controlled with antacid tablets from your local drug store. Acid reflux disease is when something goes wrong and we are experiencing heartburn far too much and for no reason at all. Having acid forced up out of our stomachs is not good for you and can lead to all sorts of related health issues. If you find yourself having to take antacid tablets and dealing with heartburn every day, then the chances are very good that you may be suffering from acid reflux disease.

The good news is that acid reflux disease can be diagnosed and is treatable. The test that is commonly used to diagnose acid reflux disease is called the Bernstein Test. During the Bernstein Test acid is introduced into your stomach through a tube and your bodies reactions to it are observed in a laboratory setting. The acid our stomachs and digestive system uses is hydrochloric acid and it is a very strong acid.

Hydrochloric acid in concentrated form can dissolve a penny in a matter of minutes. So there really is some powerful chemistry going on in our stomachs and when you have acid reflux disease it is nothing to be taken lightly. Acid reflux disease can strike anyone at any age and quite often it is children that suffer from it. The Bernstein Test can be administered on anyone at any age.

The good news is that acid reflux disease has been the focus of research for many years and as a result of this research alot of ground has been gained in the area of treatment. New drugs have been developed that are very effective in treating acid reflux disease. So people who had to suffer and endure in the past can now be treated and live normal pain free lives. So if heartburn is becoming more and more of a problem for you and you find yourself gulping over the counter heartburn remedies maybe it is time to talk to your doctor about acid reflux disease.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs Deserved Health - information on health for you and your family.
Stress Incontinence Synopsis

Stress continence is defined as being an involuntary loss of urine that occurs during physical activity, coughing, sneezing, or laughing. Stress incontinence is basically a bladder storage problem where the strength of the urethral sphincter has greatly diminished, and the sphincter doesn’t have the ability to prevent the urine flow when there is an increased pressure from the abdomen.

Stress incontinence may result from weakened pelvic muscles that support the bladder and urethra or because of the malfunction of the urethral sphincter. There are other things that could result in a weakened urethra including prior trauma to the urethral area, neurological injury, as well as some medications.

Sphincter weakness can occur in women after they have had pelvic surgery or men after prostate surgery. Stress incontinence is common in women who have had multiple pregnancies and vaginal childbirths, or those who have pelvic pro lapse which is the protrusion of the bladder, urethra, or rectal wall into the vaginal area, with cystocele, cystourethrocele, or rectocele.

Stress urinary incontinence is one of the most common types of urinary incontinence in women. There are many risk factors for stress incontinence such as having sex, aging, childbirth, smoking, and obesity. The risk of stress incontinence is increased if you have a condition that causes chronic coughing such as chronic bronchitis and asthma.

Occasional urinary incontinence is quite common in women. In fact studies have shown that nearly half of all women have occasional urinary incontinence and one in ten women experience frequent incontinence. It becomes more common as you age. Almost twenty percent of women over the age of seventy-five have daily urinary incontinence.

A person must have the psychological and physical ability to recognize and respond to the urge to urinate. The ability to hold urine is dependant upon normal function of the lower urinary tract, kidneys, and nervous system. The urination process involves two phases starting with the filling and storage phase which is followed by the emptying phase. During the first phase urine fills the bladder with liquid from your kidneys.

Your bladder stretches to accommodate for the increasing amounts of urine. It is estimated that the first sensation to urinate occurs when you have about 200 ml of urine in your bladder. A normal functioning nervous system will respond to the stretching sensation by alerting you that you need to urinate while allowing your bladder to continue to fill.

An average person has the ability to hold about 350 to 550 ml of urine. To be able to fill and store urine properly you are required to have a functional sphincter muscle, control of the output of urine from the bladder, as well as a stable bladder wall muscle also known as the detrusor muscle. The emptying process requires the ability of the detrusor muscle to correctly contract force urine out of the bladder, as well as the ability to be able to relax the sphincter to allow the urine to exit the body.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs Deserved Health - information on health for you and your family.
Being struck down by a stroke is something that happens to thousands of people every year. As you age, your body becomes more vulnerable to a variety of diseases and syndromes and stroke is one of them. A stroke is caused by a blood vessel in the brain rupturing and flooding an area of your brain with blood and causing brain damage in the area of the brain it occurs in.

Having a stroke can leave you unable to speak, or damage your hearing, or any one or combination of a number of things. Strokes can be and often are fatal. There are many factors that can increase your risk of having a stroke and these factors generally increase as we get older. You can do a lot to reduce your risk of having a stroke and by doing things to reduce the risk of stroke, you will also be decreasing your risk of so many other health problems.

Everyone remains at risk of stroke to one degree or another, though, and this is just a fact of life that is unavoidable. So doing what you can to bring down your risk factor just makes good common sense. Knowing the warning signs of a stroke is something that will help you survive a stoke, if you or a loved one should ever have one. Early response and early treatment in the event of a stroke are the keys to minimizing the damage and increasing your chances of survival.

If you notice a sudden numbness and or a weakness of the face, arm, or leg and particularly if this occurs on only one side of the body, then this could be the warning sign of a stroke. Quite often this will also include a slurring of or difficulty in speech. Often the person who has the numbness in the face and the speech slurring, wont even notice it and it has to be pointed out by someone who looks at and talks to them.

A person with this problem will many times have half their mouth and cheek on one side of their face unusable and drooping. An elderly relative can sometimes become difficult and confused when signs such as these manifest themselves so it is important that help be sought immediately if any of these signs are noticed. This is because sudden confusion is also many times a one of a strokes symptoms, along with suddenly having trouble understanding what is being spoken to them.

Sudden trouble seeing in both eyes is another warning sign of a stroke. If you or a loved one suddenly has trouble walking and has balance and coordination problems, this is also a warning sign of stroke. A severe headache with no known cause is also a warning sign of stroke. The term "severe," cannot be overemphasized. Often the headache that signals an oncoming stroke is incapacitating and so painful that often people will go to a hospital for the headache alone.

These are all some of the more common warning signs of a stroke but there are others as well. If you find an elderly relative in bed and completely unresponsive this also can be due to a severe stroke. Anything out of the ordinary that is happening to your senses is cause for concern. Hearing a pop and hearing water running, or smelling smoke, or a ringing in your ears, or suddenly tasting any flavor in your mouth should all be cause for concern. There are mild and severe strokes so remain watchful of yourself and your loved ones for the early warning signs of a stroke.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs Deserved Health - information on health for you and your family.
Kidney cancer is a type of cancer that effects your kidneys, which are located behind your stomach, in your lower back just below your ribs. There are two of them and they are each about the size of your fist. They are important organs and you can exist with only one kidney but if you lose them both, that is not the case. Your kidneys are part of the urinary system and serve an important part in the process of waste removal in your body.

They are also part of the process of red blood cell production and work to control blood pressure. Each kidney is a package of many small filtering units, called "nephrons". Kidney transplants are a fairly common operation now and it is possible for a person to donate one of their kidneys and live the rest of their lives, using the one remaining kidney. Just like any other organ in your body, your kidneys can develop cancer.

In its early stages, kidney cancer very rarely shows any symptoms, so unless it is detected by a doctor, by a urinalysis test, the chances of a person noticing anything unusual, or out of the ordinary, relating to the cancer, are very slim. Children and adults tend to develop two different types of kidney cancer. The type that adults are most likely to develop is called (renal adenocarcinoma) and the type of kidney cancer that children are most likely to develop is called (Wilm's tumor).

In its later stages, when it generally does start to show some physical symptoms, these symptoms will tend to be as follows. Noticeable blood in the urine. It is possible to have blood in your urine in such small quantity that it is not noticeable to the naked eye. Small amounts of blood can be detected by a doctor by testing the urine for blood. Another symptom of kidney cancer is a loss in weight.

Some people can tend to see weight loss as a blessing. Particularly weight loss that has occurred through no effort. Sudden unaccounted for weight loss however is a symptom of many types of cancer and diseases. So unless a person has made an effort to lose weight, it is wise to view unaccounted for weight loss, particularly large weight loss that occurs suddenly, with some measure of concern. Another symptom of kidney cancer is back pain that doesn't seem to go away.

Like so many other cancers, an early detection is a key to a full recovery. The longer a cancer, like kidney cancer, remains undetected the better the chance it has to spread to other parts of your body. When a cancer spreads to another part of your body it is said to "metastasize". If detected early though, the chances for a full recovery are very good. There are several forms of treatment for kidney cancer and what stage the cancer is in, can be a major determinating factor in what type of treatment is used to attack the cancer.

In the past, surgery for kidney cancer involved the removal of the entire kidney. Research has led to a change of procedure in recent years. It was determined that by removing only the tumor and leaving the kidney intact, when it was possible, the patient faced a lesser chance of kidney failure and an increased quality of life after the treatment.

Another type of treatment for kidney cancer is referred to as "arterial embolization". This is a procedure where the vessel that supplies blood to the cancerous kidney is blocked. Other treatments include radiation therapy and chemo therapy and immunotherapy, which uses your bodies own immune system to fight the cancer.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs Deserved Health - information on health for you and your family.
If you have problems sometimes getting to the bathroom in time to urinate, you aren’t alone. In fact there are millions of adults who suffer from this problem known as incontinence. Some might immediately thing of wearing diapers or pads but there are now medications you can take that can help treat the condition.

Bladder problems can sometimes be caused be an illness. So when the illness is gone the incontinence goes with it. It is more common for women to develop bladder infections because it is easier to get bacteria in their urinary tract. When this occurs you may experience incontinence until the infection has gone away.

If you are experiencing long lasting incontinence then it may be caused by something other than a bladder infection such as a weak bladder, weakening of the muscles around the bladder, a blocked urinary passageway, the damage to the nerves that control the bladder, as well as diseases such as arthritis.

If you talk with your doctor and do the necessary treatment then you won’t have to deal with any rashes, sores, bladder infections, inability to sleep, or sexual problems due to incontinence. There are great and easy ways to treat this condition and can be stopped or greatly decreased in almost everyone who is willing to try the medications and other treatments available.

Some medications you can ask your doctor about include Detrol and Ditropan. You need a prescription to get either of these medicines. For a non prescription or medicinal treatment option you can go to a local drugstore and pick up a throw away patch. The main companies are UroMed and Miniguard. This patch is a small quarter sized patch that is placed sticky side down on a woman’s urinary opening to help hold in light to medium leakage.

You can try bladder or habit training which will train your bladder to retain urine longer. Your doctors will likely have you urinate at specified times, such as once every hour. The longer you are able to stay dry, the longer the time will become. Your doctor will also instruct you to avoid drinks that include caffeine such as many coffee, soda, and tea products. You will also likely be told to cut on how much liquid you drink before going to bed, but remember being hydrated is important so don’t cut back during the day.

You can exercise your bladder this is easier than it sounds. To make your muscles around the bladder stronger you can try holding the urine in your bladder for longer periods of time. Tighten the muscle for about five to ten seconds and then relax for equal amounts of time, increasing the number of repetitions as you can.

--
Article by Sven Ullmann, who runs Deserved Health - information on health for you and your family.
