How To Cover A Leaking Roof The Right Way

It's every homeowner's worst nightmare: a leaking roof. Whether it's been caused by wear and tear or is the result of a hurricane, this is a situation that requires immediate attention. Failure to take proper action can seriously compromise the structural integrity of your roof, as well as cause major damage to the interior of your home. Simply slapping some plastic over a damaged roof is not sufficient; you must make sure that you use the right materials and take the correct measures to do the job right.

When a leak occurs in a roof, the damage extends far beyond the shingles and structure of the roof itself. A roof that experiences water damage can weaken or rot; over time, it can even completely collapse. Also, water damage can result in mold, which can further weaken your roof and make it structurally unsound. Therefore, as soon as a roof has incurred damages that may cause leaks, it needs to be covered thoroughly with the proper material.

The first - and most important - step in properly covering your damaged roof is choosing the right kind of tarp. One of the most popular, widely used choices is 2.7 ounce blue tarp. This kind of tarp is a big seller because it comes in a huge selection of sizes and is one of the least expensive options. However, you do get what you pay for: in exchange for saving a few dollars, you run the risk of not properly protecting your roof. BlueTarps are just not heavy duty enough to do this important job adequately.

Rather than skimp on the materials, you should invest in a heavy duty tarp that will do the job right. A great example is a silver, 6.0 ounce per square yard style tarp. These are incredibly strong and tear resistant. Using a tarp like this to protect your damaged roof is a great first step in ensuring that further, irreversible damages do not occur.

Once you have purchased the proper kind of tarp, gather the other necessary supplies. You will need a couple of 2 x 4 wood strips, nails, a hammer, a knife, safety glasses and a ladder. You will preferably want to have all of these supplies at the ready on a utility belt so that your hands are free. Pinpoint the areas on the roof where the damage has occurred and where leaks have started, then carry your silver tarp and tools to the roof and follow these steps:

1) Roll out enough of the tarp to cover the damaged section(s) of the roof; it should extend from the eaves to the peak, and it should be cut so that an additional four feet are on either end.

2) The 2 x 4's should be two feet longer than the width of the tarp; wrap one end of the tarp around one of them. Carefully nail in or staple the tarp to the 2 x 4.

3) Nail another 2 x 4 over the tarp that is already secured to the first 2 x 4; the tarp will now be between the two strips of wood.

4) Place the secured end of the tarp on the eaves line; drape the tarp over the ridge and to the other side of the roof.

5) Secure the other end of the tarp the same way you did the first one (see step 3); nail it to the roof cheathing.

6) Use additional 2 x 4's to nail down and secure the other sides of the tarp.

By purchasing the right kind of tarp and carefully following these steps, you can make sure your roof is properly protected. Why run the risk of having your roof destroyed? Doing this job the right way, with the right materials, is imperative.

--
Robert Page has worked in the tarps industry for over 25 years.
During a time when the rivers are flooding, it pays to have something that you can use to cover up your furniture, seal doors and windows, and generally make your house a little protected in case the waters do reach your home. Tarps are easy enough to find, you can find them at most hardware stores, or even an online vendors. All of these retailers carry some sort of a tarp that will be useful in covering your assets and keeping them relatively safe, than with using nothing at all.

You can use these tarps inside in covering up everything you value, your furniture, and you can use them to seal up your doors and windows by putting them around the frames of the doors and windows, and using some duct tape, or another strong, water proof adhesive, will keep the water out. If water does come in through these areas, it will be very little. A lot of people in the North & South Dakota, who are dealing with flooding rivers right now, are using tarps, in conjunction with other means, to keep the waters out of their houses, and businesses.

Almost every year, we all hear of some area along some river that has to deal with flood waters, and tarps are among the number one item needed to help keep peoples items safe. Most any tarp will do this job, if you have one. If you don't have any at all, as I said before, you can get them at any retail store that is close to you, for a low cost, and they carry multiple sizes for whatever purpose you have in mind for it. Another way to use the tarps for protection, is to erect some kind of a levee system around your house, and top the levee with the tarps. This will keep most of the water from ever reaching your house, if not all of the water.

The tarps will help keep the water from eroding the levee away and causing breaks and failures in the levee. Using a levee system in conjunction with covering your doors and windows with tarps will almost certainly keep the water out of your house from the ground level. If you're dealing with a flooding river and it is still raining, then you should cover your roof with tarps as well. This will help prevent the rain water from soaking through your roof in areas where rain water settles and builds up when it rains. The tarp will help keep the water away from your roof especially if it is fixed properly, this will the enable any water that has built up, to run down the slope of your roof and off your house. You see, using tarps is effective way to help keep your house and family valuables safe and out of harms way when nature shows herself in this awful way

--
Robert Page has been working in the tarps industry for over 25 years for more information about tarps go to http://www.tarpaflex.com for information about green tarps go to http://www.tarpaflex.com/acatalog/Green_Heavy_Duty_Poly_Tarps.html

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Tarps are one of the most common low cost purchases by homeowners. They can be used for many different things around the home. Tarps are made from different materials, and the material used will have a factor in what it is used for. The most common type of tarp is a poly tarp. These are usually coated with a plastic, making them water resistant. The coating also adds a little extra strength to the tarp. Usually found in blue, green or brown, poly tarps can be used for almost anything at home. Families with small children will use these tarps to cover sand boxes, maintaining a safe and dry place for children to play. The are also used as car and boat covers, protecting your valued assets from the elemenets. Anyone who has a wood burning stove will benefit greatly from this low budget purchase. A simple tarp can keep your wood protected from rain and snow during the winter months. Poly tarps are also great for creating temporary shelters. Many people use tarps to make canopies that offer shelter from the sun during the hot summers.

Canvas and mesh tarps are not at very often used around the home, though they do serve great purposes. A canvas tarp offers much more strength than a poly tarp. Though they are not as waterproof as a poly tarp, canvas tarps are treated and are water resistant. These tarps are great for wrapping around furntiure when moving. They offer padded protection and will repel rain water, keeping the items dry and damage-free. Canvas tarps are beneficial to have around the home when redecorating. They make wonderful drop cloths, protecting your floors and furniture from paint spills and drops.

Mesh tarps are not seen often, but they do provide wonderful possibilities around the home. They can be used for creating privacy screens and shading. They can also be used for storage purposes. Though these tarps do not provide the many uses of the canvas or poly types, they are beneficial to have around the home.

If you are a homeowner, you will find that you will always find the need for a tarp. If planning a spring construction project, having tarps will make things much easier. They can be used under working areas, making clean up faster. They are also often used to cover lumber over night so the wood does not absorb any moisture. Tarps come in handy when doing yardwork. They make disposing of leaves and grass clippings fast and simple and can also be used for transporting mulch to different areas of the yard.

There are endless uses for tarps. They are a low cost item that can prove to have hundreds of uses in and around the home. Tarps offer the protection, safety and security you may need at an affordable cost.

--
Robert Page has been working in the tarps industry for over 25 years for more information about tarps go to http://www.tarpaflex.com for information about green tarps go to http://www.tarpaflex.com/acatalog/Green_Heavy_Duty_Poly_Tarps.html

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Poly Tarps, or tarpaulins, have proven themselves to be one of the most widely used and versatile coverings found around the world. Made from woven polyethylene that have been weaved together and then coated with a polyethylene coating to about 30 microns (the origination of the word "poly" in "poly tarps"), the cheaper of these tarps are generally found in various shades of blue and are made from a single sheet of polyethylene fiber with weights per yard of 2.0oz up to 3.0z, while more heavy duty poly tarps are silver, black, or white and are made up of a thicker and heavier weight of polethylene around 6.oz per sq yard

Poly tarps are quite effective at keeping out the natural elements and are easily adapted to many different situations, which explains their popularity around the world. They can be found in use all across the United States and Europe, protecting homes and crops from sudden sand storms in the Middle East and helping those in tropical areas protect themselves during hurricanes and other natural disasters.

We see tarps used most often in the United States for construction and recreation. Tarps vary in size and can easily be cut to a needed shape and still remain relatively sturdy, making them ideal to cover cars, boats or to protect gear when traveling through a rain storm. They are often found on construction sites, protecting soft lumber from possible scratches or gouges coming from flying debris. Importers and exporters often use poly tarps as large dividers for their cargo, as several tarps can be strung together to reach from floor to ceiling even in a large cargo ship.

Farmers in all regions have been known to cover hay and other easily damaged crops with tarps, as the tight weave of the polyethylene fibers is excellent for keeping even the smallest amount of water from slipping through and rotting the straw. Poly tarps have been keeping farms from losing millions in destroyed goods since their creation.

Perhaps one of the most interesting uses for a poly tarp is in the way it can bring humanitarian aid in the midst of natural disaster. It is under these particular circumstances where the versatility of a poly tarp really shines through. During a natural disaster where homes have been destroyed and people suddenly find themselves exposed to the elements, poly tarps can be used to build temporary shelters, keeping out rain, wind and even heat. As it can be used to cover straw and grains, tarps can also be used to protect what is left of a local food supply. It can be used to patch holes in homes and buildings that are still standing and can even be sliced up to be used as makeshift bandages or even slings. And once the disaster is over and the crisis has passed, the tarps can be used to gather the belongings that have survived.

The simple, sturdy construction of poly tarps is what allows them to be so useful in so many different situations. Strong, versatile and adaptable, when it comes to finding uses for these tarps, the possibilities are endless.

--
Robert Page has worked in the tarps industry for over 25 years.
If you live in one of the many states or countries that are affected by a hurricane season, you may want to start investing in some tarps. This is especially true if the meteorologists are predicting a rough hurricane season. It is important that house owners and renters alike stock up on necessities like flashlights, food, water, batteries, and even a generator if at all possible. However, you may want to make sure you are stocked up on a couple of tarps as these are becoming more and more important to those who are effected by this sort of extreme weather. A <tarp> is very affordable and can be one of your greatest assets in a hurricane situation.

Tarps are used for literally hundreds of things around a home and even more in the event of a hurricane. One of the best uses for them in the event of a hurricane is for your roof. After losing some tiles or shingles from your roof, you will be ecstatic to have a tarp handy for covering the holes up. They are also great for covering up appliances and furniture until you completely patch up a hole in your roof or one of your walls. Tarps are also wonderful for covering up a broken window to keep the level of debris coming into your home to a minimum. These tarps can also be used for covering your outside vehicles and other outside properties in the event of a hurricane. It will not save your vehicles from heavy flying debris, but it will save it from some of the damage that may occur.

There is no particular tarp type that is used just for hurricanes. However, investing the money in hurricane tarps is a great idea for anyone who lives in an area that has the potential to be affected by a hurricane. Investing fewer than one hundred dollars in some quality blue tarps is money that will be well spent to any person living on a rough coastline, especially Floridians. You can even look at these tarps as a sort of insurance against hurricanes. You may save yourself a whole lot of time and money by investing in this versatile tool. You can purchase tarps in any hardware store or retail store for decent prices. You may even want to look into investing in some heavy duty tarps for more important items that you would like to keep safe.</tarp>

--
Bob Page has worked in the tarps industry for over twenty years.
A tarp is known to be a large sheet of strong and flexible waterproof material. There is no specific tarp that is used for covering a boat or other watercraft. Generally, people like to use a tarp that is strong enough to withstand the elements for some time, keeping their property unscathed by the outdoors. Usually, it is good for a consumer to look for reinforced grommets at the corners and sides that will offer a place for a person to use a rope to tie the tarpaulin down. All poly tarps will offer these grommets and are great for boat covers.

Poly tarps are the most commonly used tarps and can provide great cover from the rain. The material that is used to make these tarps is a high-density resin. These are often used as boat covers as they are lasting and have the proper grommets for tying them down. They are mildew proof, acid and puncture resistant, and are great for use in cold climates.
Another good tarp to use for covering your boat is a canvas tarp. These tarpaulins will be hemmed and stitched all around their perimeter for reinforcement. Their reinforcements are made of eyelets that are made of materials that will not rust very easily. These tarps are better used for outside storage. Mesh tarps are also used for boat covers at times. These tarps are also known as shade screens. These tarps are actually not very good for covering and protecting you boat as they can only be used in a light breeze. These are usually used by people in fair and comfortable climates.

You will be able to purchase most boat tarps without any fittings. This means that they are usually bought in pre-standardized shapes that will fit almost any kind of boat. You might say that it is like a one size fits all deal. Different kind of materials will need different kinds of tarps. If your boat is made of wood, you will want a mildew proof tarp. If you prefer it, you may get a tarp customized to fit your boat. There are certain deals around the internet for tarp customization. You need only browse around to find one that will interest you.

--
Bob Page has worked in the tarps industry for over 20 years Bob can be contacted via the web site at http://www.tarpaflex.com or for details about boat tarps go to http://www.tarpaflex.com/acatalog/White___Silver_Poly_Tarps.html

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

If you've got a boat, you know how precious an investment it is. It's not just an everyday investment like your car, although those are important too. A boat provides your freedom on the water so that you and your family and friends can have fun and recreation during balmy summer months, or in tropical climates. Of course, you need maximum protection for this most precious investment, and this is where a heavy-duty tarpaulin can provide you just the protection you need for your boat.

Your boat needs protection from the weather, especially if it's stored outdoors. This could be rain, wind, snow, sleet and the like. Even in pleasant weather, UV rays can still damage your boat's exterior. For this reason, you need a good-quality tarpaulin to cover your boat, so that it is protected from the elements.

If you're looking for a tarpaulin to use for your boat, the most effective ones are the white heavy-duty tarpaulin, or the silver heavy-duty tarpaulins. Please provide the most effective cover, and can even stand up to arctic temperatures. You can also use the economical blue poly tarpaulins, but these do not last as long, especially in inclement weather. Heavy-duty tarpaulins have grommets at every 18 inches, so that you can tie down the tarpaulin securely and further protect your boat from the elements. By contrast, poly tarpaulins have grommets every 36 inches, which is fine for light use; in the summertime, poly tarpaulins might be all you need, if you use your boat a lot and it doesn't sit under cover for an extended period of time. You might want to consider either a white heavy-duty tarpaulin or a silver heavy-duty tarpaulin for extended long-term storage.

Poly tarpaulins are quite inexpensive as compared to heavy-duty white or silver tarpaulins, so they are a good choice if you need relatively light protection for a short period of time. This is also particularly useful if you're not going to put your boat in long-term storage, such as during the summer. Of course, during the summer, your boat is likely to get much more use, so that a poly tarpaulin might be most effective for your needs. During long-term storage, however, especially during the winter when it simply sits for long periods of time, it's a good idea to invest in a heavy-duty silver tarpaulin or heavy-duty white tarpaulin.

Poly tarpaulins are also quite cost effective in that you can buy them in any size and don't need to have them custom fit to your boat's exact size. In addition, all quality poly tarpaulins have UV inhibitor added so that your boat is protected from sun damage during long hot summer days.

Yet another alternative to poly tarpaulins, the heavy-duty white tarpaulins or silver tarpaulins are canvas tarpaulins. Canvas tarpaulins cost a bit more than do poly tarpaulins, but they can be beneficial because they allow air to circulate. In effect, the boat can "breathe" under the canvas tarpaulin. One drawback to canvas tarpaulins is that they are much heavier than poly tarpaulins. And even though they are more expensive than poly tarpaulins are, they are very competitively priced and can be well worth the money.

No matter what type of tarpaulin you choose, your boat is a prized investment that needs to be protected. The expense of buying a tarpaulin will make up for itself because of the protection the tarpaulin provides. Even better, it can provide inexpensive long-term storage if you use heavy-duty tarpaulins, should you choose not to pay for storage for your boat. Both white heavy-duty and silver heavy-duty tarpaulins stay flexible at very cold temperatures and provide protection in very inclement weather. Therefore, they can even continue to protect your investment in the winter. You can be assured that your boat will be protected from the weather with these heavy-duty tarpaulins either during regular boating season or during off-season when it sits in storage for extended periods of time.

--
Tarpaulin expert Robert Page has worked in the Tarps industry for over 20 years and during this time he has built up a wealth of knowledge of the tarpaulin industry for more information about poly tarps suitable for boats go to: http://www.tarpaflex.co.uk/product_info_striped.htm and further information about Tarpaflex go to www.tarpaflex.co.uk

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

The Many Uses of Tarps for the Housewife

Did you ever find yourself looking for something to cover the kid’s sand box to keep the animals out of it? If your children have a sand box that does not have a cover, think about using a tarp. They are ideal for keeping stray animals out of the place where your children play. They are durable enough to make a great cover and most have riveted holes so you can tie them down. They can protect your children’s play area and keep wind and rain from scattering the sand.

Tarps are handy for covering just about anything that you want to keep dry or protected from the sun. Due to the fact that they come in an array of sizes, you will be sure to find one that is just right for the job. Do you have firewood that you want to keep dry? How about covering your boat for the winter with a heavy duty, waterproof tarp?

There are many different uses around the home for tarps. They can be used to cover furniture or carpet for painting. You can use them to protect your car if you don’t have a garage. Use a tarp for covering a leaky spot on your roof until you can get it repaired.

If you have an outside pet, put up a tarp over his area to keep the hot summer sun from beating on him. Using one of these over a kennel will keep him from being exposed to the blazing sun on those hot, humid days. Planning on having an outside birthday party or get together? Using a tarp as a canopy can provide you with an area to set up the tables with food and gifts.

If you need a quick idea for the kids who are out on summer vacation to cool off in the back yard, use a tarp as a slide with your water hose. They will enjoy their impromptu slide and this may be a cure for the “I’m bored” syndrome that you begin to hear a couple of weeks into their vacation. Use a tarp to make a play area for small children to protect them from the sun. If you have clothes line you can put a tarp over the lines and have a makeshift play house.

Do you need something to put yard sale items on and don’t have enough tables? Spread a tarp on the ground for your toys, games, linens, and various other yard sale items that you want to display. Use one for one price items. You can have a 50 cent tarp, a dollar tarp, whatever you decide. You could also use one for a sunshade over your yard sale.

When most people think of tarps they think of the old green or gray colored covers. Today tarps come in a lot of different colors. You can choose from white, red, silver, yellow, and even camouflage. You can still get the gray or green if you want but the choices have expanded and if you want to draw attention to something, red will do the job. This would be a great idea for your yard sale.

Tarps are perfect for covering furniture when you move. They are heavy duty enough to protect your furniture from dust and dirt and keep tables from getting scratched. The different sizes available will allow you to choose the right one for covering mirrors, couches, appliances, and more. No one likes to move and arrive at your new home to discover that your washer or dryer has a big scratch on it or your favorite table has been nicked. Tarps can prevent this from happening and keep your furniture safe and secure until you arrive at your new home.

Cover your lawn furniture for the winter with a tarp if you do not have a garage or building to store it. Tarps are available that are waterproof and crack resistant. This is the perfect solution to a limited storage area.

Do you have shrubs or small plants that need to be covered when the temperatures get below freezing? A tarp will do the job and keep them from getting burned by frost. With the grommets on the sides of the tarp you can easily run a small rope through to tie the tarp down and prevent it from blowing away.

There are so many sizes and colors of tarps to choose from that there is sure to be one to fit your needs.

--
Robert Page has worked to the tarps industry for over twenty years. For more information go to the companies web site http://www.tarpaflex.com Tarpaflex US LLC,4760 Enterprise Ave,Naples,Florida,34104.Tel: 239 643 0877

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

In the building and construction industry, it is all-too important to have quality equipment and materials. Having tarpaulins that rip and tear and just won't hold up to the elements will never do; having quality materials can be the difference between a successful project and serious problems.

Tarpaulins are an integral supply for the building and construction businesses. Tarps are used for a variety of purposes, including supporting heavy loads moved along the ground, shielding areas and materials from the rain & wind, to cover unfinished roofs and protect tools and equipment from being destroyed by the elements. You should be able to find a variety of tarps that will serve these purposes at the most basic level, but if you need something heavy duty and long-lasting, heavy duty white tarps are the only way to go.

If you have ever put in some shopping time for heavy duty tarps before, you are probably already well aware of the fact that they are produced in silver and white colors. Heavy duty white tarps are the best of the best, and for good reason. Rather than having the grommets spaced out at every yard the white heavy duty tarp has grommets evey eighteen inchs that helps prevent rips and gives the user a quality tarp that supports as much weight or force as your project may call for. Having grommets on heavy duty white tarps spaced about eighteen inches apart, makes for a very durable tarp rather than grommets are spaced thirty six inches apart, or more on cheaper styles. Supporting or transporting bricks, lumber, or cement requires the use of heavy duty materials like the stronger white tarps and so it is extremely important to make sure that the right materials are in order.

Standard Blue Tarps vs. Heavy Duty White Tarps

If you have not yet had the opportunity to invest in the heavy duty white tarps, chances are that the only tarps you have yet had the chance to come into contact with are the economy blue tarps. Most people have come into contact with these traditional blue tarps at least one point in their life, whether it was from camping or cleaning the yard or covering the boat from the elements.

Blue tarps are the tarps that most people come into contact with the most, and they are excellent for common use because they are so very inexpensive. Blue tarps cost just a mere fraction of the price that the heavy duty white tarps may cost, but that is because they are not meant to last a long period of time. In most cases, blue tarps are used just a few times and are easily replaced with just a few dollars. The downside to having traditional blue tarps rather than heavy duty white tarps is that they absorb sunlight and weaken; they easily tear and are not good for transporting or covering and pulling extremely heavy, pointy, or otherwise difficult objects.

Why Invest in Heavy Duty White Tarps?

If you have ever thought about purchasing heavy duty white tarps over the other types of tarps out there to choose from, you probably already saw that they are competitively priced. In no way are heavy duty white tarps cheap, at least as far as the price of a 'regular' blue tarp is concerned.

Consider the fact that your business is your investment, and sometimes a good investment takes an additional investment. One of the most attractive things about these heavy duty white tarps is that they have an ultraviolet light (UV ray) inhibitor that prevents UV light from seeping into the fabric of the tarp. This is something that regular tarps, especially traditional blue tarps, are going to lack.

The sun can do some serious damage to just about everything, from your skin to the fabric makeup of tarps. If you are concerned about the sun damaging your tarp or your materials as it tends to, you should consider making use of and investing in a few heavy duty white tarps. They are like sun block for your materials, keeping the most harmful rays of sunlight away from the materials that you have invested so much capital in.Furthermore as white taps are white they have additinal benefits as white reflects the suns rays.

Regular tarps are about 5 mils thick; these are the traditional blue ones that people more often run into; on the other hand, there are heavy duty white tarps that can get much thicker and therefore work as a cover for cars and lumber much more effectively. These heavy duty tarps can be as much as 23 mil thick! Most heavy duty white tarps are about 12 mil thick, though; that is more than twice the thickness of the traditional blue tarps.

Common Uses of Heavy Duty White Tarps

Outside of commercial uses, heavy duty white tarps can be used for a variety of things. They are great for covering and protecting unfinished or leaky rooftops, covering boats and cars, and even for use as canopies to shield the sun and UV light. They are made of polyethylene tarp material and are made for toughness; they have a reinforced plastic corner making it extra strong, something that most people do not even consider.

If you need a strong, heavy duty tarp that can hold up to most jobs that you and your occupation or lifestyle has to dish out, consider using heavy duty white tarps for your own purposes. They are made to last in the sun, the snow, the wind, the rain and they can be used for just about anything that you may need them for. Don't skimp on the tarps and cheat yourself in the end; make a real investment in heavy duty white tarps today!

--
Tarpaulin expert Robert Page has worked in the poly tarps industry for over twenty years.
Are you in the market for a tarp? If so, you should not have any problems finding a store or company that sells them. But with that being said, you will need to know all of your options before you can actually make a purchase. Remember, there are many different types of tarps to choose from. If you do not know what is available you may not get the tarp that is best suited for your needs.

One of the first things that you will have to consider is the size of the tarp. The only way that you can do this is by first deciding what you are buying the tarp for. If you are purchasing it to cover a certain area or item, you will need to measure out how large of a tarp you need and then go from there. If you are not sure of the appropriate size, your next best option is to make a guess. And remember, if you are guessing you will be much better off over estimating on size as opposed to under estimating.

The next detail to consider is what material you need your tarp to be made from. You will want to buy a tarp that is waterproof, also durability must be very much in mind. Again, in order to make the right decision on material you will have to know what you are using the tarp for.Try to purchase a heavy duty tarp this will pay off in the long run.The benefits will be extra strength, grommets every 18ins, corner reinforcemet, extra uv protection, heavier weight.

Also, consider the color of the tarp that you are buying. Truthfully, this does not matter in many cases, but some people have a particular color that they want to buy. For example, if you are in need of a tarp to take hunting, a camouflage color will obviously be the best option. If you want your tarp to blend in with the environment a green tarp or canvas tarp does a good job. On the other hand if you covering needs are exposed to the sun go for a silver tarp. Silver tarps with extra UV added are very good at reflecting the suns rays.

There are many details to consider when buying a tarp. Many people think that every tarp is the same, but simply put this is not the truth. You will want to become familiar with all of your options before you decide to make a final purchasing decision.

--
Tarpaflex's range of economy and heavy duty tarps are manufactured from a sheet woven polyethylene which is then woven to give strength then laminated with at coating of not less than 30 microns polyethylene to produce a fully waterproof and tough plastic tarptarp.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com
