Mesothelioma is a fairly new type of cancer that is very serious and life threatening, as with most types of cancer. One thing that makes mesothelioma such a serious condition is that it is usually not found until the late stages of the cancer, causing the survival rate to be low. This is because the symptoms don’t usually arise until the late stages.

By this time the patient most likely doesn’t have much longer to live. Studies show most patients who are diagnosed with mesothelioma have a year or less left to live. Along with diagnosis being difficult and delayed, mesothelioma is also fairly uncommon and we are still learning more about the disease.

However, some studies show that one out of every ten mesothelioma patients will live up to three years after diagnosis and one out of every twenty people will live five years after diagnosis.

Studies are performed daily and new clinical trials are helping to increase the survival rate of those with mesothelioma. Survival rates vary depending on where the study is performed, and who is performing the study. In general, studies are very close in comparison.

Survival rates are based on several different factors. Some of these factors are, the size of the tumor, the stage the patient is in, whether the tumor can be completely removed with surgery, the quantity of fluid in the chest and abdomen and how long it took to diagnose the cancer.

Some other interesting facts about mesothelioma survival rates are that the average age of the patients who are diagnosed with mesothelioma are sixty one years of age and eighty one percent were male.

As said before, many studies are performed daily to find new ways to prolong the survival rate of those who have mesothelioma. Many studies have already proven to do just that. Lots of studies show that chemotherapy greatly increases the survival rate of those with mesothelioma. So, although this is a newer and less common cancer we are learning more about it daily.

With our learning we’ll eventually come up with more options of treatment and this will lead to an all together higher survival rate.

--
To learn more about Mesothelioma Cancer survival rates, including information on Mesothelioma Treatment, visit www.mesotheliomafaqsite.com where we provide all of this and much more!

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Obviously Mesothelioma treatment research is important for the person who has the cancer, the family of the person who has the cancer, and for physicians and researchers who are trying to find a cure.

For the patient it is very important to research the disease for many reasons. One reason is that it helps you to understand the disease. While researching you can find others who have the disease and what treatments have worked the best for them.

Thanks to chemical and laboratory researchers there are lots of new treatments available. Researching can also help you to understand things that could have caused the cancer. Taking the time to research and find out as much as you can about the disease can give you a piece of mind about what you or your loved one may be going through.

On the other side the work done by chemical and laboratory researchers is of most importance. Researchers are busy daily trying to find a way to treat, and hopefully in the future, cure mesothelioma. While they research, they find new and better ways to treat the disease.

Researchers realize that each person is different and they are trying to find a way to help everyone with mesothelioma and other forms of cancer. It is because of these devoted people that we have the treatments we use today. Researchers test there theories by doing clinical trials, and consistently trying to learn more about the biology of mesothelioma.

Each person is different and therefore requires a different form of treatment. Some go with the more conventional treatment plan while others may try clinical trials. Finding out the best treatment is important, and researching is a big aid in the fight.

There are many different ways to treat and even put cancer into remission. Many treatments that researchers have constructed are proven to be very effective, but so far there is no guarantee that a treatment will work for every patient. But, there is hope, because there are many companies, agencies, and professionals that are helping in the fight to end Mesothelioma cancer.

--
To learn more about Mesothelioma Cancer treatment research and Mesothelioma Treatment in general, visit www.mesotheliomafaqsite.com where we provide all of this and much more!

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Lung cancer of asbestos workers has increased greatly over the years. This is obviously due to the fact that the workers are exposed to the asbestos and breathe it in on a daily basis. This lung cancer (mesothelioma) is even more significant among the asbestos workers who smoke cigarettes.

Most lung cancer caused by excessive exposure to asbestos starts in the lining of the bronchi. The bronchi are the tubes in which the trachea or windpipe divide. It can also begin in other areas such as the alveoli, trachea, or bronchioles. The cancer usually develops slowly but once it occurs the cancer cells break away and then it spreads throughout various other body parts.

The most common places for people to breathe in asbestos is in mines, mills, factories, homes with asbestos, construction sites, during automotive repair, and pipefitting.

There are two major lung cancer types and they are:

- small cell lung cancer - The cancer cells are small and round.
- non-small cell lung cancer - The cancer cells are larger.

There have even been times when the cancer has a feature of both types. With small sell lung cancer the cells can multiply quickly and form large tumors. The tumors can then spread to the lymph nodes and to other various parts of the body.

There is treatment for asbestos lung cancer but it usually depends on the patient's health and the type of lung cancer that they have. It also depends on the size, location, and the extent of the tumor.

The different types of treatments are surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and photodynamic therapy.

The surgery is done to remove a part of the lung but it all depends on where the tumor is. It is a very serious procedure!

By using Chemotherapy, the cancerous cells are killed with drugs. Radiation works by destroying the cancer cells in the treated area. And lastly, the photodynamic therapy uses light to kill the cancerous cells. It is done by injecting a chemical into the bloodstream and is absorbed by the cells. The light then activates the chemical, destroying and killing off the cancerous cells.

--
To learn much more about Asbestos Lung Cancer (Mesothelioma Cancer) visit http://www.mesotheliomafaqsite.com/

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Why Buy a Home in Foreclosure?

Foreclosure is what happens when a buyer can no longer afford to pay on their home loan. When this happens, the property gets repossessed for the amount that could not be paid on the loan.

At the point of foreclosure the bank or financial institution has possession of the property and usually deals with it in one of four ways. Ownership is moved to the lender. Most of the time, when the lender takes the property their intent is to sell it in the open market.

This can happen by either making an agreement with the borrower in pre-foreclosure or they can buy it back at a public auction held by the county. Properties that are re-possessed are considered bank owned. Other times the borrower can get out of losing there home when the government gives them a certain allotted time to pay off the remainder of the loan. Another option for the buyer is that when they go into foreclosure they sell the home to a 3rd party buyer who then pays the remainder of the loan and it saves the borrower from getting the bad credit. One other option is that a home-buyer buys the home at a public auction.

By reading the previous paragraph you should have a general idea as to why it might be the best option to buy a home in foreclosure, if looking to buy a home. The percent of foreclosures are increasing nationwide as I’m typing this. Over a million foreclosures are expected to be on record this year (2008.)

Even though home prices are finally starting to come down a little, studies show buyers who buy in foreclosure usually purchase they’re home 25% cheaper than those who don’t buy in foreclosure.

Another possibility of buying a foreclosed home is that it is very possible to take the home and fix it up a bit, and re-sale it, or what they call home flipping. There is definitely money to be made in this. A person would definitely have to do they’re research on the home, and make sure they are making the right investment however.

They would have to figure how much it would take to not only buy the home but, to re-model, and then put it back on the market. There is definitely savings to be made with these situations. Either buying to keep, or buying to sell, if there are foreclosures in your area check them out. It is definitely worth it to see what they want out of the home.

--
To learn more about Buying Homes in Foreclosure and to weigh your options with Different Types of Mortgage Loans, visit http://www.gethomemortgageloan.com/ where we provide free information on these subjects and much more!

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

The constant struggle to obtain and maintain a high toolbar pagerank with Google is many times done for no reason. The first thing that must be realized is that the PR shown on your toolbar for a particular site is not frequently updated. Not only that but it is not imperative to your position in the SERPS. Many webmasters think that if their site rises from a PR3 to a PR5 on the toolbar that their visitors will magically increase; this is simply not true. The fact is, the pagerank for your site is almost constantly updated so the actual pagerank can increase visitors but the toolbar rank will not.

There are some things that the toolbar PR is good for though. When you go out looking for link exchanges what is one of the main things you look at? I know I look at the toolbar to see if the site is new or established. This can be a great tool to see whether or not a potential link request would be worth it. Also, if you plan to sell links on your web site you will have no problem finding buyers with a high pagerank. So to say that the Google toolbar PR is not valuable would be a false statement.

Now, the infamous duplicate content issue. I recently watched a very informational interview with Vanessa Fox, Google Webmaster centrals product manager, in which she enlightened everyone on what exactly Google considers to be duplicate content. What I got out of the interview was that Google does not give duplicate content penalties for more than one page on a site. What they do is a form of content filtering, where only one of the duplicate pages will be indexed.

After watching the interview I started thinking about article directory submissions. After hearing this advise I now believe that mass submitting the same article to multiple directories is not bad at all. Many people have been speaking of this issue for some time now, some for it and some against it. If Google filters the duplicate content and only indexes one of those pages then why do more than one page with your article get indexed? I believe this is because each individual page has its own template and layout. I personally believe that mass submitting articles will not hurt you but Google must give it less weight in the SERPS, as it is in fact duplicate text. The page with the highest weight in Google would get the highest position in the SERPS for your article.

When it comes down to it, quality relevant links pointing to your site along with a lot of quality relevant content equal high SERPS placement. Continue to do only proven white-hat techniques and stop worrying about your toolbar pagrank and you will continue to increase your site visitors.

--
Joshua Spaulding is an Author and Webmaster providing Proven ways to Make Money Online.
