Remember, most traditional foods can be prepared in a healthy manner. Turkey is very lean without the skin, and gravy can be made without any fat. Potatoes that are served without butter can be very healthy. The beloved pumpkin pie is nutritious, but adding whipped cream can make this dessert stick.

During the holiday fun, don't forget about the exercise. Exercise can help keep of the holiday weight. Push comes to shove, try to walk off your meals. You should plan a walk after meals, park farther from stores when you shop, and take a few walks around the mall before you begin shopping.

During holiday parties and at family dinners, feel free to sample foods but try not to splurge. A good strategy is to decide on what you plan to eat in advance, then stick to your plan. Before hitting the dessert table, make sure you eat plenty of vegetables and slices of lean meats.

If at all possible, avoid alcoholic beverages. Drinks are high in calories and low in nutritional value. Also, having too many drinks can cripple your will power, and also add excess calories to your diet. In the place of alcohol, drink water with lemon. Water can help to limit your appetite and keep you from binging. Also make sure to avoid/limit eggnog, as each glass can have up to 300 calories.

Remember to be flexible with your healthy eating, one bad meal won't ruin your diet. Try to balance your calories over a few days and don't just look at one meal or day.

Let's say for example that you want to promote low carb diets. If you go to Google and search for low carb diets, you'll fetch about 291,000 results.  These are the web pages that YOU are competing with. Chances  of making money in that market is basically slim to none.

Now, if you narrow your search down to "low carb diets for active but diabetic senior citizens", the results drop to an amazing 8,610 results. 

Do you suppose that there are active senior citizens that are diabetic? Of Course! After all, according to major statistics, the risk for type 2 diabetes increases with age. Approximately 18.3% (8.6 million) of the United States population age 60 and older have diabetes. Further more, according to new clinical studies low-carb diets can be beneficial in diabetes treatment.

By developing a niche market, you target a specific group of people that are looking for exactly what you are giving.

Low carb diets is an example here, but you get the idea.  The point of niche marketing can be applied to just about every genre.

Now that you have the general idea of what niche marketing is, how it works and how it can make you money, you'll need to locate a potential niche market and provide that market with just the type of product they desperately want.

3. Participate in forums related to your product.

You can start your forum board or join an existing one. Be careful when promoting on forum boards, however, you do not want to violate a forums terms of service, another reason why you want to create your own personal website for your product.

Do not try to selling initially, but during your forum discussions, you might want to mention the product you’re promoting and describe its benefits. If there is interest in your product, you can then refer them to the product through your website.  You might even want to place your link in your forum signature for others to click through.

 

 

4. Write about your product.

Create an article about your product and then submit it to article. Keep in mind that many readers are interested in “information” that can help them. If you use your article solely for selling, you will never gain credibility.

Additionally, you can create a free ebook for others to read. As part of your ebook, include an advertisement and a link to your affiliate website. Submit your ebook to the ebook directories and offer it to other webmasters for inclusion on their website. The more exposure your ebook receives, the more sales you can make.
