To not try and execute some sort of SEO optimization attempt is literally missing out on thousands of potential customers that may have interest with your business or your product offering.

The following list outlines ten rules to follow when embarking on your SEO journey. Enough talk - lets get to work!

When just starting in SEO - Target words that are attainable and precise

Of course every business wants to be ranked #1 for the top 3 highest trafficked keywords, but in most cases it is the secondary tier of terms that can deliver your best profits. This rule becomes even more true if you are just starting your SEO execution and have a limited # of existing links that are inbound. By starting out optimizing for the 2nd tier of keywords, your success chances are raised and your speed to first page rank increases dramatically.

Understand the concept of keyword density and make sure your terms are in the right percentage range

Keyword density is the percentage of total words within the body of a page that is the keyword that you are targeting. For example, lets suppose your were a fishing products retailer trying to optimize your homepage for the terms "fishing supplies". Within the page, the term "fishing supplies" should represent between 5-10% of the total text. Go more than ten percent through un-natural writing and your page may be flagged as spam. Go less than 5% and your density may not be high enough. 5-10% has proven to be the "sweet spot" in today's search algorithm regarding keyword density.

Leverage "viral" marketing for your link building

One way links are more valuable than reciprocal links. Because of "link farms", the major engines have reconstructed their algorithms to place a higher value on one way links. Outside of buying these links which is also considered black hat tactics by Google engineers, the most effective way is to syndicate original content on via the internet to other content hungry webmasters. By crafting original articles that include your business URL, and by manually submitting these articles to content networks/article directories on the internet, when these articles are shown live by other sites you have a natural "one way" credit link for the content. These one way links make you seen as more of an authority within the engines and hence drive up your natural rankings.

Go after 2-3 primary keywords per page, no more and no less

Each page should focus on ranking well for two, maybe three keywords per page. By targeting tags and content towards a more specific keyword focus, success chances are increased and the content can be focused towards the keywords. Optimizing a page for 5+ terms is a waste of time and will just lead to poor rankings for the attempted terms.

Tighten up your title tags

Title tags are the single biggest “on page” component to the major search engine algorithms. It is crucial that your tag be only the two to three keyword phrases that you are targeting within the webpage and that the keywords are replicated within additional tags and within the body of the text. Avoid commas within title tags and stick to a format that has worked tremendously for many retailers and brands. Use the “|” key on your keyboard as it is a natural looking phrase separator that is easier to index than a title with commas. Take a look at the example below:

Title 1: Fishing Supplies, Tackle, Rods

Title 2: Fishing Supplies | Fishing Tackle | Fishing Rods

The second example is a more effective written title tag that will rank better within the engines. It is more specific to a user, easier to index, and repeats the keyword “fishing” which is extremely pertinent to the theme of the page.

Include core keyword in the url if possible

Including a targeted keyword within a url string has become a vital practice of SEO as of late, especially within eCommerce where businesses are targeting to increase rankings of unique product pages for researching shoppers online. Most sites in the eCommerce sector however are dynamic, and generate URL’s that include characters such as “?” or a “&” that tend to limit crawling by web spiders.

A better practice is to implement a module within your platform that automatically generates static URL’s (i.e. an “.htm” URL string) that includes your most profitable keyword. Look below for an example:

Old URL: www.yourcompany.com/category/641?product-632.aspx

New URL: www.yourcompany.com/category/dvd/sony-dvd-recorder-63754.htm

Notice the .htm at the end of the string and the mention of the product within the URL. By executing both your site will be more deeply crawled and more properly indexed.

Understand "anchor text" and why it is so critical

Anchor text is the text of your links on external site. For instance, using Trinity as the example, the link eCommerce consulting on a link partner site will take a web surfer to http://www.trinityinsight.com. “ECommerce Consulting” is considered the anchor text for that link. It is crucial that within content syndication and organic link building your business make sure that you’re most vital and targeted keywords are represented within the anchor text that points to your website.

Make these changes and continue to add great original content to your site and see your rise in the search engines happen. More than anything you need patience as it does not happen overnight. Be prepared to wait at least 6 months to see any immediate impact, especially if you have just been recently indexed.

Early Greeks used Parsley to make crowns for the Olympian winners. Hebrew tradition uses Parsley as part of Passover as a symbol of spring and rebirth.
Parsley tracks all the way back to Hippocrates who used it for medicinal purposes for cure alls and as an antidote for poisons. He also used it for ridding kidney and bladder stones. Many of these prior claims have been validated through modern science and it is true that Parsley is rich in vitamin A and C and is also shown to clear toxins from the body and reduces inflammation.
Parsley has three times the amount of Vitamin C than oranges do!
Back in much earlier times, any ailments that was thought to be caused from a lack of Vitamin C was treated with Parsley such as for bad gums and loose teeth, and for brightening what were considered dim eyes. The Greeks almost feared Parsley because it was associated with Archemorus, who too was an ancient Greek. Ancient tales tell that Archemorus was left as a baby on a parsley leaf by his nurse and was eaten by a serpent. For this reason the Greeks were terrified of Parsley which sounds kind of silly now but it took a while for them to get over that.
Parsley was also used to regulate menstrual cycles because parsley contains apiol which mimics estrogen, the female sex hormone. Parsley was also used to ward off Malaria and is told to have been very successful in doing so and it aided with water retention as well.
Although these are old wives tales as some might call them when you consider them for just a minute they really do make a lot of sense. Some of these old remedies still are used in part today such as the use of Parsley for kidney stones, as a diuretic, for rheumatoid arthritis, as a stimulant, for menstrual regulation, to settle the stomach, and as an appetite stimulant.
You can purchase Parsley juice at herbal stores and it can be very healthy for you although it might not taste the greatest it can be mixed with other juices to enhance the flavor. Dried Parsley really has the least amount of nutritional value to it.

Before spending any amount of money on any Fore trading course or fore training program there are some important aspects you need to take in consideration. There are many training programs available, but not every one of them suits the needs of every trader.

Now what exactly is an abstract painting? An abstract painting is defined in many ways. First off, an abstract painting does not depict reality like traditional paintings. The Secret Is Out

No less than five years ago, it seemed like you head to the Green River and see few others along your little stretch of paradise. These days, it seems like a freeway.

The Green River starts at Flaming Gorge in the far Northeast of Utah. It then winds down through the Dinosaur National Monument area before passing through the deserts of central Utah and eventually flows into the Colorado River. The best fishing is around Flaming Gorge where the scenery and water make for a great trip.

Perhaps it is just me, but this area of the river must have been highlighted in more than a few magazines. There are all manner of people on the river and jet skis aren’t unheard of. Admittedly, there has always been white water rafting groups in sections, but nothing like this. Kayakers and so on seem to be flourishing like mad. If there had been a few more boats on the river, you would’ve needed a traffic cop!

Now don’t get me wrong. The river is for everyone. It is just a bummer when a little known spot becomes a hot spot. Sort of a case of paradise lost.

While the river is certainly more busy, the fish still seem to be biting. Browns and Rainbows are the catch of the day.

Perhaps I was just there on a bad day. The Green River is so nice that even a bad day is still a good day. What the heck, I could’ve been working!

Tiscali has broadband connections at 1Mbps, and 2Mbps. They also give you a free connection and modem. Another perk is that they will allow you to download as much content as you would like, as they have no limit cap like some other ISPs.

The reputation of Tiscali as an ISP is not very good. The customer service with Tiscali has suffered along with all the other ISPs who lower their package costs to attract customers. Tiscali's call center, which is located in India, is expensive, inefficient and downright frustrating to use. They offer little real advice, and emailing Tiscali does not seem to work, either. Tiscali sends automated responses that do not solve your problem. People who don't believe that there are problems with Tiscali customer support quickly find out that it is a major problem. The email accounts at Tiscali are so loaded down with spam that this creates downtime and connection speed issues.

With BT opening their Local Loop phone line network, other ISPs now have the option to use their own equipment instead of BT's. This has been good for the other ISPs, because they can provide ADSL service cheaper and have a faster connection than in the past. This is how Tiscali has been able to have such competitive prices. Tiscali has set up their own line at each telephone exchange. The problems arise when a number of local residents try to use this small line, which is split among all of them. BT and the other services that continue to use their equipment have the advantage of using larger lines that are connected to the BT network. Tiscali's choice to set up their own equipment has a result of subscribers finding their connection is slow and their download speeds are also very limited. The speed of the connection for Tiscali subscribers is directly related to how many other subscribers are using the local Tiscali network. Tiscali plans to address this issue in the future, but many customers have become frustrated with Tiscali and moved to other broadband providers.

Tiscali has a Pay As You Go and unlimited dialup access that runs at 56kbps. Their service for this is currently cheaper than BT's. There is also a package that includes a mid-band speed of either 150kbps or 256kbps. Tiscali offers email, web space, and exclusive downloads and video channels with all their accounts, whether they are dialup or broadband.

Tiscali offers good prices, which is why they are the fourth largest broadband provider in the UK. Their top three packages are very similar to BT's. They also manage to stay close to their competitors in terms of speed and price.

The only thing that is considered reliable about Tiscali is that they are one of the cheapest options for broadband service. However, subscribers must put up with the poor reputation they have earned with their bad customer service and speed problems.

With computers having the capability of using an LCD TV screen as a monitor, or stream media to the TV, one can imagine the financial benefits of this technology, but only if you have broadband.

The examples listed are likely the most common ways to save a buck or two with broadband. Internet telephone and Internet TV are just a couple examples of new technology for broadband to come. by now it should be fairly clear to most people that faster surfing and downloads are only the very basic of benefits to broadband users.

Most dial up users won't switch to high speed Internet because they believe it's too expensive. Sure the basic subscription is more, but there are literally hundreds of ways to offset the higher cost of broadband Internet service.

If you are not sure exactly what you want in your beach design, try looking in decorating magazines and books to get a flavor of the accessories you would like to see in your bedroom. For keeping the beach look consistent, you will have to limit yourself to only purchase the accessories that match your theme.

Colors for a beach décor should make you think of the beach. Light and breezy with lots of blues and maybe even some yellows. If you prefer neutral tones think of the beige of beach sand and the color of shells.

Incorporate sea shells, ocean prints, and other seaside accents that will help bring out the beach in your bedroom. You should group your accessories in odd numbers. It always looks nice if your groupings consist of tall and short accessories mixed together. An interesting group of accents might consist of some shells aside a nice beach theme frame and a taller lamp.

Use beach theme prints and photos on your walls to establish the theme throughout your bedroom. Many people do not know how to correctly hang a piece of art and this makes a big difference to the visual appeal. Whether you are hanging a large oil painting or a small print, the middle of the piece should be at eye level. If you have a large piece of artwork you can try using it as a headboard.
When hanging prints or photos behind a table, always place them 7 to 10 inches above the table. Hang pictures in circular, triangular, or rectangular geometric groupings to add interest.

When accessorizing your bedroom Do not forget about the lighting. When purchasing lamps make sure to buy ones that go with the beach theme you want to create. For beach style lighting try using clear glass lamps filled with shells or figural light house shaped lamps.

Area rugs can define a space and pull your bedroom together. Rest furniture completely on the rug for a warmer effect. Only use rugs that go with your beach accessories.

Using pillows can add interest as well. Use several at the top of the bed and vary the texture colors and patterns while still keeping the color and theme within your overall bedroom design.

Do not think you have to buy everything for your bedroom at once. Shop around to find the perfect accessories to match the beach theme in your bedroom. You can find bargains at consignment stores flea markets and yard sales.


If it all stacks up, buy it and enjoy. Just one more tip though. If it does not captivate you in the first 100 pages and you find reading it a chore, give it up. Do not keep persisting just because you do not like leaving things unfinished. The book will not feel hurt if you do not finish it. And the author will never know.

And when you go to the bookshop sometimes, it is hard not to be overwhelmed by the sheer number of books on offer, especially with the big mega stores becoming the norm. So what to do?

I have put together a checklist that with a little bit of preparation can help you wade through
the sea of books and help you pick a surefire winner: a novel that will captivate YOU.

1. The best place to start is to look out in magazines, newspapers and online for book reviews see what is being billed as the latest must read. Even if you do not have time to read the whole review, jot down the title and author as one to look out for.


2. Ask friends for the best book they have read in the last few months or this year or the last few years if like you they really are struggling with the whole when-am-I-going-to-find-time-to-read-a-novel?-thing. Do not just ask them what book was their favourite; ask them why they liked it. Was it an unusual story, was the pace so fast they needed a crash helmet, did it have edge of the seat suspense, and did it remind them of growing up? You want to know what exactly made it a great read for them. This will help you to refine your search, especially if they say they liked the quirky twist in the ending and you do not do quirky. Just because you are close friends does not automatically mean you like the same books.

3. Ask the people behind the counter at your favorite bookshop what they enjoyed reading and get them to take you to it or give you a specific reference number so you can find it easily yourself.

4. When you get the book in your hands look at the cover. Is it a catchy title? Does the cover appeal to you? Despite the old saying about not judging book covers, publishers put a lot of time and effort into creating a captivating cover and title. Does it work for you?

5. Turn it over and read the back. Does it still appeal? Do you only like reading modern books and this is set in the 1800s? It is important to be ruthless at this stage. If the premise for the story does not leave you wanting more, chances are the writing probably will not either.

6. Look at the size of the book. I know this isn’t something for the purists but if you don’t get time to read many novels, don’t launch back in with a 700 page tome or it will probably take you all year and then you’ll be frustrated and annoyed at wasting time and money on something you haven’t enjoyed.

7. The next step is crucial. Read the opening - does it get you in straight off? Novels have a bit more time to seduce you than a short story but not much these days. A good opening is like someone placing a thread around your finger and gently tugging on it. They have got you but can they keep you?

8. Has the author mentioned 10 characters and 5 different place names in the first 3 paragraphs? You want to be captivated not confused, remember? If your main reading time is before you drop off to sleep, books that have lots of characters and places or even a family tree at the beginning are a warning that it gets complicated and you need to keep track of who is who and what they’re up to.

9. Are there lots of long sentences or are they short and sharp? Lots of short sentences usually mean action and pace. Something. Is happening. Right now. Usually it is best to go for a story with a combination of both - one that suits your preferred action/background information mix.

10. If you still think the book in your hands is worthy, randomly flip open the book in 5 places and see whether it is densely packed with text. Is there dialogue at each page you stop? No dialogue usually means that a book is more descriptive rather than direct scenes. If you want a compelling read then go for something with a fair amount of dialogue; if you don’t mind a slower pace then bits of dialogue here and there is probably enough to keep you going.

If it all stacks up, buy it and enjoy. Just one more tip though. If it does not captivate you in the first 100 pages and you find reading it a chore, give it up. Do not keep persisting just because you do not like leaving things unfinished. The book will not feel hurt if you do not finish it. And the author will never know.
