Since the dawn of time, men have set on a quest to challenge their own limitations. Extreme sports lovers wishing to push their personal limits love outdoor travel adventures on Catalina Island which include: Scuba Diving in the beautiful kelp forests that line the coast of Avalon CA., parasailing over the ocean and then mountain biking the upper trails from the Airport in the Sky on the island down to the Wrigley Botanical Gardens. The only way to ride a bike on the island is on the Wrigley Memorial Trail. The trails on Catalina are raw, rugged and will test the endurance of those who ride.

Eric Mahan, manager of a popular scuba divers supply shop on Catalina Island states "I challenge those who say they are in prime condition to come over and join us for our own version of ‘Survivor'. If you think you can handle it, call and book your adrenaline filled weekend today... but there's no refunds for chickening out! For those who take on the challenge of our Ultimate Vacation Dive, Bike, and Fly Weekend Challenge you will need a vacation after a weekend like this!"

He continues with a hearty laugh: "We will supply all the gear you need if you are up to the challenge. You must be in excellent physical and mental condition to apply for the weekend adventure."

Activities categorized as adventure sports differ from traditional sports due to the higher number of inherently uncontrollable variables. Athletes in these activities compete not only against other athletes, but also against environmental obstacles and challenges. These environmental variables are frequently weather and terrain related, including wind, snow, water and mountains. Because these natural phenomena cannot be controlled, they inevitably affect the outcome of the given activity or event.

The word adventure has different meanings for different people. Generally, adventure implies thrill and excitement, risks and dangers, and the unexpected and extraordinary experiences. The adventurous people are always on the look out for things that will evoke new feelings and sensations. This is the definition of adventure commonly accepted. However, there are others for who adventure means much more than this. They associate adventure with a certain frame of mind that helps them enjoy life to the fullest, by accepting it as it unfolds before them.

F1 Moves From The Circuits To The Boardrooms http://www.articletrader.com/sports/f1-moves-from-the-circuits-to-the-boardrooms.html http://www.articletrader.com/sports/f1-moves-from-the-circuits-to-the-boardrooms.html Sat, 21 Nov 2009 16:08:58 -0600
The hottest news this week is the decision of Brawn GP to sell their F1 operation to Mercedes-Benz. Brawn GP won the Drivers Championship this year with Britain's Jenson Button at the wheel. They also won the Constructors Championship. When your value is at its highest, why not sell, which is what the team did.

Speculation is that this transaction may see Jenson Button move to McLaren to join Lewis Hamilton. There's the potential of McLaren having a British dynamic duo on the starting grid for next year's races. Both Button and Hamilton are World Champions, winning the F1 crowns in 2009 and 2008 respectively.

Mercedes-Benz will rename Brawn GP as Mercedes Grand Prix. Mercedes' parent company Daimler AG will take over a 75.1 percent stake of Brawn GP. They are doing this in partnership with an Abu Dhabi investment company. Mercedes will own 45.1 percent and Aabar Investments will own 30 percent. Ross Brawn will remain as team principal. He and chief executive Nick Fry will keep a 24.9 percent stake in the new Mercedes Formula One team.

With their decision to buy Brawn, Mercedes-Benz is relinquishing their 40 percent share in the McLaren team. McLaren will reacquire this share portion over the next two years. However, Mercedes-Benz will still provide engines to McLaren, with whom they have a longstanding business relationship. McLaren will continue to use their engines until at least 2015.

The 2010 F1 season is going to be notable for other new owners entering the fray. In addition, the grid is losing some teams as well. BMW Sauber previously announced their withdrawal from Formula 1. On November 4, 2009, just after the season's final race in Abu Dhabi, Toyota announced they are pulling out of Grand Prix racing. They cited current severe economic realities as the basis for their corporate decision.

Campos Meta, Team US F1, the 1Malaysia F1 Team (1MF1T) and Manor Grand Prix are the new teams preparing for the 2010 Formula 1 races. All are working feverishly to test their new cars and secure drivers. Team US F1 is expecting the first test of their car come January. Their base is in Charlotte, North Carolina. They also have a logistics base in Spain.

Manor Grand Prix team owner John Booth's Sheffield, England facilities are undergoing a revamp. This is to accommodate his new Formula One cars. Sheffield is their logistics and assembly base. The team's main design and manufacturing base is at Wirth Research in Bicester. Their marketing base is in London.

The Campos Meta team's base is in Valencia, Spain. This team has been performing wind tunnel research on their car since July. Adrian Campos leads this new Grand Prix entry.

The 1Malaysia F1 Team is operating through Lotus F1 Racing. They reported on October 30, 2009 that they are in full swing with wind tunnel testing. They are also ready to start on the layup of their first chassis. Team Principal Dato' Sri Tony Fernandes appointed Riad Asmat to lead the management of the 1Malaysia F1 Team and the racing team, Lotus F1 Racing.

Teams experienced or new, are always looking for the right driver combinations to secure podium positions. The Williams team will have Rubens Barrichello and Williams tester and reigning GP2 champion Nico Hulkenberg as their drivers. Barrichello moves over from the former Brawn GP team.

With the number of F1 drivers who live in Monaco at least the private banking in Monaco sector should be happy next year!

Kimi Raikkonen of Finland is looking to drive with a new team next year. Fernando Alonso is taking over his seat at Ferrari in 2010. Felipe Massa, seriously injured in the Hungarian Grand Prix, is set to resume his career with Ferrari come the first race in March in Bahrain. Massa drove the 2009 version of Ferrari's car at Spain's Valencia circuit this past Sunday, completing approximately 20 laps.

Bruno Senna is set to make his Formula One debut with the new Campos Meta team. Last week, the Brazilian driver visited the Dallara factory in Italy where his car is undergoing construction. He is the nephew of late three-time Formula One world champion Ayrton Senna.

This week, the Manor GP team confirmed Timo Glock as their lead driver for next season. Glock drove for Toyota this past season. Manor has been crash testing all areas of their car since May. Timo Glock made his Formula 1 debut in 2004 as a stand-in.

Formula 1 is speeding along under a different paradigm right now, just two weeks removed from the end of the 2009 season. With off-track action heating up, it bodes well for on-track action for 2010.

Golf In Europe - Winter 2010 http://www.articletrader.com/sports/golf-in-europe-winter-2010.html http://www.articletrader.com/sports/golf-in-europe-winter-2010.html Wed, 11 Nov 2009 16:05:03 -0600
The Canaries are comprised of seven major islands, and five of them provide golfers a unique golfing experience. The volcanic landscape of the Canaries was formed by the Canary hotspot and decades of volcanic activity. This unusual landscape lends an air of off-world adventure in some areas of the islands.

Golfing on Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is centrally located and home to the largest city of the Canary Islands: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria is also home to at least five beautiful golf courses. Most of the golf courses on Gran Canaria include shops for rentals or purchases, driving ranges, instructors for those who wish to improve their game, restaurants and snack bars. The golf clubs of Gran Canaria are:

* Real Club de Golf Las Palmas: Inaugurated on December 17, 1891, Real Club de Golf Las Palmas is the oldest golf course in Spain. This par 71, 18-hole golf course includes one normal putting green and one floodlit putting green.

* El Cortijo Club de Campo: Designed by Blake Stirling and Marco Martin, this par 72, 18-hole course has quick greens and six lakes.

* Campo de Golf Maspalomas: Nature and beauty had everything to do with this par 73, 18-hole golf course designed by Mackenzie Ross.

* Salobre Golf & Resort: As one of the newest golf courses on the island, Salobre offers a par 71, 18-hole course.

* Anfi Tauro Golf: This par 3, 9-hole course offers a more relaxed atmosphere than its larger counterparts.

There are now more airlines flying to Gran Canaria offering cheap Gran Canaria flights

Golfing on Tenerife

Tenerife is the largest of the seven islands and situated to the west of Gran Canaria. It is home to the second largest city of the Canaries: Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Golf is one of Tenerife's most popular sports, second only to water sports. Winter golfing is a growing sport in all of Tenerife's golf courses. Mt. Teide, the tallest point in Spain, is located on Tenerife. Mt. Teide can be seen from all of Tenerife's golf courses, providing magnificent scenic opportunities.

Tenerife's golf courses include:

* Amarilla Golf and Country Club: stunning par 72, 18-hole golf course designed by Donald Steel is a great combination of residential real estate and international-standard golfing.

* Golf Las Americas: This par 72, 18-hole golf course provides great views of Playa de Las Americas or the ocean from nearly every hole.

* Golf Costa Adeje: A natural ravine and three tee-off levels of varying heights provide a very unique golfing experience at Golf Costa Adeje.

* Golf Del Sur: The infamous golf battle between Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson during the Shell Wonderful World of Golf tournament took place at Golf Del Sur. Two golf driving distance records have also been set at this famous golf course.

* La Rosaleda Golf Club: La Rosaleda offers a relaxing atmosphere for beginners or those who simply wish to improve their short play. Experienced trainers are available to help golfers improve their swing.

* Golf Los Palos: Golf Los Palos is a par 27, 9-hole course that provides numerous water hazards. Although a relatively small course, it's perfect for family outings and beginner golfers.

* Real Club de Golf Tenerife: The second oldest golf course in Spain is home to clearly visible hazards that help golfers learn to develop great golfing strategies.

Golfing on Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands. Aside from the oldest history and longest beaches of the Canaries, Fuerteventura has one large 18-hole golf course. Fuerteventura Golf Club was designed by Juan Catarimeau. Catarimeau took great care in creating this course with an awareness of how the wind affects the outcome of every swing.

Golfing on Lanzarote

Although more golf courses are currently being planned, the primary course on Lanzarote is Golf Costa Teguise. This 18-hole golf course designed by John Harris and built in 1978 challenges beginners as well as expert golfers. The course is located at the base of an inactive volcano and surrounded by all natural flora.

Golfing on La Gomera

La Gomera is an adventure in itself. The island's landscape is one of deep ravines and high cliffs. Islanders have developed a special way to communicate across the ravines by whistling. Tecina Golf course, designed by Donald Steel, is the island's only golf course. Views of the sea and mountains are never obstructed by buildings, because there are no buildings on the golf course itself.

So if you fancy a break in the sun and you like golf, why not try one of the Canary Islands for a game of golf in the warm sunshine?

What You Need To Know About Basketball Scholarship http://www.articletrader.com/sports/what-you-need-to-know-about-basketball-scholarship.html http://www.articletrader.com/sports/what-you-need-to-know-about-basketball-scholarship.html Wed, 11 Nov 2009 10:06:50 -0600
1) Evaluate your abilities and objectives. This will help you to choose the right sport and to define what college type will be the best selection.
2) Be honest to yourself and estimate the level of your abilities. Note that playing in the biggest college is marvellous, but you take the risk of sitting on the bench, when at the same time in a smaller college you'll definitely play during all 4 academic years.
3) Take time to create your personal recruiting pack including reference letter, full-length resume and game videos. You may do it by your own strength or engage a special company to do it for you. But we advise that you create the documents packet by yourself, because you know your weaknesses and talents.
4) Stay in contact with colleges all the time, try to reveal your best qualities. It's a brilliant idea to play the recruiting game on the college coach's level. In this way you'll be positioned above other recruits from the very beginning.
5) Don't be upset even in case you have been rejected a great number of times. Believe in yourself. Try to talk to coaches on the mature level. Be alert, ask correct questions and have the correct answers. Persuade the coaches that you are the player they have been looking for.

The winners of an athletic scholarship are usually athletes who have determination and drive to follow the plan of games over the whole recruiting season. It is not that easy, you have to work hard to get a scholarship. But if you strive for putting your dream into practice you'll find a source of inspiration to win an athletic college scholarship.

Sebastian Vettel Wins Grand Prix Finale in Abu Dhabi http://www.articletrader.com/sports/sebastian-vettel-wins-grand-prix-finale-in-abu-dhabi.html http://www.articletrader.com/sports/sebastian-vettel-wins-grand-prix-finale-in-abu-dhabi.html Wed, 04 Nov 2009 08:45:00 -0600
The course has three chicanes, six 90-degree corners, and a hairpin turn, which leads to the longest straight in Formula One. In addition, the exit from the pit lane means drivers must zip through a tunnel under the circuit. Top speeds on the circuit are in the 320 km/h range, with average speeds of 198 km/h.

The Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirate's capital is 5.554 kilometers in length. The race is 55 laps for a total race distance of 305.470 kilometers. The highlight, from an aesthetic point of view, is the circuit's 500-room Yas Marina Hotel. The racetrack actually winds its way around the hotel and under its pedestrian walkway. All of the hotel guests can see the F1 race from their rooms.

There is also the 60-metre solar powered Sun Tower, which hosts invited guests of the race. For the drivers, the challenge of the Abu Dhabi race is the heat from the intense sun. In addition, there's the sand in the air, and the risk of dehydration. Drivers have to be in top physical shape as they negotiate the circuit in their very tight and hot racecar cockpits.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix event began with circuit familiarization. Being a new course, drivers and team officials walked the course to get a sense of its characteristics. The drivers ran their Friday practice runs and then moved to Saturday qualifying. Lewis Hamilton set a blistering pace in the desert heat to claim the pole for Sunday's race. Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull-Renault and teammate Mark Webber took second and third on the starting grid.

Race day would not prove so kind, however to McLaren's Lewis Hamilton. He started well and used his KERS system to boost his position at the start of the race. However, it was apparent that the Red Bull drivers were running at top pace.

Lewis Hamilton was fighting to hold his position ahead of them. He never did build a substantial lead from his pole position. In fact, brake troubles plagued him from the get-go. Consequently, he had to retire from the race on Lap 20.

Sebastian Vettel with his car running at optimum performance took the race lead after his first pit stop. He never relinquished it from that point on. He did build up a significant lead, and eventually winning the race, scored 10 points. This left Mark Webber and Jenson Button of Brawn GP dueling to provide the real race drama.

These two drivers rose to the challenge and battled hard. Jenson Button, who started fifth on the grid steadily pushed on and secured third position. As the race wound down to its final laps, he pressured Mark Webber hard for second place.

On Webber's tail, Button tried to maneuver to overtake him before the checkered flag came down in the casino atmosphere. However, Webber held his line and position. In the end, he garnered second place and eight points. Button took the third spot on the victor's podium and won six points, which gave him 95 for 2009. He secured the World Championship two weeks earlier at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Button's teammate Rubens Barrichello drove a consistent race. He had a slight brush up with Mark Webber on the first turn of the first lap. This resulted in front wing damage. He ended up maintaining his original grid position, finishing fourth in the race.

Barrichello didn't secure enough points in the last two races of the season. He didn't hold his second spot in the Drivers Standing. Sebastian Vettel, with his win on Sunday, came in second in the overall season points with 84. Barrichello came in third overall for 2009 with 77 points.

Nick Heidfeld of BMW Sauber drove well and took fifth spot. He was very quick at times in the race. However, he could not consistently match the pace of the frontrunners. His fifth place finish propelled BMW Sauber into sixth-place overall in the Constructors Standings.

Kamui Kobayashi of Toyota, replacing the injured Timo Glock drove impressively and finished in sixth spot. This was only his second Grand Prix race of the year. He engaged in a spirited battle for position with Jenson Button at one point. With drivers jockeying for spots with teams for 2010, he definitely helped his cause with this driving effort.

Kobayashi's Toyota teammate Jarno Trulli also drove well and finished right behind in seventh spot. His effort was an improvement on the Brazilian F1 race where he retired on the first lap due to an accident.
Sebastien Buemi of Toro Rosso took the final point awarded in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton was not the only driver forced to retire early on Sunday. Jaime Alguersuari of Toro Rosso suffered the same fate. He left the race on Lap 18 with gearbox issues.

At season's end, the Constructors Championship went to Brawn-Mercedes, who secured the title in Brazil. They closed 2009 with 172 points. RBR-Renault came in second with 153.50 points. McLaren-Mercedes ended up third with 71 points, just ahead of Ferrari who had 70 points.

It should prove to be an equally exciting off-season in Formula One. Three new teams are set to enter the fray. These are Campos Grand Prix, Team US F1, and Manor Grand Prix. Additionally, new drivers from the junior series are hoping to gain drives with the big boys.

In fact, the news is coming fast in F1. The start of this week begins with news that Rubens Barrichello is moving from Brawn GP to Williams. He will be a teammate to new driver Nico Hulkenberg. A Williams tester, Hulkenberg is the reigning GP2 champion.

With the drama on the tracks over-and-out for 2009, the drama off-track is just beginning. It's leading up to another exciting Formula 1 season for 2010. Montreal, Canada will have their GP race back next year. There will also be a Korean Grand Prix next October. Stay tuned and stay ready for Formula 1 racing in all its coming permutations for 2010.

Starting An Internet Business For Fun And Profit http://www.articletrader.com/sports/starting-an-internet-business-for-fun-and-profit.html http://www.articletrader.com/sports/starting-an-internet-business-for-fun-and-profit.html Wed, 28 Oct 2009 17:47:06 -0500
There are many different ways for starting an Internet business, but I feel that the best way is to create a content web site which is centered on a specific theme. Web sites have the ability to become "sticky" with search engines and visitors. When done right and in my opinion, provides the best way to have a low risk high reward online business, which adapts to the ever changing online business marketing environment.

Many methods for making money online come and go but the demand for high quality web sites, which provide great information and value to the web will always be sought after by search engines and visitors. So while many fads will come on go to a great content site which supplies great information on a theme will always be around.
Starting an Internet business using a content web site takes work and a lot of it but the rewards are huge. The income potential is limitless and if the right theme is chosen the work is actually more fun and enjoyable for the webmaster. Some of the work involved includes designing a site layout, researching a theme, researching keywords, creating content, optimizing content and using off site marketing to bring in traffic and higher search engine rankings.

The above may seem like an overload of information but believe it or not can be learned quickly. I cannot go over every detail of online marketing in this article but can cover the first and probably most important aspect. Choosing the right theme is extremely important and a good week should be spent on it before any other work is done. Choose the wrong theme and wrong keywords for the theme and the sites are doomed.

The best place to start is by thinking of a theme which you can write about, a content site needs a lot of top quality content added regularly. It is very thought to write great content on subjects that you know nothing about. It is also very important to explore the keywords for the theme and see what type of demand, there is online for it. The last step for finding a profitable web site theme is to look at the competition in the search engines on the theme. These steps for starting an Internet business will but you on the right foot for long term success online.

2009 Brazilian F1 - Button Wins The World Championship http://www.articletrader.com/sports/2009-brazilian-f1-button-wins-the-world-championship.html http://www.articletrader.com/sports/2009-brazilian-f1-button-wins-the-world-championship.html Sun, 25 Oct 2009 16:36:30 -0500
The first Brazilian Grand Prix took place at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo in 1973. Over the years, Rio and Sao Paulo both have hosted the race. Eventually, the Interlagos circuit regained its position as sole host of the event.

Interlagos is a neighbourhood of the city of Sao Paulo. The name Interlagos means "between the lakes". The course goes by the official name Autodromo Carlos Pace, after the Brazilian F1 driver who won his first and only Formula One race there in the '70s.

This particular Formula 1 racetrack is 4.309 kilometers in length. The total race distance is 305.909 kilometers. The Brazilian Grand Prix is a 71-lap race. The circuit features a first turn named after F1 great Ayrton Senna, and a long straight between turn three and four. The track also includes a series of challenging turns and varying elevation changes.

Saturday's qualifying ended up being a wet affair. Heavy rains turned this session into the longest one in Formula 1 history. It ran two hours and 41 minutes. Qualifying efforts saw Brazilian driver Rubens Barrichello of Brawn GP take the pole position. Second on the grid went to Mark Webber, while Adrian Sutil of Force India took the third spot.

Teams prepared for rain on Sunday race day as well, but in the end, it held off. The race started with intense energy. Bold manoeuvers by drivers jockeying for positions from the start resulted in mishaps. Adrian Sutil was out of the race after the first lap. He had a touch-up with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen and a collision with Jarno Trulli of Toyota.

Trulli, upset, got out of his car, ran over to Sutil and berated him. Fisticuffs looked to be next but cooler heads prevailed. Trulli received a fine for going against race marshal orders and for his fit of anger against Sutil. Trulli also retired from the race at this point.

Fernando Alonso of Renault was a victim of this incident too. His car received damage because of Sutil veering back onto the track after his collision with Trulli. This knocked Alonso out of the race on Lap 1 as well.

The end of the first lap of the race also saw chaos in the pit lane. McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen pitted, and then upon release his crew did not disengage the fuel hose properly. Kovalainen headed back onto the pit lane with the fuel hose still attached. It broke away spraying gasoline down the pit lane. The gasoline ignited and Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari drove through a momentary firewall in the pit lane. He was unhurt.

With the mayhem of the first lap out of the way, the drivers got down to racing after the yellow flag. Jenson Button of Brawn GP started an aggressive campaign of closing in on and passing cars ahead of him. This was of necessity as he began the race from position 14 on the grid. His goal for Sunday was to secure enough points to gain his first F1 Drivers' Championship.

For Red Bull's Mark Webber he challenged pole sitter Rubens Barrichello for the lead. After the first set of pit stops, he had the lead and ran a precise race gradually building up his lead over Barrichello. Barrichello couldn't hold the pace and gradually faded down the grid. He experienced a tyre puncture, which necessitated an unscheduled pit stop. This eventually saw him finish the race in eighth place.

BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica put in a very strong performance. He held the pace but lost time as cars ahead of him, after his initial pit stop, held him up. This caused him to lose precious seconds and Webber took advantage of this and built a bigger lead. Kubica held on and claimed second spot on the victors' podium.

Britain's Lewis Hamilton of McLaren drove brilliantly as well, watched by millions courtesy of live coverage with BBC F1 - he started the race towards the end of the grid and ended up as the third man on the podium. Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull finished in fourth spot. He also started back on the grid, in 16th spot, however his opening sector of the race was fast and he chipped away until he secured top placing.

Kimi Raikkonen ended up in sixth spot after enduring the fire, a tire puncture and front wing trouble. Overall, he survived to garner three valuable points. Sebastian Buemi of Toro Rosso drove a clean race and finished seventh gaining two points.

While not the Brazilian Grand Prix winner, Jenson Button was clearly the story of the day. His fifth place finish based on daring driving of a controlled intensity garnered him four points. That was enough to crown him F1 champion of 2009, with one race left to go. His Brawn GP team also won the Constructors Championship.

With deserved kudos to Jenson Button, Mark Webber perhaps unfairly received less attention for his win on Sunday. That's the nature of Formula 1 when a new champion receives his crown. In the end, Webber's performance was one of class and was not lost on knowledgeable F1 fans who admire skilled driving such as his.

Formula 1 has one race left on this year's calendar. That's the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Teams will compete hard as they did in this week's Brazilian Grand Prix. They will want the positives from the last race of the season to carry over to the start of next year. It should mean an interesting race under the sun in the UAE.

Broadway Play Reviews - 3 Must See Shows For Fall http://www.articletrader.com/sports/broadway-play-reviews-3-must-see-shows-for-fall.html http://www.articletrader.com/sports/broadway-play-reviews-3-must-see-shows-for-fall.html Sun, 25 Oct 2009 14:50:42 -0500
1) God Of Carnage - This show won the Tony Award for Best Play so it makes the top of the list for Broadway play reviews. For most this production is the best new play presently running on Broadway and is a "must see". The show struts an unbelievable Hollywood cast of James Gandolfini, Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis and Marcia Gay Hardin, who each put out splendid performances. Marcia Gay Hardin took home the Tony Award for Best Actress In A Play.

The play debuted on London's West End and came straight to Broadway after it's run. The show has quick-witted banter and a sometimes imaginary plot revolving around a pair of parents dealing with their eleven year old children's mischief on a playground. Do not miss a chance to see this all-star cast who delivers such true to life dialogue, which brings the show to life.

2) The 39 Steps - A Tony nominee for Best Play. Based on the original Alfred Hitchcock movie but with some subtle changes. The play is fast-paced and side splitting throughout keeping audiences in stiches night after night. The play has been imported from London's West End where it won the 2007 Oliver for Best New Comedy. A wonderful whodunit mystery revolving around a man trying to exonerate himself from a murder he did not commit. Its highlights includes a four person cast covering over 150 roles.

3) August: Osage County - Finally on the list of Broadway play reviews comes this interesting comedic drama. Reasons why this play makes the list are because of it's accolades, which include Deanna Dunagan in a Tony-winning performance, a Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony for Best Play.

The story centers on a dysfunctional southern family after learning of their absent father death creating a turning point for the family as secrets are exposed. As they attempt to sort out their mother's problems of addictions and abuse the story takes on many dark tones, which may not appeal to everyone. Still for those who are looking forward to seeing some unconventional Broadway drama then this is a play not to be missed. Running three full hours and twenty minutes while including two intermissions.

Most would agree that when it comes to Broadway play reviews these are a few of the top productions. Each provides a genuine theater experience from astonishing casts, award winning stories and intriguing dialogues. But wait! Why is Catalina Island so popular and ideal for snorkeling tours? For starters, the waters are naturally clean and clear. You will find large kelp forests and a vast array of marine life, which makes it a popular destination for experienced and beginning snorkelers and divers.

One popular destination for scuba diving and snorkeling tours is the Avalon Underwater Park. This park was established in 1965. It is located just behind the Catalina Casino Building. The great diving and snorkeling conditions and easy accessibility makes it a popular plunge among tourists. Warmer water and smooth surface conditions bring many divers during the summer months.

For those who love diving year round, amazing diving conditions continue during the winter months of September through January. These pristine water conditions make diving near the casino a beckon for the diving enthusiast, year round.

Catalina Island is well known for its great snorkeling and diving locations. Three locations can be reached by foot within the City of Avalon. These include the Lover's Cove Marine Preserve (Snorkeling only), the Descanso Beach Club (Snorkeling only), and the Avalon Underwater Park (Scuba Diving and Snorkeling). If you are looking for more than snorkeling from shore, look into taking a trip on the "Scuba Cat" tour boat for a half day snorkel adventure.

While Catalina Island is most well known for its beautiful, clean, and clear waters, it is also a great place to hike or bike. In the inner parts of the island, you will find an assortment of rolling hills and secluded coves, bald eagles, catalina fox, and even buffalo. Hiking permits are required, but they are available free at the Conservancy Office, located at 125 Clarissa Ave. As for biking, you must purchase a $20 permit that is valid for 2-days; this small fee is well worth the investment.

In short, Catalina Island is a popular vacation destination, but it is still a relatively well-kept secret. By timing your trip right, you will gain access to some of the best snorkeling tours in on the USA West Coast.
