An accredited two year community college located in El Dorado , Kansas in United States Butler Community College is a large college with over 9500 student enrollments. More than others the college is renowned for its independent study format used for multiple disciplines for which it has already earned top rankings in Kansas university directory .
Campus Features On campus dormitories of the community college can house 345 students. Faculty student ratio is 1:17. Branch campuses are located in Andover , Rose Hill, Marion , McConnell, and Council Grove. Several distance learning sites are located in high schools of the area. Brief History Founded in 1927, the community college was originally named the Butler Community College since El Dorado is the Butler County seat. However the college was renamed recently. Accreditation The school is accredited with the Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association of Colleges, National League of Nursing, and Kansas State Board of Nursing. Courses are offered in the areas of business, language arts, personal development, biological vocabulary, and in legal and medical terminology Courses Offered Offering over sixty different types of programs one of the unique features of the Butler Community College is its academic achievement centers and independent study format. In addition several courses are also taught in face to face as well as online education format. Under the independent study format students choose their own consistent weekly attendance times and work independent of classroom settings. Unique Features Besides the independent study options, the students also have the option of enrolling later than in other classes.
