When it comes to learning a new language, it can be very hard to know when it’s too late to get started. We all have the capacity to learn our whole lives, and in fact many studies have shown that learning something new on a regular basis, such as a language, may actually help to prolong the lifespan of the average human being!

Perhaps the biggest advantages are for those who actually live or work most of the time in a country where English is the primary language. The fact of the matter is that for many people living in Canada, the United States, and other English speaking countries, a failure to learn some of the rudimentary parts of the language may pose a serious barrier to health, safety, even transportation. It could be that you have made it through your life just fine so far, but think of how much easier the ability to actually speak and understand the language could make things.

In short, there is no reason at all why age, any age, should be a barrier when it comes to learning English as a second language. You are never too old to learn something new, and when it comes to a new language there is nothing but benefits!
