If you want to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, then at the undergraduate level you will have to take up psychology as your subject. The 4 year psychology degree won't qualify you to start your own private practice. In order to do so, you will have to get a Master's Degree and then a Doctorate Degree.

However, while you pursue all these options, there is a way for you to get your career in psychology started on the right footing. With a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, there are a number of career options available for you.

As a student graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, you may prefer to work in fields where you deal with people on a daily basis. Typically, you can work in areas like Case Management, as a Career Counselor, as a Psychiatric Technician, or as a Rehabilitation Specialist.
