Cherish true love

Submitted by divineflowerdesigns

The feeling of loving someone more than yourself was such an amazing feeling that I will treasure forever in my life. I'm sure everyone has deeply fell in love at least once in their life time. At least I know I did. I once fell in love with a boy that I meet when I was in grade 9. He was not in any of my classes, but he was good friends with one of the boy's locker next to mine. He was open, kind, loving, attentive and it was so impossible to resist. Our story is sweet and bitter at the same time. But I really appreciate God for giving me the opportunity and chance to meet him in my life. It was like a gift from God. I think the chance of us started dating was by mistake. I don't know if he really remember, but I think I was taken by surprised the first time he held on to my hand at the library. I never thought he would love a girl like me. I never really thought of myself as pretty, but he's so patient and kind hearted to accept me for who I am and not how I look like and see the true color of me from within. For that I really appreciated him and I think he's an amazing person because he has such a big heart. I promised myself that no matter if our relationship last or not. I will always have him first place in my heart. Haven't said that I also discovered that he's a very loyal person to the person he loves, his family and his friends. I remembered one time he showed me a letter in his wallet that was given to him by a little girl when he was in elementary school and till that day he still kept the letter in his wallet and that was about five years later or more since he last saw the little girl. He never opened the letter and see what the letter was saying, but he told me that it's something a girl gave him, so he will treasure it in his life forever. I think till this day he still have that letter in his wallet I bet you.

During the time we were together we were truly in love with each other and had a long distance relationship for many years after we both graduated from high school. He decided to go to Ottawa to attend University. During that time it was very hard, because I only get to see him when he gets a break from school, so that was three times a year. I always look forward for him to come back to Vancouver and visit. But our love for each other was strong, the time we get to see each other we enjoyed each and every minute of each other's company. But all good things must come to an end. When he graduated from University it was the time we broke up, because he have to move back to Taiwan and work. I was devastated but understand at the same time. Nerveless, I was mad or hate him for making such a decision. I just accepted that we did had a wonderful relationship and falling in love with each other was the best thing that happened to both of us. For almost 9 years I haven't seen or talked to him, but just recently we started talking to each other again. I noticed how we both are so mature and grew up to be really wonderful people.

Finally I understand why our relationship did not work out. God is giving us both a chance to learn more about ourselves and achieve our goals during this time. I must say, that I'm very happy with my life now and I'm a very successful professional wedding floral designer and holds a very high position in a very large company in Vancouver BC. All in all I'm not sad or bitter that our relationship didn't work out, instead I will always cherish the time we spent together. I'm sure he feels the same way too.
