Decision Making and the Law of Attraction

Successful people know the power of being able to make decisions. Actions produce results, but the first step is making the decision to act.

We all make decisions each and every day, but many people do not make bold, purposeful decisions. By not making conscious decisions, they allow life to simply "happen" to them. They end up reacting to their circumstances instead of being pro active to create the life that will fulfill their purpose.

There has been a lot of media attention on the Law of Attraction within the last year. The Secret has brought the Law of Attraction to the masses and has even been featured on Oprah. It has not, however, been without controversy.

There are some who say that the message of The Secret is too "secular" because, in their minds, it does not acknowledge the existence of a Supreme Being.

I happen to be a Christian, but do not feel that the Law of Attraction is in conflict with my spiritual beliefs. On the contrary, the principals of the Law of Attraction can be found throughout the Bible. When The Secret talks about "asking the Universe" for what we want, I simply choose to substitute "asking God". The principle is universal and is at work in our lives regardless of our religious persuasions. The fact is that we all attract into our lives the things upon which we are focused.

Other people object to the message of The Secret because they feel it is too materialistic. I do not believe it is noble to want only enough to satisfy your own needs. We are here to use our gifts and talents to create abundance. There is no such thing as "too much money". The more abundance we create, the more we can impact the lives of others and make positive changes the world. He who has the most can help the most people.

Decision-making is an integral part of the Law of Attraction. You are not going to get the results you desire by living a passive life. You have to decide exactly what it is that you desire so you can make the appropriate choices to achieve your goals.

Do you love your life? You get to decide what your life looks like. You can make the decision to be grateful for everything that is good in your life. You can make the decision to act in a loving and compassionate manner in all of your relationships. You can make the decision to create abundance so you can contribute to the organizations that share your passions.

If you always keep your goals in focus, it makes it much easier to determine the choices that you need to make to achieve them. Be consciously aware of the decisions you are making so you can determine if they will best serve your purpose.

The question to ask yourself is this: "What is it that I want to achieve, and what decisions do I need to make right now, in this moment, to help me reach my goals?"

Be bold and make the decision to make the choices and take the actions that will move you forward today.
