There is a unique tradition in Carnegie Mellon University. Every year, one of their faculty member will be asked to deliver a lecture called The Last Lecture. The faculty members were asked to speak on what is the most important thing in their lives as they face their own imminent death.

Randy Pausch was asked to speak. He did not need to imagine about his impending death. He is diagnosed with terminal cancer and was given between three to six more months to live. His lecture however, was not about dying, but about achieving one’s childhood’s dreams.
