One day as I was trawling the internet for self help material, an article by Anisa Aven struck me. Anisa was talking about rain-dancing. Even though I knew what it was I never linked it to the manifestation process.

However, when I read Anisa’s article, she suggested its importance and in fact I have made rain-dancing a part of my life now. If you are wondering what rain-dancing is, let me just give you an idea. When some native American tribes prayed for rain, they would celebrate the coming of the rain. They would arrange a party, dance, ululate, sing and feel the rain. The moment they prayed they believed that the rain was on its way and it was time to give thanks and enjoy. In fact these tribes saw the process of rain-dancing as a necessary step for the rains to actually come.

We can do the same with our life situations. When we want to manifest something, once we have asked we have done our part. We can now celebrate the receiving. Why not dance, scream and shout and lose yourself in the joy that you have already received what you have asked?

Surely you can see how powerful this approach is. How many times do we ask for something and then engage our minds in when or how what we desire is going to come to us? Can you see the real difference in actually jumping for joy instead of worrying about the hows and whens. How many times do we ask for something and then sink in despair, hopelessness and depression?

Whilst it is hard for many of us to remain strong in faith when things appear to the contrary, the practise of rain-dancing can be very empowering, exhilarating and can lift your spirits up. This is what we need. We need to spare no time in negative thoughts and try to fill each moment with joy and expectation. Instead of expending your energy in measuring how far you are from your ideals; celebrate, and put your trust in God that it is on its way.

Just like the native Americans danced in the rain, so too should you begin to enjoy your desires even before their physical manifestation. If your desire is a car, once you have asked you should begin driving it. See it, feel it, touch it and smell it! As ridiculous as it may sound, doing so is a demonstration of real extra-ordinary faith. Christian D Larson in his book, The Ideal Made Real, writes, ‘We must never recognize the gulf that seems to exist between our present state and the state we desire to reach.’

The act of rain-dancing shows that you don’t recognise the gulf, in fact you have a knowing that what you see in your mind is real and on its way to you. Faith to the point of knowing is very essential in the manifestation process. Rain-dancing is not only a tool for enhancing your faith but is also an act of extraordinary faith in itself. Not only does it shift you from negativity it also keeps your thoughts in alignment with what you want. In addition, rain-dancing shows that we are grateful and put our trust in the abundance of the Universe. So instead of nitpicking, working out how long, or how far your desire is from manifestation, celebrate its coming. Go on put on some loud music and lose yourself in the joy of what is already yours.
