The Why-Not-To's of Success

Submitted by SuccessClinic

Everyone wants to succeed – at the Conscious level. We all know it's better to succeed than the alternative! But – and this is the key question that will enable you to get your foot off the brake forever – have you ever stopped to think about what could be Your Why-Not-To's of Success?

In other words, have you ever considered the cost of actually allowing yourself to succeed to your full potential?

I've asked thousands of people in my seminars this question, and the first response I get is… dead silence. Followed by the slightly anxious shuffling in the seats. I can practically hear people's minds whirring as they ask themselves the unexpected question: "Gee, I've never thought of that before…What could possibly be a cost of allowing myself to succeed?”

Then, a few moments later, I start to hear their answers. Typical answers I get from my audience members include:

• Isn't it going to take a lot of time to be really successful?
• I'm too busy – look at my to-do list!
• I don't want the extra responsibility.
• What if my family doesn't approve?
• What if my husband is jealous of me?
• What if someone laughs at me?
• What if my friends don't like me any more?
• What if I succeed and then can't sustain it?
• What if I have to spend too much time away from my family?
• What if I go for it and lose it all?
• What if people find out I'm a fraud?

Did you notice something amazing about all these Why-Not-To's of Success? They are all held in your Subconscious mind. Meaning: no one you will ever meet wakes up in the morning, looks out their bedroom window and says, "Ahhh, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and I feel great. I think I'll hold myself back from success today!"

Nor does anyone say, "I think I'll buy this book (or go to this seminar, or start this new program) to learn how to sabotage myself better!"

On the night of October 20, 1997, a 30-year-old religious studies major named Noah St. John had an epiphany that changed his life. While attending a seminar, he suddenly realized the real, hidden reason so many smart, talented, motivated people stop themselves from success – and saw it had nothing to do with goal-setting, "motivation" or anything being taught in traditional success literature. That very night, with no formal education in business, Noah decided to form a company to teach people around the world the simple steps that remove the hidden barriers to success.
