A Phone For EverybodySubmitted by Christine Layug Thu, 5 Nov 2009
Philippines is one of the many Asian countries in which Nokia is considered as their top brand of mobile phones. One reason is because of their mobile phones that mainly revolutionized the mobile phone industry, particularly when Nokia introduced the first smartphone in which expanded to the now popular Nseries mobile phones. But that's not the only reason why Nokia became very popular in the Philippines, as well as with other developing countries. One reason is also because of Nokia's passion to provide not only for the higher caste, but also for the middle and lower caste of society.
Nokia is one of the many manufacturers that released a series of mobile phones directed towards developing countries, particularly in the Philippines. One of these brands is the Nokia 1100s. The Nokia 1100 Cellular in Philippine Phone is a durable and very simple GSM mobile phone produced by Nokia with a 96 x 65 monochrome screen. The phone is targeted towards users who do not require advanced features beyond making calls and SMS text messages, alarm clock, reminders, etc. Over 200 million Nokia 1100 cellphones have been sold since its launch in late 2003, making it the world's best selling phone handset, as well as the best selling consumer electronics device in the world, beating Sony's Playstation 2 (138 million), Apple's iPod (170 million) and Motorola's RAZR (120 million). But other than the Nokia 1100 Cellular in Philippine Phone, older versions of this mobile phone are still available across the Philippines, such as the popular 3310 and its other versions. The 3310 mobile phones were released in the fourth quarter of 2000, in which replaced the massively popular Nokia 3210. This phone sold extremely well, particularly in the Philippines, being one of the most successful phones with 126 million pieces sold. Like the Nokia 1100, the 3310 Cellular in Philippine Phone is a compact but somewhat heavy (133 g) phone featuring an 84 x 48 monochrome display. It has a lighter 115g battery variant which has fewer features; for example the 133g battery version has the start-up image of two hands touching while the 115g version doesn't. But what made it popular, even up until now, is the phone's affordability. With Nokia, a person wouldn't have to invest a large amount of money just to buy a mobile phone. Nokia can still provide a way for a person to own a mobile phone. For more information visit to our site at http://www.expressregalo.com
