A WOW Philippine Technology

Singing on the karaoke machine is one of the popular past times that Filipinos do on their day-offs and on week ends. Singing along with friends and families doesn't only provide entertainment, but are also one way of bonding. Because of the popularity of karaoke, several upgrades and innovations have been made with the machine. One in particular is the wow magic sing or generally known as Magic Microphones or Magic Mic.

Magic Mic is the generic term for karaoke microphones that have embedded songs and require an external video display. This configuration makes them light and portable. Enter-Tech was the first manufacturer to release a portable karaoke microphone in 2000 called Magic Sing. Philippines was then the next country that released the same technology under the a new brand called the wow magic sing. Wow magic sing was introduced into the Philippines by In-A-Jiffy Printing, a one stop shop printing company in 1998.

It was in 1999 that In-A-Jiffy Printing started selling portable videoke in the Philippines. It was also the year in which is founder, Mr. Sanchez, got involved in financing the source of wow magic sing, which is from Enter-Tech (ET) of Korea. In 2001, In-A-Jiffy Printing was renamed as In-A-Jiffy Enterprise (IAJE) headed by now president/CEO Sanchez, and from that year dealership of Magicsing Videoke has spread throughout the Philippines with all major appliance store chains carrying the brand. IAJE and its sister company G2K Corporation has been aggressively pushing for the brand and bringing it within reach of every Filipino wherever they are.

Other than its use as for entertainment, wow magic sing has also been used by the Philippine Department of Tourism as a promoting tool. In 2003, it established a partnership with the Department of Tourism and Pfizer Bonamine to promote and support the WOW! Philippines Biyahe Tayo! campaign. IAJE have adapted a new name for the videoke microphone it carries, the WOW MAGICSING PREMIUM. The new wow magic sing features the best travel destination, festival, flora, and fauna in the Philippines as picture background. It aims to create a sense of nationalism among Filipinos and to showcase to the world the beauty of the Philippines.
