Awesome on trend autumn accessories

When it comes to making an outfit complete, accessories really do mean everything. Whether you are a magpie who loves her bling or new to the world of accessorising, worry not - there is a level and style of accessories to suit every taste and style. Adding accessories can really update your look and bring your wardrobe straight into the new autumn and winter season in style.

If you aren't used to wearing jewellery start off by trying out a few key pieces. A simple necklace can really emphasise the neckline of an evening dress, or some statement earrings can brighten up an otherwise everyday ensemble. Bangles are perfect for day wear and will complement most outfits, whilst adding an injection of colour into the darkening autumn days.

If you're a more adventurous jewellery wearer however, why not explore some of this season's key accessory trends?

Rich, gemstone colours are best and should be used to complement the darker shades of outfit that are popular around this time of year.

The floral trend from the summer continues well into the new season and in the shops you will see beautiful corsages which can be attached to tops or dresses, and floral themed quirky rings. This ultra-feminine look will have you remembering those lovely hazy summer days right into the winter.

Also popular is tribal jewellery. Thick, chunky stones in asymmetrical shapes and vibrant, rich colours add interest to any outfit and are so catching they work well as a focal point for your look.

This season feathers are everywhere. They dangle from earrings or on the end of necklaces and come in a variety of shades, from subtle and classy evening black, to bold and beautiful reds and oranges.

Quirky animal jewellery is also popular and is a definite talking point. Choose from glittering crab brooches or a sassy giraffe ring to really add the rarr factor to your look.

Gold remains a favourite in jewellery design and is easy to wear whilst being flattering on most skin tones. For a classic look accessorise with some signature gold earrings or a chunky gold bangle, both of which look really great teamed with black.

The glamour of 1940s fashion is also set to make a resurgence this season, so make sure you have your fabulous pearl necklace at the ready, to really set off that sultry red lipstick pout.

Use this season's jewellery to update your autumn and winter wardrobe and wait for the compliments to come rolling in.
