Spring is a time of renewal and making a resolution to yourself for the coming year. This time of the year can also often feel a little depressing and empty as we wait for the new life to emerge from the ground. So now is a good time to plan a spring break and along with that plan and new wardrobe to take on the spring break with you.

Spring break has lots of different meanings – in the USA it equates to lots of university students going a bit wild and stripping off in the spring sunshine – Spring Break in this article doesn’t mean that!

The kind of break we are talking about here is the sort where you escape from the doldrums of the grey winter at home and find yourself in a new space. It could mean going to a winter venue and tramping in snow on the mountains, escaping to a warmer climate or just renting a cottage in the country. It is all about breaking away from the day-to-day routine and being inspired by the countryside around us.

By taking a spring break you are giving yourself time to re-evaluate yourself and your wardrobe.

There are lots of new clothes emerging from the cocoon of winter. It is a great time to shake off the winter clothes and your winter ideals and to start a new you! Look at earthy colours with a hint of brightness to pull your outfit out of the winter bleakness. There are some fantastic clothes which involve bright pinks and greens to liven up your spring wardrobe. Also think about layering – this is a great way to add colour to an outfit and also makes sense in spring when it can be a bit colder.
There are a great range of scarves and accessories which can add colour to winter outfits and change an outfit from winter to spring. There are fantastic pieces of jewellery which can add sophistication to an outfit or just some great designs for new clothes that will update and transform your wardrobe.

So why not get your clothes out of your wardrobe now – have a long look at them and plan a spring break. Whether it is a walking holiday in the Cotswolds, a trip to Madeira to sample the wine or a wintersports holiday in the alps you will need to work out what to wear.
