The attire of a person conveys a lot. It speaks for the person. There's a saying as, "It's not the clothes that makes the man but the man that makes the clothes." The dress is the mirror image of the personality. Beauty can be enhanced as well as spoiled with the attire. Clothes can add to the looks of a person but the same clothes, if wrongly chosen can also deteriorate the looks of the very person. In the modern world, we are lucky to have thousands of different types and designs of clothes for our every mood. Modern clothes are not just limited to a certain country or ethnicity, but what we like to wear in the modern world incorporates cultures and subcultures from across the world. But what was that before us? What did the people in the past used to wear? Let's have a look.

Kostumers have been around since the birth of civilization, then it was ceremonial attire that people had to wear on religious festivals. The outfit included masks, headdresses, and elaborated jewelry. Then came the custom of wearing special type of clothes for theatres. Theatres were a source of entertainment that came from religious festivals. Initially they were just religious plays. In those days, people would make their own outfits, to portray themselves as someone they were not. Afterwards, in the medieval era, clothing was deeply influenced by Roman clothing and the trend continued for a long time. In the 13th century, after the crusades, fashion came into being with elegant dressing followed by tailoring in the next century. The Elizabethan attire was stiff and starched whereas the 17th century clothing was much softer. The succeeding century saw the rise of Paris becoming the fashion hub of the world.

Halloween is a time when people can don kostumers of all sizes, shapes, and colours. Make your Halloween the best ever with matching accessories with your kostumer. Accessories truly complement the outfit. It's the time to dress up. You can dress up as a witch, a goblin or a vampire. Children look really cute dressed as little witches or goblins. The more horrifying the kostumer, the better it is for you, as that'll earn you more admiration of others. Other than the conventional ghosts and witches, movie characters or comic heroes also make great Halloween kostumers. You can dress up your kid as Wolverine from the movie X-men, or Count Dracula, or Joker from Batman-there are innumerable dressing options for your little stars. Children wait for this season anxiously to dress up in the most outrageous manner to say "trick or treat". You and your spouse can also be two different monsters this Halloween. Bring back your teenage days when you used to incorporate your imagination and creativity into your outfit. A little effort with those needles and threads can do a lot to make your existing dress all the more thrilling. And people will be left wondering who you are! But whatever be the dress, make sure it's safe. Don't forget to take proper safety measures at your place when you arrange a party. Also, wear something that you are comfortable in. Try it a few times at least a week prior to the festival, to see if it fits you properly.

Have fun!
