2. Choose the right colour

There are three acceptable colours for men to buy for their first set of lingerie, they are Red, Grey and purple. If you want to portray the perception of wanting something more in the relationship then red is the best colour to buy. Grey and Black lingerie should be purchased if you want her to feel sexy whilst going out and purple is often used to portray purity in the relationship. Most people who do buy purple lingerie will be lingerie that is chemises, gowns or full robes.

3. Buy the Right Size

Giving your girlfriend the wrong size lingerie, is the number one moment killer however it is easy to ensure this doesn't happen. Simply cheat!

The key way to work out her size, is to check the underwear she is wearing now. Sneak a quick peek at both her bra and panty size and then write them down. Make sure that when you start looking for the lingerie that you take those sizes with you.

This will help you ensure that what you are choosing is right.

4. Don't buy Peek-a-boo Lingerie (unless she asks for it)

When buying lingerie for your girlfriend for it is highly recommended that you do not choose any lingerie that may expose her crotch area. Whilst peek-a-boo lingerie is great for relationships that have matured, it is not the right style for first timers.

5. Don't get upset if she doesn't like

The last key piece of advice that is appropriate is that don't get upset if your girlfriend doesn't like the lingerie. Many gents feel rejected if their girlfriends don't give positive feedback on opening the gift. Tough that's life!
