How To Choose Designer SunglassesSubmitted by mjjames1 Mon, 8 Dec 2008
If you are thinking about purchasing new sunglasses, then why not consider designer sunglasses? Designer sunglasses are an affordable way to get a foot onto the “designer” ladder, and will last for years if you choose wisely.
1. If you are looking for sunglasses for driving or sport, then designer sunglasses may not be suitable. You will need to make sure that you can still see properly out of them, and that they are not just a fashion statement. There’s no point in trying to play golf in sunglasses that have small lenses and don’t provide the features that you need in order to enjoy your golf. 2. Different people like different styles, and what may in fashion this year, might not be in fashion next year. Choosing classic designs that are not too fashionable will ensure that they are always stylish, even if they are not the latest fashion. 3. If you follow the trends set by celebrities, then you may already know what to look for, and who’s style and fashion sense you want to emulate. 4. Do you have a style in mind, or do you want sunglasses from a particular designer, or colour? Some classic designs are available from several different designers, whilst certain colours may be available from a few designers. 5. If you wear glasses or sunglasses already then perhaps you know what styles, shapes and colours suit you, and what you like. Some designers use hi-tech frames or metals, in subdued modern or minimalistic colours. Others use bright colours and lots of glitz. 6. Do you want the world to know that you’re wearing designer sunglasses? Big logos and sparkly or glamorous frames might appeal to you as you want the world to know which designer you like. Alternatively, lightweight minimalistic designs might be more your style. 7. Some designers are known for their outlandish and extravagant clothes; other designers are elegant and understated. This is often evident in their sunglasses. Which type do you prefer? 8. How much you spend could depend on how much you think you will wear them. If you wear sunglasses a lot, then you can be confident that you will get your money’s worth. If you only wear them for a couple of weeks on holiday, you will probably want stylish sunglasses rather than fashionable ones, so that they will last. 9. What will your sunglasses say about you? Will they portray the right image? If you wear sunglasses a lot as part of your job then you will probably need to make sure that they are appropriate, and not too overpowering. If you only wear your sunglasses on holiday, then it doesn’t really matter whether they are elegant and understated or bright and colourful. 10. You will want to protect your designer sunglasses, and need a protective case for them when you are not wearing them. Depending on where they can determine the sort of case you need. If they are going to live in a handbag all summer, then a hard protective case would be advisable. If they are going to live in a drawer until you go on holiday, then a softer case may be more appropriate. Now you know how to choose designer sunglasses, isn’t it time you got some new shades?
