To clean your diamond jewelry, you can use a small and soft brush to do it. Prepare a bowl of warm water with mild detergent and place your diamond jewelry inside it. Then brush the diamonds while they are in the solution. After brushing it, remember to them clear of the detergent and use a small kitchen strainer such as a tea strainer to contain them while rinsing under warm water. After rinsing it clean from detergent, use a clean cloth to pat them dry.

To clean your jewelry, create a solution using warm water and mild liquid dish detergent such as Ivory detergent. Ammonia solution or water solution may be used for fracture-filled diamonds. If other gemstones are included with your diamond, be extremely careful not to damage these during cleaning. There are also jewelry cleaning solutions available in the marketplace, but you can use the household remedy above to save time and money.

One of the simplest and economical ways to clean gold jewelry is to take a bowl of lukewarm to warm water, mix in a little mild detergent soap, immerse the jewelry piece and let it sit for a few minutes which will help dislodge residue and grime. Then use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the piece. Put the piece under running water to wash of the soapy solution, and then pat dry with a soft lint free cloth.

To clean the diamond without affecting its brilliance, it is best to use any of these four methods namely; detergent bath, cold water soak, quick-dip method, and ultrasonic cleaner. If possible, use a cleaning solution that is recommended by the jeweller where you bought your diamond jewelry from since the jeweler will have more experience than you with regards to diamond jewelry cleaning.

A recommended cleaning method is to buy an ammonia solution or take neat ammonia and dilute one-third of cup ammonia to two-thirds of hot water from the tap. Soak the ring in this solution for 10 minutes which will loosen accumulated dirt and grime as well as matter such as bread dough.

Before cleaning try and find out if there are any treatments, which were used on the diamond before being placed in a setting. If you know this, it will be easy for you to clean it. The first thing you should do is, soaking the jewelry in a warm solution made out of water and mild liquid detergent. You can either use ivory liquid for dishwashing or any other mild detergent.
